Typical Walmart in this part of town. Lines are often long, though the store is overall mostly clean and well-stocked, sometimes you have to search for someone to unlock the glass cases but the staff is usually helpful. The big issue is the women's restroom in the front always looks like a dumpster fire because little boys use it and trash it to heck. The restroom in the back of the store, in contrast, is very well-maintained so I guess the adolescent males stay out of that one. read more

I walked in here at 955 and I had no idea it was closing, but I was sure told so by a rude manager who didn't greet me. It was "get in the line. the store is closed." People don't realize that I don't come there late on purpose. It's just the time I was able to come. How this walmart handles their locked cases is ridiculous. Every single case was open except the one I needed (the toothbrush case). That wouldn't have been an issue if it wasn't for the fact that they don't let any employee open them. I asked 6 employees who told me that the girl who can open them will meet me there. The guys were nice but the girls pretty much brushed me off. I waited a total of 20 minutes to get it opened, but she never came and finally I asked an employee with black glasses and was bald who was extremely kind and finally unlocked it. Grocery Pickup - Do not order groceries to pick up unless you have at least 30-45 minutes to wait in your car. They used to be good but sometime in mid 2024 they something changed. There's one guy trying to bring out 2 cars' orders at a time so there's about 10 cars waiting. This is ridiculous. They need a manager. read more

There is an employee there that is a manager by the named Eureka that has absolutely no customer service skills and an attitude for absolutely no reason, I have no idea why or who put her in a manager position even the employees on at the time said they don't know why they made he a manager she is to young and has an attitude (their words) and one guy said to another employee see I told you that girl was going to be a problem so not only dose she not treat customers well she is apparently not well like by employees either. So the issue was the was an item that online says it is in stock and isle # and everything but when I get there the items is not in stock the shelf was empty item was around $10 so I got the next equivalent witch was about $12 so I was seeing if they would price match being the one I drove there for was not in stock even though is stats online it is, immediately she had an attitude and was like I could price match something from another store or same brand in our store but not a different brand then I went to explain and show her on my phone how it says it is in stock online and I wasted my time coming there it did not get to that point as she would not let me talk never mind showing her my phone, she said I don't do anything for on hand orders either it's on the shelf or it's not and that is the price of the item take it or leave it, I probably still would have bought them at the higher price as I need them but after he attitude I was like I am going to take my business elsewhere she said fine and the o said the is great customer service she replied it is it's it thank you. So I said okay j will be calling corporate and put reviews with you name and she said you do that. I went to buy a vacuum and found one I liked for $149 as the sticker said. When The team lead Terrance came over he was very rude and told me he didn't care what the sticker said the vacuum was $199 because there was another sticker. I've attached pics. It felt like he was trying to rip me off. I asked for a manager upfront and was kept waiting for 15 minutes. No one show'd and we left. Never, Ever order anything from Light Life Inc through Walmart. They have the worst return policy ever. I returned a Lift Chair purchased March 26th.I returned it in less than 30 days( April 25th) Never Opened, it took them that long to set up a pick-up. Its always packed in this Walmart, not sure why since this one is one of three that serves this community, but I`ve gone in and there were 2-3 people in line come back towards the register 5 mins later and each line is 10-15 people deep. I work a part time night shift job at the airport and this is the closest Walmart to the airport. They close at 11, and about 10:30pm they start announcing they are closing in 30,25,20,15 etc minutes. I generally find what I`m looking for, and anything I`ve needed an item that Walmart keeps locked up in a case, a clerk or manger gets their quickly once they are paged to the area. read more

The customer service in the home electronics department was beyond unacceptable. I witnessed several customers ask a gentleman with long plaits to assist with getting things out of the case. He instructed me along with the other customers that a lady would be over to assist us. My question to management why would you have only two people working in the department and only have one person with access to the cases. I as the customer should not have to wait 25 minutes to receive customer service to spend my hard earn money. I don't live in this area so I am passing through but my experience was subpar and I hope the general manager of this location trains their staff better. Policies and procedures definitely need to be altered to be more conducive for the shopper's experience. read more

This location had one poor lady doing layaway and pick up on a Saturday night. Entirely too busy for this store to have no help knowing you advertise this service. I will never use this at this location again. I rather drive all the way to Peachtree City. The worker apologized repeatedly and was very pleasant despite her having absolutely no help. I waited an hour to get my stuff not because there was a line but because the people ahead of me had a huge tv they could not locate. A crying shame. The store was a disaster area across from the money center. Stuff was everywhere like a tornado hit it. The handicap hover arounda are out dated for a new store. Never charged amd no power steering. Went to this Walmart twice so far with my fiance and had no issues. Even when there was a power outage, the employees did a great job of keeping everything fresh and well stocked. Both times we went in, the store was inviting and very organized and clean. We only encountered really nice, friendly, helpful workers in all the departments we needed help in. This is the second or third time during this pandemic that I have arrived at the store 10 to 15 minutes before closing to grab one item. Tonight I was leaving the airport and grabbing floss on the way home arrived at 10:51 PM they're post to closing hour is 11 PM. I was turned away stating they're closed. When I inquired why I was told they do not allow anyone to enter 15 minutes before the posted closing hour. If I could give this place a negative star I would. Please don't waste your money going to this store, especially if you're not from this area. I purchased a TV for my daughter's dorm room on 8/19/2023. When I plugged it into the outlet the screen wouldn't come on. I took the TV back to the same location (Store #06998) for a refund/exchange. Maurice (with the dreadlocks) the Team Lead for electronics told me the TV looked liked it has been tampered with by the way the barcode on the backside of the TV was looking. I told Maurice as a customer, we don't look for the way a barcode is supposed to be aligned straight when we purchase a product. Customers only want whatever product we purchase with our hard earned money, is for the product to be undamaged and working properly. Even with the receipt showing that the TV was purchased 2 hours ago, he told me that they couldn't accept the TV because it looked like it was tampered with. I'm like look either I get a new TV, a refund, or somebody is going to get they a** whipped. So finally, a guy named Andre (I guess the Asst. Manager) told Maurice the Team Lead to exchange the TV. Maurice as a Team Lead, do your damn job. Everybody ain't out here trying to scam businesses out of money. The lady who checked our receipt the first time we purchased the busted TV, told us over and over again for about 3 minutes to keep your receipt and take a picture of it just incase something happens to the TV in first 30 days, it can be exchanged or given a refund. I knew then something about this place wasn't right. The two customer service cashiers were not friendly or even spoke when we walked in. I showed her a picture of the screen of what it looked like when I plugged it in. She talking about it don't look like the same TV. Trick we are in a small a** dorm room, it's the same busted TV you guys sold us. I believe they were in on some kind of scheme that the electronics department is running, so when the registers are counted down at the end of the shift and the register is over, they split the money and talk about it after work. This Walmart, along with College Park, Howell Mill and Ashby are using Covid-19 as an excuse not to give customers refunds for items, closing customer service and turning customers away! The manager at Ashby did try and help she gave me a refund for one item because I asked to speak with her but with an online item she couldn't get it right so she called an employee who was supposed to be able to help. It seemed like I was going to finally get a refund for this item, until the employee, looked at the small box that the item came in and declared she couldn't return it because the label wouldn't fit, my mouth dropped because I had never heard of such a thing! She said I needed the rest of the packaging that it came in though the box had the barcode. I didn't think to ask her if they had a box in the back or somewhere that she could put it in probably because I was in shock that she said that! But I thought about it after leaving the store on foot because this was the 3rd Walmart that I'd dealt with trying to return Christmas decor, some of which was damaged! But they weren't hearing that; it was just, no, we are not accepting any Christmas decor, another shocker because I've been able to return everything to Walmart that I needed to return. I've considered Walmart my home away from, particularly the one on Old Nat'l hwy, they, the manager, told me that I couldn't return it over the phone. She said corporate has them to do this but....it's not on their website anywhere and I tried to tell her that the website was updated March of 2021 but she kept talking over me saying for the two years she's been working there they were not allowed to accept returned seasonal items, not even some Christmas themed leggings! At Cleveland Ave Walmart Eastpoint, I was led to believe that a manager was there but it was only the team leader and I spoke with her after waiting nearly 30 minutes for her to show. I told another lady who they refused also to wait with me. But when the team leader finally came out, and the lady called her sister or sister girl etc., she easily gave her a refund. The lady had bought her item on New Years a holiday and it had a Christmas label on it! So the team leader disappeared after that and once I found out she was only a lead, I said is the manager here? I was misled into thinking that she actually was, so in all I waited about an hour standing in the front of the store, following people to ask them where the manager was only to end up talking to the lead again who said the item that she received from the other customer was not a Christmas item and that she had one herself! And I told her about the Christmas tag so she came up with another excuse. So I practically begged her to take my items back because I told her I had come on the bus plus I had been standing up there all evening and that's when she blamed her manager and said she'd get into trouble. I will continue in a different review. I didn't want to make it too, too long, lol but I can't seem to pst twice for the same store. But I haven't been shopping at Walmart too much lately and that's because of Amazon-I'm able to get free shipping now! I have no plans to return to the Cleveland Ave Walmart in the near future, hopefully never! And I've given so much of my money over to Walmart period and this is how I'm treated! Amazon is probably going to put them out of business anyway or at least cause many of their stores to be closed, they need to take a page or two from Publix!!-they truly seem to care about their customers! Walmart also just started a paid delivery system like Amazon to compete but Amazon has some advantages for low incomers which is why I've preferred them lately. Night. they close down the all but 2 or 3 registers as the store prepares for closing. 30 minutes to close and there are employees wandering around looking like zombies when they should be on assigned open registers to help clear out remaining customers. I'm literally standing in line behind a woman who says though she spent 1.5 hours shopping, she's not willing to wait 30 minutes in line. She abandoned her cart right here in line. And I don't blame her!! But, it is on Cleveland Ave in East Point...can't expect much. Update: customer service closes 3 HOURS before the store closes. 3 mf-ing hours! If I could give this store zero stars I would. I originally received a gift card to Walmart. I purchased something that didn't fit, did an exchange and received another gift card in its place. I asked the associate at customer service who issued me the gift card which line I could use it in. She told me any line. Decided to pick up a few groceries with the extra money. Big mistake. The long lines are horrible. People cut in front of customers who have been standing in line patiently waiting. The workers randomly abandon their registers without a replacement leaving long lines of customers waiting. Apparently, gift cards only work in the registers manned by a human. So after waiting in line for 15 minutes, I get to the self check out register only to be told I can not use my card there. They then proceeded to unbag my groceries. I went back to customer service to check out. They told me they didn't have a scale, so I had to go back to the regular line. Another 15 minute wait! Only good thing I will say is that the workers are very polite and seem to keep their cool when customers get upset. Which probably happens a lot due to how this place is set-up. Next time someone gives me a Walmart gift card - I'm giving it back. LOL read more

I like this location a lot, usually quick lines not too long wait time to check out. Items always in stock when I come. And if not stocked already you can see employees opening new items quick to refill the shelves. Customer service is pretty great for a Walmart, everyone seems to actually want to help out. Drove across town early this morning to buy an item from the electronics department that showed in-stock for their location online. We got there and looked for the item ourselves. We didn't see it. So then I asked an associate to see if she knew where the item was located. I asked, and she immediately said, "No." She didn't know where the item was, or if they even had the item. She was working in the electronics department and could care less whether we found the item. I continued by asking her if she could call a member of management over to help. Reluctantly, she did. The manager showed up and asked about the item I was looking for. Without even batting an eye, the manager said that, "a bunch of orientals came in here and bought them all up." When I told her that it said they had the items instock online, she said, "I know it says we have 3 but when people put the items in the buggy and walk out the garden department without paying, it doesn't come out the system." I would imagine that Wal-Mart has a system in place for inventory and keeping it accurate. It goes without saying that they're probably overworked and underpaid, but good grief! I couldn't even be mad properly because my expectations for Wal-Mart are so low. Just another bad walmart experience. read more

Poor management staff at the cash registers, not only are some of them very rude, the lines are always long, and I have even witnessed employees begging to go on lunch break. Today was no different than what I have come to expect from this Walmart, and I went in a discovered a children's weighted blanket located in a spot with a price tag of 14.97. During checkout, I saw that it was raining up to 24.93. When I asked the cashier about it, she proceeded to take the necessary steps to check the price. When it came back at the 24 dollars, I asked if she could check with a manager about the difference. She did, and instead of the manager coming over introducing herself and explain why she can or cannot override the price, she proceeded to tell the cashier, " I'm not going over there. I know exactly where that's at, and I know it's that price I was just over there" so there were several instances where the pricing could have been corrected. Instead, it was not, I then asked if she could come over with me to see it, and she said I would have to wait, left, and never returned. Needless, I have no blanket but have discovered the poor leadership at this location and have come to despise shopping here. read more

I had no idea what to look for but the woman named Patricia at the fitting room help us find the right size. She went back and forth about 3 times to find the right size for my neice. What's not to like about this Walmart? It's a great place for people watching if you find yourself bored. Lots of people stroll in here at 4:00 in the afternoon shopping in their pajamas. Women low-key prostituting and shopping for "clients". Grown ass men and women playing with toys all over the store. Hilarious. This Walmart is fairly new. It is in East Point and right next to the official East-Point/City of Atlanta border. Typical Walmart store for the most part. Despite the ratchetness that goes on in here, the store was actually well stocked. The aisles are wider than other locations which makes shopping a little less hectic. One thing that I will never buy at any of the Walmarts are the meats. You can go to other places and purchase meat (ground beef and steak especially) at a significantly lower price. Due to its location, the store is always armed with security even during the daytime. The door greeters and asset protection are also strict in checking receipts to make sure that you purchased your items. They're so serious in their demeanor during their search. I felt like I was being inspected by the TSA at the security gate in an airport the way they were rummaging through my bags. Damn, lighten up y'all. Crack a smile or something to make me wanna come back. read more

I live in Va-Hi, so all Walmart Supercenters are about 15 min away. I ventured to this Walmart one day bc I was so fed up with the other accessible Walmarts. I was glad that I made the trip. This was my second time visiting this location, and I will not venture to any other Walmarts as long as this one stands. I went around 10:30 on a Saturday morning. Parking is terrible per usual, but I finally found a spot. I love this location bc there are always ample employees within a few yards of each other. They don't just ignore you when they see you standing there waiting on help. I stood at the paint counter no longer than 5 min, which included someone asking if I needed help, and for the help to arrive. Every section is always perfectly organized and fully stocked. I have never been to any other Walmart as well stocked and organized as this location. I love it. read more

If there was a patience award to give, this Wal-Mart would have gotten it from me today. A young woman rang me up and when the total came to an amount I didn't expect, I questioned it. She rang the items up twice for me, and even had a manager ring them again. In the end, I had 6 items, and once the two small ones were in the bag, I completely forgot about them. They did too, but it was because they were focused on addressing "my questioning of the total." The people behind me were so annoyed, yet the two cashiers were so patient with me, and I'm sure with everyone else. Very nice store. Well kept, well stocked, clean, spacious, and super friendly employees. I haven't had a time yet when I couldn't find someone to help me, and they actually seemed liked they wanted to help. I've even observed staff being friendly amongst themselves and having appropriate, work related conversations that stop when customers approach. Imagine that. Shopping here is pleasant, and you always know you're safe because the SWAT (yes, there's always an ARMED officer at each entrance, and sometimes it's a SWAT officer) officers' presence just sorta makes you feel that way. It's a total fun time. I mean, it's STILL Wallyworld. It's just Wallyworld Gone Urban. Now, close your eyes and IMAGINE THAT, why don't cha? LOLOLOL! That whole "People of Walmart" series has NADA on THIS right here. Trust me! ROFL! Wow this Walmart is very huge !! It is a super center . Bad thing they are not open 24/7 which sucks . In the plaza they have other places like little Caesar , shoe show , a nail shop , tmobile , & mc Donald's . A lot of parking spaces . The store was very clean & everything was put in the correct place . My only issue is the pick up in the store . I ordered something & it said the store had it in stock , I waited 8 hours for the pickup email & it wasn't ready . Finally went up there they stated they get orders in daily & what I ordered was schedule to be on the truck so that is why it showed in stock . This will be my main walmart for right now . I hate Walmart. Pretty much all Walmarts. This store is just like any other horrible Walmart except just a bit worse because the lines are always so long and slow and the store is under staffed. It seems management is aware they can get away with this type of poor service in the more vulnerable neighborhoods. With that said, I still find myself heading over to this store a couple times a month cause I'm in the area often and each time I go in I convince myself 'this time might be different.' It's not.
