I really like their cream bismarck donut and the original glazed donuts. The coffee is horrible here. On weekends when they get busy they need the greeters walking in the drive through taking orders to have printed out menus. I never understood this. They do this at Chick Fil A too. Like how are people supposed to know exactly what they want without reviewing the menu? It creates congestion and people behind get annoyed with waiting longer if the workers make you wait to order until you finally pull up at the order screen. Management, please give your staff printed, laminated menus to have along with their mobile POS system to charge customers. It's good don't get me wrong, but I'm not sure I get the vibe. It is a very unique recipe, the dough is yellow and icing has an orange tint? We went through the drive thru on a Sunday around 11:10am, and got thru within a few min, so pretty fast. We got 2 glazed, 1 chocolate, 1 maple, and a dozen donut holes for $7.16. Wow! I can't believe I haven't written a review, so here goes. This bakery has donuts, muffins, cookies and Kalachis. I usually just get one and normally the maple syrup glazed. However the chocolate. Strawberry, plain glazed are all delicious. In fact all the bakery items are yum yum. My favorite thing to get is their black signature coffee. It has a cherry flavor and tastes really good, especially with a donut or donuts. The even better thing, is it only costs $3 for the large 20 oz. Round Rock Donuts also has other speciality drinks both hot and iced. The service is always splendid. Everyone is in a good mood and you do not need to tip. So the cost is really nice compared to other restaurants and coffee shops. There is drive-thru, window pick up, and outdoor seating. There is corn hole equipment set up for the kids while they have a donut. The bathrooms are pretty clean too. Round Rock Donuts are known for their orange color, which comes from the fresh eggs used in their batter. The bakery has been using the same ingredients and recipe since 1926, and the donuts are made by hand. The great glazed donut isn't the only sweet thing that this bakery has to offer, but it's certainly the one thing that piques the interest of first-time Texas visitors. They are proud to tell you it's because they LOVE working there and the owners take care of them. In a city where other companies lay off their long term employees right before retirement (think DELL, a once local company where service years USED to mean something but now folks are laid off after been there for 25+ years with amazing performance) without a blink.... Here at RR donuts they have a growing local company, on food network many times, and whose employees are speaking about the establishment with pride saying how long they have worked there and they don't need tips and don't want locals pushed out or anyone feeling like people are nice just for tips. I've ordered here a few times (mostly donut boxes and coffee carafe's for meetings) but I love this location because of the drive thru. When it gets busy, this location has the chick fil a drive through set up and is able to get people in and out very quickly. If you haven't heard about this donut place while visiting or if you live in Texas you're missing out. This is definitely one of Texas's famously known donut places. This particular location I ran into one of battle buddies at the VA. Miraculously we had VA appointments on the same day. So my buddy Lu was like let's go hit up Round Rock Donuts. I honestly thought he meant the downtown location but it was literally down the road from the Cedar Park VA Clinic. We order some donuts to go and a small coffee for me. My donuts were so delicious and I enjoyed the cup of Joe. The coffee was delicious and not too hot and not cold at all. For being an outside place for the customer experience, it wasn't bad at all. I've been hearing so many great things about around Rock Doughnuts and I finally got a chance to visit their Whitestone Blvd. shop yesterday. This location serves more as a grab-n-go, drive-thru type of place and I love the fact that it is much less touristy and no need to wait in lines. We ordered half dozen of the holes and two regular hot dogs with cheese. The hot dog bread was not particularly impressive but the doughnut holes are sooo good that I regretted not getting a dozen or more right after we left. I also saw their famous giant doughnuts on display. I'm not so much of a sweet tooth but would love to get one and share with friends or family some day. This store is well managed and very clean. I love the beautiful grass around the shop and the floor to ceiling display windows. The service is also . On opening day, the line was going down 1431 and backing up like crazy. We swung by 3 days after opening and there was no wait! We drove up to the drive through on this cold ridiculously winter weather, got our order put in for a dozen original, yummy goodness of donuts, and voila, donuts!
