I like this Kroger store. It's big, mostly well stocked and clean. Because it's big, This Kroger shares its free parking lot with all of the other businesses in the same shopping center, and it can get very busy to the point that customers have to park closer to the far end of the parking lot and must walk almost the whole length of the parking lot. One of the reasons why I don't shop here as often as I'd like is that I've come here a few times shopping for produce and found that many of the fruits and vegetables were picked over so much that the remaining bananas were bruised, the onions had mushy parts and the apples had soft parts. I guess that comes with the fact that this is a very busy Kroger. In my opinion, Kroger stores are less expensive than Publix, but overall quality of items at Kroger stores are also lower, but, just like everything else, you just have to be aware of the prices of items that you buy. Kroger stores sell Kroger brands of items; sometimes they're just as good as other name brands, and sometimes they're not. Customers can get a Kroger Plus Shopper's Card from customer service. With this card, customers can get sale prices on items while also earning gas points that they can apply at Kroger gas stations to decrease their gas prices. Not all Krogers have gas stations; this Kroger does have one. read more

This review is for the Kroger located inside the busy City Walk shopping center on Hammond Drive, very close to Roswell Road, in Sandy Springs. This shopping center is packed with many restaurants and retailers. Kroger has managed to squeeze a Kroger Fuel Center on the highly trafficked property too. The gas station is small and compact. It's got 10 pumps, with competitive fuel prices, and a tiny convenience store with ice and a vending machine outside. Aside from the pumps, there are no parking spaces. If you want to park, you'll have to park in the grocery store parking lot. This is opposed to, for example, some Murphy USA locations (attached to Walmart stores) which have limited parking. Space and maneuverability around the pumps is tight. It's smaller than your average gas station and it's certainly no QuikTrip or RaceTrac. The gas station and pumps are in clean and good-enough condition, though the displays on the pumps can be hard to read. Unlike a lot of other gas stations, this one doesn't have window/windshield cleaning squeegees, paper towels, a vacuum, nor an air pump for your tires. It's pretty bare-bones. However, this station does offer Additech Mileage Booster, a fuel system cleaning additive, which is optional and gets mixed in with your gas. It's supposed to increase your gas mileage, but I don't think you'll see results immediately. In fact, you may even experience worse gas mileage at first. I think you have to fill up with Additech consistently before you start noticing any cost savings and even then, I'm not sure it's worth it. read more

Damnit Kroger!! Trader Joe's is my grocery store of choice, but I still do Kroger pretty regularly otherwise. I have love for Kroger and have shopped at Kroger and it's Brother/Sister iterations from here, to New Mexico, to Ohio. Now with that being said...All over Metro Atlanta, it's the same thing...Who is buying all these DAMN unsalted peanuts that are ALWAYS left on the shelf, while the lightly salted and salted peanuts are CONSTANTLY sold out!?!? Furthermore, what geniuses that are doing the ordering can't see or don't care, that this is the reality in Kroger stores all over the metro area!? Cut it out Kroger and get LESS "unsalted" peanuts and more of what the people CLEARLY want. Geez!! read more

This Kroger stays well stocked for the most part. They have more of a selection than other competitors in the area. Also, it's a very clean store. I've yet to see messes or products in disarray. The staff that works in dedicated departments within the store are a lot more friendly than the front of house staff. By far. Department staff is friendly and really helpful. Front of house staff make it seem like it's an annoyance to help you. I've been burned twice buying apples from this store when I buy them in a bag. After looking over a bag, I'll get home and over half the apples will be rotten. I've learned that the staff will place apples in the bag so that you can't see where it's bruised or going rotten; that is low for Kroger to do. I recommend buying fruits solo and making your own bag instead of buying a remade bag. read more

I was entrenched in the Hot Wheels bin trying to find what I'm looking for and the manager, Mohammed, walks up to me and says, "Quite a pile you have there." Then shows me a section of Hot Wheels exclusives that had team trailers and speed machines which I had to limit myself to. This review is for their Gas Pumps. Their website states the Gas Pumps are open at 05:00 hours. There has been numerous times where I arrive at 05:05-05:10 and they aren't open. Not sure if the person who is suppose to be working the pumps is running late but this is no excuse to NOT have the gas pumps open when they are suppose to be open. Please address this issue Kroger. Not terrible Kroger. They stopped with Covid precautions so well. Things are hit or miss stock wise but generally can find everything. Sometimes it's a mess to get around. Best time to shop are early mornings including weekend mornings. It's not too crazy. This one has a fuel center which is great. read more

We don't have Kroger in Charlotte - our higher end supermarket is Harris Teeter. Like HT, this is a large supermarket that is well stocked, well lit, well organized and well staffed. The shopping carts work well and the store is easy to navigate. Good produce, large frozen, good fish and fresh butcher counter and a massive beer/wine selection. The few things I looked at were reasonably priced - more expensive than Wal-Mart, but you're paying for a superior shopping experience. read more

Clean store, friendly people A good sign of a great establishment is low turnover. In the eight years I've been visiting this Kroger, a good 75% of the staff is still working there and friendly as can be. They are helpful, keep the store presentable and are very considerate. In one instance where I brought cash and no purse/wallet, the cashier discounted almost $5.00 in "coupons" when I asked to remove something from my cart because I was short on cash. read more

I've been coming to this Kroger off and on for years. Always leave a happy customer. This Kroger has a decent Starbucks which isn't always the case in other Kroger locations. There is a J Christopher, a UPS store and a Marco's pizza in the same strip. It also features a small fuel station towards the corner of the parking lot. It's a busy Kroger store which is always a good sign that means the items especially the produce doesn't sit for very long. I use to come here around dinner time before I would head on home and even though the store would be pretty busy I never had any problems finding a cashiers. The store is pretty much always well stocked and clean with no funky smell....a brightly lit parking lot esp. at night and no weirdos hanging out at night asking for change. Thanks Kroger. Love this Kroger!! The employees are friendly all the time. They always stocked. And they have a very diverse selection of foods. I usually choose Publix for my produce. But this Kroger has nice fresh fruits and vegetables. Which makes me super happy. It saves me the extra trip. read more

Just spent $160+. It will definitely be the last time at this Kroger and likely one of the last for Kroger period. Being from Ohio and having known members of the Kroger family left me loyal for awhile. It was a hard press to try to keep any loyalty after experiencing Publix. I avoid most Kroger's at all costs, needed to stop tonight to stock up for the weekend. All lanes are closed except self-checkout. The shelves are bare of many basics (Chicken Broth for example). Then I get the rudest girl at the checkout. She's not having to ring up a dime, but an absolute b****, nonetheless. The worst. Even the security guard said "Don't they have the worst service?" I doubt anyone from Kroger will read, let alone care. If so, save your canned response and fix the issue. I recently moved to Sandy Springs so this is my new Kroger. It is usually overcrowded and a struggle to make it through the aisles without getting mad dogged or dodging a million other carts. I have tried to go at less busy times, like late evening, and that has helped me avoid a lot of frustration. There is a security woman there who takes her job very seriously. If something in your cart sets off the alarm on your way out the door, be careful! She will be right there and checking your receipt promptly. The pharmacy is great. Pharmacists are fast, efficient and helpful. read more

Their customer service is terrible! I was standing in line for 5 minutes yesterday and then the cashier said her line was closed! There were a lot of people in the store at the time and you would think they would be more customer oriented to get people checked out. The positive point is as a consumer I can take action with my feet...so I just left and went to one of their competitors. I see overall their Yelp rating is low and I fully understand why. Think twice about using this venue. On a recent Friday, I went out of my way, at rush hour to buy shrimp on sale. Wrong decision. Arrived to find out that the entire meat dept and fresh fish was down. No service. Their equipment , the weight scale was broken. Three men were pouring over the scales, apparently sharing their non knowledge. Tonight I went to their customer service department at 7:45 to return an item, closed early, no reason!! I went to this Deli I was literally ignored for 10 minutes and then when I finally waited on me they acted like I was bothering them, huffing and puffing like they like I've asked them to do something other than work. Reading positive reviews on this Kroger is the best entertainment ever. Either they are fake reviews that Yelp hasn't caught, or the people giving this Kroger positive reviews have the lowest standards on earth. 1. Parking is beyond horrible. Because this Kroger shares a parking lot with easily 20 other stores there is NEVER any convenient parking available during the daytime. Especially since they have added easily 10 new handicapped spaces on top of the ones that were previously available. 2. Produce is usually rotten or molded. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I visit this Kroger the grapes have bags that are molding/rotten. Greens in bags are wilted/yellowed and their fruits are either out of stock or bruised so bad they aren't worth buying. 3. Deli/self-serve area is a joke. Typical wait time for anything at the deli is well over 10 min. Not because it's always busy, but because the Deli/bakery staff is far too busy talking to each other instead of working. 4. Bakery is a joke. 9 times out of 10 they don't even know what you're saying to them. I asked about a type of bread they carried and had to repeat myself FIVE times before the woman (who looked like I had grown a third eye) finally turned and got someone else. When I asked them the exact same question they went in the back and got the bread I wanted out of the freezer. 5. Natural/organic foods is a MESS. Their bulk food bins are always empty/out of stock. Almond and Peanut butter grinders are always empty/out of nuts. They recently scattered the organic/natural foods all over the store and put all the craft beer in that area. In the process they moved an entire aisle and revealed the FILTH on the floor under that aisle. 6. Milk is often out of date or out of stock. NEVER buy the discounted milk, it is discounted because it will expire within 24-48 hours of purchase. Always check the dates, smell the milk before drinking. The stock crew is TERRIBLE about letting milk sit before getting it in the cooler. The dairy section is FULL... of out-dated stock. Purchased Oui Yogurt only to get home and discover that 5 of the small jars were expired by 5 months! Eggs are often oozing out of the cartons from being smashed on top of one another. 7. Check-out lanes are pathetic. They recently removed about 5 lanes next to the Starbucks booth and put in more self-check out. This makes roughly 20 self-check out lanes and less than 10 regular registers which usually only have one or two cashiers on duty. Most of the time the self-check out is jammed up because one or two of the systems are down. 8. Gas Station is messy. The paper-towel dispensers and hand sanitizers are always empty. Receipt printers are almost always empty, if you want a receipt you have to get the clerk to print one. Air pump/hose is ALWAYS broken. As of Christmas day the air hose was running but had no pressure and gauge is broken (6lbs of air in a flat tire read 50lbs of pressure on broken gauge). Management NEVER keeps the air pump working and it is the ONLY FREE air pump in Sandy Springs. 9. Shopping carts are almost always stacked up in parking lot and not in the store. Grab one if you see it in the parking lot. Hand sanitizer in the entrance is always empty/out. 10. Customer service always seems to be put-off, annoyed or otherwise disinterested in helping. Walked in and there were easily 20 people in line, all looking like they had been there for a long time. 11. Starbucks is priced higher than a regular location and the drinks are made poorly. The guys who work there spend more time using their phones than actually paying attention. At the end of the day the only reason this Kroger is still open is because it's the closest one in 3 miles, which in Sandy Springs traffic can take over half an hour. This review isn't even considering the staff, which typically is rude, dismissive, annoyed or otherwise put-off by having to do anything besides the minimum. I've stopped going to this Kroger except on rare occasions and opt for Whole Foods across the street on Hammond or make the drive to Publix. read more

I'm not sure what's up with the bad reviews. This is an excellent Kroger. It's in a good part of town. Spacious parking lot. The store carries a good selection of the "healthy" and organic products. Produce is solid. Inside is clean and has a good flow, though some of the personal products (hygiene, soap) is a little disjointed with the section in the front and the one random aisle. MAJOR points for gas station, which often has lower prices than other stations in the vacinity. Combine that with Kroger Fuel points discounts that I rack up, and I'm consistently saving a few bucks per fill up. If you guys don't already use them, PLEASE sign up for digial coupons on their app. They have weekly updates, free items, and x2 or x4 specials on fuel points when you buy gift cards (be aware Kroger GC's don't count). The only reason it's not 5 star is because of the flow mentioned above, as well as not being 24 hours. read more

Awful customer service. Routine delays filling prescriptions. Last straw was today: Called to see if I had a prescription ready. "No" was the one word response. I asked if I had a refill on file. "Yes" was the one word response. I asked, when could you fill it? "Maybe Thursday" was the 2 word response. I asked, are you out or it? or just too busy? or maybe I should move it to another pharmacy? "Yes, you should move it to another pharmacy if you think we are incompetent." She then hung-up. As we were pushing the shopping cart out to our car (in the dark) tonight, an associate noticed our strawberries had fallen out of the cart and were sprinkling all over the parking lot. She ran over and alerted us and volunteered to go back inside and replace our strawberries. Even better, she was about to go on her break so it was NOT convenient for her to reach out to us. They called me an hour before I'm supposed to pick up my grocery and said the order was too large to be filled. It was not a large order(100 dollars worth of grocery's) I called the customer service desk who transferred me to pick up, the pick up center would not answer the phone. I hung up and called customer service back and asked the lady not to transfer me, then she just transferred me to the pick up department, which still did not pick up. They never have enough check out lines open and the wait to get anything at the deli takes absurd amounts of time-like standing there for 20-30 minutes. This location at 227 Sandy Springs place is the worst. I rarely go into this location to shop just because they're always out of stock. I would only pop in there to pick up a few things but would almost always regret it. I went there one day to pick up a few things and end up leaving one of my bags. I immediately called about the items I left. My working hours can be extreme, and I didn't get back to the store right away. I would always forget my receipt every single time. Well, I went into the store recently, and I did remember my receipt this time. I guess he's a new manager there and don't really care. It really wasn't that serious over $7, but it was my money. If it was too late to get my money back then so be it. It wasn't two or three months ago either. The way the manager looked at me was really offensive. He made sure to look me dead in the eyes like I was lying or something. While he's treating hard working people like myself like trash, other people are robbing the store blind Then had the nerve to show me the receipt as if to say why did it take so long. Really? I already told him it was no big deal but thought I'd ask. He then tells me people don't usually take this long, a week tops. I just looked at him like what are you talking about? He stated he can give me a $5 credit, and I thanked him. Additionally, I thanked him while exiting the store. He sort of shrugged me off like I was the scum of the earth. I literally live less than a minute from the store. If it wasn't for the convenience when I need to pick up a few things, I wouldn't ever visit the store again. I've been shopping at the other Kroger down Roswell or Publix. Maybe next time have the customer service representative write down people names if they call about lost bags if it's that serious. I most certainly have other things to do besides trying to scam someone. Thank you to the manager for making me feel welcome. I appreciate it!
