This is my neighborhood Kroger -- convenient location with prices that are generally comparable to other stores. It's well organized, though the lighting inside could be improved, and the freshness of some produce needs attention. The parsley and green onions looked wilted, and the bananas were so green that you'd have to wait several days before eating them. On the bright side, the frozen vegetable selection was excellent, with plenty of options. I ended up buying frozen veggies to make up for the produce issues. It can be difficult to get assistance, as the service team isn't always visible on the floor. However, they have a great wine selection, and I was able to find exactly what I wanted. Overall, not a bad experience, but there's definitely room for improvement. read more

With the Douglas Road Kroger store permanently closed, this Kroger location is on target to become the best Kroger store in the Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Roswell, Marietta, Cumming, and Suwanee areas. The extremely dedicated store manager has years of experience as a top Kroger store leader. Though she has only been at this location for less than one year, she has successfully made significant and noticeable improvements to a Kroger store that was already one of the best Kroger stores I have shopped at. There are star employees in the produce, Murray's select cheese department and in the dairy department. There is always room for process improvement, however, and the customer service counter as well as the meat department could benefit their Kroger customers by taking a more can-do attitude when addressing customer inquiries over the phone. This Kroger store provides a tranquil shopping experience as well as some of the most modern self-checkout kiosks. Bravo! I have shopped at this store for 30 years blindly, never checking receipt, trusting their pricing and charges. Last night I shopped for few items and my bill was more than what I expected. So I got home and checked the receipt why my bill was higher than expected. I had purchased 3 packs of bottled coke priced for $3.49 in larger print, but I was charged $6.69, almost twice. So I said I will go there tomorrow and get refund of extra charge. Went to the Service counter, explained to them, showed the receipt, but the cashier told me "it is $3.49 with digital coupon". I said ok, I did not see that because you have it in fine prints, but she refused to give me credit. So I asked for manager, he came and after talking he said " just this one time I will give you the credit", the way he sounded was very rude to me, I told him I won't shop there anymore and he goes "I don't want your attitude, take your receipt, get out". Well, infuriated and insulted I left. Besides the insult and all, what Kroger is doing is cheating unaware customers with their price tags with full price in fine prints and coupon price in large print. If you don't see the fine print, you pay twice the price shown in big print. Many customers shop in a hurry and do not read fine prints, and get charged twice. If the customer does not check their receipt, then Kroger made away with double the price. That is defrauding the customers. This practice should be stopped. The non coupon price should be marked in big letters first, followed by coupon sale price to make customers aware of the clear pricing. read more

This Kroger is a great place to shop and pretty well organized. They offer a good value for groceries and the deals can be better with a Kroger card. The pharmacy is also pretty convenient to have in the store. There's also the Kroger fuel center that offers decent gas prices with a Kroger card. Stopped in at this Kroger last night after coming from the hospital. Needed a few last minute things for Thanksgiving. I should come by here more often. This location is clean, spacious and had wayyy less customers inside than the Norcross or Chamblee-Tucker locations. It seems like it has been updated recently but still lacks some of the things that the Chamblee-Tucker location has. For example, the deli section there has chicken salad, deviled eggs, and other pre-prepared items that this one doesn't. It still had everything I was looking for though and was pretty well stocked considering the holiday is just around the corner. The bathroom was clean also, which I definitely can't say for every location. Joshua, I believe his name was, was super helpful in the self-checkout line as I needed assistance with several different things. He was super patient and friendly. They seemed to have closed all the regular checkout lines and closed the back section of self-checkout lines at the time, probably just to let some workers go home early for the holiday. However, the lines were still not bad at all compared to areas closer to the Perimeter. I would definitely come back here. It's a great location especially if you're coming from Emory Johns Creek. read more

I got a new reindeer friend for free, and everything you see here was only ~$120! I recently moved to the area and my house sits halfway in between this Kroger and the Publix right up the road. I tried Publix first and this location was a big letdown. No worries now because this Kroger is awesome. We had several employees greet us throughout the store which was refreshing. Very nice selections and fair prices. Go suck a lemon Publix. read more

Kroger is a good store. Everyone is friendly and their prices are less than Publix and some of the other stores in the area. I find that they have anything I'm looking for so I can't complain there. The check-outs are usually fast, and they have self-check-outs as well. I shop here regularly and I am very satisfied. read more

My boyfriend and I were at self-check out, and this old and racist man gave us an attitude for simply weighing our apples "incorrectly" when we were just fine. He kept insisting to "help" us when we were completely fine. We forgot a grocery bag, and he said a disrespectful comment towards my boyfriend saying "you don't seem to understand the concept"which made no sense. Super unprofessional and a unpleasant experience. Would not go again. Employees who attend to customers with this type of demeanor should be unacceptable. read more

Stay away from the Kroger on 141 ! I witness the store manager find a phone in someone's empty cart as she was helping me look for something and expecting her to make an announcement over the intercom ... intercom was definitely working. Fifteen minutes later I asked her where the phone was and why no announcement was made. After some fake searching, she told me it wasn't my phone and to go away. I said no and she called the Police. Needless to say, I'll never be going back there again. People are shady including Kroger managers. read more

Shop here all the time so that I can get fuel points. It's an OK grocery store well laid out and find everything I want most of the time well stocked. However wish they had a STARBUCKS it needs to be more upscale and the deli part of it is sorely lacking. Wish they were more like the Kroger on Peachtree industrial and Suwanee dam road where they have a lot more selection in the deli for take and go meals. They are competing against sprouts (amazon delivery (have to pay tipping charge) and now really Walmart with their online ordering and FREE pick up. Have tried the kroger clicklist and it's great but you have to pay $5 every time whereas Walmart it's free. OK but they really do need to revamp and modernize and have greater selection in the deli for those who want to take a meal on the go. However, the employees there were not that helpful or Friendly. I as looking for a few items, and they all pointed me in various directions... (all of which were the wrong ways). We ended up finding what we were looking for (dairy free cheese and vegan foods). everyone pointed us towards the dairy section. The store is quite nice, and location has ample parking, however unless you know what you want and where it is, the staff isn't that helpful. read more

SOMEONE'S BEEN REMODELING! I almost didn't recognize this Kroger as I ran in to grab a few items. The first thing I notice is the sushi station where fresh sushi is being made on site. What!! Next I notice the olive and cheese stations and the new and improved deli and meats. Wow, they really have made some great changes and now instead of just running in to grab a few items as I previously did, I decide to just complete all of my shopping here. The produce section has never looked better. Everything is popping fresh and beautifully displayed. As usual, the prices are great and I can always find something on sale that I actually need. I am frequently in this area just shopping for non-food items but now I will make it a point to visit this store and "git 'er done". Love it! I am a big proponent of good customer service. The associates who deal with customers are the most important team members. First impression is everything, in my opinion. I was as Emory Hospital and this Kroger happened to be located nearby. I stopped in to pick up some groceries and had the pleasure of meeting Cindy at the customer service desk. Cindy's fantastic attitude and superior customer service skills stood out. She is awesome! After a rough morning, my encounter with Cindy helped turn my bad day into a better day. The store itself is very well stocked, clean, and offers a separate sitting area to eat or relax. People make the difference in every business. No matter how wonderful the products are, how clean or nice the establishment may be, etc., without outstanding associates to represent the business, it's a worthless investment to any business investor. read more

Overall this Kroger is well maintained, clean and stocked. The only issue we have is the ClickList staff. When they fill orders they take up the entire aisle and make no effort to allow you to pass by them without having to ask. Isn't fun when we are in a hurry and time after time within a visit we must repeatedly ask the ClickList staff to please let us pass by while they shop for other customers. read more

It's nice to know that your 14 year old daughter can be groped by an employee of Swanee Kroger while he is working there and has a history of doing the same to others many times over. When they say Kroger is a friendly place, I had no idea they had this in mind. My daughter had a girl scout cookie booth and was grabbed from behind by the employee and patted on the rear while being held in a "hug". There was no hello or knowing this was going to happen before she was grabbed. The manager stated, He has done this many times and really doesn't mean anything by it". He is over 40 and not special needs. That would have been forgiven easily. The manager tried to down play the whole situation while I'm at home trying to comfort my daughter telling her not everyone is like that. I talked to the manager and her uncaring attitude lead me to filing a police investigation with the Swanee police. I told the manager I was doing this and before the police could get there she sent the employee home. She also told me there was no camera where the incident took place(on the outside of the front door?) really? The police confirmed there indeed was a camera and had viewed the footage. Not only did we not get an apology from anyone at Kroger, they started there own investigation on my 14 year old daughter instead. Can we say time for a top rated attorney? Yes we can. I'd stay away from the bakery if you're looking for something well baked and nice looking. One more than once occasion we have had a completely raw cookie cake and terribly designed cake. They also didn't read the order form for what type of icing was selected. The bakery items in the case always seem fine, but i'd Steer clear of custom orders. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars.And I will go to publix from now on for bakery items. I came in to order a large sheet cake for my daughters 10th birthday party. It wasnt last minute, it was to be picked up 6 days later...The employee who "helped" me was named Jennie. First she told me that I shouldve ordered it earlier, because they need 7 days at least for special orders.had a sorry attitude and didnt act like she wanted to help me. When I asked questions about the cake sizes and servings she was short and impatient with me,kept looking at the clock. Not to mention she reeked of cigarette smoke. I asked her if someone else could help me and she said she was the only one there in that dept at the moment. I'd recently had a negative experience at the fuel station so I went in the other day to talk to customer service. I explained my problems to the supervisor/manager and to this employee who I believe was named Patrick. They took care of all my problems and quickly gave me a full refund for the incorrect charges I had been given the previous night at the fuel station.
