I can't even cook, but I am really excited that they're renovating this Kroger store. Renovated Krogers are SO nice! It will probably be completed in a few more months. My boyfriend and I distinguish this Kroger from other ones in the area by calling it "snooty Kroger." This is partially due to the proximity of the country club, and partially due to their extensive wine selection (which, in turn, is probably due to the proximity of the country club). They used to even have a separate wine room, but I'm not sure that will be returning once renovations are complete. The aisles in this store used to be very odd: they ran parallel to the store front, so you couldn't just run in to the one aisle you needed something from and be done. If the aisle you needed was in the back: well, sucked to be you. They have changed this with the renovations, and quite frankly the store's organization makes a lot more sense now. What with the renovations, it is quite cramped at the moment; navigating the aisles can be difficult if only because they're rather slim. Once the last of the renovations in the bakery & meats side of the store is finished, this might be eased a bit. This Kroger also has a Kroger gas station (which is not as big of a deal now that you can get your monthly savings at Shell stations too). I'm excited to see the finished product. read more

This is just about the gas station. They have got to fix it so that cars can only come in from one direction. Right now cars can come in from either direction and it's creating a disaster. It's impossible to figure out where to line up because cars are pointing in different directions in adjacent Lanes. I'm going to avoid this gas station until they get this figured out because it's a waste of time and a lot of aggravation. read more

I have to say that two of my favorite employees at Kroger happen to work at the same place. I am always greeted with a smile from Ceiola and Ayla. They smile when they see me and that says a lot. For the true color of their hearts the mouth speaks. Lets not forget Hamza who makes it a pleasure to get gas on a hot afternoon. You are all awesome people and I am proud to know you. read more

Probably one of the nicer Kroger stores i've had the pleasure of visiting. Very large store that manages to stay almost spotless in its cleanliness. I also love that there's a salad bar, soup bar, Starbucks and a really nice deli inside. Kudos to copying the likes of Whole Foods, Publix, etc. Customer service is fantastic, as a helper got me out of a not very long line, to a wide open line, and stopped someone who was trying to slip into it the lane she was dragging me to. Awesome! Great location, right across from the Gwinnett Arena, and several stores anchored to the Kroger that I enjoy, including the Yogli Mogli. read more

I love the soup at this location. The cheddar and broccoli and chicken noodle soup are really good. My neighborhood Kroger doesn't carry it or the salad bar. The items are fresh and reasonably priced. If u go early morning they hav reduced priced left over deli items. One of the better Krogers in the area and also has click ordering, which my local Kroger doesn't have either service isn't too bad either read more

The WORST pharmacy ever!!!!! The staff is unfriendly and the wait is ridiculous! I was 12th in line and spent 2 hours and 45 minutes total today trying to get 3 prescriptions filled. THREE trips one waiting in line to fill the scripts and two more visits trying to get them! I had them check availability to ensure the meds were in stock and guess what they were not all available as I was told. NO ONE answers the phone EVER! So you have to come in and yet again wait in line for any issues or assistance! My time is valuable and to waist it for the lack of a knowledgeable and concerning staff should not be tolerated! It is unbelievable that the store managers do not address the concerns or apparent issues with the service at the pharmacy when there are over 16+ or more people standing in line for there medicine in the front of the store. You can't miss the line of people waiting and you can't miss the irritation on there faces. As of today I will NOT take my pharmacy business or purchase groceries at this location. I will be going to PUBLIX. I have shopped at this Kroger since it opened!!!!! The deterioration of the staff and service is a true disappointment it is unconscionable! You just lost a LOYAL customer that has supported this store for over a decade. I am sure there are many more your losing daily this would NOT be a surprise. read more

This particular Kroger is right on my way home when I take Satellite Blvd. north, so it's a great location for me to stop & grab the few items on my list needed to make dinner. I'm beginning to think that the great location is all that's keeping me a Kroger customer, as my shopping experiences have really gone downhill in the last few months. I'm finding this Kroger's produce department sadly understocked & simple, every day items (such as red onion, potatoes, yellow corn on the cob & cilantro) out of stock. All at one time. I recently stopped in with a six item list. Three of the items on my list were unavailable. I spoke to a nice young man working in the produce department, in hopes that I was just passing over these items, or they were in stock, but in the back, No such luck. He was friendly and apologetic. But niceness just doesn't cut it for me when I'm in need of a few, simple, key items and anxious to get home after a long day. I've also noticed empty shelves in this Kroger's floral department, a lack of employee assistance and a crowded, slightly unkempt feeling when I shopped here most recently. A real, overall disappointment. Bottom line - stop here for a quick fuel fill up, as Kroger gas prices are usually very competitive and the location is great, but if your deadest on a list of ingredients, cross your fingers & go in with a bit of extra patience. Something I'm surely out of when thinking about this Kroger. Next time, I'll drive a mile out of my way & stop at the fully stocked, clean and comfortable Publix... read more

My worst shopping experience ever occurred on 8/12/21 at 6555 Sugarloaf Pkwy Duluth, GA 30097 with the most unprofessional Kroger employee. She stated that her name was Khrishonna and that she was a manager. It is hard to believe that she is a manager when her skill set is below zero...she is not qualified. She literally transformed into an outlaw after I asked if she would assist the customer service desk agent after extended wait time for approximately 10 minutes. A line was forming; however, she could care less. She immediately became defensive and stated that I would have to wait because the agent was assisting another customer. Duh, that was my purpose for asking if she would assist because the customer service agent was with a customer for approximately 10 minutes. I explained to her in the past whenever there were extended wait times, a manager would assist or request that another agent assist. At that point, she stated "THERE HAS NEVER BEEN TWO AGENTS AT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DESK". Imagine that!! Yes, she literally said that. Then she became very argumentative when I advised her that she was incorrect. I asked her for her name and she proudly said her name with mad attitude. I informed her that I would speak to the corporate office concerning the incident and she stated that she did not care. I stated "this is your job, you should care and will care once I contact the corporate office. She continued to go back and forth with me as if she was not on the clock. Clearly, she did not represent Kroger in a positive light, does not demonstrate professionalism and is not customer friendly. The culture at Kroger has always been pleasant, however, her behavior does not align with the value of excellence. read more

Today Sugarloaf Kroger gets one star. A year ago, would have been five. I have been shopping at this Kroger since the day it opened. We knew everyone who worked there. I've noticed changes in the past few months - items not stocked, always out or items no longer carried but today the cucumbers literally put me over the edge. There has been a change in store manager. When Mr. Coutu was the SM, he was ALWAYS on the floor. You could always locate him somewhere, just to say hello. I have not seen or even know who the new SM is. I never knew cucumbers would be what prompted me to write a review. And quite frankly, no one really cared. read more

I honestly was blown away at how hard the pharmacy worked to get my prescription filled since it had recently been discontinued. The pharmacist then called my insurance company to authorize early payment. I am walking away very pleased and will definitely skip mail order (for most of my prescriptions) and come to this kroger. All other Krogers in the area should come here to see how a grocery store should look. I cannot put enough praises on their olive bar. I enjoy coming to work just to get a chance to stop by this Kroger on the way home. The only negative I could say is that sometimes some items are hard to find. Last night I purchase a wrap from their deli and found the longest strand of hair in my turkey. I went back to the store and reported to their "in store chef" and his response was "don't eat it" horrible customer service from him as a food service professional. The point was I didn't want him to compensate in anything just acknowledging that their was a safety and sanitation error within the flow of foods in your deli would've been okay with me. This chef was arrogant and sarcastic working at "Kroger" in their deli. What a complete a**hole. I did report it to the store manger and she was very nice in understanding the situation and pulled the chef immediately into her office. This chef needs proper customer service training and food service training on the HAACP system and understand that this is a problem and needs to take it more seriously. read more

I am writin this for my mom. She went to this kroger today and got a 20 oz pepsi max by the cash register. The exp date was sept 29, 2014. And she thought it tastes funny before she looked at the date. She drank 3 sips before lookin at the date. Def taking it back. I hope she doesnt get sick. I cant believe they wouldnt throw away or check for old exp dates. read more

This is a very nice Kroger! I've never been here before. Stopped in to get something for work and was pleasantly surprised. Fresh Sushi Bar and a Starbuck's! I'm not a fan of Kroger. A strange experience at this gas station. I have been a regular and had no problem punching in alternate id number to get 3 cent/gallon discount. However, today I couldn't enter the alternate id on two different pumps. The second pump had no problem asking for zip code for credit card validation. I was able to enter the zip code successfully. Although it was for a small amount (33 cents), I didn't understand why the pumps weren't allowing me to enter the alternate id completely. When I informed the attendant, she told me to call their 800 number.... So, I went inside the store and to the service desk. She also couldn't explain why this was happening. She did gave me 33 cents. I just wonder how many people forget about this transaction. Or, is this a deliberate.... I just hope it isn't. read more

They have an awesome selection of specialty cheeses and sushi etc. You almost thought you were in a really fancy grocery store in here, compared to some other krogers around here....yall know about these georgia krogers typically. So I realize this is not an ideal situation. I took a chance and bought an instant pot on sale at Kroger even tho Amazon is so much more convenient. It didn't work out for me and I tried returning but because I had misplaced my receipt they wouldn't let me. It's been six months and the thing has been packed up in my garage -I finally find the receipt in another handbag. I come back and they don't even consider store credit for this thing. I literally lost money on it because I threw out two dinners that were ruined. I realize this is not an ideal situation but had I bought it at Amazon they would have had proof of purchase and I wouldn't be in this mess. That's who their competitors are and that's the consumer world we live in, so this was unacceptable--if it weren't, I wouldn't have spent the money trying something that might not work out. In addition, the manager suggested calling the company for a refund which is absurd because the company is only offering help with recipes and he should have known that hw was giving me Bs info, so that's insulting. read more

Long overdue to say I absolutely love this Kroger at Sugarloaf!!! Always clean, stocked with great fresh choices. Manager's, supervisor's, meat/ seafood, deli, produce, pharmacy, the new Murray's Specialty Cheese Shop, ALL are willing to go above and beyond their call of duty to make sure everyone has the best grocery experience. This gigantic gocery store is always busy, I guess that's why the bathrooms are messy, come on fellow customers, is this how you treat your bathroom at home? Really? this kroger has a lot of soccer moms driving oversized suvs. i say they are a huge hazardous add on to the confused kroger employees who can't get anything done properly. watch out for large gmc denalis that can't tell the difference between black paved roads and cross walks. you will be lucky to make it out safely with your feet and limbs still intact on you. i would go to your neighborhood sprouts or trader joe to do your weekly grocery shopping. read more
