Mr churro/Pico e'Gallo is more than a churro joint! I met my girlfriend and her boys here with my boys too for her son's bday meal. This place was really nice! Well laid out, kind of hip, and clean! They are a Venezuelan food spot that honestly was good! We came here specifically for the pastelitos... they have a pastry like outside and were filled with cheese and potato. I loved them! Aydan ate 3 of them and Remi ate one. He wasn't real excited about these. It is counter service here... walk up and order what you want then they call you to get it when it is done. They sell all kinds of Venezuelan food: cachapas, patacon , pastelitos , mandocas tequenos, etc. what we had I thought was very good! The cost was higher than I expected. We came in for a sweet treat after dinner and honestly I wish we would have went somewhere else. Inside was clean and it wasn't busy at night so we able to order quickly. We asked about the menu and ordered the ice cream churros with dulce de leche and ice cream cups for the kids and my sister ordered thin crispy churros and ice creams for her kids as well plus an Arepa with pork. Unfortunately, it took longer than we expected for the churros to come out which was fine until we got my sister's order and they gave her the wrong churros these ones were thicker and not thin and crispy like the photo. we politely told them about the mistake and they blamed it on us. I said either way they taste terrible may we please just replace them? and they said no..over a couple of churros and their mistake. It was decent. I think I was expecting something else, but I just wasn't 'wowed' . Got a single strawberry churro with strawberry ice cream. This place is two restaurants in one and is opened late. Felt like we got skipped over a few times by the cashier, so that was fun. Seems like a late night type or grab treat with a family type of vibe. A great Churro is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside when you take that initial bite. I recommend that you travel to East San Jose,l in California and hit a 24-hour Fitness Gym's parking lot, and find those awesome and authentic Churro Street vendors. The food was overpriced for what it was. I asked for extra chimichurri for a dish that came with it already but too small of an amount and they charged me $1.50 for 2 more ounces. We wanted to add ham to an arepa (and pay for it) but even though they carry ham in other dishes since ham wasn't a modifier in the computer for arepas they "couldn't do it"... The place was clean and well lit with music playing that wasn't too loud. If you're craving Venezuelan food in the area do yourself a favor and go across the street to Cylantro's for better quality and more reasonable prices. Unless you are REALLY craving a churro, willing to pay a premium for it, and have some time to kill, then yeah, this place ain't bad. The combination of "slow" and "overpriced" probably wouldn't have been as obvious to us if we didn't have to wait as long as we did. Although they were perhaps busier that it appeared--there was nobody ahead of us when we ordered, but we noticed that a few delivery drivers came in to pickup their orders while we were waiting. With not much else to do while wondering what in the world was taking so long to bring us what is basically some fried dough and ice cream, we started comtemplating the prices and our expectations for what would eventually be served. The biggest disappointment was that that the dipping sauce for the churro was COLD. Like, really? After all that they charge and all that you have to wait, they couldn't take an extras moment to warm up the sauce (and, yes, we did that irritating pre-tip thing for counter service, too...20%-plus too!). My experience at Mr.churro was OK. The restaurant was clean and organized, and the staff was friendly. There was no-one in line when I arrived, but they did have a few customers already seated and served. The Service: Everyone who assisted me was very pleasant and helpful. The only problem I had was when I asked for whipped cream on top of my churros. After asking for whipped cream, the cashier informed me that "it was not for public use"... I'm not sure why it was there if it was not a topping for customers to add-on, so took a star off for that. The Food: The menu was was very limited, and in total there were about 12 food items available. I ordered 2 items which took about 8 minutes to complete. My food (5pc churro and an ice cream bowl) did taste good and fresh, but I paid nearly $18 for it. In my opinion, that was too expensive. I did attempt to order a steak kabob, but the wait time was 20 minutes! Ultimately, my experience at this restaurant was not bad at all (it was actually ok), but the price, topping unavailability, and speed of service will stop me from coming back sooner rather than later. read more

Yesterday I decided to try out Mr. Churro. The parking lot is small, but there's additional parking in the back. I'm not too fond of the location because it's very difficult to leave (especially leaving from the gas station parking lot because the bushes obstruct the view of traffic). I wasn't verbally greeted until I greeted them. I ordered a Picanha burger & chicken arepa ($32). The Picanha burger isn't on the menu, but is available to order. It was a thirty minute wait for my order with two customers in front of me. Both item were DELICIOUS! The burger came with (cold) shoestring fries. Not the best fries, but not the worst. I felt gypped on the amount of meat on my $15 burger compared to other photos I've seen. It was very flavorful, the sauce was great, and I loved the cheese. The bun was a perfect fit. The chicken on the arepa was flavorful as well & juicy. I would give them a second chance. After all, I still need to try the churros. read more

Somehow part of our order got lost in the mix and we had to wait a bit longer than expected but the crew acknowledged the mistake and took care of it right away. Be prepared to wait a bit as the place is usually busy and food is made to order. I had the steak arepa and it was filled so full that I ended up taking the toppings out to be able to bite into it. The strawberry milkshake wowed me, it had bits of Frosted Flakes that gave it a nice crunch in my sips.
