My go to place for poke locally. The service is always great every time I've gone. They have been very accommodating and patient. You can build your own bowl or have one of the prebuilt ones from the menu. I've gone at different times and it was never too busy. Just a perfect amount of steady flow of traffic in and out. I also like their bubble teas, you can ask for a nut milk alternative to the animal milk. The menu for their sauces show which ones are vegan and vegetarian if you look on the back of it. If you're looking for a quick lunch option but don't want the traditional fast food, I highly recommend trying Poké Life. You can choose between a burrito and a bowl. The burrito is wrapped in seaweed and you get to pick 3 proteins. My husband ordered this and really enjoyed it. I ordered a medium bowl which also gets 3 proteins. All of the protein options looked fresh. I chose shrimp and double salmon and the portions were generous. They have a decent amount of toppings. I'd recommend adding the cucumber salad which by itself has tremendous flavor. At the end, they offer a variety of seasonings and salt. I added garlic and sesame seeds. Everything ordered here tasted quite fresh and stayed appropriately chilled until served. Good stuff. Sauces are a bit too sweet for me. I'm pretty sure I'll be getting it on the side from now on. I had NO idea this place was close to my drop-off/pick-up spot with my son, during weekend exchanges. That is an automatic star bump! So this Poke thing is really making a splash here in Georgia now, as these places keep coming at you like the gnats do in South Georgia. We were running errands, and my honey found this place close to one of our stops. It sits in the same complex as Sprouts, Starbucks and Tin Drum Cafe, at the corner of Alpharetta Hwy and Mansell Rd. It's a very small store, but they do have enough parking out front. It's a very modern design and my girlfriend liked it automatically. It's certainly her style with white and black, and very sleek. Although, I have to say the design makes it feel cold inside. Atmosphere was ok to me. If you've eaten Poke already, then this is nothing new. If you haven't eaten Poke, then you'll need to know you choose either a bowl or burrito (more like a large sushi roll). Although it is a bit different in the fact that they let you choose almost everything for your Poke Burrito here. I'm actually more of a fan of options, and not having to choose exactly what I want inside, so that wasn't something I liked. I did miss that they had some signature styles available, after i left and glanced at their menu I took with me. With the burrito, you get your choice of three proteins (salmon, tuna, spicy tuna, albacore, etc) and then fill the rest with whatever else you might want (ie: cucumber, cilantro, jalapenos, corn) plus sauce. I noticed my burrito was about 20% smaller than the one i get at Poke City, and I don't think I did a great job of adding ingredients. Or maybe I just didn't like the sauces they had? Either way, it was just ok for me. The fish was fresh though. The drink options were also limited, with a fountain machine (with 6 options) and then a fridge with Bai products and a couple other things. I was actually craving some sweet tea, and they didn't have any. They also have side options like miso soup and small salad selections, along with dessert & snacks (ice cream, ice pop, roasted seaweed and pocky). Overall, not a bad place and pricing is ok. Nice and very clean restaurant that resides in a front side shopping center with a lot of parking spaces and other surrounding stores. I was greeted immediately upon walking in and got straight to it. I went down the line getting my base, meat, mix in, sauce and toppings. Paid for my meal and sat down to taste this fresh delicious looking food. It was everything I had hoped for and more. The meat wasn't fishy, tasted fresh, nice portions, plenty to choose from all of the options and the employees were so friendly. The place is inviting and very clean, they also have free wifi and lots of places to sit and also bring tables together to make bigger parties if necessary. Awesome place for poke! read more

Poke Life is a new poke bar located off of Alpharetta Hwy in the same plaza as Subway, Tin Drum of Roswell Market Place, and Batteries Plus Bulbs. We heard about their grand opening special (buy one get one half off) via Facebook, so we decided to stop by to give it a try. We've tried a lot of the other poke bars that have popped up around Atlanta, and this one is pretty comparable. You can choose between a poke bowl or a poke burrito. The bowl comes in small, medium or large. You then choose the base (white/brown rice, spring mix, kale, half and half), the protein (the amount you choose between depends on the size bowl you get), mix-ins, flavors/sauce, and finally toppings. The menu details this step-by-step and all of your options are labeled conveniently and neatly. Food quality was pretty good. The fish tasted relatively fresh, and the temperature and consistency of everything else was good. I tried the ponzu and classic sauces, and they were a little too sweet for my liking, but fortunately, I really only tasted the sauce when I got to the bottom of the bowl. Service was fast and very friendly. Location is easy to get to and there is ample parking. Atmosphere is very casual. The interior is cute, but pretty basic black and white. Prices are comparable to other poke bars. Overall, I'll probably come back to try their poke burrito. Other than that though, I'd probably only come by if I was in the area and craving poke. read more

Poké has officially arrived. This Pacific-Asianic treat has an addictive quality much like its cousin, sushi. But poke has a homey, cozy quality that can't be ignored once tried. Maybe it's the bowl. Maybe it's the rice. Who's to say? But it's good and it's a quick and it's filling. This place understands all that. You walk in and the place feels clean. A bone white interior is encouraging in a place that serves raw fish. The staff is welcoming and well-versed in helping first-time Poké eaters as well as regulars. Now, I need to state: I'm no poké expert. I've been eating it for about 5 years and first tried it in Hawaii (which is cliched but what can I do?). I know what traditional poké consists of and there are definite deviations one can make when ordering at Poké Life. But they have nailed the core of the dish which is fish plus rice plus whatever toppings you want. A lot of Hawaiian cuisine is born out of what ingredients are available so I give them a pass - especially considering their quality and freshness are superb. I generally go for a combination of the raw salmon or raw tuna as my protein. Then I add a concoction of toppings to that and the white rice - cabbage, edamame, pineapple, mango, green onion, cucumber. You won't go wrong with the sauces so play around. I also like the surimi, pickled ginger, pickled radish, masago, furikake, and crispy garlic. You can eat there or - as I do - take it to go and enjoy it anywhere. Their prices are more than fair. You get A LOT for the $13 a large bowl will run you and - even with a strong appetite - you will be satisfied. Definitely take advantage of the rewards system. You get a star for every $10 spent. 10 stars equals $10 off. By now, I've racked up more than $50 off my orders there. I say that unabashedly. Don't be afraid to ask for more of any topping (except the protein). Think of it like ordering at Subway but with an infinitely superior end product. I really don't have any draw-backs to report. Even if there is an issue, let them know. The management is good about taking care of their customers. I'm in there a couple of times every month. It was quite strange. When I asked for more rice, she told me it's an up-charge. Rice is literally the cheapest thing they put in my bowl, yet they wanted to charge me extra for it. This is a newer restaurant, that is located in the same shopping center as Sprouts. It is facing Highway 9. It is next to several other shops, but it is very visible and plenty of parking. When I entered the restaurant, it was very clean, no dirty dishes or trash laying around, and the music was just loud enough. You go up to the counter to order. The guy behind the counter greeted me, and when I said it was my first time, he said take your time and look it all over. Right behind me a guy came in, that I automatically figured out was a regular. So, that tells me they do a good business. I decided to go with: a small bowl, white rice, spicy tuna, shrimp, cucumbers, carrots, green onions, jalapeños, spicy mayo, Soy sauce, crispy garlic. It was so flavorful and it was a very generous portion of food. My small bowl & a drink was $11. And a bowl by itself was $9.65. So, the prices are very reasonable. I went back Saturday afternoon, and I got lunch for myself and two of my coworkers. They both said their food was amazing. And they would be returning. I remember the first time I had a poke burrito out in Las Vegas, and I thought...genius! I came back to Atlanta hoping to find a poke place, and now wow...has it exploded! So any chance I can get to try a new poke place, I'm there. This particular place wasn't too far from my errand running, so off we went. The restaurant is very sleek and modern. I loved the ambiance! It's a standard bowl place, but had a couple interesting things I hadn't seen offered in a bowl before, such as mango and kimchi. If you've never done poke before, it's order at the counter, and work your way down. You start with a base, which can be white or brown rice, spring mix, or kale ($1 more). Then pick your proteins. The size of your bowl depends on how many proteins you want. Two proteins is a small at $8.99, and goes up from there. I stuck with my favorite which is salmon, but they had tuna, spicy salmon, octopus, shrimp, tofu, spicy tuna, and albacore as well. From there, you can choose mix-ins such as cilantro, cucumber, edamame, pineapple, red onion, cabbage, corn, mango, jalapeno. The condiments included sweet and sour, spicy mayo, sesame ginger, ponzu, wasabi shoyu. I chose my favorite, spicy mayo. Next, the toppings, which included kimchi, masago, wasabi, seaweed salad, cucumber salad, and crabmeat salad. Yum to all! They also have some dry toppings at the cashier's register, which you can choose one or all, and use as much as you want. This part was a perk, so you can adjust how much you want on top. They also had extras such as avocado or tamago for an extra $1. Other offerings are miso soup, squid salad, kimchi salad, and some other types of salads like crabmeat and cucumber. For the sweet tooth, they have mochi ice cream, fruity ice pop, pocky, and roasted seaweed. I basically filled my bowl with all the stuff offered, other than ginger, avocado, and tamago. I was disappointed in the flavor. I even added sriracha, but it still wasn't as spicy nor creamy as I'd hoped for. The salmon was pretty fresh, and I will say the portion size compared to other places was definitely smaller as well. I liked it, but didn't love it in comparison to some other poke places I've experienced. I'd come back if I were in the area but wouldn't drive out of my way here. read more

It was a LOVE AT FIRST BITE!!!! I do not really write reviews, but the experiences I had in Poké Life over this few weeks really makes me want to express how much I love them. I was fascinated by the freshness of the fishes, I never knew that they can be this good. My favorite proteins are salmon and scallops. They have such a rich flavor that I never had any there else, at the same time I didn't feel any fishy smell or taste. Besides fishes, the flavor they have are amazingly delicious. They have six flavors and they allows you to mix them up in the way you like. Strongly recommend the Wasabi Shoyu. If you not sure how the flavors taste like, you can always ask the friendly staffs for some samples. Another big thing is that I love the design and the decorations they have, it looks clean and modern. The cashier told me that they are going to have more fun stuff in the store because they just opened for few weeks, which very excites me that I am going to watch how this restaurant grow and improve! read more

She was a jerk to them the whole time, in between talking to her friend on speaker phone while she was ordering... and they held their composure and still gave her great service. I would have thrown her "topping salad" at her and murdered her on the spot. I give these guys HUGE kudos for putting up with this ladies bullshit and still being kind to her through it all.
