I started shopping at Publix a few years ago due to their clean stores, and friendly and plentiful staff. By that I mean there were always at least three cashiers open WITH baggers as opposed to the competition down the street with one cashier and zero baggers. (I boycotted that store due to the lack of customer service). That brings me to today's visit at Publix. I had about 20-25 items and went to the only line open which had a line. The two people in front of me each had just a few items plus a larger order in front of them. So I took my cart and went to self checkout unwillingly, but not wanting to stand and wait. I have no problem with self checkout when I only have a few things. I was unhappy today that I had to go to self checkout with my numerous items. The entire reason I changed to Publix was for the customer service which has now changed to customer no-service. The employee who was manning the self check out never spoke to me or thanked me or asked me to return. I may as well go back to Kroger and get no customer service, but cheaper prices. read more

The lady at the pharmacy was very rude. She barely spoke and acted as if I had covid or something. Then proceeded to ask me if I had questions when I thought the pharmacist usually goes over the medicine with you and then ask if you have questions. Pretty disappointed by the level of service I received at the pharmacy. Good thing it was for my sister and not me I would never use this. As for the actual selection of products in the publix - it's decent but very over priced. I try not to shop here when I can avoid it. read more

Ordered a custom cake from here and it was stale. First time I've ever had a stale Publix custom cake.

Before I get into my review, I want to be clear that I was not the person involved, I was a witness. Though the lady that was involved may not have spoken up, I thought it important that I share my experience. I don't have my receipt so I'm not sure of the time exactly but your videos will validate this. I came in to grab a sub while my pup was being groomed. In line was a heavyset Asian gentleman who was being served by what appeared to be a Pakistani's woman who was at the time working alone making the subs. Behind him was a young African American woman and her son who was seated in the cart in front of her and being quite active. Some minutes went by and as the line grew, a woman who appeared to be of Asian ethnicity joined her. Her name badge read Edna. Edna began to assist the other employee and was making the AA woman's sandwich. I watched as she dumped oregano mostly in the center of the sub and finish dressing it. The woman asked a few times for a side of deli dressing, then a third once Edna had wrapped her sandwich. Edna left to retrieve a small cup for drips and sauces and proceeded to fill it stopping about a fourth of the way, putting a lid on it and giving it to the AA woman. The customer was taken aback at Edna not filling the cup for her to the halfway mark. At first Edna seemed confused as to her request and then she smirked and filled it to the customers liking. The lady then asked her if it was the oregano that she dumped in the middle of the sandwich and could she season the sandwich from end to end, and not just in the middle. Again, Edna seemed confused after the woman asked at least four times and then even using her hands to demonstrate seasoning a sandwich from end to end and then out of frustration she gave up. Now most of the actions in this may be policy and it's not even the point of the review. It's what happened AFTER the woman began to walk away that put me at odds. As a customer I literally watched Edna behind the counter, loo to her coworker with an ugly smirk as the woman walked away which made me feel as if I too would get the same smirk if I gave an odd request or said something that she didn't understand or agree with. She was neither rude nor pleasant and in this climate of social pressure not feeling at ease ordering food where employees feel this is acceptable really leaves me in question. I don't want her to be terminated, yet I would like for her to maybe enroll in some sensitivity trainings and maybe skim through the customer service manual there at the store so she can return to work ready to genuinely help some people and connect vulnerably to the community that shops there and not smirk at customers they don't understand. It was obvious she was very busy but she made time for me, took my order, did not make me feel rush to take my special order and was very patient and kind. Exceptional customer service. 10/12/22 Visit - Publix has this seasonal Turf 'n Surf deli sandwich that I believe consists of the following ingredients: London Broil Crispy Shrimp Romaine lettuce Horseradish cheese (yassss, never thought I would like this) Mayonnaise Spicey Mustard(?) When I say , it truly is!!! Unfortunately, most locations do not keep any available in their deli case. To say the least, this location did not have todayI.... I really hope they keep this sandwich for an extended period of time versus seasonal. 10/11/22 Went there for the sandwich I love so much and it was not available, however there was a deli staff member tidying up the case and asked if she could help me...I asked if they had any of the Turf ' Surf in the back and she (Ummay) said she would check for me. She came back with no avail and volunteered to make it for me. I was pretty hesitant because I had visited another location at another time and they were clueless, but made it. I was so stinking upset after the first bite!!!! It tasted nothing like what I had before. Well, I CANNOT, WILL NOT say this about Ummay's handywork!!!!l. Kudos Ummay!!! Very backhanded customer service. I went down the express line because I only have 9 items. The woman tells me to go to another line because I have wic vouchers to use and "it'll take too long" then tells me oh what a cute baby. Like thanx, for nothing... grab my 9 items off the belt and go back around. The next line tells me everything is just wrong that I picked out. And one of the items was Kefir. And for anybody out there who doesn't know what kefir is, it's a yogurt drink. Hence why it's in the yogurt isle at Publix and just about everywhere else. They say " no no no no ma'am this is milk. It says so on the front ' low fat milk' " yes that's essentially how you make some yogurt is with milk. But because she just had to pull the kefir out of my bag to show me that it had the word "milk" on the front she didn't even put it back in the bag. Didn't notice till I got home that it was gone. The drink wasn't that much but it was the fact she clearly cared more about pointing that out. Ide rather just rip these vouchers up and not eat then deal with people like her ever again. There are so many great people in customer service it's crazy but it's the 2% like these people that do make the team look bad. read more

SOUP'S ALWAYS ON! I can always count on Publix for a quick bowl of soup. When out shopping, I love to run into grocery stores for a quick bite to eat, especially those that have a café. I can always count on Publix to have some of my favorite soup available. I love their summer vegetable soup which is nicely seasoned and always hot and ready to go. I like being able to purchase it and grab a seat in the little café where I can get my bearings and go over my list of things I need. This is also the time that I might check messages and return calls. My only problem is this: This would be a much better experience if they actually had a register next to the café. It is not very convenient to purchase food, walk to the front to pay and walk back to sit and eat. It would definitely be great to have an open register available during their busiest hours. Luckily, the employee recommended that I check out at customer service to expedite matters and this was very helpful. read more

I typically love Publix and find their staff friendly and helpful. Most of you already know the set up and what they offer, so I'm just going to share why this particular shop is getting 3 stars. On Tuesday evening I popped by to pick up a few things, including BOGO items (buy one get one). In the produce section they had guacamole on sale 2 for $5. I asked the produce guy to confirm the expiration date written in mice size print on the package. I also asked him to confirm I selected the correct BOGO guacamole. At the register the guacamole rang up for $5 each and I informed the cashier of the BOGO. A young lady came from customer service to walk the item back to check the price. I followed her to ensure she saw where I picked the products up from. At the display the young lady asked the produce guy about the BOGO price and the told me because "you picked the organic so it's not a BOGO, you have to get another one that's not organic". This was said with a bothersome, "I'm annoyed" tone. I then told her that the produce guy told me that the organic was included in the BOGO, hence I selected it. I chose another guacamole and checked out. I asked the cashier for the manager and was surprised to hear that it was the same young lady. In a pinch I'll most likely return to the store.. just hope they work on their customer service skills. read more

Management at this location is horrible. I spoke with a manager about a sale item that I was wanting to purchase. This particular manager told me that it was on the truck to be delivered that night. Came back next day, still no inventory or fulfillment. Came back the next day and manager gets attitude telling me it's not his fault that the truck didn't deliver sale products. I understand these are challenging times, but the manner and arrogance the manager displayed was rude and unacceptable. I told him I guess I needed to go to Kroger to get the items that they couldn't deliver. He encouraged me to do so. What? Pretty sure that's not the Publix model. read more

The prices here are definitely higher than the competition (Kroger and Ingles), and the parking situation...make sure your life insurance is paid current before entering their parking lot...its vicious! read more

Epiphany that occurred when shopping in a Publix for the first time in my life: 1. This is the best shopping cart I have every pushed. It did nothing special but simple was push-able without an issue. Which, I wonder about how little I expect from shopping carts. 2. The sell of beer and wine on Sundays is illegal here, and apparently is so in much of the south. I was flabbergasted by this and took a picture that I set as the background of my iPhone. 3. Despite the legal effects of the previous point, the selection of beer and wine was amazing. 4. Tofu and tempeh and we made a great meal of Thai food that we ate in the hotel room and cats came into the room and it was delicious. 5. There is no sensible way to sell basil, for what it is, it is terrible over-expensive. read more

I like this store, but the deli area is always problematic. There's never enough staff to keep up with long lines. I have had to get my deli meat and cheese from Kroger so many times because the wait at Publix is 10-15 minutes or longer. And they need to clean inside the deli display shelves. We placed an order for subs the night prior to our scheduled vacation. The next day when we went to pick up at our scheduled time, the order was not there. Apparently someone picked our order up by mistake. We needed to hurry in order to catch our flight. The workers in the deli quickly prepared our order at no charge because of the confusion. If looking to pre-order and pick up a cake from the Publix located at 1905 Scenic Hwy N Ste 4000 Snellville, GA you will serve yourself well to keep looking elsewhere. I ordered a Birthday cake for my wife 2 days (51 hours actually) ago with a message on it. Upon picking it up today I found that some of the writing had been left off and the writing that was one the cake was to large to accommodate the remaining words, so I couldn't have had them added even though the receipt taped to the box had the entire message on it. I had ordered this on-line, and after having my message censored for political correctness by the website I altered it in which the 49 character message was accepted for order. I felt either an employee or their corporate body has censored me again for MY purchase, or there is a lazy employee that did not want to spend the time or effort to have to carefully space the lettering in order to get the entire message on the cake. Publix guidelines allow for 50 characters so I've done everything right by THEIR rules but have a $40 plus cake that will be disappointing. They had my email address and contact phone number so some one should have contacted me in advance to allow me an opportunity to make changes or shop elsewhere. I guess this is why at 4:45pm on a Friday their store has few customers but Kroger and Walmart are packed. It is not rocket science to figure it out. I learned my lesson and hope you don't have to also! I did speak to customer service with no expectation of discount or refund but I feel my complaint will not be taken seriously because the gentleman didn't ask for any additional contact or order information, didn't write anything down and stated "nothing I can really do, it's the Bakery Department" I guess I should have taken the refund and cake!! Today someone took my groceries out to my car for me. I haven't had a grocery store employee push my cart (groceries) outside to the car in years. Literally years. I usually shop at Kroger, maybe that's why? Publix just seems like it's one notch above. I placed an order on 04/16 to be picked up 04/22. This was for my granddaughter's bridal shower. When my daughter arrived at 10:15am on 04/22 the order was not ready. They said they had missed it. It was placed a week earlier and they... MISSED it. What kind of management allows an online order placed a week in advance to be ignored? They hurriedly got the chicken ready and the fruit and croissants, promising to bring the Danish platter to the house by 12pm. The fruit platter was adequate, the croissant and bagel was also, except the 'cream cheese' on the side was CREAM CHEESE ICING, not cream cheese, not exactly what you want to smear on a bagel with ham or smoked salmon. But the true WTH moment was when I opened the chicken and it was COLD. Not, cool, not, 'cooled down' but COLD, hurt your hand if you hold it COLD. And it wasn't as if there was a note to heat it, it had three leaves of dead, shriveled lettuce, a few limp carrots and ICE chicken. When the ASSORTED - listed as ASSORTED pastries arrived at the house they were ALL a... grape? Or maybe prune or something jelly Danish and ALL over cooked, too brown. Was the word assortment just an... oopsey? I am so angry, so disappointed and so going to tell EVERYONE I know that Publix has the worst deli, bakery and management of ANY grocery. Came in to grab a sub tonight before closing time yet their employee refused to slice any deli meats in order to make our subs. Luckily the manager came over and offered to still make us the sandwiches. Publix Snellville has been my go to store for 26 years, I love the cashiers and most of the employees who bag groceries. But this store is now so poorly run, the management team is always in the office behind Customer Service, plan at least 25 -35 minutes if you need a sandwich made, no one EVER offers to help you out with groceries anymore, the cut chicken looks so horrible and even the chicken breast fillets look so unappetizing, I paid for these for years because it was so carefully cut and packaged, now the I could care less attitude is evident in just about every department in this store. There are still some exceptional employees who have been there for years, and I applaud Publix for supporting them. But your customers are fed up with no one being in the seafood department, rude baggers who push your cart to you and don't even speak, the ridiculous amount of time it takes to get a sandwich and the lack of care if you try to talk to the store managers. there are so many choices of stores shop, and this place is no longer a pleasure. read more

Staff has always been helpful every time I have gone there. It is always looks clean and the checkout seems fast, efficient, and painless. They get a four because they don't have the cereal and organic pop-tarts that I like. Although, they also say that they can special order stuff for you and have a section for these special orders right by their pharmacy that also has helpful staff. read more

Always love publix generally stores are clean staff is always freindly, stopped in this store a few times before always a pleasent experience. Tonight sstopped by their recipe station got this awesome siracha shrimp dish that they were sampling as part of their featured recipes tasted great even my daughter loved it so told my wife about it she got a sample as well , this is where it goes down hill she picks up a shrimp and flashes a disgusted look upon closer inspection I knew why ..... The shrimp had a long hair wrapped around it with about 3 to 4 inches hanging in the sauce on the plate. Normally understand a spot or spilled item in a store but hair in the food that you are providing prepare d to a customer is unacceptable and puts into question all the pre prepared items from the deli, bakery and sub shop. read more

Make sure you are not charged multiple times for the same item! Over the past couple of years, I have seen a decline in the professionalism, competency and friendliness of the staff at this Publix. Today, I noticed that the scanner kept ringing multiple times for the same item. The teller seemed agitated by my questioning of items he rang and so I waited patiently after the first multiple scan was corrected, he was done ringing me up, paid and sat down on a bench to check my slip. Sure enough, there were multiple scans of items. When I confronted the teller, he said he does not know why the scanner does that sometimes and he asked me to go to Customer Relations and take it up with them. I waited in line for the customer relations person who seemed like she did not believe a word I said. However, after scrutinizing the slip, speaking to the teller, she finally admitted the mistake and refunded me. Wasted about 20 minutes. The time I spent waiting for this to be sorted out was probably not worth the money, but I am just fed up with incompetent service from companies that should know better... read more

The SECOND time this Public Snellville bakery has failed me. First I ordered a Chantilly cake several days ahead, but was called only Two hrs prior to my pick up and told couldn't make it because no shipment of strawberries. The manager was sorry, but could only offer another flavor and no offer to find another store to help. Fortunately I called PUBLIX in Grayson myself and they came through. This time tried to order a cookie cake the day before, but told could not pickup until after 12:00 the next day....just a cookie cake. Really...the batter is pre-made. the cost was ridiculous anyway, $29.99 for a 16" cookie cake! Ridiculous. Thank you Kroger in Snellville for coming through. read more

I have never had a bad experience at Publix, until this past Friday!! We ordered sandwiches from the Deli and the person working there was awesome as usual. At checkout however, as my husband tried to scan his card, he pressed the wrong button and the associate was quite rude in how she corrected him. Twice she rudely and impatiently let him know that his card was not working, and when it did, as I said he did press the wrong button, she once again rudely, tried to correct him on how to do it. If in the beginning of the transaction, she was a little nicer about helping us, there would have been no problem at all and no need to write, but it really trouble us enough to send an email about it. She was a young lady and I believe her name tag said Uwanana I believe. I made a point to read the tag. But as I said we always have great experiences at Publix but this time I was quite bothered. read more
