I ordered groceries through instacart, but I just wanted to highlight the fact that I prefer this location over the one close to Sandy springs circle. There is just something different about the setting.It just doesn't seem as overrun with people all over the aisles, and that makes for a better shopping experience, in my opinion. As with any kroger, you have a wide variety of tea of typical grocery items, but I do tend to like to try some of their private selection.Items. they just released a few breakfast bagels and stuffed croissants and those were really good, so I'll definitely be adding them to my shopping list in the near future. Just left this location around 2:30pm today and the Asst Manager Elissa (I know I have the name misspelled) but I'm sure you can gather who I'm speaking about..... although not rude was very dismissive in her communication. When I requested to know if they had any handheld baskets, she just pointed to a corner next to the self checkout line. No verbal communication at all was had. Although this seems minor, the interaction felt very dismissive. She could've clearly communicated verbally where the baskets were located. Nonverbal communication and pointing your finger in a direction can come across as a sneering gesture. Fix it with communication training. read more

A couple of months ago, I joined the Kroger Boost program for grocery delivery. My experience has not been good but the latest was terrible. The delivery was over an hour late. All bags were significantly over packed. Eggs were broken and over all the groceries in the same bag. And all the bags were drenched. Customer service as well as the delivery person were totally unconcerned. There is no option to get a refund or if there is it is very difficult to find. I will not be shopping through Kroger delivery again. read more

Came here three days ago to shop for some groceries for someone under the weather. I thought I had already written a review of this store, so I didn't bother to take any pics, but, apparently I was wrong. Parking was easy to find, since this Kroger location shares a large free parking lot with many small businesses that are in the same strip mall. A Kroger gas station is located between Roswell Rd and the big parking lot. The main entrance brings customers into a large produce area, where most of the items looked fresh, except for the large navel oranges that were too expensive. Too expensive and reject oranges ... nope! I ended up getting some bagged oranges instead. I also looked for some chicken soup, and ended up buying some Kroger brand chicken noodle soup that turned out to be a good buy since it passed the ill person's taste test. One thing that bothers me about this store, and I rarely shop at this location, is that the placement of items is sometimes disjointed, and not put into a logic order. Why not put ALL of what could be considered snacks in the same aisle, like one would expect, instead of having some items in the produce area, some in the snack area, and some in an aisle I just didn't expect them to be in? I get it, a decision maker wants to put items in a high traffic area so that more people just grab and go, but I mostly look for specific items, like a certain brand, or size or flavor, and I will walk the entire store looking for it. It's just annoying finding out that what I'm looking for is not where it should be. *sigh* The back of the store seems pretty cluttered to me, with many items appearing to have been pushed into a long line that takes up some of the aisle space. There are too many self checkout registers here, and not enough open regular checkout lanes. The employees are so much faster and efficient at ringing up customers than the average customer is, and, really, some customers should just stay far away from the self checkout lanes. read more

Came here one night to get some last minute groceries with my boyfriend. Everything was organized like any other Kroger, there wasn't anything unique about this one. Disappointingly, once we ready to checkout, there were no cashiers open. The only area available to check out at was the self-checkout line, and even then, not all the self-checkouts were open. It took us about 20 minutes in line to finally checkout. I'm still grateful for those who were working that night, but hopefully this location restaffs soon so that people aren't waiting too long to checkout. read more

This review is for the Kroger Fuel Center located in front of the Kroger supermarket at the Fountain Oaks shopping center on Roswell Rd. You can get decent prices for gas at Kroger Fuel Center if you have a Kroger Plus Card and take advantage of their fuel program. It's a little confusing, but basically, you earn fuel points by spending money on eligible items at Kroger. You get 1 point for every $1 you spend and there are bonus points for other things like gift cards (2x points) and prescriptions (50 points per prescription). One time, I got 150 points for a prescription that I paid only $15 out-of-pocket (copay) for. I have no idea what happened there. I spent 100 points at my fill-up here and that knocked $0.10 off per gallon from my purchase. You can spend up to 1,000 points to get $1.00 off per gallon. The limit is 35 gallons per fill-up/transaction. I don't carry a physical Kroger Plus card. I just have the Kroger app on my phone which has my Plus card inside. The pumps at the Fuel Center are unable to scan phones so I had to get the attendant at the kiosk to scan my phone and enable the $0.10 per gallon savings. Since I had to do that, I couldn't pay at the pump so I had to tell the attendant how much to charge my card. I wanted to fill up my tank all the way, so I told her to charge me $40 even. Since the total ended up being $31.19, $8.81 was refunded to my card. That process was inconvenient. Kroger should upgrade their Fuel Centers so Plus Cards on the Kroger app can be scanned at the pump. After exploring the Kroger app a bit more, I discovered a place where I can enter a 10-digit alternate ID number. Next time, I should be able to punch in my alternate ID at the pump to unlock savings and pay at the pump. This Kroger Fuel Center has 10 pumps with a tiny attended kiosk selling cigarettes and other stuff in the center. Aside from that, it's bare bones like a Costco gas station. If you're looking for a convenience store, go to QuikTrip or RaceTrac. If all you need is gas, this is not a bad place to fill up. read more

This is my main grocery and I have the Boost Delivery service. On January 10th, I never received my order and I had to reorder from Instacart. It's January 23rd, and I still have not received my refund of $82.26! I called the 800 number for Kroger, and it took me FOUR CALLS AND AN HOUR TO GET THROUGH TO A HUMAN BEING!!!! SHAME ON YOU! I could not get resolution with Kroger who insists the refund went through 1/20, even though US Bank (Kroger Mastercard) said they had no such verification code and no credit on file. So this would be a 3* except for two big things: GAS! I use my beloved's Kroger number to get the deals - sometimes up to $0.10 off a gallon. Much appreciated these days. The Wall. Of. Coffee! Seriously, I am in love with this section of the store (most others leave me wanting). It's a veritable cornucopia of Keurig choices, in addition to the regular old-fashioned kind. Right now, I'm enamored with the seasonal Starbucks Graham flavor - and I love that most every kind of name brand option is $7.99 (again, with that card, and a deal vs Publix usual price of $9.49 - their occasional sales on just one kind of special coffee at a time brings that to $6.99). Otherwise, it's a pretty oldish, typical Kroger. But since I happen to be in this area of southern Sandy Springs a lot, it's a 4* rating from me. read more

This has to be the most poorly managed Kroger in Atlanta. There are rarely baskets available when you enter the store. You have to find it yourself. Typically by the self check-out. There are never multiple in-person registers open. 1 at most. They constantly close down half of the self-checkout registers at peak hours which creates massive lines. They close half of the entrance at like 8pm. Rarely is there ever anyone at the customer service checkout. The seafood and deli close down way too early. I was in there yesterday and there was nothing available at like 7pm. The Starbucks is a total lottery. Some days it is open and others not. read more

I've been shopping here for years and even know some of the staff by name due to what was (almost) daily visits for something, it used to be my favorite Kroger it is no longer, there are plenty of other places in town to shop. Produce - Unless your going to use them inside of a 2 to 3 day range I don't normally buy produce here it will go bad to quickly . Meat department - Is fresh but they seem to run out of chicken at times during sales a couple of the guys in this area are helpful Nate being one of them. Beer and wine - They run out of my brand on a regular basis if you know people are drinking it make a bigger order. Check out lanes - Can be a sore spot for me at times. I get tired of seeing clerks eating, not saying "Hello" or in some cases even talking on there cell phones while your in line! One evening I shit you not, I actually saw one female employee drinking on the job Valentines evening while other employees poured for her when I was using the WiFi in the deli area. Really wow. What ever happened to a proper uniform and it's policy's if this exists the rules are clearly not followed. "No" is used more often than not instead of "what can I do for you or how may I help?" Coupons - I found out this evening that you can only use 4 per sale so if you have multiple coupons you have to have separate transactions or come back to use them, Thank you in advance for your lack of customer service or convenience. read more

I really like this Kroger right down the street from my house. This store is one of the cleaner Kroger stores in town, and they also boost a pretty good selection. It might not be as nice as most of the Publix stores, but it is one of the nicer Kroger stores. I usually never buy my produce from Kroger since it is usually not that fresh, but at this store they keep their produce up to par. And their meat department also carries a good selection of meats as well. They also sport a pretty good bakery in this store. Also one big thing I love about this Kroger is they have a gas station. I love saving my $.10 off per gallon on gas by using my Kroger plus card. I always use the self checkout at this Kroger and the usual cashier that works them is super great; she is very friendly and always willing to help with a smile. read more

Not that I find random ways to hit up this kroger at all hours of the night to take advantage of it's 24 hours open goodness, but man it came in handy when I was in need of deodorant and it was the only store (that I was aware of) open at an early hour! I know many people can't stand shop and save cards, but I also got my deodorant of choice at a "wow, really??" price, much cheaper than what i'd find at other stores. You probably aren't finding anything different here than you would elsewhere, as the set up is pretty much the same, but it's always nice to find a store where the aisles are a little cleaner, and you can get in and out with no hassle. Also helps that it's not RIGHT off 285, because you don't get the congested effect that you do at the nearby publix or wholefoods. I like that. Oh yea, there's a kroger gas station that I rarely see with waiting lines, so there's that also. Nice location. read more

Ok, so this really should be a two...but two huge things bump it to three... The first thing is GAS!!!! I use my Kroger plus card for everything and it's great to get a deal on gas! Usually, it's about $0.10 off per gallon, which really adds up! Also, it is so nice to have a one stop for gas and groceries. Especially during the work week. The second thing is Star!! Star is amazing! She is always warm and friendly and is able to answer any question that you have. Star usually is posted at the Self-Serve Check Out center, and will greets everyone as they walk in. It's so nice to have a friendly face during your shopping experience!!! The actual space is HUGE; however, they don't have a big selection of items, and don't carry items that are easily found at other Kroger's. To be honest, it needs a bit of a face-lift. Although, it does have a nice Starbucks inside, and the people in the deli are super friendly. read more

Yeah, it's a Kroger. A grocery store that's not as good as Publix. But, there are a few things to love about this particular location. Namely, the ability to get a mixed 6 pack of beer. They've got a huge selection of chilled singles that you can mix into a 6 pack for $8.99. Unfortunately you can only buy in groups of 6 rather than just buying one or two beers, but it's still a really nice option when you can't make up your mind what is it that you want. Also, the lady who runs the U-scan area is super sweet. Sure, she may be absolutely terrifying looking (and those who have seen her know what I'm talking about) but she's super helpful and funny. This is my neighborhood Kroger of almost two years and I can say its started to growing on me. Let it be known that I was spoiled by the Disco Kroger in Buckhead. The sushi bar, fine cheese section, huge wine display and super fresh produce gave me overarching expectations of Kroger's greatness. Then I moved 4 miles down Roswell Road to the border of Sandy Springs. It was a sharp reality check. Yes they have a decent wine, cheese and sushi selection but there wasn't the same ambiance for me. I found it later...in the awesome staff at this Kroger. All the ladies who work the cash registers are so nice just like the guys in the meat, deli and produce section. My pal creating flower displays really has a knack for bouquet design. Sure - sometimes the products are a miss (spoiled fruit or fatty meat) but ya get what ya pay for. The gas station is convenient and prices are always the best around Buckhead, so they one-upped the Disco Kroger on that front. Like I said, my neighborhood Kroger has truly become a destination for me over two years. I'm looking forward to see what it grows to become. read more

You would think that means it's awesome, but only in the sense that it is large. Honestly - I only come here due to necessity. It is on my way home form Buckhead, otherwise I would not usually come here. The place is not overly friendly for a shopper who is not a fan of shopping - the store is not laid out intuitively nor are there any workers anywhere to help if you cannot find anything. The cashiers are nice enough, but overall I try to avoid this store on most occasions. The holiday/seasonal area in the middle is a disaster always. You cannot find anything at all in that area. Don't try - unless you just want candy. The self-checkout is painless unless there is a huge line. read more

I live across the street from this Kroger and I shop here rather frequently. Most of the staff is extremely nice especially one of guys in produce who always says hey and always makes sure I get the best produce that I am looking for. I don't need much help finding anything or shopping, but there is a real short small guy that works at the self checkout and other registers who is a complete a-hole always. He is the only thing I have bad to say about this location. read more

An older, not updated location, the Fountain Oaks Kroger lacks a lot of the amenities you get at newer stores. It appears a bit dated, but they typically have a good selection of groceries and supplies. Both the meat and vegetable selections are solid, if not spectacular. The staff is usually pretty friendly and helpful. A standout is Starr at self checkout in the evenings. This location has both fuel and a Starbucks. It recently lost its bank. read more

They have a wonderful fruit tart pie that, while not as pretty as the one at whole foods, is SO YUMMY and so much cheaper (less than $20). We celebrate birthdays at our company and since I am usually the one bringing the cake, I usually spring for a fruit tart pie when the employee whose birthday it is is more health conscious. read more

5 Stars for a Grocery store? Yep. Because it has two things I love. There are self checkout lines always open with staff always on hand. You can get in and out quickly. Gas. This Kroger has a gas station and the cheapest gas in the area. Add in fuel points for the discount and its win win. Well three things I love. Number 3 being a nicely stocked beer and wine section. I come here often and everyone is very helpful. It has everything you need. Plenty of parking. Even has some other items is the same complex for one stop shopping. A great neighborhood grocery store. I do like the updated stores, however. But, that's not why I logged in to write! I happened to be in this Kroger perusing dinner options. I decided to forgo the BBQ whole chicken for a single grilled chicken breast from the prepared food section. It's a good thing I did! There was a friendly customer who made sure to point out that the "No-Mayo Chicken Salad" was so good. So, I bought some. It truly is delicious! Now, I have to try to re-create this at home. I'm not sure if I'll ever find this in stock after this review! I hope so! It's really yummy. If anyone has a recipe for this, let me know!! No don't go and clean out the inventory, ok? This review is for the online grocery pickup. This used to be my go to location, but after such a bad experience with the online grocery pickup I am changing stores. I made an online pickup order for Sunday between 10:00-11:00. At 10:40 I used to mobile ap to say I was " on my way" which is advised when 15 minutes away. When I arrived at 10:55 I checked into my parking slot as directed. By 11:15 nobody had come out yet, so I called store as the ap states to do if you are still waiting. When I called, the phone hung up as soon as the call went through. I called back again, no answer. I waited 5 more minutes assuming they were probably just busy. Next time I called the store's main phone line and they transferred me through to the online pickup. The person who answered said he was aware I had checked in, but that he was still preparing my order. It was already almost 11:25 and he told me it would take about about 10 minutes. At this point I figured I would be better off just going somewhere else and having them cancel the order. While online grocery pickup has been convenient in the past, it's only worth it when I'm not waiting an hour past my pickup time. read more

In college, I used to love Kroger, even though the closest ones to Tech were all somewhat sketchy. I loved that they had great deals on staples, that they were open 24 hours, and that they had a self-serve check out since I normally wasn't buying all that much (and some of the cashiers were just a little off, particularly late at night). But then I discovered the store brand at Publix, and started paying attention to prices on those and quality of produce, and Kroger got left behind. Now that I live only half a mile from this Kroger, it's growing on me. Here's why: 1) Now that I'm always carrying a car seat, I appreciate the smaller 2-tier buggies, which conveniently fit the car seat in the upper portion, hold the diaper bag in the part by your fit, and still fit quite a bit of groceries in the lower basket. 2) This Kroger has a very large Mexican food section (which I have taken advantage of), a very large Jewish section (which I plan to check for Kosher coke during Passover), and a good-sized organic/natural section. 3) Starbucks - the baristas don't really know what they're doing by Starbucks standards, but if you've got a craving for a simple beverage, they'll do. 4) Gas - you buy $100 in groceries over the course of a month, and you get $.10/gallon off your next gas purchase. Even if you don't spend that much, you get $.03/gallon off with your plus card. Better than nothing. Unfortunately, they can have surprisingly few lines open at critical times. Or they'll be surprisingly picky about which line you can be in when it doesn't seem to matter (as in I had 25 items when it wasn't at all busy, and the lady made me wait behind the FULL shopping cart customer rather than let me go through the express lane... and no one ever showed up in the express lane. And when I did go through the regular lane, the cashier asked if I had a baby in the car seat.... as if anyone would carry around an empty car seat that weighs 20lbs if they didn't have to...). #Yelp365 - 36/365 read more

Produce isn't always fresh, and some times the employees can be rude or won't even help you, at all. Simon is awesome, always kind and hard working. Star is also great, she loves to chat to her customers and I think that's really important. This store used to be 24 hours which was really awesome, but now it's changed from 5am to 1am. Living across the street has been a godsend. All in all if you're lookin for a good basic grocer this Kroger is good, but look elsewhere for quality meats and produce. read more
