We tried this place on a whim and man did it turn out to be a great delight! The flavors and texture of the ice cream is superb. I got the banana Nutella flavor with added toasted (torched) marshmallows. Oh my lord it was like having a hand dipped frozen banana from Balboa Island. If you know, you know. Don't sleep on this place!! read more

My daughter and I stopped by Sweet Charlie's because the reviews had us thinking it would be delicious, but unfortunately, we were disappointed. I ordered the strawberry cheesecake rolled ice cream with whipped topping and a roasted marshmallow, while my daughter got the Oreo rolled ice cream with whipped cream. We expected at least an Oreo cookie, or some strawberries, but to our surprise, there were no toppings like that - just plain, bland ice cream. The taste was underwhelming and almost sugar-free, definitely not what we expected compared to other rolled ice cream spots we've tried. On top of that, the service was unfriendly, which made the experience even less enjoyable. I'll stick to other locations from now on - Sweet Charlie's just doesn't live up to its name. read more

Very disappointed I saw reviews about them not being open when stated open but dang... Must be short staffed bc I've gone twice now and both times during "open hours" and they were closed!! Won't be back to try this again!!! I'd advise calling if you wanna go there read more

It was awful. Place didn't even open. We waited 30 minutes for it to open at 6 and never did. My daughter was really upset, because it's the closest roll ice cream style we have. Seriously pathetic. Just shut it down already. I give this place -1. Hope this helps! read more

I love that they have vegan options. It's hard to find standalone icecream places that have a variety of vegan icecream options. They also have milkshakes. I haven't had regular rolled icecream before so can't compare the taste to the vegan option. The vegan option has a bit of an interesting taste to it, along with the milkshake. Can't really place my finger on what it is but you either like it or you probably don't. The business is in the same plaza where the Kroger and other businesses are. It's been easy for me to find parking the times I have gone. The counter is clear so you can get to see them making your order which is cool especially with the rolled icecream. read more

Yummy! I've heard of rolled ice cream before but never seen it in person or tried it. I'm glad I did tonight. The people making and serving the ice cream were very friendly and helpful. It was fascinating watching them do their thing, mixing up the flavor of choice, spreading it and rolling it. Very neat! And it tasted really good... very fresh and home made, and nice and cold. I had the Monkey See Monkey Do flavor with chocolate syrup. My husband had the peanut butter pretzel one, with a bit of caramel. We both really enjoyed our after dinner treats. If we lived in the area we'd probably come here all the time! read more

Went because they were open later than other shops but would not recommend. I found the ice cream flavor wasn't quite there and the service was lackluster. read more

If you're looking for something sweet and respectfully healthy Sweet Charlie is a great place to satisfy your sweet tooth. I ordered the Monkey See Monkey Do vegan ice cream roll made up of vanilla with bananas and Nutella and added a waffle. It was delicious. Although I do wish I had maybe 2 more rolls of ice cream mine came with four rolls. But it's ok because it still satisfied my craving. The folks there were kind enough to explain everything to me because it was my first time. Not to mention my first time in ATL as well. But this was sweet experience. read more

Sweet Charlie's is a sweet treat! We stopped in for dessert and were overwhelmed with options: leige waffles covered with toppings, rolled ice cream in a variety of flavors, vegan based ice cream, and milkshakes. I had the birthday cake ice cream with fruity pebbles and rainbow sprinkles. My friend had the namaste ice cream with donut bits and whipped cream topping. The ice creams were delicious! There is plenty of seating to dine in and enjoy it too. read more

This was my first experience with Sweet Charlie's. I shopped at the Kroger next door, and I noticed that they were open. They limited the number of customers in their store due to the virus scare, and they would not let customers walk around the store. Paero greeted me when I walked inside. I could not read the large menu board on the wall, so he gave me a handheld menu. I had never had rolled ice cream, so he explained the concept and pointed out some of the options on the menu. I decided to try Death by Chocolate. I watched Paero chop up a brownie and mix it with chocolate ice cream. After throughly chopping the ingredients, he spread everything across a cold, circular metal surface. After letting the ingredients chill for a moment, he started scrapping them into small rolls of ice cream. He placed all of the rolled up ice cream into a small container. They offer a number of toppings, and all of the toppings are free. I selected whipped cream, bananas and almond slices. The final product tasted good. It was very chocolaty, and it tasted denser than traditional ice cream. My only complaint is the price. It costs $5 for a mini cup of rolled ice cream. It's definitely worth trying, and it's a cool experience to watch them make the rolled ice cream. I imagine I'll be back again in the future. If you've never had rolled ice cream, then I would definitely recommend that you try Sweet Charlie's at the Kroger shopping center in Roswell. read more

We came here on a weeknight and there was only 1 other party in there. No line so we ordered and watched our creation be made. They have pre-designed combinations of base flavor and mix-ins, although I am sure you can customize if you ask. We got the Death by Chocolate and the Kiss and Tell, which was a Mint Oreo flavor. If you don't like rolled ice cream, you can get any of these in a shake or donut. The owner was so nice and made ours himself, adding a chocolate syrup smiley face before rolling the ice cream, which y kids loved. The best part is last, as you can have unlimited toppings for no additional charge. They only had tables inside and wished they had some outside as there is room for that. read more

Came in close to closing with my party of 8. They churned it out quickly and was wonderful. The owner made sure that any allergies concerns was addresses before he started, which is very nice. Beware of the bathroom. A bit of a safety concern since the toilet seat was broken. read more

Found this spot when my boyfriend, sister, and I were hanging out. We enjoy supporting local/small businesses. After reading all of the positive reviews, we opted to give them a try. We are so glad that we did! We stopped in at the evening time and chatted with the owner and a male associate. Both were personable and has excellent customer service. We will back! read more

First visit and the treats were tasty. Lots of mix in options and you can even order a waffle with ice cream. I love rolled ice cream and this place delivers. Creamy, dense, flaky - simple. The only thing is that I wish they had more toppings and mix-ins available to be more competitive with other places. I love condensed milk but unfortunately they don't offer it here. read more

We found this great place on Google, and will definitely be back! Vegan options were a definite plus, providing choices for every sweet tooth! Choose your base [ice cream, yogurt, or vegan], choose a mix in flavor, (I chose birthday cake), watch them mix it right in front of you, and roll it with your choice of unlimited toppings! *Open during COVID19. What's the point in rolled ice cream when you can't view the rolling presentation? For safety measures, this ice cream shop has barricaded customers from the viewing glass and entering the premises beyond the first 5 feet of shop (understandable during these covid times). With that said, I would have preferred regular scooped ice cream. **However, this place does offer Unlimited Toppings!! read more

This place is amazing I love the fact that they have vegan options. Everything was fresh and soo good! Definitely worth the visit.

Delicious treat! First time trying them out but not the last. The rolled ice cream is delicious and has so much variety in toppings and flavor! We were looking for dessert and Sweet Charlie's had great reviews so we stopped by. It definitely didn't disappoint! This was our first time here so getting acclimated to the menu took us a minute, but once we figured it out it made total sense. You pick if you want rolled ice cream, a roll ice cream donut (think hotdog but with a donut bun and rolled ice cream as the hotdog), or milkshake. Then you can pick the type of ice cream (yogurt or traditional ice cream), then ice cream flavor, and unlimited toppings. I love how everything is customizable to your liking! I ordered the strawberry cheesecake roll ice cream with a yogurt base, chocolate sauce drizzle, topped with strawberries and Oreos... so good! My husband got the coffee and donut ice cream flavor and you can even pick the strength of the coffee flavor! This is also a family owned business. The owners were very friendly and really made sure we were satisfied with our order. If you're in the mood for ice cream, please check out Sweet Charlie's! read more
