The pharmacy folks are never very attentive and make you feel like its its a privelage to be served!

Who doesn't love Publix? It's bright clean and the employees (the majority) that I've had interactions with have been top tier. The Publix app is quite helpful. After using it you start seeing items you buy frequently in the weekly ad. Sometimes you will even get a coupon for a free item on a item that is frequently purchased. No matter what store you visit once you open the app it recognizes the store location and allows you to shop from that store. The few times I have needed help the employees were more than helpful. I really like Icelandic Provisions and once I came to this location and asked if they carried it. Though they didn't the manager offered to order it for me. Customer service at this store good. If you are in the area I would say drop in. read more

Never would I thought that I would ever see the day that I would be waiting in a Publix line on a random weekday, after lunch with employees walking around me..... But there I was, in line with $70 worth of grocery and about 6 employees walking around as if we did not have anywhere to be and this was not the first time, every since they installed the self check-outs we are expected to use them even with a buggy full of food. I dont feel comfortable using them. Publix has fallen victim to the hype and I hate it. I avoid going to Walmart for this exact reason (a million employees walking around and not checking out). Publix prices are higher also.... I might as well go to Wally world now! read more

Personally, this is one of my favourite locations of all the Publix's that I have visited. This location is huge and the staff here during all my visits have always been pleasant. Granted, Publix is more expensive than most grocery stores, but as a consumer we are paying for the appearance/staff and total quality of the store. They usually always have BOGO free deals, which is always nice. Publix has a great quality bakery, we just got my oldest son's birthday cake here. The bread here is excellent here as well, if you like bagels, they make them fresh and you can buy them individually if wanting to do so. They have a nice selection of organic products here too. I love the Organic Green Wise brand, their oatmeal is something we have been buying for the past 5 years. The produce here is very fresh as well, something that I do not see at all Publix's or Krogers. The majority of their vegs/fruits here that are organic are fairly reasonable in price. This Publix location is twice the size as some of their stores. During my last visit here yesterday, while it was snowing. I asked a gentleman where I could find the German sauerkraut. He asked me if I wanted it refrigerated or non (I wanted it room temp in the glass jar in comes in) and he walked me to it. Now, even though he was busy stocking things, he could have pointed or said the isle number... he didn't and took me to it. That is good service. I'd highly recommend this Publix. I was just told by Jorge the customer service rep that he was going to call the police on me n my 12 yr old son because my son was sratching off my lottery tickets where it was still residue so he didn't have to he said he was calling 911 on me and my son he was nasty and rude for no reason .. he started threading my son directly .. my son does not play lottery nor are we criminals but this customer service rep JORGE was the worse person I have ever encountered .. I am still sitting on the parking lot very shaken and upset also hurt that I had to endure this and my son as well .., I am a business owner and a shopper / consumer and this is unexceptable . My child is a great child and sensitive We both deserve an apology and he should not be allowed to deal with customers ...I plan on following up with the GM.. read more

This is for the pharmacy. I registered on line for my flu shot. I inputed my current data & the info on my received papers did not reflect the info that I inputed. It showed my old address of four years ago. There was no reference to my primary care physician. Also, there is reference that my vaccine was for older aged people. When asked I was told that it is automatic based on the age of the person but no records reflect such. Just appears to be poor medical administration. Finally, when I registered on line for the appointment, I was told that I would receive a $5 gift card. There was never no mention of it. I am a disappointed customer. The pharmacy is not the quality of the rest of the grocery store. I otherwise love to shop at this store. read more

We ordered food from both the bakery and deli for our baby shower this last Saturday. When I got to the deli we picked up the 2 wing platters 2 veggie plates, 1 fruit platter and large chicken tender box. The instructions were to have sauce on the side, my fault for not checking immediately but went to the bakery only to find out our cupcakes were given to another patron before my arrival and management came over to assist me. Although he was helpful and gave me a discount on the replacement cupcakes I was still 20 minutes behind schedule due to there incompetence. Once I arrived at the shower and started bringing everything out is when I realized the chicken had sauces on them and weren't as big of a hit and ended up throwing a lot of it away. In the end I'll be going to Krover next time. read more

I downloaded this app in the parking lot so I could post about this right away, your employee, khale?(I could be messing that name up, Gentleman with long curly hair was AMAZING. He showed customer service that I thought no longer existed. He passed by me and noticed I was struggling holding all the product haha (I originally came in for one item) and he went all the way across the store to get me a buggy. The staff in the deli ( Publix at the intersection of Sugarloaf and Five Forks in Lawrenceville) were not as attentive as they should have been. There was an incident in one of your stores today where this lady said that she was not acknowledged in the deli department, that she was there before some people who was taken care of and acknowledged and she was completely ignored. She asked for the manager of whom was working in the deli as well. I thought the manager could've done more to satisfy the customer. To make a long story short... the matter was not addressed in an appropriate manner and the lady left upset, she said that she did not want to shop at all in store because she was so disappointed in regards to the lack of service she received. I've been addressed in the same manner in the same store before so I know how the lady felt. Publix most definitely is not the same as it use to be. I will shop there less often now because of the way the staff treat their customers. read more

Over the past dozen years, I have been in this store two or three times a week. I have noticed the service getting worse and worse over the past few years. More than once, I have just walked away from the deli counter because I couldn't get service. No other customers were in front of me, they just wouldn't come to the counter. On my last visit, when I went to check out, two different baggers were standing nearby and walked away. The cashier had to bag the groceries. I have had to bring to their attention that items have been missing from the shelves for several weeks. Fortunately, I have other stores that aren't too far away. read more

I love my local Publix. I've been having an affair with it since it opened some 7 years ago. You just develop a relationship with your local grocery store that's hard to replace. My wife and I judge other grocery stores off of this one ... down the road on Bethesda Church was "the backwards Publix" (same layout as this one, just reversed), the one up the road on Sugarloaf is "the crowded Publix", etc. Truth to tell, I'm just glad this place is still open. Part of its appeal to me is that it's never EVER crowded. It's bigger than other Publixis ... Publixes ... Publixi ... I've been to and the large two story ceilings add to the feeling of space. It's always clean -- and other than one exception -- I've always been happy with the service their staff provides. (that exception happens to be one asshole of a guy who glares at everyone and won't lift a finger to assist a customer -- I'm mollified by the fact that he's still working at a grocery store seven years after he first offended me) Damn. I've been shopping at this store since they opened. I spend a lot of money here and was really disappointed at my most recent experience. I have never left a review for a grocery store, however this one is warranted. I ordered a cake for my nephew's 30th birthday and had to order over the phone as I was out of town. I clearly told the bakery what I wanted Happy Dirty 30 Birthday Jamel and specified that I wanted 30 in numbers and in a different color to stand out. I had my sister pick up the cake and the first thing my 9 year old nephew says is that the cake was misspelled. I was so annoyed. I looked at the order form and couldn't believe the bakery manager didn't even question the spelling especially since it was scratched out on the paper. The cookie cake was good, but I made sure to inform the store manager that night and what a waste. The regular manager that I'm used to wasn't there and the night manager basically thought it was funny. She didn't even offer to remake the cake or a discount on my next bakery order. She just said I'll talk to the bakery manager, however some people actually want it spelled the way they say it. I made it clear that she and I both know that is not how it's pronounced even if her employee thought so. Anyhow, I'm getting upset just thinking about her ignorant comment. Not my favorite Publix, compared to my two by home (The Peach and Peachtree Battle), but still solid. Weird layout for a Publix as it's not like the other ones I'm used to (dairy and wine are on the flip side of what I'm used to for example) so I wandered around a little aimlessly trying to find things for the first few minutes! Produce seemed good and the meat selection might even be more extensive that at my usual stores. Disappointing selection of local fliers, newspapers, etc, which is one of the reasons I stopped in, to do recon for local businesses who might advertise with us at the LAF down the street. Rental magazine and Over 55 brochures weren't much help for me! But if you're looking for an apartment, you'll find plenty of info in the racks here! read more

I went to Publix at Sugarloaf and Five Forks a couple of days ago. There were two cheerful young people spraying and wiping the carts before you took one. The cashiers wore masks and the stockers did too. They had arrows on the floor for one-way shopping. The shoppers wore masks and followed the rules. Everyone was pleasant and seemed at ease while distancing. Publix made us feel safe and comfortable! read more

PHARMACY- I worked here for 18+ years. I left in late 2017 because of cancer. I moved my prescriptions to the Loganville Hwy Loganville store because it was closer to my home. The Male pharmacist as well as a couple of his technicians treated me like an addict and embarrassed me and shamed me on several occasions so I wrote a letter to the company I had been loyal to as a customer and an employee for nearly 2 decades. After receiving no response i took my business elsewhere. Fast forward to now, i am back to getting my presentations at Publix 0859, my old store. The ONLY reason is the pharmacist Chris. He is polite and calm. I just want to thank Chris for taking great care of me and being so compassionate and kind. Because of you and your staff, I am happy to make the drive. Probably one of my favorite Publix locations in the Lawrenceville area for one reason: True lemon! For whatever reason, no other stores sell them and I just have to have lemon flavoring in my tea! Product placement aside, although it's a little out of the way for me, i'm always happy to go in when i'm in the area. While Publix doesn't seem to have the stocking issues like Kroger does, this specific Publix always has items i'm looking for. Same super customer service, cleanliness and BOGOs that most Publix groceries are known for, although this Publix doesn't seem to follow the same store set up as other locations i've seen, especially over near the pharmacy area, but it only burns an extra minute or two to find what i'm after. There's several exits on the Sugarloaf parkway side (but only one red light where you can turn left onto Sugarloaf), and there's a couple of exits towards Five Forks Trickum, but either way, it's not very hard to get in and out of this lot. read more

I've yet to have a bad experience at this local Publix. Everyone is extremely helpful when it comes to finding stuff. I love their green wise meat, although it is a bit more expensive but well worth the peace of mind. I needed a pair of socks and guess what? Publix isn't better than Walmart (as it claims), it's worse. I complained about improper handling of products to three meat department workers. I complained to a produce manager about my favorite packaged romaine spoiling in the display. I've asked a manager 3x for a product, who promised me it would be stocked. What do I get? NOTHING. I complained about these issues on Publix's FB page. What do I get? Lip service from corporate and empty promises from the store manager. I still don't see my basic product request being fulfilled (I've been checking daily for over 2 weeks for the Tombstone Thin Crust Pepperoni Pizza) and the product I complained about (Publix brand frozen chicken tenderloins) is still showing up freezer burnt in your displays. C'mon, Publix! Being a grocery store shouldn't be THIS DIFFICULT. Moreover, being a customer shouldn't be THIS HARD. You people don't want my money. You people don't want customers. I think you just want a bad reputation. I live across from this store but I think I'd rather go down the road to your competitor. read more

I would like to update my review. I've been here a few times more since my unfortunate "profiling" incident, and I have to say.. it has gotten much better. The workers are very friendly and go out of their way to help you. Maybe they did some type of new training, I don't know. But the store as a whole seems to have drastically taken a turn for the better. I remember the strawberries used to be horrible, but lately they have gotten better as well. I will continue to visit this location and give another detailed update. I was actually thinking about taking my old review down, but then I said no. That was my honest experience and it made me feel horrible, so if that review helped the store become better, then I feel like I did my part. read more

Even though Publix has higher prices than most grocery stores, I had shopped this location for many years. It was close to my house, and I considered them to have good quality products. However, for the past year, when I would stop by, I found they were often out-of-stock on their promoted items. When I brought this to the attention of store personnel , they basically told me, sorry we'll offer you a rain check. This was a consistent occurrence which was very frustrating. Since it happened so frequently. I found myself thinking it was a strategy on their part to get customers back into the store. I talked to the store manager several times about my experiences, and I always received the same response ... "sorry, we'll try to do better, but we'll offer you a rain check." It was a response that you can just tell was boiler-plate and insincere It got so bad, I had to call their corporate customer service line. I wanted them to address the lack of stock levels, since this was my go-to-location for me and my family. Rich, a district manager called me back on April 21st. He wanted to understand my frustrations. I told him of my recent experiences ( A ham not in stock the weekend before our Easter dinner.) He told me, "sorry, we'll do better " and asked that I give them another chance. He asked that I wait several weeks, and he would invite me back into the store to see the changes he was working on. I waited over month and was never invited back. However, I did stop in recently, and you know what I found? ...a rain check. A company is only good as the word of their management. Empty promises to customers, is a dangerous pattern to take. Who knows, maybe someone in the Publix corporate area will read this and wonder why sales at this location has declined over $15,000+/yr. I'll give them a hint ... I took my business to Kroger. read more

I want to say a big Thank YOU to JUSTIN the Asst. manager of the meat department of the Publix at Sugarloaf Parkway. I was there the day before looking for a particular cut of meat and a very kind associate was helping me, although I cannot remember her name. I know she said she was the previous manager of the meat department. Anyway, she told me she would communicate what I was looking for to the manager the next day & I could come and pick it up anytime the next day. I spoke with Justin later that day to confirm & he said he would get it ready for me. Unfortunately, he sadly discovered they were out of that cut. But, he really made it up to me when my husband arrived to pick up my order. The level of customer care and service that these 2 associates showed us was amazing. I remember calling my husband when I first left the store, after my initial interaction with the previous meat dept manager & told him I love our new Publix the ppl are genuinely kind, as we are brand new to the area, but he got to see 1st hand what I was talking about. Being from a F&B hospitality background, I always comment how far the customer service bar has fallen. Justin and Celia (sorry if I got your name wrong) really showed us a glimpse of the customer service standard that we have missed so much. They really made our day. Worst experience ever . They were so racist!!! I was shopping for my sister who has been very ill for a couple months , and at checkout there was an item that was previously purchased as a food item and I took it to customer service were Joey with a bad temper said its not a food item , I told him my sister usually buys this protein in chocolate as a food item and he was so rude and said there's nothing I can do been looking at me like I was asking for money . He was rude and ugly . So I went to get the chocolate and showed him it does scan as a food item that's when the manager Dagney arrived and with no questions said I can't give it to you , I said well the chocolate scans for a food item why does not the vanilla . She was very unprofessional and did not even ask if I wanted something else or did not provide any kind of solution just pulled all the protein shakes from the shalf and said she did not know what to do . HORRIBLE on 01/13/2017. I was totally ignored at this location( 3370 Sugarloaf Parkway) by all 4 of the service desk cashiers. I stood there for at least 5-7 minutes. No one ever acknowledged me standing there. Joey was counting money. He looked at me and keep counting.The others were too busy talking and laughing with another customer as if I wasn't there. So I left the store. I really hope that man's conversation was worth losing a valuable customer over. I'll take my business to Ingles, Krogers and Walmart where my money is valued . All I wanted was a GA Jumbo Lotto ticket for $1. Very sad. read more

I don't come to this location often (maybe 5 times total) although it's right next to my house. Today was my second time experiencing terrible customer service. Lady at the sampling table must have been having a bad day. I stopped by her table with my infant and 10 year old son to try the food she was making. I saw she had transferred the food to a plate so I assumed she was done cooking. I stood there for about a minute and she still had not acknowledged me. I said hello and asked if the food was ready to which she replied, "no." I went ahead and finished my shopping and returned when I noticed other people were sampling. When she handed me a sample, I told my son to grab it first. This woman proceeded to pull back the plate and told me the samples are for adults only....I was completely baffled by this (not an alcoholic beverage by the way). So of course I asked her why since my children have never been denied food samples from any other publix, Cosco, etc. to which she replied because some children have food allergies....although I made it clear my son can have the sample. I was completely upset with her treatment towards me and my son, but I calmly stepped away just to notice a mother and her daughter(slightly older than my son) being given the samples. Long story short, I spoke to the manager. She walked me over to the sample table and advised the lady that all customers can have samples if they'd like.... My son being very timid, I wanted this to be a teaching moment for him that you should stand up for yourself if you are being treated like subpar humans which is exactly how she made us feel. By the way, this woman was not giving out gold but shitty cubes of beef. I don't know too many kids allergic to beef and tomatoes. read more

Not sure why this Publix came up as a search result for wine. I am a huge Publix fan when it comes to grocery shopping, especially because of their customer service and I do shop at this one regularly. However, when it comes to wine, they are really, really sub-par. Their selection is mediocre as they do have some decent labels such as R. Mondavi Napa Valley, Jackson, Charles Krug, and wines from Carneros...also a couple of finer quality champagnes. But thats about it. And forget about their imports...hardly anything of interest in that department. The vast majority of the inventory includes lower quality wines. But the biggest problem is the layout and organization, or lack thereof. As a customer you feel lost as the selections are not at all well marked, especially when compared to other retailers such as Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Fresh Market, where signs of wine regions or grape varietals are large and well positioned. While food selection is decent, not a place I'd go to shop for wine. On the other hand, the location on Peachtree Industrial isn't bad, they actually have a wine person on staff and selection is much better. read more
