How can you ever go wrong with Krispy Kreme? The staff was nice, the donuts were awesome and the interior/exterior was clean and well-kept.

Disappointing!!! When we called the outlet they told us that fresh original glaze would come out in 5-10 Mins. My wife and kid were really excited so we drove all the way from Round Rock to this location but when we reached there we were served "ice cold" tasteless original glazed donuts. We were told that there's something wrong with their equipments and they don't know when it will be fixed. I wish the staff was honest enough to inform us upfront and saved us time. Also donuts should be stored in a warmer vs serving cold donuts that customers would need to wait until they arrive home to warm them up before consuming. read more

I have been coming to the one off of 183 since I was 1 year old. I am 20 now it has a special place in my heart and I couldn't live with out it. They are so much better than the one in Houston we would drive all the way when we moved from Austin to Houston back to austin just to get donut from them. Krispy Kreme has always been pretty good to me. I never understood why so many locations were closed. There use to be a ton in Chicago (my hometown). When we moved to Austin and noticed this location we immediately got excited. Well, when we stopped today, we ordered two bacon, egg, and cheese kolache and one potato and cheese kolache. I'm pretty sure I have a 3rd degree burn from eating mine. What setting was used to "warm" the kolaches up? Yikes! They were pretty good once they cooled down. With two toddler in the back we assumed it was charged accordingly only to find out they gave one dollar off instead accurate promotion. I called right away and talk to Tasha, she took my name down and told me to come back for refund following day, says she works 8-4PM. I previously went to this location on a whim mid-day and had good service and some warm, tasty doughnuts so came back for some morning treats. I ordered online an hour after opening since I figured they'd be fresh and went to the store to pickup, expecting no issues with my order since I was never called or prompted to change any items in my order. When I arrived, I found that the drink I ordered wasn't ready with my order so I asked about it. I was told they didn't have the base for frozen drinks at the moment so they couldn't fill the order, despite already charging me and never letting me know. I asked if I could get something else instead and the woman turned and started arguing with another employee across the store, asking why they didn't call me and some other indiscernable grievances as he was running the drive-through. She wandered off to fill another order and the man came over to apologize and ask if I wanted a different drink. I asked for an iced caramel drink instead of the frozen one, assuming it would be a fine substitute and he made it quickly. He was very polite and apologized for the inconvenience and I took my order home. It turns out that they had substituted a doughnut they didn't have available without saying a word to me, which I only found out once I opened the box at home. The doughnuts themselves were cold and a bit off, with some disproportionately filled. The drink was inedible, with the first sip being sweet but then being ruined by a rush of extreme bitterness. We ended up throwing the drink out and not even wanting the rest of the doughnuts. Would not recommend this location during a rush, since they don't seem to be able to deliver fresh doughnuts. I'm not sure we'll be going back, which is a shame since they're not even a mile away and we have had a good experience before but the morning staff really gives me doubts. read more

I have a lot of love for Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. They're *delicious*. And they're good at pretty much any time of day. Like I've been here right as they were putting out their first batch of the day, and I've been here at all times of the day, and they're always sweet. The cool thing is if you go inside, they give you one complimentary original glazed doughnut, hot off the line! Even the most basic doughnuts there are good, but I especially like the chocolate-covered, custard-filled ones. If you need something even easier to eat in the car, their cups of doughnut holes are on point. You can also find KKD's at most any supermarket or corner store in the area, but it's better if you get them from the source. In high school, one of my professors was cool enough to offer extra credit for anyone who went and took a tour of this Krispy Kreme. Needless to say, half the damn school was there. read more

Whenever I'm running late or don't I have time to eat breakfast, I just pick up a kolache on the way, which always hits the spot. I was there today (December 27, 2022) at 12:16pm. My husband brought 4 donuts about 20 minutes ago. I ordered 2 glazed donuts and 2 creme filled donuts, that is what I want. My husband tried to buy exactly what I ordered 20 minutes ago and they gave him 1 lemon creme filled and 3 chocolate glaze donuts instead. When I mentioned to the clerk, she sent a manager to talk to me. The manager didn't apology to me, but accusing me that I lied to her. The register will not lie if they checked it. The manager was trying very hard to get rid of me. I think she has attitude problem. My daughter and I love Krispy Kreme donuts, but I think this will be the last time I will visit them. I bought 3 coupons for 3 dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts from my grandson. They live in Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska. I didn't think too much about it because Austin has a Krispy Kreme Shop on Research. I took the coupons to this location and was told the coupons are "corporate" and this was a franchise store. They don't get any money from honoring the coupons, shame on Krispy Kreme international. The General Manager honored the coupons and I took the 3 dozen glazed to Seton - Williamson's medical staff. Krispy Kreme international needs to workout a reimbursement with the franchise owners or change the name of the fund raisers. It's very confusing to the consumer because there is no visual difference between the doughnut shops and shouldn't rely on the honor and good will of the franchise owner. Beware of the cashier when you give your card for payment , my debit card got compromised after I made a purchase at Krispy Kreme at the 183 location. I have never used my debit card elsewhere for months until this day at Krispy Kreme &12.00 worth of donuts became $200.00 dollars of 5 random charges. I gave my card to cashier (Megan) for payment.. What a nice experience at my first Krispy Kreme store! I was having my car inspected a few doors away so I wandered over to Krispy Kreme while I waited for my car. Very friendly greeting from the girl behind the case (Marissa?). Ordered two donuts and a coffee. The total came to $5.06. I gave her a $10 and then fished around in my pocket for the $.06 but unfortunately I didn't have any coins. Rather than giving me an annoying (but correct) $4.94 in change, Marissa said: don't worry, I'll take care of the $.06. She then handed me a $5 bill. Her act of kindness has made me a Krispy Kreme customer for life. Bravo! I was so appreciative, I gave her a $1 tip (and I never tip at fast food places). The location itself is very nice. They run out of donuts all the time and forget about going and getting promotional donuts. None!! Tonight we got there at 10:07 and their light went out at 10pm. Waited for over a week to come and try the new Reese's doughnut after countless of advertisements for it. Took my family. We ordered a dozen and 4 extra on the side. After the first 2 bites I realized the doughnut did not have the drizzle on top like the pictures showed me and Krispy Kreme advertised. I asked an employee what happened and he mumbled saying "Oh I don't know." I asked well is there a way to find out? He mumbled again and says "maybe I can ask my manager?"
