Beautiful bowl of summer vegetable soup.

SOUP'S ALWAYS ON! I can always count on Publix for a quick bowl of soup. When out shopping, I love to run into grocery stores for a quick bite to eat, especially those that have a café. I can always count on Publix to have some of my favorite soup available. I love their summer vegetable soup which is nicely seasoned and always hot and ready to go. I like being able to purchase it and grab a seat in the little café where I can get my bearings and go over my list of things I need. This is also the time that I might check messages and return calls. My only problem is this: This would be a much better experience if they actually had a register next to the café. It is not very convenient to purchase food, walk to the front to pay and walk back to sit and eat. It would definitely be great to have an open register available during their busiest hours. Luckily, the employee recommended that I check out at customer service to expedite matters and this was very helpful.

Dead bug inside the cheese display

I like this store, but the deli area is always problematic. There's never enough staff to keep up with long lines. I have had to get my deli meat and cheese from Kroger so many times because the wait at Publix is 10-15 minutes or longer. And they need to clean inside the deli display shelves. Dead bug right there for everyone to see.

Ordered a custom cake from here and it was stale. First time I've ever had a stale Publix custom cake.

So much food here from fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy products, ice cream, snacks, and more. Customer service here was great. Nice and clean aisle. Some things I liked and have tried from the frozen food aisles are soup dumplings, roti bread, and chao tom- fried shrimp skewers. I have also tried the assorted cookies, mochi ice cream, ube pancake mix, umami crunchy rice crackers, and of course the famous everything but the bagel seasoning! From our new haul today we also got some frozen goodies; kimbap, naan bread, butter chicken curry dinners, Japanese Taiyaki,, Dutch griddle cakes, chocolate covered prezels, and other snacks. They also have the kids carts! Fun to take a little one shopping along. Will be back again!

There's always lots of free and easy parking, especially on the weekends, which is a huge advantage over ones that are in the city. It is always an adventure discovering new items and revisiting favorites. Some of the things that are always on our list are fresh flowers and herbs, produce, frozen food, pastas, and bread. The employees here are just as nice and helpful as other locations. The people who bag groceries must have played some serious Tetris as kids because they are highly skilled at fitting an extraordinary amount of things into as few bags as possible. We bring our own shopping bags but if the haul is bigger than what we can accommodate, it's good to know that we won't be going home with a million plastic bags but maybe 1-2 sturdy paper bags that can be reused or recycled.

I went to the store today to pick up some food for my pets and one of the associates that works with the manager that was discriminating against me started ducking and hiding in the electronic section of the store at around 6:08am. I had to go home and cry about it because why am I being discriminated at this Walmart if I've never robbed , stole, fought nothing just buy. I cannot wait until a big lawsuit happens for me to join with my video proof because I'm soooo over department stores that take your money but treat you like crap like this Walmart. The discrimination incident was me buying an electronic product returning it the next day because my wi fi was still slow after install. The manager at Walmart and the associates were telling me the serial number on my returned product was wrong and didn't match the receipt. So I told them if they've had me open the box to check before buying then I could better explain however it's on Walmart to check what they are selling not the customer. I told the manager to call the cops for us to investigate who change the item serial number. That lady gave me hell for $80! I did return it back after being stubborn and walking to someone else for help. Some deep investigations need to be done within this Walmart and the persons running it. And I say this because if my product was changed by a Walmart associates I cannot imagine what the associates are back there stealing and doing to then throw it at a customer which is where discrimination comes in. I always had empathy for them being replaced by robots but now I see why. Laziness doesn't help any business.

It used to be available at Atlanta Asian Foods and even Hong Kong Supermarket but no more. I found another black crab paste version at Yonghui but my papaya salad don't taste the same since then. My Cambodian cousins told me that an aunt suggested her to check out Asian Market since that's where she gets her Asian necessity ingredients. Asian Market is located on the corner of Hurricane Shoals and West Pike. You won't see it from the street because it is hidden behind Pancake House. You would not think there's a continuing strip of building there. A lot of stores are run down or abandon. It's been years since I've been there, I knew exactly where it was since I used to live in Lawrenceville. Since the cousin didn't know, I decided to go and it's exactly the same as I remember. It IS very small. But hey, they have what I need to make my papaya salad. They have few small aisles. I did see movies for sale and rent too. So old school. Credit cards are accepted. Minimum of $10 You do not know how happy I am to finally find the Pantainorasingh Brand of Black Crab Paste. Okay, I lied, I was able to find it at Winder Oriental Market, which is Hmong own. I ain't driving to Winder just for this! My sister lives in Winder and I don't even visit her like that lmao. (BTW, we usually meet up at my parent's house) I'm now thinking that Pantainorasingh Brand of Black Crab Paste is a Thai, Lao, Hmong, Cambodian thing. We found other versions but all had soya oil in it or is another brand, which is disgusting. 84/2017

Review for H Mart H…read moreMart is one of my favorite Korean grocery stores--ever. I remember when they first opened locations in the Bay Area in places like San Francisco and San Jose, and I would gladly make the trek just to shop there. I've never been disappointed. The stores are always clean, organized, and full of incredible food options. What really makes H Mart special, though, is that it's more than just a grocery store--it's an experience. Inside this massive market, you'll find a bakery, authentic Korean food stalls, and restaurant-quality meals being made fresh. It's honestly amazing to walk into a grocery store and have access to food that tastes like it came straight from a restaurant kitchen. Because I travel frequently for work across the Southeast--covering a pretty large region--I'm always on the lookout for an H Mart whenever I'm near one. I've been lucky to have access to locations like Cary, North Carolina, and the one in Buford outside Atlanta, which serves a large and vibrant Asian community. Whenever I'm within a reasonable driving distance--usually within about 10 miles--I make a point to stop in and enjoy a delicious, authentic Korean meal that's made to order and very reasonably priced. I've brought friends and colleagues with me, and they've all been blown away by the food stalls. My personal go-to: * LA galbi (Korean short ribs)--if it's on the menu, I'm ordering it * All the little banchan side dishes--I absolutely love them * Fresh seafood options, including live crab and fish that can be cleaned and prepared for you * A stop at the bakery for dessert--think croissant donuts, almond pastries, or a beautiful layered crepe cake Some locations--even the ones I visited years ago on the West Coast--would steam or fry seafood for you right there, which makes dinner incredibly convenient. Another thing I appreciate is the cleanliness. This store truly rivals places like Whole Foods in terms of organization and quality, even while handling live seafood. The parking lots are typically spacious, well-maintained, and easy to navigate. I also love browsing the aisles for specialty ingredients you can't find everywhere. For example, they carry my favorite laksa noodles, which remind me of a Malaysian dish I fell in love with while visiting a friend in Mauritius. It's always fun to discover unique items like that. The staff--both in the grocery store and at the food stalls--are friendly and helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. Bottom line: If you're anywhere near Cary, North Carolina--or even the Buford, Georgia area--do yourself a favor and make a beeline to H Mart. As a lifelong foodie, I truly believe: Life is too short not to eat well.

Not at any other H-Marts, but at this Duluth location, things have just gone awry in the past few years. For one, they allow religious harassment at their door. I really don't appreciate being flagged down and chased by Bible "advocates" outside their door. I find that really intrusive, and bordering harassment. One time, this bawdy Korean lady chased me toward my car with this religious pamphlet...when I clearly told her "NO"...not interested. I mean, what more can I do or say without being chased like that??? So rude! I can't believe H-Mart is letting these folks harass their customers like this. Not all the people that shop at this mart is a Catholic, or Christian, or religious at all. Even if they are, they STILL may not wish to be harassed like this. For some folks, religion (or spirituality) is a personal thing. Religious harassment is so offputting...and inappropriate? I mean, this is a supermarket!!! It's just beyond the pale. This right here made me drop 2 stars off the bat! Then their weird food court hours. I mean, most food courts are up and running from 11 am on...but here, they start opening past 12 pm. I think on the day I was there, they were opening the food court closer to 12:30! That's just not acceptable. Lastly, I find their layout extremely awkward and uncomfortable to manuever around.
