Their fried chicken also which was always so good is being overcooked now but not nearly as bad as the rotisserie chicken ( which is so dry I gave it to my dog tonight...she liked it mixed w her dog food You can't hardly get a sub w/o waiting what seems forever. Not enough staff and definitely supervision is sorely lacking..This is a very nice food chain but this store doesn't achieve the standards of Publix from the past, and other Publix stores Deli counter needs at least 2 people making sandwiches and another to serve food at the counter. I know this is long, but please read to the end as this affects ALL PUBLIX SHOPPERS: We shopped at Publix grocery confidently for many years. Their customer service is great..except with the deli and sub areas as the line is always long and the employees seem slower in this section; and, the pharmacy which can't seem to keep meds stocked. But that did not keep us from being loyal customers. Have you ever gotten ground chuck that has crunchy bits in it after cooking? Have you gotten sick with pancreatitis or liver issues after eating the fish? Does your milk leave white ...stuff (not dried, spilled milk crusts) all over your fridge that seems to multiply? Do you have issues swallowing and feel like a glob of phlegm is in the back of your throat that you can neither swallow nor cough up? Has recent bloodwork all of a sudden show elevated cholesterol and liver enzymes? Have you not been able to lose weight despite exercise and healthy diet? This is what made us rarely, if ever, shop there anymore. The fact is that their butcher dept has flukes. Fasciola HEPATICA specfically. This infectious parasite can be found on ANYTHING THE BUTCHER/MEAT/ FISH DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES TOUCH. Unfortunately, this issue is at ALL Publix locations as they all get their meat from Florida (and other non-American countries). Flukes are not endemic to the US and usually are found in 3rd world countries;, however, snails carry them (if your dog eats snails, there is a good chance you have flukes) and they can be found in fish tanks. They are nearly impossible to get rid of as the flatworms reproduce asexually laying 3k to 5k eggs a day, each. Nothing kills them except freezing, hydrogen peroxide, DE, and the hemicals in tobacco. Borax may help in the laundry. The laboratories that can diagnose them don't know how to run the tests for these parasites and do not look for animal parasites, so misdiagnosis is prevalent in the US. A hint for the laboratories: fecal sedimentation and dry sputum tests or trans-trachial wash is how they are diagnosed. I have contacted Publix, the DOH, CDC, Emory infectious disease department, and multiple laboratories about this. No one takes me seriously about about this and they brush off my concerns. I am an expert in parasitology logging over 10k hours working in the veterinary field. Even Veterinarians are not catching them in fecal samples now that everything is automated. Do your own research. If I get contacted by any of these labs/doctors/businesses about this I will no longer speak to them as I have been trying to tell them about this since 2018 and have held of leaving a poor review until now. They can do their own research and testing. Shopping is no longer "a pleasure" at Publix. read more

publix's "online" ordering option for food is not worth it. not only is it $35 for two subs, the wait time is terrible. the whole purpose of ordering online is so your food is ready to be picked up. I shouldn't have to wait 40 minutes to pick up my order.... The location is fine in a pretty busy shopping plaza. The store is pretty well kept and stocked but The staff at the deli are extremely slow. I've waited about 10 mins just for the deli server to find the meatballs requested for my sandwich. This isn't he first time this has happened. It happens everytime and makes me want to forget it and not come to this location anymore. I'm giving 1 stars because the rep was really sweet but they all need training on speed. It shouldn't take 20 mins to make a sub. This is so ridiculous and disgusting especially for an evening rush! Attention, to those using the pharmacy here be careful when it comes to what they say about there perception being AVAILABLE . I've had the worst experience possible, Kayla the lady at the front desk just informed me that she was absolutely unaware of the fact they WONT not CANT but WILL NOT order the prescription we need. we were told that the perception was on order a week ago and not once were we called and told it won't be ordered. I've always loved Publix subs so I tried ordering on line . Big mistake I ordered 4 subs footlongs. Two Ultimates and 2 Boars head steak and cheese. My order was supposed to be ready by 7:15 I was there before 7 did not get my order until 7:30 and everything that I ordered was not on my sub... yes I am upset because I paid $18.00 for mines.. And the subs were horrible no seasonings mayo etc just meat and black olives totally disappointed with online ordering. I have shopped at this Publix since relocating to Georgia in 2013. Unfortunately I have experienced declining customer service that appears to be a trend that no one can stop. My experience today was a great example. After getting off work this morning I stopped at this Publix to pick up today's dinner for my family. Mardi wings, salad makings, bread and Publix ice tea. One of our favorite meals. After picking up these items and about 150.00 in additional groceries I went home only to find that my freshly prepared wings were not in my bag. I called the store and despite the inconvenience I had already experienced, the only remedies offered to me by the customer service representative Myisha, and manager on duty, LaToya would further inconvenience me and my family. They assumed no responsibility for the mistake and ignored my requested consideration, basically saying take it or leave it. I requested they use instacart, Uber, or other service to bring the main course of my family meal to my home. They said we'll "Hold" your wings until I come back and get them. I explained I had worked overnight taking care of critically ill patients and stopped there to get my family's dinner and was basically too tired to come back. I reminded them that this is their mistake not mine. They never accepted responsibility. My home is 0.6 miles door to door from this Publix. The same time I spent on hold, waiting to talk to two different "Non customer focused" employees, someone from Publix could have walked the 0.6 miles to my home and brought the main course of my family meal to my home. I just left this Publix completely disgusted!!! This lady is waking thru the store, she has a small white dog on a leash. She didn't even bother to put the Amazon purchased "service animal" vest on the dog. She's just in there like whatever...At first glance, I thought she'd knocked something over and on to the floor, but NO! Her dog had sh***ed on the floor. She allowed her dog to take a crap (3 piles by the way!) right there in front of the dairy section. It wasn't runny as if the dog were sick, it was solid as if he was just sh***ing and walking. She puts plastic bags, the ones you put your fruits and vegetables in, over her hands, which would imply that she had to walk away from said s**t in order to get the bags... She proceeds to pick up the crap. Then, as if she's taking a stroll in the park, she continues shopping with this plastic bag of dog s**t dangling in her hand until she finds the nearest trash can to toss it in. This has got to be such a health violation and issue. What if something falls on the ground where the crap was and there's still residue of it in the floor? Um, cross contamination... I'm an animal lover to the core, but this is just beyond disgusting. Someone who works in that store had to have seen that lady and dog come in and/or walking around. For the 3rd time in 4 months, this store has had OLD outdated eggs on the shelf. Today is November 27, 2021 and the Nellies jumbo eggs were dated Best by 11/12. All of the eggs on shelf except one package which expires 12/01 were outdated and should not have been on the shelf. Same deal with the Dairy Pure milk. It was on the shelf with past best by dates - not weeks but 2 months. This is really ridiculous. The manager offered a free dozen of eggs which I appreciated (did not accept) but this is consistent bad behavior. I am also going to file a complaint with the Health Department. read more

Generally, I love Publix. Usually they have great customer service. However, there is an ongoing issue with ordering deli sandwiches online. Multiple times now, I've ordered sandwiches online, only to arrive and they have not yet been made. One orders for a specific pick up time. I could have gone in, stood in line and ordered a sandwich and got home faster. The associate who ultimately made the sandwiches acted put out that I asked for my sandwiches. The bakery at this Publix is the worst when it comes to special orders!!!! We ordered (a few days in advance), for a second time, two loaves of white mountain bread UNSLICED - since they slice all of their loaves of white mountain bread. And, again, when we went to pick up our order it wasn't ready because they didn't check all of their orders till later in the the morning. Yesterday we had to wait on our bread to come out of the oven - the first time we had to leave without our second loaf and went to another Publix. This publix location is the worst by far. I have never been so embarrassed in my life. I'm a new mother to the WIC program and the manager, a customer, the bagger (not the cashier) made a complete spectacle of my experience during check out. The manager did not greet me and had the expression of irritation all over her face. The bagger gave me the most hateful look and made me feel so uncomfortable. The cashier kept her composure which I appreciated because I wasn't familiar with this process. Another customer had to explain to me what to do for next time so it would run smoothly. And then also told me not to feel intimidated. There were other items outside of my WIC I needed to purchase but instead I'm going to Walmart so I can purchase my items with the rest of the normal people who won't give me dirty looks. I guess it doesn't matter how much money you have, if you have WIC and you're a WIC SHOPPER your business is not valued. I regret coming to this Publix.
