A great selection of cheese that is definitely priced lower than the other stores that we all know. I do believe the prices on many items are lower with the same good quality as other stores. This was our first time and I was impressed. Thought it was a good selection of basic foods and unique offerings. I liked the seasonal options as well. Service was friendly and they were working to keep things fresh. It was clean, and appears well maintained. We gained coupons after this first transaction and my husband had signed up as a guess a member and we save a little on this first trip too! My Aunt is considered a "super shopper" and is a known lover of good bargains, which was enough to recommend Lidels to us, with now our experience I am sold! It would only be better if they opened one closer to us. read more

Pretty impressed with Lidl. It's similar to Aldi, but bigger and with more options. They offer store brand versions of name brand products while also offering some name brand products. I've only been to one other Lidl prior to this, but this location seems to have a nice variety and is pretty consistent with the other Lidl I've been to in Charlotte. Lidl doesn't have everything a Kroger or Publix would, but it offers most of our staples and needs. They also have a great bakery with freshly baked pastries on the reg. The staff was friendly and helpful. Can't beat the prices! read more

They have a pretty good bakery and good prices. I would recommend looking very closely when buying fresh produce or just go somewhere else because I came in to buy a bag of kale that was still a week and a half out from expiration. I got home open it and the smell and the slimy texture of the kale meant it went bad, it might be due to their distributor but again be careful. The other downside is most of the time there is only 1 cashiers, so if you go during a busy time expect a line because theirs no self checkout either. Overall not bad. read more

What a disappointment. LIDL really does make you "rethink grocery" This store looks pretty as you drive by, I really expected more. I should of turned around when I saw the trash all over the entrance or when I looked for something to disinfect my cart. ((I did find the wipes on the floor). Because, I had received coupons in the mail, I decided to give it a try. The store looks big on the outside but it really is not. The isles were very crowded with customers not observing social distancing. The bakery resembles that of a neighborhood Walmart, except most bins were empty. What was available did not look fresh and there was no scent of freshly baked anything. There seemed to be a good variety of products, raging from Milk, veggies, cleaning products and wines. Honestly I couldn't get past how unorganized, unclean and crowded the store felt. I picked up two or three items and headed to the register. There was no wait, so I proceeded to place my items ate the end of the belt. The cashier then told me I had to bring it closer to her because the conveyor didn't move (ooookkkaayy) One of the items I picked up was marked on sale but rang up for the wrong price. When I asked the cashier, she gave me the dirtiest, annoying look and told me there was nothing she could do about it! Not wanting to bother her any longer, I removed my little happy self from her presence. I had such high hopes for this store; but I don't think I will be giving them any more of my business. Swung by to get a post-soccer soda and ended up with a shopping bag full of well priced groceries! A pretty darn good selection of potted meats and sardines and stuff. I was disappointed not to see anything smoked, at least at first glance. I'm a big fan of smoked sardines, herring, and other fish. Decent selection of stock and broth, although I'd like to see a low to no sodium veggie option. Awesome collection of sauces at very reasonable rates - hot sauces steak sauces and everything in between. With the moneyback guarantee I can't wait to try a few risk-free. Pretty much everything appears to have a love it or return it for 100% back guarantee. Lots of other comments with the pictures. I have all of my groceries home now and will definitely do a follow up on my favs! read more

Some great finds and has a local market feel. I'm particularly impressed with the bakery section there's not many places that you can find custard egg tarts in a local market. I categorize them as a local market simply because the selections are smaller and more limited. I've never been to a Lidl before but they do have a Trader Joe's feel to it. This review about the Lidl store in Suwanee, Georgia shares many of the attributes contained within my review of the Lidl market on 5270 Peachtree Parkway in Norcross, Georgia. The bakery section is strategically placed near the front door, and it is the first multi-sensory impression customers encounter as they enter. I was intrigued by several of the items in Lidl's bakery section but I was disappointed that some of the baked goods lacked ingredient labels. Several of the items I purchased at this Lidl store were standout winners. The first was Lidl's 100% tangerine juice. From the first sip, the fresh taste of tangerines is startling. The juice is the perfect "wake up" beverage at breakfast or as a superior mixer for cocktails. Lidl's fresh baked rosemary bread still doesn't have an ingredients label on the package but whatever is in it, Lidl's rosemary bread is absolutely divine. I had to rely upon all the willpower I could muster just to avoid eating the entire loaf at one sitting. Another high carb item (sorry) I'm a fan of is Lidl's croissants. Great product and reasonably priced. Lidl's frozen steak fries are also noteworthy. The taste is fantastic, they're low in fat, and there's no indigestion causing soybean oil. The fries are also value priced. I also appreciated the quality and value of Lidl's rBST free cheeses. Their Swiss variety is better than the versions found at Aldi or Kroger. Another hit is Lidl's Gouda Rings. Find them in the frozen food section near the Indian entrees. On the room for improvement side, there are far too many national brand items in the store that can easily be purchased elsewhere, quite likely, at a better price. Lidl should make a serious effort to replace as many of these national brand products with more unique items, including Lidl brand name foods and beverages. I was mildly intrigued by the display of Lidl's Czech Beer but on closer inspection, the beverage had exceeded its "Best By" date by a few months. I saw the same batch at another Lidl location back in May. Once again, I need to hold off until a fresher shipment arrives. I was dissatisfied with was the Lidl bakery's focaccia bread. The flavor was pleasant enough but below the top crust, the texture did not measure up to anything close to genuine focaccia bread. If it wasn't for the spices, I would have thought I had bitten into a breakfast pastry item. I would have returned the focaccia bread if not for the Lidl "no returns" policy. Instead, I wrote to Lidl corporate. In a couple of days I received a reply. There was no offer from Lidl customer service to provide a store credit or a refund. Considering the circumstances involving Lidl's harsh return policy, I concluded this example of customer care to be unacceptable. Where is the "Lidl Love it! Guarantee"? You know, the one that promises "money refunded" and "item replaced". If Lidl's promise been rescinded, Lidl should promptly remove its assurance emblem from all of its packaging. I gave Lidl customer service a second attempt to make good. Lidl sent me another email with a new case number in about 48 hours, with a request to provide further details. I sent a reply to Lidl the next day. That was a week ago. I am still waiting for a response. On my second trip to this Lidl location I bought some new products. The cheese rolls were on sale, four rolls for $2.00. There were no labels on the bag. This means, no listed ingredients, no weight, no bar code, and no price. The same applied to Lidl's Rosemary Oilive Oil Bread. When I got to the register, the cashier, relying only on memory or a cheat sheet, charged me the regular price for the cheese rolls. I instantly made the cashier aware of the correct price. Instead of simply voiding the wrong price and entering in the correct price, the cashier asked me if it was ok to get the price as close as he could. He claimed that summoning an employee to confirm the correct price could take too long. I was stunned. I have never experienced this type of complacency and apathy at any grocery store; at any time. Next trip to Lidl I am not taking any chances. I'm snapping pictures of the price markers that appear on the shelves. I am happy to report that I do not have to photograph the outdated Czech beer I spotted on the shelves a couple of weeks before. I did not see one bottle of the stuff in the store. I liked the cheese rolls but the white flour is very processed and there isn't much cheese flavor. I am ambivalent about purchasing them again. Lidl's frozen crinkle cut fries are decent for the money. They should consider offering a "no salt" variety. I also wanted to try a Lidl pizza. I settled on the self-risin, 4 cheese version. The crust had an unpleasant, yeasty aftertaste, the sauce was a bit sweet but complimentary with the adequately portioned (primarily mozzarella) cheeses. Those who are sensitive to heartburn producing, inferior soybean oil should be aware. This pizza has more than its share. read more

We LOVE LIDL! We've been several times and have never had a negative experience. Their store brand items are fantastic and better than regular brands a lot of times. My kids also love the tiny shopping carts. read more

Horrible customer service. Since Oct 20,2020 they don't have RST milk and no one knows when the milk will come. Spoke to store manager and requested for store phone number to verify the stock. He was blushing that even his sister has to call through 1-800 to speak to him. Don't he have cell number for his personal use? The customer service in 1-800 is offshore in Europe and they even don't know that a store in suwanee, ga exists. Last but not the least, check the egg aisle and you can see minimum of two broken eggs in the floor without cleaned up... free virus... FINALLY! Lidl has finally made its way to my neck of the woods! Yay! I first encountered this store while visiting Greenville South Carolina. It reminds me of Aldi (its German competitor), because of its layout and displays. It is definitely seems more spacious but did not seem to have more inventory (if that makes sense). You will mostly find private label products but don't allow this to deter you because you might find something that you really like. Open your mind and explore the possibilities! During that first trip, I discovered their delicious organic peanut butter and kettle corn. This trip, I discovered a delicious veggie and hummus pizza, good eggs, a nice variety of cheeses and those 20 oz bottles of purified drinking water with the sport top. BAM! In this current climate, those water bottles are just a safer bet and definitely easier to finesse when driving. WHAT'S DIFFERENT: Lidl carries bagged ice. Yes! They also have an in store bakery section that is very similar to a typical grocery store bakery where you can help yourself. All items are now boxed for your convenience and health. This was not the case when I visited the other location previously so I hope that this will be an on-going practice. You do not need to pay for a cart but on my visit the carts were inconveniently located, inside the store where you had to go through the exit to pick them up. I hope that this is just temporary while they continue to get things in order. They have a nice selection of organic items, minimally processed/uncured meats and special items like turkey tenderloin, lamb and ground turkey breast. I do think that this store has a much larger selection of household items if that's your thing. Your purchases are not put directly in a cart, they actually use a conveyer system. This means you will need to be ready to stand and bag quickly. IN GENERAL: I didn't get to really check out the produce section because I wasn't ready to purchase any yet. However, I did notice that they had kale and greens in a bag, which I don't like. In "my south" greens are sold by the bushel or bunch and quality trumps convenience. I will go back and peruse this department again to get a better idea of what they have available. You may bring your own bags or purchase one from the cashier. I am super loyal to you know who but this fact that this store opens up at 8am/7 days means everything to me. Yes, that is my ideal time to shop and I'm in! Was very excited to have the store open close to where I live. The bread products are by far my favorite with the baguettes being the best. Fruit and vegetables are OK but they don't carry a lot of what I could find at the grocery stores or Aldi. Staff are friendly. What I don't like is the look of the store outside. They do nothing about pulling weeds, tending to a tree that was run over a week after store opening a year ago and carts are all over the place. They could learn from Aldi about charging for carts that way they would be returned. read more

I love Lidl's low prices but I have to say that the maintenance of the store is lacking. There are three foot tall weeds in the lawn areas, weeds are growing up through cracks, there are some dead trees...it looks like something you would see in the inner city. This is a nice area and Lidl is not doing its part to keep it that way! The whole complex is looking seedy. read more
