This is a great Kroger that I sometimes frequent as it is right in the middle of Duluth & Suwanee. Located right on Sugarloaf Parkway, it's in a great location. Though it's not my "home" Kroger, I do sometimes visit this location on the way home if I'm on Sugarloaf. They have a gas station as well as a Starbucks, so it's the full Kroger experience and it's not as packed as the Kroger on Steve Reynolds so you'll definitely not be packed with a lot of people. It's your typical Kroger -- it has everything you need and it's well stocked. My most recent visit was to pump gas and get some coffee and I was able to be in & out in a snap!

Don't laugh but I love Kroger more than any other store in the world. when I was a kid they had us choose our fav store and map it out for math class and I memorized all of Kroger back then. Then they started moving things every 6 months so that people like me wouldn't get to comfortable and buy things we don't need. Love that they employ local kids. Always fun to strike up convos with kids I've seen growing up. It's a newly decorated Kroger and pretty clean and shiny. Love their cheese section and when things go to woohoo sales bc I get to try some cheeses I otherwise wouldn't get to try. Their local brand Greek yogurt has funky flavors so it didn't sell well but man oh man that meant 47 yogurts in the fridge for Sandy. I decided the cucumber blueberry was kinda gross but I liked their kiwi Zucchini one what an awesome though yucky green looking jam thing! If you're looking for managers special this one is usually Tuesday evenings for this location ;) but they sometimes surprise me on a Thursday. They accept coupons and do that double savings thjng esp if you see that yellow on sale sticker. Nothing feels more comforting than a Kroger yellow right price sticker. They are pretty lenient on returns too. Some of these people have been working here for years! Like Rhonda and Elaine at the return counter. Also love the holiday or in season section. I think outta all the stores, Kroger has the best post holiday 50% sale on stuffed animals. Walgreens and stuff have their animals too creepy looking. Also love krogers dessert section. Everything here is cheaper than PUBLIX unless PUBLIX is doing a BOGO. Angel food cake and the peach pie is a must. Oh and Kroger croissants are pretty good too. Rotisserie chicken is also good too if you ever get it.

The only thing I came in for and they're out. Weak.

The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting today. The store is usually well stocked though and great customer service.

Review for H Mart H…read moreMart is one of my favorite Korean grocery stores--ever. I remember when they first opened locations in the Bay Area in places like San Francisco and San Jose, and I would gladly make the trek just to shop there. I've never been disappointed. The stores are always clean, organized, and full of incredible food options. What really makes H Mart special, though, is that it's more than just a grocery store--it's an experience. Inside this massive market, you'll find a bakery, authentic Korean food stalls, and restaurant-quality meals being made fresh. It's honestly amazing to walk into a grocery store and have access to food that tastes like it came straight from a restaurant kitchen. Because I travel frequently for work across the Southeast--covering a pretty large region--I'm always on the lookout for an H Mart whenever I'm near one. I've been lucky to have access to locations like Cary, North Carolina, and the one in Buford outside Atlanta, which serves a large and vibrant Asian community. Whenever I'm within a reasonable driving distance--usually within about 10 miles--I make a point to stop in and enjoy a delicious, authentic Korean meal that's made to order and very reasonably priced. I've brought friends and colleagues with me, and they've all been blown away by the food stalls. My personal go-to: * LA galbi (Korean short ribs)--if it's on the menu, I'm ordering it * All the little banchan side dishes--I absolutely love them * Fresh seafood options, including live crab and fish that can be cleaned and prepared for you * A stop at the bakery for dessert--think croissant donuts, almond pastries, or a beautiful layered crepe cake Some locations--even the ones I visited years ago on the West Coast--would steam or fry seafood for you right there, which makes dinner incredibly convenient. Another thing I appreciate is the cleanliness. This store truly rivals places like Whole Foods in terms of organization and quality, even while handling live seafood. The parking lots are typically spacious, well-maintained, and easy to navigate. I also love browsing the aisles for specialty ingredients you can't find everywhere. For example, they carry my favorite laksa noodles, which remind me of a Malaysian dish I fell in love with while visiting a friend in Mauritius. It's always fun to discover unique items like that. The staff--both in the grocery store and at the food stalls--are friendly and helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. Bottom line: If you're anywhere near Cary, North Carolina--or even the Buford, Georgia area--do yourself a favor and make a beeline to H Mart. As a lifelong foodie, I truly believe: Life is too short not to eat well.

As much as I love the vast selection of foods at the supermarket, there's been a number of things…read morethat have been turning me away in the past several years. Not at any other H-Marts, but at this Duluth location, things have just gone awry in the past few years. For one, they allow religious harassment at their door. I really don't appreciate being flagged down and chased by Bible "advocates" outside their door. I find that really intrusive, and bordering harassment. One time, this bawdy Korean lady chased me toward my car with this religious pamphlet...when I clearly told her "NO"...not interested. I mean, what more can I do or say without being chased like that??? So rude! I can't believe H-Mart is letting these folks harass their customers like this. Not all the people that shop at this mart is a Catholic, or Christian, or religious at all. Even if they are, they STILL may not wish to be harassed like this. For some folks, religion (or spirituality) is a personal thing. Religious harassment is so offputting...and inappropriate? I mean, this is a supermarket!!! It's just beyond the pale. This right here made me drop 2 stars off the bat! Then their weird food court hours. I mean, most food courts are up and running from 11 am on...but here, they start opening past 12 pm. I think on the day I was there, they were opening the food court closer to 12:30! That's just not acceptable. Lastly, I find their layout extremely awkward and uncomfortable to manuever around.

Overall We loved our…read moreexperience at Mega Mart. It's huge, clean, well organized, and feels like a fun mini cultural experience, not just a grocery run. We'd absolutely come back. Store Size and Selection This place is very, very big with a strong selection of Korean groceries and everyday staples. What surprised me most was how much more there is beyond food - tons of interesting cookware, cooking tools, and fun items to browse. Produce and Freshness The fresh produce was top quality and noticeably fresh. You can tell this store serves a community that expects high standards, and the quality shows. Prices and Deals There were a lot of sales and discounts throughout the store. Great value overall, especially considering the freshness and variety. Samples and Experience The sampling situation is next level - way more sample corners than you'd ever expect Costco to provide. Sample sizes are smaller than Costco, but it's still totally worth it because you get to try a wide variety of Korean flavors. It felt like tasting little snippets of Korean culture as you shop. Service, Cleanliness, and Atmosphere Everyone we interacted with was so kind and helpful, and the service was amazing. The store was also very clean. Bonus: the music was clearly catered to millennials (late 20s to 40s), and it genuinely brought back childhood and teenage nostalgia. Inside Businesses (Restaurants, Salons, Etc.) We also enjoyed that there are restaurants and salons inside. Everything looked nice, and pricing seemed pretty reasonable. Why it stands out in Duluth Duluth has a strong Korean community, and Mega Mart really reflects that in the quality, freshness, and overall experience. Would we return? Yes - 100%. If you want great produce, strong deals, lots of Korean variety, and a fun shopping experience, this is a must visit.

Overall This market…read morewasn't what we expected based on the name. "Namdaemun" immediately made us think of the famous open market area in Korea and we assumed the store would be Korean focused. In reality, the selection and overall vibe leaned overwhelmingly Hispanic and Latin American, with very few Korean items. Name vs Reality The name feels misleading. We came in expecting a Korean grocery market concept, but most of the products (including the bakery) were predominantly Hispanic. The shopper base also didn't feel very Korean, so it didn't come across as a Korean market experience. Selection If you are looking for Hispanic, Latin American, South American, or Central American groceries and produce, this place may actually be a solid option. It just doesn't match what the "Namdaemun" name implies. Atmosphere and Cleanliness The atmosphere felt more like a discount store than a bright, modern market. The store felt more cramped and less clean, open, and bright compared to places like H Mart or Mega Mart. Visually, it also leaned more flashy and cluttered rather than clean and curated. Who I would recommend it for I'd recommend this market for shoppers specifically seeking Hispanic or Latin American grocery items and produce. If you're coming in expecting a Korean market experience because of the name, you may be disappointed like we were. Would we return? Probably not for what we were originally looking for, but I can see it being useful for people shopping for Latin American ingredients and products.

A trip around the world and a walk down memory lane…read more It's been decades since I stepped foot inside the Buford Highway Farmers Market, and being back felt like a beautiful reunion. The last time I walked these aisles, I was with my mama, Donna Theresa. So much has changed since then, yet the soul of this place remains as vibrant as ever. It feels more expansive than I remember. A true global treasure tucked right here in the city. I'm still obsessed with how they organize the aisles by country. In just one afternoon, I traveled from Korea to Eastern Europe to Central America, no passport required! I was officially "team sample" the moment they offered! Unlike the heavy, sugary profile of traditional American cakes, these were a masterclass in balance. I tried the Neapolitan, a stunning phyllo-layered creation that was light, buttery, and perfectly textured. But the Lemon Cream Cake? It stole the entire show. It looked picture-perfect on the shelf, and the taste was even better. It was so bright, airy, and just the right amount of decadence. Coming back here wasn't just a grocery trip; it was a win for my palate and my heart. Now that I'm back in the area, you can bet this is becoming a regular stop on my rotation.
