Hot Wheels exclusives tall bin

For Hot Wheel collectors, I have to give huge props to this Kroger. I was entrenched in the Hot Wheels bin trying to find what I'm looking for and the manager, Mohammed, walks up to me and says, "Quite a pile you have there." Then shows me a section of Hot Wheels exclusives that had team trailers and speed machines which I had to limit myself to. If anyone from this Kroger reads this, then keep up the Hot Wheels and the amazing managers.

There are actually a couple of Trader Joe's locations closer to my house now, but I still find…read moremyself making the drive to this one--and it's for one simple reason: The customer service. Every single time I shop here, the team is genuinely friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. It never feels forced. There's just a different energy at this location, and it's something I've consistently noticed over the years. Of course, the parking can be a little interesting at times. It gets busy, people are trying to navigate the lot, and every now and then it feels like everyone forgot how to drive for a minute. But honestly, that's the least of my concerns. The parking is free, and once I'm inside, the experience more than makes up for any extra few minutes it might take to find a space. What keeps me coming back is the hospitality. Shopping for groceries may seem like a routine errand, but the people here make it feel a little more enjoyable every time. It's the kind of place where employees are happy to answer questions, help you find what you're looking for, and make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. I'll happily drive a little farther for that kind of experience. Great customer service is hard to beat, and this Trader Joe's continues to get it right.

While I was picking out my snacks, I happened to glance up & saw the Deli menu displaying "Vegetarian & Vegan" Subs. Of course, I was taking advantage of this. Jae, the Deli employee took my order. Now, they do not have Vegan bread, not a worry. I was able to purchase my Vegan & Gluten Free bread for Jae to make my Turkey & Bacon Sub. Here's the awesome topping, I was refunded for my bread purchase...of course still charged for my Sub. The Vegan Sub ingredients include Lightlife SmartBacon strips, Unreal Roasted Turkey slices, Follow Your Heart Smoked Gouda Cheese, Publix's own Ranch Dressing & all the garden fixin's. Of course, I had to get Publix's signature Olive Oil & Vinegar mixture. I got everything except the Ranch Dressing as they were out of it. Jae even took the time to see if there was Ranch Dressing on the shelves. None, yet ok as I make my own from scratch. Jae's service was A+ & well appreciated. She cleaned the prep area & changed out her gloves twice while preparing my Sub. I'll be back for another one before the weekend is out...hello good carbs.

Aldi= Big Savings!…read more I go here at least twice a month and the amount of items that I purchase and total bill in comparison to other supermarkets/grocery stores is significantly lower. With that being said, don't expect to get everything you need here. I do make my rounds at other grocery stores but Aldi stands out when it comes to the purchase of these items; 1. Fresh produce- tomatoes, cucumbers, plantains, grapes and avocado all seem to taste better and last longer than the competition. 2. At this particular store it's the 2nd aisle, they have a bunch of household, kitchen and outdoor items that are reasonably priced. Not always the best quality but still attractive to the eye and very useful e.g. plastic bottles, containers, glass/plastic wares, coolers, patio chairs, plant pots. 3. Frozen food items- 'seek and ye shall find' While Aldi is NOT my ideal store for frozen food it DOES come in 2nd place. The variety isn't always the same but you can be sure to stumble across something that you'll definitely enjoy (i.e. for an evening when you're too tried to cook or not in the mood for a big dinner, you can simply pop something in the oven for a few minutes and voila, something to nibble on) 4. Snacks- I get a lot of my junk food here at a great price (no judgement please...lol) 5. Wine- they have a nice selection of great tasting bottles from as low as $2.89. Apart from the cashiers you really don't see any other staff around but, given the size of the store it's easy to navigate without any assistance.

They are fast for the purpose of stealing your money, so people need to take their time and check their receipt when they are buying a lot. I think when buying a lot is when the thieving cashiers strike. I got there at 7pm and my total was $277.81, it was more than I usually get, I even asked the lady that it seems some things were scanned twice but she said no, only to get home and found out the added charge. They have no phone number on the receipt and the one I called directed me to online. I'm never leaving the store again without checking my receipt no matter how large the groceries is and what time it is. Those are the two factors the cashier took advantage of.

I think I have to give this Publix five stars for the service alone. In the meat/deli area, an…read moreemployee approached me and asked me if I needed help finding anything. I've been a regular at Publix in metro Atlanta for decades (Atlantic Station location, mainly) and that never happens to me. I told him that this Publix's layout is flipped from what I'm used to. He smiled and said he gets that a lot. I did get turned around at first, but I was able to easily find everything I was looking for, except for the Red Baron Deep Dish Pepperoni Pizza singles (2-packs) which this location and my go-to location were out of at the time. I've also liked to buy them in bulk (12-packs) at Costco. That guy and the two ladies at checkout were very friendly. There were also a couple employees in the produce section that were joking around with each other. Everyone seemed to be in a good mood. This was on a random Tuesday night around 8:30-8:45. Did they all just find out they got unexpected bonuses or something? I had a conversation with the cashiers about the restaurant I'd just eaten at, Kyuramen, in the same shopping center. I brought my leftovers in and had them with me while I shopped. My cashier, Jill, noticed and went out of her way to bag my leftovers for me. How nice of her. This Publix is located in Abernathy Square, the large shopping center at the big intersection of Roswell and Abernathy Roads in Sandy Springs, North Fulton. The reason I came to this location is because it was convenient for me to grab groceries right after dinner. This shopping center was busy, especially when I arrived around 6:30pm, but there was plenty of parking. I ended up settling for a 2-pack of Red Baron Deep Dish Four Cheese Pizza ($4.59) and got a few things I routinely buy at Publix: a large fruit salad ($16.08), Silk Almond Creamer Sweet & Creamy flavor ($5.59), and two cans of Starbucks Premium Instant coffee Medium Roast ($10.79 each). The selection of Starbucks products at this location was better than my normal Publix in Atlantic Station, but I'm pretty sure this Publix is bigger. My wife and I are generally fans of Publix and prefer it over competitors like Kroger and Harris Teeter simply because of Publix's fresher produce and generally higher-quality selection. I also like that you don't have to deal with a membership at Publix because everyone gets the same "automatic" discounts. Publix did launch a membership program, Club Publix, in 2020, but I think its main benefit is digital coupons -- it's not for automatic discounts at the register like Kroger Plus and Harris Teeter VIP, where you have to scan a membership code or enter your phone number. Like the Publix I frequent in Atlantic Station, this Publix also had a police officer stationed inside the front. This one was a Fulton County officer. This location opened in May 1994.

I typically go late at night to avoid some of the crowds but tonight it took me 15 minutes just to…read morecheck out. One of the items that the people in front of me wanted to buy did not have a tag - so it took four people two different trips back to produce and a manager to finally type in the $4.99 amount. They offered to open another register, but all of my items are already on the belt. Unfortunately, I could not do self checkout because I had several gift cards to buy. I had to justify my purchase to the manager and explain why I was spending $300. He said they want to make sure no one's being taken advantage of (good intention) but how is the Publix manager going to resolve that if that was the case ...LOL. Then one of the gift cards didn't work and they had to match all the gift cards back to their codes to figure out which one wasn't working and then refund and re-ring the missing card. It was an embarrassing long process, and the clerk was new and completely clueless so the manger had to come back and help her again. I usually avoid the registers (I'm the jerk with a full cart at the self checkout) because they either bag my groceries poorly and I end up with damaged items or products scan in at the wrong price. Sadly, I end up at the service desk about half the time for rain checks of BOGO items that are not in stock or on the shelves yet. This is one of the most expensive stores in the area but continues to fail and under deliver. I've started going to Whole Foods, Amazon delivery, and/or another Publix instead.
