Tacos de Barbacoa con salsa guacamole
    Thomas S.

Even you first walk in and see the check out lines it looks like another mercado. turn to the right and walk past the paraderia counter and you'll find a small seating area and a counter with a rather simple menu. in my book a taqueria is judged by the quality of their al pastor and the barbacoa. it's safe to try both here, you won't be disappointed. For a slight sugar rush the aguas frescas, especially the horchata, make a phenomenal addition to your meal. if you don't want tacos the platillos are also delicioso and most seem to come with arroz y frijoles. my friend tried the Mixtas - a fajita combination that looked and smelled wonderful. Everything was muy bien and i will be back.

This is for the taqueria that is on one side of the supermarket: We came here 10 weeks ago for lunch after doing a Yelp search for tacos and finding Carniceria Los Pinos on the list of results. Parking can be challenging, but I got a space right in front of the store, and parking is free. We walked in, right into the supermarket area. The taqueria part is on the right side as customers enter, and it's easy to see all the tables in the dining area and the order window. We got into a line with four guys ahead of us. The employee behind the order counter was quick and efficient. The menu is rather simple, with tacos, tortas, burritos, quesadillas, sopes, fajitas, caldos (soups), and Platillo Especial ( Special Plates). I ordered 3 pastor tacos, R ordered 3 carne asada tacos, and we each ordered Jarritos bottle sodas. We sat down at a table that was one of the farthest away from the order counter, and our number was called within 10 minutes to pick up our food at the counter. The tacos looked good, with the meat, chopped onions and cilantro in them, and each taco had two corn tortillas. Wedges of lime and a small cup of spicy green sauce were included with the three tacos on a styrofoam tray. After taking our first bites of the tacos, R and I both agreed that these tacos didn't taste good and lacked flavor. Our tacos ended up tasting more like lime and green sauce tacos. There are so many good to great restaurants within a 2 mile radius from here that have much better tasting meats in their tacos that we won't be coming back to this place.

    Menudo strong ugly smell

Horrible place. I have been eating here since 2011. This place has gone down in quality and in service. I have never ask for a refund in my life. This place had to be the first one. The food gave me a strong ugly smell. This dish is very tradition in Mexico and it has to be very well detail clean.

This store is very clean and uncrowded. Easy parking in front. Lots of meats, a snack bar with Mexican and Venezuelan food. The fresh bread is really good. If you ever want BIG size hamburger buns this is the place to get them!

Alot of carne asada meat but was tough

Came here on 12/2/20 Wednesday 3:12pm and was the only customer here and ordered 2 carne asada tacos. I sat waiting for 10minutes and asked what is taking so long and they forgot my order. I'd understand if there was a line or alot of customers that it could happen, but how does this happen when I am the only one here. What's worse is I hear the cook laughing in the back because he forgot to make my order. Pretty much a typical carne asade where they double layer the tortilla and add your choice of meat. One good thing is that they added a lot of meat but the carne asada was a bit tough. Considering they raised the price of their tacos to $2.09 to $2.59 I definitely don't think it's worth it. Overall just average tacos but a knock off a star because they forgot my order. Won't be coming back here.

Best authentic tacos in at least metro Atlanta. I've been to several from Kennesaw, Johns Creek, Buford Highway, downtown Atlanta and these are definitively better. Very unassuming place (hole in the wall) but don't let that scare you away from the reward within. Barbacoa and asada are the go to. Red salsa (when they have it) and green salsa (very spicy) are incredible.

Let me start by saying I really want to give this place 5 stars. The food is easily 5 stars, but my only drawback is how dirty it is to eat in. The tables arent cleaned often and the floor looks like it hasnt been mopped in ages. Usually aesthetics do not bother me but because I wanted to eat in and try all the accoutrement that are at the bar I pushed through it. I ordered the chorizo taco and the cubana torta. The chorizo was seasoned great. A tad on the salty side but once you put lime juice and salsa on it it cuts the saltiness to a perfect level. I've never had a torta despite eating mexican food numerous times. I stopped at Tortas Locas and found out they were put of Tortas ingredients( this is like popeyes running out of chicken, which happens but still...) The menu here doesnt tell you what comes on each torta so you have to ask. I asked after the fact so as not to hold up the line. It had mayo, tomatoes lettuce, ham, hot dog?, and a scrambled egg mixture. It sandwichy on the inside with a crunchy outside of the bread. The flavors melded well together. I regretted not getting a chorizo torta because I feel like that meat would have gone excellently on the sandwich. All in all 5 stars for food, but cleanliness could use a bump.

barbacoa & strip steak tacos! highly recommend!!

Blink and you'll miss it! This awesome hole in the wall nests in the grocery store Carniceria Los Pinos, to the right middle corner of the store once you walk in by the registers. FOOD: 5 HOOLY SMOKES DO THEY KNOW HOW TO COOK THEIR MEAT! I ordered the steak strip and barbacoa taco and boy, did I order the right things! I would assume, however, that anything on the menu is probably delicious. The meats were thoroughly marinated and so cooked through, tender to the chew, and spicy to the taste! My husband ordered the cubano, which was filled with loads (and variety) of meat that we knew it'd be a good cubano right off the bat! SERVICE: 5 Quick and easy, you order at the counter and pick up your food from the counter when they call you. The guy at the register was still training, but he was quick about asking questions and very polite. We enjoyed our interactions with the staff even though there was a tiny bit of language barrier.

    Burrito is no joke..

I have been here a few times and I usually get something different each time. I would suggest ordering any type of meat except chicken. The carne asada and barbacoa are good choices. I have had the burritos, tacos, and empanadas. I have tried them in asada, barbacoa, and chicken. Everything was good except the chicken, it is bland, and it's like mildly seasoned boiled chicken. That's my warning. Other than that this spot is great, the burritos are large and an excellent value for the money. There are a lot of great taco spots in Atlanta and this is another one to add to the list when I'm on this side of town.

Great food, friendly service and ample parking. Pizza was great, tacos pretty good and the carnicería had plenty of good cuts.

A trip around the world and a walk down memory lane…read more It's been decades since I stepped foot inside the Buford Highway Farmers Market, and being back felt like a beautiful reunion. The last time I walked these aisles, I was with my mama, Donna Theresa. So much has changed since then, yet the soul of this place remains as vibrant as ever. It feels more expansive than I remember. A true global treasure tucked right here in the city. I'm still obsessed with how they organize the aisles by country. In just one afternoon, I traveled from Korea to Eastern Europe to Central America, no passport required! I was officially "team sample" the moment they offered! Unlike the heavy, sugary profile of traditional American cakes, these were a masterclass in balance. I tried the Neapolitan, a stunning phyllo-layered creation that was light, buttery, and perfectly textured. But the Lemon Cream Cake? It stole the entire show. It looked picture-perfect on the shelf, and the taste was even better. It was so bright, airy, and just the right amount of decadence. Coming back here wasn't just a grocery trip; it was a win for my palate and my heart. Now that I'm back in the area, you can bet this is becoming a regular stop on my rotation. The portions are "flash frozen", and arrive thawed (not frozen) with the dry ice completely evaporated. I was reassured that the meals were perfectly safe to eat, and this was standard. Which I thought odd, bc after subscribing to a dozen different meal services over the last decade, there has never been an issue with proper packaging and/or all the ice melting... Considering the mailing fee is $94, one would expect that they would have the process streamlined and safe. I should have listened to my intuition, but I didn't, I trusted someone on the other end telling me that the food was safe. Ten days later I ended up in the hospital with Salmonella poisoning. On the HCG diet protocol, you only consume 500 or less calories per day, it was pretty easy to trace the source back to a chicken dish I had eaten 12 hours prior to becoming deathly ill. The icing on the cake was that there was ZERO response from the company when I shared with them that I had been given a reportable diagnosis of a food born contagion. The Health Department and CDC have both been notified, and when I called Jessica to discuss after radio silence of nearly 2 weeks, she asked, "did they test your food to verify the poisoning?" SERIOUSLY??? Ummmm... yes they did test it from my stool sample that was cultured at the hospital. Thanks for the empathetic ear. WTF. Bravo.

I've been a regular at Publix in metro Atlanta for decades (Atlantic Station location, mainly) and that never happens to me. I told him that this Publix's layout is flipped from what I'm used to. He smiled and said he gets that a lot. I did get turned around at first, but I was able to easily find everything I was looking for, except for the Red Baron Deep Dish Pepperoni Pizza singles (2-packs) which this location and my go-to location were out of at the time. I've also liked to buy them in bulk (12-packs) at Costco. That guy and the two ladies at checkout were very friendly. There were also a couple employees in the produce section that were joking around with each other. Everyone seemed to be in a good mood. This was on a random Tuesday night around 8:30-8:45. Did they all just find out they got unexpected bonuses or something? I had a conversation with the cashiers about the restaurant I'd just eaten at, Kyuramen, in the same shopping center. I brought my leftovers in and had them with me while I shopped. My cashier, Jill, noticed and went out of her way to bag my leftovers for me. How nice of her. This Publix is located in Abernathy Square, the large shopping center at the big intersection of Roswell and Abernathy Roads in Sandy Springs, North Fulton. The reason I came to this location is because it was convenient for me to grab groceries right after dinner. This shopping center was busy, especially when I arrived around 6:30pm, but there was plenty of parking. I ended up settling for a 2-pack of Red Baron Deep Dish Four Cheese Pizza ($4.59) and got a few things I routinely buy at Publix: a large fruit salad ($16.08), Silk Almond Creamer Sweet & Creamy flavor ($5.59), and two cans of Starbucks Premium Instant coffee Medium Roast ($10.79 each). The selection of Starbucks products at this location was better than my normal Publix in Atlantic Station, but I'm pretty sure this Publix is bigger. My wife and I are generally fans of Publix and prefer it over competitors like Kroger and Harris Teeter simply because of Publix's fresher produce and generally higher-quality selection. I also like that you don't have to deal with a membership at Publix because everyone gets the same "automatic" discounts. Publix did launch a membership program, Club Publix, in 2020, but I think its main benefit is digital coupons -- it's not for automatic discounts at the register like Kroger Plus and Harris Teeter VIP, where you have to scan a membership code or enter your phone number. Like the Publix I frequent in Atlantic Station, this Publix also had a police officer stationed inside the front. This one was a Fulton County officer. This location opened in May 1994.

So the store needs some updating. And it wasn't the fastest Publix I have been too. But I genuinely…read moreenjoyed conversation with multiple staff Memeber. My sub was like a typical deli sandwich. Good Pleasant atmosphere.
