I have shopped at hundreds of grocery stores around Atlanta trying to find honest employees along with cheap, healthy, fresh foods. At Nam Dae Mon and Walmart there would always be an error at least half the time. For example, a tiny garlic or ginger root has been pressed on the scale to register 2 to even 10 times the weight. They look at me and judge they should cheat me. Aldi stores are just the right size and have exactly the products I need. I have shopped at this store for many years. I LOVE Aldi's‼ I divide my grocery shopping between several different stores. My first stop is to ALDI's I buy all my basics here and many specialty items if they don't have something what I need or want then I'll go to another store. Their prices are beyond compare for produce (except bananas TJ's are $.19 each) good prices on meat, fish and very affordable shrimp! I enjoy the special non food items I gotten lovely gift items, clothing and household item. You can't go wrong at Aldi's because when you don't like something you get a full refund. Aldi has always been my go-to grocery store. They're dirt cheap with decent quality. Heck, some of their prices beats Costco without sacrificing quality, only quantity. Sure you have to trade off for these low prices. You won't have much of a selection, the staff isn't the friendliest bunch, you have to "rent" the shopping cart (I always keep a quarter in my car for this purpose), and you have to wait in long lines since only 1-2 employees work the register. If you can handle these type of inconvenience, then it's worth it to shop here. For this Pleasant Hill location, there's a few things I'm not happy about: they don't offer curbside here. Curbside using Instacart is super convenient and even with the Curbside tax, the prices are still reasonable with Aldi. I'm not sure if this is a new thing, but they have 2 different shopping carts. One is slightly larger than the other, and they don't fit. So when you put your carts back, you have to know which cart you have to put it in a different place. I'm not sure why they have 2 carts. It complicates stuff. Other than that, I like Aldi. read more

Aldi is a really amazing grocery store, because they cut out the frills and fancy sh** and just charge you bargain basement prices for everything. It works better in Europe because they really have to compete with a lot of bargain grocery stores. In America, they're cheap, but not as cheap as they should be or could be. In any case, I came in here for some fruit and a few other items. I went to Aldi at Duluth location to return a idem that I don't like after get out of the box very poor quality. Decided to go back right way for a return. The cashier was very nice and helpful . I ask for store credit since I always there for grocery shopping. I grabbed some stuff and when I was about to use the store credit I realized I lost at the store . I was there for only about 10 minutes. I asked the cashier if anyone has returned the card since I was there only for a few minutes she nicely said nobody has returned yet but I would come back tomorrow and speak with the manager so he could do something about it. She said hold on on to your receipt and come back tomorrow So I did ,for my surprise he doesn't even care about it and was not helpful at all. I wasn't expect to get my money back since was my fault I just ask if he could check if someone returned it to him he doesn't even bother to check he said well I don't believe anyone return. and not even get my name and number in case someone return it. I do believe that still have honest people out there that would return what is not belong to them. Looks like he don't!Really poor costumer service and to be honest he was rude . I am not a fan. I found the shopping experience here to be an inconvenient pain in the arse. First off, you need to insert a quarter into the shopping cart to use a cart. Yes...you need to bring a quarter or NO cart for you. There is no signage to make you aware of this, so you will look like a fool pulling on the cart unless you figure it out. Crazy! They don't offer hand carts or grocery bags at all. I thought that all these cheap-a$$ tactics must be for a great reason and then I stepped inside. The store had a mild but very present sour milk smell that pervaded the air. I saw nothing special as far as food. I don't cook from a lot of boxes (think cake mixes, macncheese, and that kind of crap), eat processed boxed snacks (crackers, cookies, energy bars), or use a lot of canned food, so nothing really appealed to me here. The produce section was extremely limited and the eggplants were visibly beat up and in the process of spoiling. They have a tiny meat section. The only pros I saw were huge European chocolate bars for $1.99 that my husband might enjoy, some nice cheeses for cheap, and they offer these HUGE take and bake style pizzas for $4.99 or $5.99. I've seen Aldi every where but never shopped there. I know Clark Howard has been promoting it on the radio for the longest. The main reason why I've never tried to shop at Aldi is the fact that I live in Gwinnett where there are tons of Asian super markets where I could get cheaper meats and produce so why go to Aldi?? Well first of all, I've been on a healthy foodie kick lately and making it a lifestyle. I have a friend who lives away from Asian super markets and told me she shops at Aldi. She highly recommends Aldi because of the fresh meats and produce besides the awesome prices. Then she goes on and tell me how Aldi has cheaper organic food. Plus there are great deals on quinoa. Then a week or two later, my mom tells me she prefers shopping at Aldi over the Asian super markets cause there are fresher and cheaper fruits. And even my co-worker who is Russian says she shops at Aldi for all her European chocolate she brings at work. I was down for it. I finally went to Aldi on an early Sunday morning. The store itself, walking in, is nothing to rave at all about. However, once I started to pay attention to the items and quality of food they had. I was impress. I found a lot of European goodies. Bananas were on sale for 25 cents a pound. Eggs were only 65 cents? What? I did buy quinoa along with millet and other healthy organic grains. As for meats, I feel they are comparable with Asian super market prices and only got chicken. I will go next time to buy more and maybe to different Aldis too. For those new to Aldi, this is a CASH or DEBIT only place. You also need to bring your own bag or carry your items out by hand. This location is right across from the super Walmart and while it may not offer nearly as many items as the giant store, some of its prices may be cheaper. I have found that Greek Yogurt here tastes just as good as the brands offered at Walmart, but are about 10-15 cents cheaper. Similarly, some of their fresh produce have good prices. Bananas are only 44 cents/lb and a gallon of milk is only about $2.50! I have also tried their pizzas and found them pretty tasty. One of the main reasons why I stop at Aldi instead of Walmart is because the walk from the parking lot through the store is much shorter. YOU ARE ALL RIGHT WITH ME! This is the Aldi's located across from the Walmart on Pleasant Hill Rd. It is not my regular Aldi, but I shop at any location that is on way. Each location is a little different and it is nice seeing new options. Today's cool purchase was the chicken sausage in Italian and Spinach with feta varieties. They proved to be very delicious, light and not at all fatty and are made with chicken that is not injected with hormones or antibiotics. I will definitely be looking for these little babies in my local store. Aldi's has the freshest, meatiest and most delicious ribs I have found outside of a warehouse club. Every holiday, my family wants the traditional bar-b-que with all of the trimmings. I have not seen the ribs in recent months so they are back just in time for the 4th. These ribs are fresh and never frozen. They had this beautiful hearty wholegrain bread that I purchased and am dying to try. I love a hearty toasted bread for my sandwiches and toast. Can't wait to try it! Go Aldi's!! 6/29/15 I went back to the store and bought more of those delicious sausage because they are incredible. For breakfast I boil, butterfly and grill and eat either with or in my eggs. For lunch, boil and eat like a hotdog with sweet onions and honey mustard, can also be broiled. I was too hungry to wait. Finally, this sausage is so flavorful that I can add it to one of my homemade soups along with summer veggies. Don't forget to grab a bag of sweet onions because they are delicious and very mild. You could eat them like sliced apples and the taste does not linger until the next day. What's not to like about Aldi you will find all kinds of random things here from chips to seasonal plants and tents to toys. I did say random. Eggs and milk are always cheaper here than at the grocery store and Aldi has started carrying more gluten free items, while the selection is not large you will be able to get snacks, a few frozen items and wraps for sandwiches. Prosecco and wine can be purchased as well. The only reason they don't get four stars at this location the terribly long lines on a regular basis. read more

I always come here to get a weeks worth of groceries for myself: milk eggs meat veggies yogurt fruit nuts and anything else. Aldi has really great value and has most if their produce fresh. I will be brief. If you read the other reviews about Aldi they will corroborate the following; Aldi ranks 2.8 worldwide. The stores originated in Germany in the early twentieth century. They later became two companies, Aldi Nord and Aldi Sud. They came to the U.S. in 1945 after WWII to capture a piece of the American market. Most people have no idea that Aldi Nord is actually Trader Joe's with a much better reputation. If you shop at an Aldi's (Sud) you will notice the rapid pace of the lines, that's because the employees are on production. This is all done in an effort to keep the prices low and the reason why they have a culture of short staffing. If the employees seem stressed out, anxious or just outright rude this could be the cause of their behavior. You will read reviews of regular product shortages and spoiled produce. Finally you will read reviews of racism/discrimination, this I have experienced personally on more than one occasion in the less than two years that I have shopped at Aldi (Sud). I have been a regular Aldi (Nord) aka Trader Joes' for more than thirty years and have never experienced any poor customer service or low quality products. I love Aldi's and I'm sure I've save quite a bit of money by shopping there. The bagels and croissants are just as good if not better than others and much cheaper. I buy those .99 chicken cordon blues, buns and their meat is excellent.I've bought blackberries for .99 as well as strawberries for the same price while they're in season and higher at other grocery stores. I'm sure Dina with the 77 friends, straw hat and sunglasses would be much happier spending her money at a high end store simply because she's a snob who wasn't able to figure out how to remove a cart here. On the other hand, I who likes to save $$ figured that out very quickly and enjoy the fact that carts aren't going to be denting my car doors as has happened at other stores. Poor Dina, guess she hasn't been to Europe for a while; there you always need to bring your own bag and that custom has been in place for decades. This was a horrible experience and I was there for about 2 minutes. I have never shopped at an Aldi and I doubt I will. I didn't know you had to pay a quarter for a buggy. I tried to turn around to go get a cart from outside and had to look like a fool going In Circles through the store to get back outside. Upon seeing the carts chained together I went to ask how to get one. The attendants were rude and unhelpful. One rolled their eyes at me. They are also one of the only stores to ban the 8 deadly pesticides and chemicals used on produce. They promote healthy living for affordable prices. Love this location. They are always stocked (except weekends when people clean empty the shelves lol) and store is clean. I even buy affordable healty food for my doggy.The staff is awesome . The service here was horrible. Tamika was extremely rude; so rude to the point where she rolled her eyes at me. The keypads where you slide the credit/debit cards are probably very old. I accidentally hit the cash back button and I wasn't sure if I did so I asked her. She shrugged and said "I dunno." Then she said "oh looks like you did." So I asked her to cancel it because I was paying with a business card and I did not want to disrupt my bookkeeping with an unnecessary cash back. She said "sorry, it's yours now."
