Went to a drag show brunch themed Lady Gaga and it was super fun! Great performances, even though some queens didn't know the words or have dances ready. The service was terrible- we didn't get our food for two hours and never got a refill on drinks. Regardless of my experience try it for yourself and see if you like it!

I visited the Underground for the first time during The Arts Atlanta First Friday event. I really enjoyed the collective effort to offer something for everyone. There were multiple rooms with different art/entertainment in each. We went into a rage room, a poetry room, a cypher room, a performance room with a rapper featured and more! We also danced on the dance floor when we got tired of room hopping lol. There were multiple vendors with a wide variety of offerings so you won't go hungry or thirsty! They got the bag...well they at least got mine! Value: Only thing that I was surprised about was that, each vendor charge over $12+ and up on average per tent. I was shocked that the candied fruit on a stick was $29 for 2 sticks . Wow for fruits so, I had to try at least 1 which was 1/2 the price. Entertainment was awesome, I love the young Asian guy rapping & singing. He is very talented! I loved this event & may go back next year.

There was a live show featuring the traditional ceremonial dragon dance, which was exciting to watch. They even taught the crowd a few Chinese phrases, which made it interactive and fun. Thankfully, the rain cleared up and the weather stayed dry, making it easy to relax and enjoy everything the event had to offer.

The metro mall is similar to a small indoor flea market type of setup, with a small variety of different mom and pop businesses in it, mostly catering to the urban scene downtown. It's never been a "good" area, but these days it's pretty ridiculous. The last time I was there 6 people tried to bum money off of me and one guy swore I fathered his last wives baby (?!?). I've been told by City workers that the Mayor allegedly tells folks to "steer" tourists complete away from this area and more toward the Aquarium/Park area a few blocks away. No city leader has ever seemed to really try to tackle the problem. I guess they figure if they keep places like this the way they are, they attract people who would otherwise venture into those tourist areas and make the City look bad. As someone else said though, the security manager is INCREDIBLE - a no B.S. type of Robocop kind of guy who will kick the ghetto queens and thieves out like a sack of potatoes, even using his stun gun if need be (there are videos online of this - wonderful). We need 1000 more of him throughout downtown, that's all I can say. He deserves a metal. Anyway - not much a "review", but the fact is, there's little reason for everyday people to go to the Metro Mall. It serves a sub-niche of clientele, which imo does not include conventioneers or tourists; you have other options. Unless you like to practice your survival skills.

Parking on the street here is super cheap something like a dollar or something an hour, which is incredible compared to Chicago it almost $15-$26 an hour depending on where you are. This area is so super cute and quaint. It has some of the best shops ever and it also has some great eating options where you want to sit down or you just wanna grab something and walk around as well. There is even a huge courtyard area where you can sit outside and have a laptop. Have a meeting and enjoy your coffee as well. I came here several times during my visit to Atlanta for both meals as well as shopping as well as some service work too I would definitely be coming back here again and look forward to more of the empty spaces being filled up with more stores and more food options

Everyone was friendly and helpful, but there's only ONE WAY to pay for parking in the garage. There's no app, tap to pay, or cash accepted. So if you don't have a physical card with a functioning strip, you're not getting out of the garage! And restaurants only validate for 2 hours even though 0-3hrs costs $5. If you're over by 1 min...(even if traffic is backed up and it takes almost 10 minutes to get to the exit) you have to pay...with a physical card. A huge bummer. The system needs to be updated with multiple ways to pay ‍

Getting to the mall I knew it was going to be crazy as the parking lot was loaded. For a mall that doesn't have that many stores, it was loaded. As always, somehow, I ended up spending money. lol. Manhattan: This store always gets the best of me. The urban street wear selections are always spot on and they usually have a good sale or buy one get one going on. The store is always clean and the clothes are in order by size. Though the store isn't huge, they make great use of space and the size I need is always easy to find. I went in, hit the jean rack as they had some great selections out with various washes and rip patterns so I couldn't pass them up. Found my size. Got in line and was out the door. The staff is always friendly and help to ensure the shopping experience is smooth. CitiTrend: You can't leave Greenbriar without hitting Cititrends. As it was the day before Christmas, the store was super loaded. The clothes were all over the place in the men's section, however, it wasn't horrible. You could tell people had been shopping all day and the staff was doing their best to keep the store in order. It didn't take me too long before I found a few things I wanted. lol. I walked the entire men's section. Grabbed a few sweatshirts and headed to the register. I love the register area as it always has some extra quick pick goodies. While in line, I grabbed a few hair care items I saw and was on my way. The cashier was efficient and super nice. She greeted me, smiled the entire time, and wished me a Merry Christmas as I departed. Overall, though I didn't want to spend any money at Greenbriar, I got some great deals on some great items as a whole.

I went to pick up some prescriptions, but 2 of them weren't ready, so I waited for about 15 minutes or so and came back to the cashier to pick them up. That's when I was told their system was down and they couldn't finish processing my order. Since I use public transit for the handicapped and I had a few minutes before pickup time, I asked the lady at the counter how long it would take for the system to come back on line and she said it would take 15-20 minutes. Since I had the time, I told her I'd like to wait. After 20 additional minutes, an announcement came over the store's PA system saying that all transactions were cash-only since the store's entire system had crashed. Realizing that I had ample cash to pay for my order, I approached the check-out counter and informed the cashier that I had sufficient funds to pay cash, but she still refused to fill my order. When I protested that I was using para-transit services, and I would have to make a second trip, somebody called out from behind the counter, "Ahhh, he doesn't have a car", and everybody called out from behind the counter, "Ahhhhh" all in unison! I have never in all my 70 years been shown such extreme contempt and disrespect for the elderly and disabled such as myself. I have already moved all my prescriptions to another pharmacy, and I will never shop at another CVS ever again. I would strongly advise all others to do the same.
