I ordered a cake online for pickup at this location. I added additional notes to change the chocolate cake to yellow cake. I also verified with the bakery prior to placing the order. The next day I picked up the cake and it looked exactly like the picture. I was pleased with the cake until we got ready to slice it. I come here if I need to pick up something really quick, not for the full on supermarket experience. They have a limited selection in terms of groceries but will have most things you need. I also come here frequently for their wings. They have these non breaded wings that are 5 for $3.49.. great deal. Their pharmacy is quick and easy to pick up prescription. Employees don't all wear masks. For example a maskless staffer hung out next to the supposedly disinfected carts. Also, the woman in customer service wears her mask on her chin with her nose and mouth uncovered, and is rude if you ask about it. The store manager was non-committal when I brought it to his attention. The Publix 2 miles up the road at North Druid Hills Rd and Cheshire Bridge Rd have all the floor staff wearing masks and, in general, the store seems far more professionally run. read more

Well, it's your local neighborhood grocery store. For Woodland Hills community members, it's right down the street in the same parking lot as Rain (Thai food). We go to Rain pretty frequently and so it's pretty convenient to be able to head over and pick up a few things that we need. Like any of your trusted supermarkets they have pretty much all the things that you can be looking for as a homeowner. They do have a surprisingly large prepared food section including a lot of sweets if you're into that. They don't have a great fresh produce area and their meats/seafood is pretty lacking. I'd rather drive over the Whole Foods on Briarcliff to get those things but I know I'll be paying a premium over there! Fast quick in and out type place with plenty of parking on the outside. 4 for convenience but 3 overall for the quality of produce. read more

This Publix only has two people at the counter making sandwiches with 8-9 people in line. While one of them Is making online sandwiches d the other is taking a call from the store manager. I would leave zero stars if I could. Unfornately only some us get a hour lunch not spending in line waiting for sandwiches. I really like shopping at this Publix, I have been coming to it since I first moved to the city 5 years ago. Sometimes the selection isn't the best at night in categories of the deli foods: soups, chicken, side items, and etc. which I recommend not trying to get after 7pm. I shop here for special items like chicken, deli soups, teas, sauces, and bread usually don't go pass those things. Its a Publix, and I wanted peaches, and they are the closest, to where I am working so I popped in This Publix was crowded at 8am in the morning. It was weird becasue as busy as it was, there was only one register open. The manger walked by and saw the 20 of us standing on line and called for the customer service desk person to check some of us out. I love when that happens. I only went to the produce department, and my peaches were ripe and fresh, so I can't speak in general about the store. I will go again, so stay tuned for an update. read more

Not so much good for me on cruising the crowd, but everyone here is friendly (staff-wise) if not super-efficient. They are definitely low on the hot food/deli selections, as others have noted, especially compared to my fave Publix at Peachtree Battle or other go-to at The Peach. Easy parking, which is nice. Very solid produce selection, though a little skimpy on some "basics," like their meat section. If I'm in the area, good option for the go-to staples I need all the time (eggs, cheese, etc). read more

I came in for one reason only: the fried chicken. Even though I had been eating nonstop since I arrived in Atlanta, I had to have some fried chicken for snacking. So we stopped into the nearest Publix and of course I couldn't help but wander the large aisles filled with delicious food and specialty products. If I had my choice I would have bought a week's worth or groceries and cooked at home but that was not the case. We had meals planned already and reservations. I still took a gander of what Publix had to offer. I do appreciate a good grocery store. They had a ton of free recipe cards for taking (think Blue Apron type) and I couldn't resist buying some Meditteranean spiced chickpeas. As for the fried chicken, it was hot from the deli. I'm becoming a bigger fan of Publix each time I visit one. Although I've moved four times during the last three years, somehow I always ended up living closest to a Kroger. Naturally, I became a regular at Kroger, but I have to admit that Publix stores are generally nicer. I also love that Publix stores have cooking demos and offer samples of what they're making, along with recipe cards for those who want to try making the dish at home. This particular Publix is not conveniently located on my way home from work, but it isn't too far from the office. Recently, I had to pick up a few things on the way to a friend's house. Although it was around 7 pm on a Friday evening and I thought it would be busier, I was able to find a parking spot that was not too far from the Publix entrance fairly quickly. Although I had never been to this Publix before, the smallish size of this location made it easy to find the things that I needed. I grabbed some snacks and 2-liter bottles of Coke Zero, which happened to be "Buy 1, Get 1 Free." Sweet. Then, I walked over to an aisle which happened to be free at that very moment. I was literally in and out of this Publix in less than ten minutes! Overall, this Publix gets 4 stars based solely on this one experience. Although I usually prefer to get several trips to grocery stores under my belt before reviewing, I honestly don't foresee visiting this one again anytime soon. Just when I thought I had written enough about grocery stores (Publix in particular) I was challenged by Lisa B. after she reviewed this location earlier this month. I don't come here often, but there are about 4 different Publix's within 7 miles of my house and sometimes I change up my routine to keep life interesting. Sad, I know, but I digress... This is another one of the smaller store designs (like the one on North Ave.) and it works for the neighborhood. I was so happy to see them renovate this shopping center and even more glad when Publix became an anchor tenant. As Lisa B. said, the service in the deli isn't that great. Sometimes I'll go about an hour before they close and the selection of hot takeout food is nonexistent... usually on a day when I have been craving Mardi Gras wings. :) Now that I think about it, I usually see cute guys here whenever I visit. Fortunately it's not as cruisey as the Ansley Mall Publix. Just some eye candy while picking up some minor sundries and other items. read more

This store is clean and well organized. Those are the good points. On to the bad. This is the only Publix I have been to that doesn't have shopping carts inside the entrance of the store or inside the store itself. That irritates me because I always have to go outside to find the carts hidden behind a brick wall. There was only one cash register open on a busy Friday. I was in line behind a bunch of people stocking up for a picnic for at least 100 people (maybe I'm exaggerating - Do 15 boxes of chicken feed 100 people?). I don't blame the people in line. They were friendly and working fast. I do blame the cashier for not calling the manager to request that another line be opened. There were a lot of people in line. Most of us had less than 10 items. Finally, someone at the service desk called for the next person in line (which was me) and the girl behind me ran to him. She is lucky that I am not a confrontational person. That doesn't mean that I didn't have thoughts of teaching her a lesson though. I thought about leaving, but that would not have saved me time in the end. The store is very attractive and organized, but I can hardly ever find stuff that I need. Their greeting card section is a big as the frozen food section (which sucks). The deli section is near the entrance of the store (like the Shallowford Road store). That tends to cause a crowd on the first aisle. Last, there are no shopping cart returns and the parking lot sucks, so it is a pain to return the cart to the store unless you can find a spot very close to the store. read more

I only gave 2 stars because the ladies at the checkout register were very polite, kind and helpful. I went in to get some fresh salmon on Tuesday 10/25/2021 at around 9 am. There were 2 people in the seafood section a white male and an Asian female. I walked up and was asked by the white male how I could be helped. I advised him that I wanted 2 Salmon fillets that were already cut and displayed in front of me. I was asked by the man if I had some more shopping to do and was told to come back when I was done shopping because he was in the middle of something. I immediately walked away in the middle of him speaking because I was in awe and didn't want to act a fool in that publix. I definitely would have asked to speak with the store manager if I wasn't in a rush to go to work. I do feel as though if I were another race other than African American I would have been serviced right away. & The sad part is the publix is up the street from me. I drive by three other grocery stores and 2 other Publix locations just to come to the Cheshire Bridge location. Thee is approachable, kind, remembers you, goes out of his way to keep you informed or to call if there will be a delay. This is so rare! This is a smaller Publix and thus has less of a selection of available products. However, in general, employees are polite and personable, especially folks at the customer service desk. There is a crabby older lady at the bakery, but she'll get the job done albeit with grunts and growls. Everyone else is pleasant. The only thing that annoys me here is that the folks working in the deli and prepared foods don't wear gloves, and a few women working there have rolled their eyes when I've asked them to wear gloves. Since moving back to this area, this is my go-to Publix once again, mostly because I can walk here which also helps keep you from shopping for more things than you need. It's definitely improved in the past few years. The customer service isn't like up to the level of some Publix stores, but it's waaaaaaay better than it was. They also seem to have more unique things which I think is helped by the Hispanic population in the area. Back in July when I had a bad sunburn, everyone kept telling me to get an aloe leaf, which was proving impossible at the usual grocery stores (despite also then living in an area with similar demographics) and I noticed today they have them here. So now I know I'm set next summer when I have my inevitable bad sunburn. The pharmacy is also super useful to have - I'm not sure how well known it is but there are a couple of antibiotics, high blood pressure, and diabetes medications that Publix will fill for free: http://www.publix.com/pharmacy-wellness/pharmacy/pharmacy-services/free-medication-program It's not the biggest grocery store in the world, but I find it actually has a better selection of things than the Prado store up in Sandy Springs, which is another small one. I've been a fan of Publix ever since I moved to Atlanta 5 years ago... This location is a lot smaller than your average Publix's. The parking lot can be a pain - especially on the weekends. The employees are typically friendly and very helpful. The people at the Pharmacists are especially helpful when looking for over-the-counter medication. One thing I hate more than anything are grocery stores that have a ton of registers but only have one or two open. You won't have that problem here. The only thing that I still question is the Deli section. I'm a fan of the Publix subs (who isn't??), and during one situation, my sandwich had a questionable green spot on it. After throwing it away, I called the deli manager and instead of an apology, she just went on about how it was impossible. Danielle in the deli department was a saint ! I called a head to ensure the deli was opened so I could get a sandwich, but when I arrived they were closing down. I was super upset as I had took a cab here, but the first employee I spoke to Insisted they was closed. Another employee Danielle (my hero) stepped up and said she would make my sandwich. She understood the miscommunication and simply next time ask for deli to order ahead. Not only did she take her time and pull out things that had already been put away and make my food, she was personable! She was from my hometown. I just want to say thank you Danielle !
