The pharmacy staff is so great at the attention to details and letting you know what you need to keep medication effective and safe! They are always busy so we will be patient and know there is a pay-off with the advisement :-). The store is not as large as other super centers but given the available stock and easy way to get in and out quicker with info if needed. The bakery is really good and receptive to questions and requests -if something is not available there is a recipe book for getting it made on request! The deli is a favorite and the accomodating staff will make your sandwich to your specs so it is a hit with us! Just make sure you give them all the details so it will be a home run! The way the staff checks carts for returning back and keeping problems from occuring is something that is missing from other major retail grocery chains! OUR DULUTH STATION PUBLIX--1998 they came out when the community was hit by the1998 tornado that came across Bunten Rd and Sugarloaf from Dunwoody. They brought drinks and snacks to people coming out to work in the yards and take pictures of all the damage! We were out of our house for 6 months for the rebuild of damage to our home. This Publix used to be great, but it's really gone downhill. They are always out of a ton of products while their prices KEEP going up. They are also extremely understaffed, with long waits at the pharmacy and deli, and nothing is EVER ready to go at the deli. I get it if the deli is empty at 3pm or 8pm, but it's annoying when I go at noon or 6 pm, and they don't have any chicken tenders or popcorn chicken ready to go, and ask me to wait 15 minutes to make them. Other Publix stores have these items always ready to go - especially at lunch and dinner. I don't know what has happened to this place, but I'm frustrated half the time I go into this store. Your prices shouldn't keep going up while your service and products get worse! read more

I get Dell sandwiches often they have a big turnover.. The last 3 times after telling the person what I wanted they left out Cheese, honey mustard, pepper,very little olives ,lettuce and spinach,oregano.They failed to toast my bread..I called the store and the manager said I could get a free sandwich..Please make sure these people are trained properly.. read more

I moved here to the area about two weeks ago from Chicago. It was stressful, trying to move while the city of Chicago was in the process of closing down and having everyone stay in place. I thought- well, I know Duluth has a lot of restaurants, shops, and grocery stores near where I am planning on living- so I shouldn't pay the movers to bring things I can buy when I get there....HUGE MISTAKE! When you walk up to the store, they have a dedicated person who is cleaning either the carts or baskets when you're entering. This is probably because there are no wipes anywhere. But it's a nice touch, and I would venture to say it's better than nothing. I appreciate this effort to keep people as safe as possible. Since I've arrived to the Duluth area on March 20th, I have been to this location about 7-8 times. When I first got here, there was no paper products, no cleaning products, no eggs- I realized that I made a huge mistake in thinking I could get what I needed rather easily. So- I basically bought items that I knew I could use to clean up (swiffer wet jet, swiffer duster) my place, and also some items that were easy to come by- ready to eat salad, yogurt, snacks, etc. On Wednesdays, their sushi is half price. That's right- you're going to get rolls for around $5. You're going to have to get here early in the day because the selection isn't going to last very long as the day progresses. I know, you're thinking "supermarket sushi"? It's good enough for a quick bite, and for the price and convenience I'm giving it two thumbs up! I stopped in the deli yesterday to get some meat to make sandwiches since it's the easiest way to get myself fed during the work day. The people working the counter were kind, we talked about my Buffalo Bills shirt, as well as the issues I was seeing from moving from Chicago to GA. While waiting for my items it's not that hard to have a nice conversation and wish them well. I appreciated the touch. I was there in the paper products aisle when Kevin (I assume he is the manager) came by and told us that there was a truck delivering products within the next few minutes and that if we could clear the aisle and wait one over patiently- we can get into the aisle once they stocked it. I was able to get a pack of Toilet Paper, and then I walked to the next aisle over where Kevin was putting up the limited number of wipes they received. There is a limit of one product per person, but I got what I needed to keep me in good shape for the next couple weeks. All checkout lines are manned right now. They know that people are trying to get in and out in a hurry. They have put up screens in between the cashiers and the checkout area for safety and health purposes. They laid tape on the floor so people can keep a safe distance in between themselves. It's unique times in the world- and Publix has been doing their best to make it less stressful for everyone. Since they announced the "stay in place" measure starting tomorrow, I went to the store today to get food and items that will keep me stocked for the next 2-3 weeks without having to go back. The store was very busy, but people were staying calm and there was little visible panic. I ran into Kevin as I was loading my cart up with items I probably won't need, but will appreciate having in the next month...said hello and he joked that they had more paper products in today. I had a good laugh and appreciated that he remembered me. It's the little things. I know people can have bad experiences and get upset. I bought a pack of cheese and meat last week that had a seal on the packaging that wasn't quite right- I took it back and they issued me a refund no questions asked. Also, today I was loading up my car and the person who was handling cart returns walked over and helped me unload the drinks underneath my cart so he could take the cart from me right on the spot. Once again, the little things that made my visit so much more than just dealing with stressful shopping. This will be my go-to place to shop. It's not too far from me, there's a Kroger within walking distance- but they have done more than enough to earn my business while I live in this area. Absolute disgraceful. They load and empty trash bins outside of city ordinance guidelines for noise and wake the whole neighborhood up. Multiple complaints to the police and nothing done. They do not care for their rain drain and so their trash empties into the woods behind it. This Publix is a menance. The management do not care about the community. Neither does Republic Services. If it were a citizen the police would enforce the noise laws, but because its businesses they just remind them of the law. read more

Katie, Joshua and Diane from Deli were extremely helpful. They all made great conversation with me and diane took her time to get some vegan ingredients I requested from the store. Love love love our Publix especially the bakery, we get all our cakes here and they do a great job. Once they for the wrong date and we had to come back an hour later and they gave it to us free for the mistake which I did not expect. This is such a clean grocery store and all the staff are super friendly. read more

I was shocked to see that this publix had only two stars!! I've been coming here for nearly 13 years and I love this publix. I've always thought that everything was organized, but overpriced like most Publixes are. My favorite employee is the Indian man in the deli!! I go there every week to get my cheese/meat fix and he always suggests new things for me to try. If I'm not feeling up to it, he knows my usual order! The cashiers I've had were great too. They always smiled and made small talk! This is why I love Publix- the Publix employees go out of their way to you. Kroger employees don't typically do that. Also, there's usually free samples around! ;) I'm docking a point because there are a couple employees who aren't as kind as others, and because I applied to work here part-time and I got "preferred potential employee" status, but I was notified that Publix wasn't hiring after I spent 40 minutes doing the application. I wish there was a sign next to the application center saying they weren't hiring at the moment! read more

They alway have really great bogo sales. Today as I was shopping I watched an employee (Amanda) ask two other customers if they needed help while she ignored me (both customers were males..go figure). One guy stated he was a vendor & the other man stated he didn't need any assistance. Well I specifically asked her a question so I could see her name tag. We were in the frozen section so I asked if the Philly Swirl came in different flavored. She said no & turned back around (how rude). I said thank you & she said nothing back. I have NEVER met a rude employee in this store until today. So thats why I'm rating it one star. Not because of the store but because of my experience with "Amanda". read more

Horrible service. The rude lady wiped her nose as she reluctantly iced my cake. The cakes look like my kindergartner did it. Publix used to be a place I'd be willing to spend a little more to get better service, but they have become worse than Kroger and even Walmart! The deli is even worse. They argue with you about what you want, instead of giving you what you ask for. My grandfather has complained so many times and the same horrible people are still there. In his day they would be fired and replaced right away for these things. It speaks to what type. Of managet is running this location. read more

I love the customer service at this publix. Also, there was a new cashier lady and she wowed me with her speed and efficiency at scanning!!! By the time I got to the register, she had almost everything scanned! Also, the bagger who is always there, Eric, is always very friendly and always sparks conversation. We used to shop at this location regularly when we lived in the area. We went back recently to visit family and got some items here for a cookout. They had a good variety of items, and we found most of what we were looking for. The store was clean and the items were easy to find. The employees weren't that friendly but they weren't rude either. I did notice that some of the items were way over priced. For example, we regularly buy Gardein meat substitutes and Amy's items, and they cost about $5 each here while they cost $2.50-$3.50 each at different grocery stores in Austin, Texas. I was glad to be able to buy vegan / vegetarian items but the produce section also didn't have as much variety in organic fresh fruit & veggies. Overall, I would still recommend this store. read more

I emailed publix about getting a cake with a fake bottom. They emailed me back and said I could but to call. I called twice yesterday and called again today. They said to call back today to speak to a manager and that I could do it. When I called today I asked them and they said they didn't do it and hung up. The customer service here is really bad. This is actually the first publix that i really hate going to. And also the one nearest me, unfortunately. The cashiers seem to be upset when someone gets in their line, as if that's not what they are there for.. And the deli lady doesn't greet me even if I'm waiting over 3 minutes at the counter. When she sees I'm not going anywhere, she finally comes and says "would you like something?" all in all, shopping here has never been a pleasure.. I wish they would get the self checkout machines; so i could avoid the nonchalant cashiers.. read more
