Fresh Market charges more based on the perception that it will be healthier and fresher than a Publix or Kroger, but look at how many of their "made in store" products are basically seed oils and sugars. The made in store Publix bread has fewer preservatives and no seed oil. The perception seems more like a facade not backed by any real interest in being healthier. read more

Just like the name says FRESH is all you can expect from the Fresh Market. My favorite Supermarket next to Publix. We get all of our seafood, chicken, and turkey from here as well as some fruits and veggies. All of their meat and seafood is super fresh I even read their Sustainable Seafood Policy. You have to be as careful these days. The stuff people do to our food is insane. But thats another topic. The Fresh Market is small and intimate everything is organized and super clean like they have OCD, which I can appreciate because I'm the same way. The staff here is super friendly and always helpful. Shopping here for regular items I don't recommend the prices are higher then say at Publix or Kroger. The have a decent wine and craft beer selection you can definitely find something you haven't seen in other stores. The candy selection is awesome all natural and organic so you don't feel guilty when you're stuffing your face! I'm definitely loyal to fresh market and will keep coming her as long as I can afford it lol! FYI they don't have loyalty program but the do have weekly and daily specials that can save you some money. P.S. They take Apple pay! read more

Like going to fresh markets. Pros: Great selection of meats, deli items, desserts, breads and snacks. They carry brands that you don't see in other stores, which is cool. It is compact, so convenient. Never crowded so you can get in and out fast. Cons: Prices are high compared to other grocery stores. Service is on and off. Sometimes friendly other times not so much. I can't believe they changed their rotisserie chicken salad recipe! It was the one reason I could justify spending so much on the other items. The new chicken they now use is rubbery, there's too much mayonnaise, and they added more celery. I confirmed this with the deli. It was a company wide decision. This location is steps from my home. Very convenient location. I stopped in to purchase some of the fresh wild salmon that was on sale. I purchased some fresh wild king salmon and some fresh wild coho salmon. The fish was fresh with very nice natural color. I love a nice piece of salmon and enjoy the different flavor profiles of different types of salmon. The gentlemen in the seafood department was knowledgeable and professional. I like shopping at this location. Nice, small, intimate shopping experience. The selection of baked goods are always delectable. On this visit, I purchased a loaf of pumpkin nut bread. I like the concept and idea of Fresh Market, but I find it a bit higher priced for most things when compared to Whole Foods. I find myself rather going to Whole Foods than here. I do love the fresh made meals along with the bakery and deli selection which is the reason to come here. I do like they have table87 pizzas in the freezer and then the rest I really find way more expensive. It's nice if your in the area but you will find me going to Whole Foods instead. read more

I try to write long thought our reviews of my experiences, but this place is something else entirely. Let's just say this grocery store is affecting wether or not I want to leave the area. Wether it's for one of their Bistro Meal lunches , or wether I'm about to cook a really nice dinner for guest they have always had exactly what I needed, and sometimes stuff I didn't even know I needed. Employees are friendly and helpful. The bistro food is delicious (though they changed the recipe in their crab salad and it's not the great at the moment). They always have great little deals! I now go there for most things I need around the kitchen, and even stop by there for work lunch. It's an amazing place and I hope it doesn't go anywhere (I do hope it opens new locations!) read more

I make flower arrangements for homecoming, prom and weddings. I get a lot of my flowers from this Fresh Market. They are always very accommodating when I ask to look in the fridge to see all that they have. I often get asked where I get my flowers from by the people who see my photos or order arrangements. I always compliment Fresh Market as one of the places I get them and love to pick from there. I always know the flowers they have out are fresh and not going to wilt quickly. Let me start by saying that I'm not the type of person that shops here every day. I do however have certain specialty favorites that I love to get and when I do... I inevitably can't help myself from adding their other delicious items to my cart. As a reference point... this specific specialty item is a brand of pretzels called "Unique Spilts" and I get the Extra Salt, but I'm a moron. They are INSANELY delicious though! Back to why I go to Fresh Market. Yes... I could order these pretzels on-line, but I really this store and being in there. Again this is not a cheap store. It's not a Publix. That is not their niche. They are small and have a customized feel as soon as you walk in. Sort of like Trader Joe's used to be, but with more of a "village" feel to it. Their fruit is amazing. Not once have I ever had anything even remotely off. I love their bakery section and specifically their pistachio muffins!!! Those always end up in my cart along with Zucchini bread and whatever other fresh baked bread happens to look best at the moment I'm there. They have a great deli counter, with a huge section of pre-prepared items. The Cuban sandwich is always a favorite. We have bought some of the greatest steak we've ever grilled from their butcher counter. Both that area and their seafood is very impressive, with personalized service. What I mean by that is, clean small town feel where they have what you're looking for and remember who you are from last time you were there. A great market experience that I highly recommend. Check them out. Even if you don't buy anything... just go and buy a bottle of their iced tea or something to see how this market compares to a Publix or a Kroger. It's a big difference. As I said, this is not my everyday and everything grocery store. It's several levels up from that, but I enjoy myself every time I'm there. I can't say that about other grocery stores! GROCERY SHOPPING DOES NOT HAVE TO FEEL LIKE A CHORE! This store is definitely a cut above and is unlike any store I have visited since moving to the state more than a decade ago. Everywhere you look, you will find fresh, creative or unique items that are not available in every grocery store or market. The staff is not only present but very engaging and more than willing to point you to special items within the store or assist with decision making. Often when I am shopping, I am about business and I just need the "business" store that allows me to get in and out. I rarely experience the "feel good" store that engages all of your senses so that you forget about a schedule and just go with the moment. Today, I just went with the moment and it was great. Some people would absolutely fall in love with the bakery display but for me, it was all about those spectacular meat and seafood departments, (and I am not really that interested in meat). Eveythingr looked very fresh and there was just about every cut that you could imagine. I loved the lamb chops and the rack of lamb, made my mouth water! If you want to make a really nice meal for your spouse or significant other, this is a great place for inspiration. Today we purchased crab cakes, the delicious Christmas blend coffee and my favorite fresh ground peanut butter. I absolutely look forward to returning for more shopping and exploring. The one thing that I would change about this store is its location. It needs to be in Alpharetta! No problem, this is one trip I am more than willing to make! read more

This is a phenomenal store. My wallet is in danger when I go into most Fresh Markets, but this one is even more ridiculous. It's hard to pinpoint exactly what's different here from other locations, but they seem to have one of the best selections I've seen. The store is very well laid-out. It's never busy and parking is a breeze. The staff have always been friendly and helpful - though - I've found that at almost every location. If I had to point to a drawback, sometimes it can be just a little slow checking out. The highlight for me is the sushi! As any sushi lover knows, finding good sushi in a grocery store can be like looking for the proverbial needle in cliched haystack. My girlfriend first told me about the sushi here and now I'm a believer too. It's the best store sushi I've had. If you don't know about sushi at The Fresh Market, I believe they make the sushi fresh on-site every day. Every location I've been to has a sushi chef on staff. They'll even make up a roll for you right then and there if they are able to. What's different at this location is the ability and judgement of the sushi chef. The "chef's choice" roll generally has some fabulous cuts of the best fish: tuna, salmon, snapper, etc. the fish is the star, but the accoutrements round out the complex taste. I was impressed the first time and I still am every time I go back. Sushi isn't the only thing I love to get at the Fresh Market. The other foods they prepare on-site are pretty great too. Just make sure they're fresh. Obviously, this varies to taste, but it's still better than any fast food. Beware if you're on a diet. The store is a minefield of calorie-rich goodies. The ingredients may be pure, but you'll be living my 600 lb. life if you're not careful. Still, it's a great market. It's a joy to shop there. Caveat: Expect Fresh Market prices. read more

We absolutely love this place. Me and the wife usually find an excuse to drive ourselves to this one in particular. Why you must say? Well, simple. Its just that good. Usually more often during summer time since they sell some pre-made burger patties, some with cheese and bacon, some with vegetables. so we got a couple, and hover our way to the salad bar. They usually carry quite a bit of delicious salads, from your typical potato salad, to orso and kale salad, which was delicious by the way. Wife tells me the sushi is amazing as well. So... Clean store. It's right by my townhouse and the only reason I go is the convenience. Too many, mostly female employees standing around or talking. Only one young man has recently offered to help with my items and I think he's new. So, that probably won't last too long. Meat or produce is usually good but would much rather have prices reasonable and nonsurly employees. I've had 2 back surgeries in 6 months and am lucky Publix is a short drive. Look at what I bought from them!! I am really upset about. I wanted to support our local busing so I went to the fresh market and purchased some ground beef for my baby. The beef looked great, high quality and the price is ok for 6.99/lb. But look at the picture! They packed more than half of old gross unfresh beef in the middle of the fresh stuff! This is not like rotten fruit or cracked eggs, it's 1000 times WORSE! They did this on purpose! This is fraud! Won't step into the store ever again.
