The cashier at Aldi on 6336 Roswelo road Sandy Springs. Store #20just stole $8.65 from me by charging me for extra toilet paper. They are fast for the purpose of stealing your money, so people need to take their time and check their receipt when they are buying a lot. I think when buying a lot is when the thieving cashiers strike. I got there at 7pm and my total was $277.81, it was more than I usually get, I even asked the lady that it seems some things were scanned twice but she said no, only to get home and found out the added charge. They have no phone number on the receipt and the one I called directed me to online. I'm never leaving the store again without checking my receipt no matter how large the groceries is and what time it is. Those are the two factors the cashier took advantage of. read more

I have come to this Sandy Springs Aldi's for 7 years. The manager was kind, the store organized, well stocked and immaculate. As of the past two months the store is dirty, unorganized, low inventory. Yesterday, there was paper on the floor, empty clear water bottles that were stepped on and flattened (at least 6 of them) in various parts of the store. The empy to part filled bins to stock the store were all over the place. The manager is rude and everytime I go to the register the cashier (same one each time) is looking at her facebook on her cell and looks at it while waiting for cusomters to pay, etc. Horrible store. Plus - for the past month there are some kind of solicitors with a table set up in front. They are loud, rowdy and while I am in a office storefront 4 businesses down, I can hear them all day long as can our clients! Will now drive all the way to Roswell instead. read more

Like everyone else I'm trying to save a few pennies here & there and Aldi makes that happen. They have their own brands and the quality of product their putting out I've been pretty happy with, Greek yogurt is super thick and only .89 cents, Woven Wheats(Triscuts sister) are a dollar cheaper than Kroger and the meat is fresh it comes in three times a week . Limited but great deals on produce and Milk is always two dollars a gallon ! They also back up their products, if you don't like it bring it back and they will exchange or refund it for you . read more

I think I may have left my Instacart card there the last time u shopped there. I have no way beside returning to this location to check if I left it there to begin with which I find rather annoying. I've been to three locations and 1 out of 3 had good customer service. 2 white blonde women were rude to me (I'm black btw; be nice to ensure I don't think it's a race thing) and one black male checked me out and the male encounter was by far the best. I understand we are all short staffed but that's all the more reason to bring your A game to work. You want respect; you must first lead with it. Shopping experience was great checking out could definitely be a better experience. There's my opinion of your store. read more

Aldi= Big Savings! I go here at least twice a month and the amount of items that I purchase and total bill in comparison to other supermarkets/grocery stores is significantly lower. With that being said, don't expect to get everything you need here. I do make my rounds at other grocery stores but Aldi stands out when it comes to the purchase of these items; 1. Fresh produce- tomatoes, cucumbers, plantains, grapes and avocado all seem to taste better and last longer than the competition. 2. At this particular store it's the 2nd aisle, they have a bunch of household, kitchen and outdoor items that are reasonably priced. Not always the best quality but still attractive to the eye and very useful e.g. plastic bottles, containers, glass/plastic wares, coolers, patio chairs, plant pots. 3. Frozen food items- 'seek and ye shall find' While Aldi is NOT my ideal store for frozen food it DOES come in 2nd place. The variety isn't always the same but you can be sure to stumble across something that you'll definitely enjoy (i.e. for an evening when you're too tried to cook or not in the mood for a big dinner, you can simply pop something in the oven for a few minutes and voila, something to nibble on) 4. Snacks- I get a lot of my junk food here at a great price (no judgement please...lol) 5. Wine- they have a nice selection of great tasting bottles from as low as $2.89. Apart from the cashiers you really don't see any other staff around but, given the size of the store it's easy to navigate without any assistance. read more

I had never heard of Aldi before and while on a walk I discovered this store. I decided to check it out wandering in and looking at prices which were super low! When I came across a 32oz tub of organic lowfat yogurt for $2.99, I decided to go get a little basket or cart to carry my stuff. But then I couldn't find any basket or cart, none inside the entrance. Then I saw some carts floating around the checkout area so I went to grab one, but the cashier ringing people out stopped me. He said that those carts just hanging around that weren't being used were being used. He told me to go outside and pay 25 cents for one. They charge you to use their shopping carts! Since they also don't have baskets for their customers, I asked the tall white guy cashier with the somewhat condescending attitude if it would be OK if I used the bag I brought with me to load my groceries. He said yes. So I walked back around the store and got a few things. 2lbs of organic bananas for $1.19, six pack raisins for $1.39, the cheap organic yogurt and a big bag of round tortilla chips for $1.19. The price is right! When I was checking out, the only option was this same guy, no other lines open so I waited in line for a few minutes after I emptied my cloth bag onto the conveyor and put the bag up front so he could see it was empty and re-bag the stuff. The guy tells me that they don't take any credit cards (so much for my Amazon points) and then he proceeds to give me back the bag and put my items in a cart, leaving me to re-bag it all. Aldi obviously doesn't understand customer service. Maybe that's why their off brand stuff is so cheap. read more

This is a well stocked and well-maintained Aldi among the many I've visited. However, customer service is severely lacking. When you're checking out, all the items go straight from the conveyor belt into a grocery cart. You bag them yourself. The cashier doesn't even wait for the person ahead of you to finish bagging their groceries before piling your items into the cart, creating a lot of confusion and rushing you. Every cashier I've had here for the past year has done this, so it's not limited to individuals. I'm starting to think workers at this location are *trained* to not have any patience or human decency. I've never had this problem at Aldi's in other locations in Georgia or New York State. At this one, though, expect to be treated like cattle in line. read more

I shop here every week because I'm able to get pretty much everything I need. Every so often I have to go to another larger chain grocery store because Aldi's doesn't carry something but that's rare. It's a small store so I can get in and out very quickly. And employees have always been super helpful in helping me find what I need. read more

Saw this Aldi while in Sandy Springs and decided to give it a try. I have not shopped at an Aldi in years. What I remembered but more organized and clean. Random brands of groceries. They have a large refrigerated and freezer section. Fresh breads, produce, and fruits. We were pleased with our visit and will try them again. read more

I go here weekly to get my groceries. It's a small location and has far fewer customers than Whole Foods, Kroger, or Publix. It's easy for me to find everything I need within 10-15 minutes. There is typically only one cashier, but, they ring up orders fast! Even huge lines move quickly. The value here is unbelievable - so many organic options for far less than other brand stores!! I also feel relatively safe here, given COVID, because everyone wears masks, employees clean, and I can get in and out fast, minimizing potential exposure! read more

Clearly many people do not get the "Aldi Concept". Prices are so much cheaper compared to everywhere else because they do such things as not accepting credit cards because stores have to pay fees for those, you know...and having you put a quarter in the cart so they save on staffing and damage of people leaving carts in the parking lot because people will most likely put their cart back and get their quarter back. They also have you bag your own groceries and bring your own bags (or pay for bags) to again, save on staffing and keeping their prices low ...oh AND MAYBE BECAUSE ITS BETTER FOR THE ENVIRONMENT?! - Which apparently no one cares about... I absolutely adore Aldi and jumped up and down when they put this location in down the street from where we live. I save SO much money on basics by going there. I make my list each week and pick up all my basic needs at Aldi: canned goods, baking goods, snacks, cereal, milk, eggs etc and then drive over to Kroger and get everything else I need. The produce is cheaper at Aldi, but not all the best quality, so I like to just check it out first and only buy if it looks fresh. Their meat also isn't the greatest, so I tend to purchase that at Kroger as well. However, for all staples and basics, this place is the BEST and really keeps my grocery bill way down compared to what I used to spend when Aldi was too far away from my house. read more

If you want to save big bucks on groceries, Aldi is your best option. Aldi prices are 30-40% below WalMart, 50% below Kroger and 60-75% below Publix. They even beat Costco by 10-20%. So get over the fact they make you rent a cart for a quarter and don't take credit cards and the checkout people work fast - the savings are huge. I feel guilty if I have to purchase groceries in another store because I know I'm wasting money. I also like how quickly you can get in and out of the store - 10-15 minutes max. Selections at Aldi are limited, but you can find an Aldi food example for probably 90% of your grocery needs. If you don't like the Aldi brand, they offer a money back guarantee - I've never had to use it. Update April 2016: Aldi has a made a few changes since my original review. They now accept credit cards. Their prices are still the lowest grocery store out there. They are slowly expanding their grocery offerings including more specialty items from Germany and more organic produce. read more

First of all I'd like to address the reviewers that complain about having to "pay for a cart". As with all Aldi's across the nation,...you rent a cart for a quarter and get the quarter back when you return the cart. This it to make it so you have to return the cart. (go to their website before you go to the store so you'll know how it works) This is one of the ways Aldi can save consumers money. (no one has to be hired to gather them from the parking lot...) You also need to bring your own bags cuz you're gonna have to bag your own groceries. As far as customer service goes, there usually aren't too many people working in the store,...unlike other grocery chains. Sometimes if a lot of people are checking out, many of them will be called to the registers so you may not be able to find someone easily. I've never had an issue getting pleasant help in any store I've been to. I find that most people in general are friendly. (at least here in the south..) Aldi has the checkout system streamlined to get customers through in near lightening speed. Your groceries go into the previous customer's empty cart, you pay, and then bag your own groceries at the long counter, leaving your empty cart for the next person. Genius! Again here's another way to save you money since they don't have to pay someone to bag your groceries for you. I confess I have been an Aldi junkie for several years now. I've been to several stores but due to a recent move the Sandy Springs store is closer -so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm pleasantly surprised! This is the largest Aldi I've been to and that includes other states. I was super impressed at how fresh the fresh veggie section was here. Sometimes it's hit or miss with some stores but really fresh here! When I first started going to Aldi I did not think I liked it, but once I learned what to buy I just love it. (you can take it back no questions asked for any reason...except for booz) It's also very fun that they have different products in seasonally,...so you never know what kind of treasure you'll find. Fall is my favorite time when they get specialty items from Germany. Sometimes they have special pastas from Italy. I have my favorite things that I buy over and over. For example "Never Any Uncured Ham" is excellent and so are their pork butt roasts in the elastic webbing. I cook them in my Instant Pot. I like the Organic milk and buy the cream. Way cheaper and just as good if not better than Horizon or other organic brands. Onions and potatoes are a super bargain as are lemons and limes and cabbage, scallions, lettuce, peppers, celery,..etc. Sometimes they have locally grown stuff. I'm picky with eggs and like Organic with dark orange yolks, so I don't buy eggs there. ( Vital Farms are my fav) I could go on! (don't forget the chocolate with hazelnuts!) Negs: I have had some tough steaks from Aldi so I don't buy those anymore. Mostly I buy Chicken and the pork butt. The grass fed hamburger is good. I don't like their fresh garlic. (cloves are too small..) Onions are a super bargain as are lemons and limes and cabbage. Sometimes they have locally grown stuff. In closing,...it's pretty hard to pay more money for the same thing at a regular grocery store. I can get a huge basket of groceries at Aldi for way less than it would cost at Publix or Kroger. I can't get everything there but I go there first and get the rest from one of the others. We are not on a tight budget. I just don't like throwing money away. read more

Like many people we spent so long looking for a buggy only to be rudely told you have to cough up a quarter to use one. Of course, no change to be found. The one employee was so rude. He sat on his stupid cashier chair instead of standing and appearing professional. He told a pregnant lady to carry her two packages of bottles water over to the "bagging area" because they were talking up too much room on the counter. Produce was terrible. Rotting and gross. Nothing organic. Meat so pumped full of water. Yes you save money but you get what you pay for. The whole foods is right down the street and we went there after discovering aldi doesn't take credit cards (is this 2013 or not?) Same items 7 dollars more at WF. I'd give Aldi 5 stars for value but the service at this particular location (Sandy Springs) has been repeatedly poor. The rude manager (I think his name was Pete) and other rude cashiers have made me try to go to the Smyrna location or others when I'm in other parts of town. I also wish they wouldn't throw the groceries in your cart so hard after ringing up. Fruit is always damaged and tops of yogurt get busted. They need a better, gentler way of moving the groceries. read more

You have beggars outside your store asking for money. And the cashier throws the food in the cart not caring about the quality of the food or the condition I take it home in. The cashier name was Kimberly by the way. What I mean is she throw our fresh tomatoes in the car and they landed on the floor and in the bathroom there was no toilet paper so over all the customer service really suck really bad so I hope you guys could really take it in consideration and improve customer service . Before this Aldi in Sandy Springs opened, I had only been to Aldi once, several years ago, went way out of my way to try one in Alpharetta. Hated it, due to not being able to find everything I need. I decided I'd give Aldi another try since this one opened near home. The selection seems better, but the main thing is how cheap it is. Since it's close to home, I can put it on my rotation, buy the things on my list that Aldi carries, and go elsewhere to do the rest. A typical visit to this Aldi nets me one or two grocery bags full of stuff for about $15-30, then I go across the street to Trader Joe's and buy a few more things that fill up a grocery bag for about $40. read more

Like another reviewer, I live close-by and have put Aldi on my weekly rotation. Their produce generally looks very good, and I am able to save on lettuce, bananas, cauliflower, avocados, and seasonal items such as cantaloupe and honeydew. You can also save a lot on staples such as vegetable oil, pasta, etc. I had been once to another Aldi, was not prepared for for their operating methods such as the 25 cent deposit for a shopping card and left unimpressed. When Aldi opened in Sandy Springs, I decided to give it another try. The store is clean and well-run, and since I was familiar with the drill I left this time knowing that I would return routinely. The 25 cent deposit may put you off at first, but you never see loose shopping carts in the parking lot. read more
