Thank you Michelle in drive-thru for your great energy and kindness! Thank you Round Rock Donuts!

Saturday morning drive-thru for the win! The service was friendly, and they even walked up to the window to take my order. Tap-to-pay made everything quick and easy. I ordered a dozen: eight glazed, two chocolate-topped, and two strawberry with sprinkles. They were still warm when I got home--and so good! Round Rock Donuts has been my favorite for more than 30 years, and I've tried plenty of others. They're still the best! read more

Donuts or Doughnuts? However you spell it, they both equal to soft doughy and sweet goodness. A topic of doughnuts came up and our friends from Austin said, we MUST try Round Rock Donuts while here in the Austin area. Being a lover of sweetie goodness, I can't pass up that recommendation. We probably let our eyes do the ordering because we probably got more than we should have. Before I forget, I have to give a shout out to Karen who took our very complicated orders, but she was so nice and friendly, she stepped out to hand us our order and made sure to give each of us a hug and one photo for the gram or Yelp. Super sweet lady that has been with the company for a very long time. As for my take on the Donuts or Doughnuts, these are definitely doughnuts to me because the dough was very light and fluffy with a very subtle sweet glaze. Just like most doughnuts, you have to eat it fresh or they lose their softness, fluffiness and sweetness. Day old doughnuts just do not taste the same, and Round Rock Donuts also do-nut hold their freshness the next day. I argue that Krispy Kreme are the only donuts I have ever had that are still soft the day after. I'm sure there are those who will disagree with me. Since we got it fresh, I'll rate the glazed donut a 7/10. If given a box of fresh round rock donuts, I will not say no thank you, but Thank you very much. read more

I love that there are now two locations to go to for Round Rock donuts. This new location is closer to my house. Easy to pull into the drive-thru and pull out once I am finished. The young lady that was outside taking orders (tall, slim, beautiful curly hair). She asked if we would like to try one of the summertime lemon cake donuts because I was distracted and did not see the sign sticking up in the drive-thru. Lemon cake is my favorite, so I couldn't turn down the upsell she asked me. I ordered 3 lemon cake donuts. The size is perfect. You can ask for the donut to not have the drizzled icing on top too because I find it just a little too sweet for my taste when the icing is on top. These are only seasonal and offered during summertime, which is the only negative thing I can say about it. Wish they were a new daily menu item. The (older, slim, blonde hair, blue eyes) who took our payment and handed us our order is the nicest and sweetest lady I have ever come across. I absolutely love being greeted by her when I come through the drive-thru. read more

It's become a tradition for my daughters and I to treat ourselves to kolaches and donuts from Round Rock Donuts on Sunday mornings! My girls love the donut holes and the chocolate donuts with rainbow sprinkles. I'm partial to the Maple donut or a chocolate glazed. They are known for their blueberry donut which I have yet to try but my partner and friends swear by! Their donuts are melt in your mouth good! Service is super fast and efficient. Their "drive through" process works. Usually get my order within 5 minutes. Easy on the wallet as well! Hit this place up when you have your next donut craving, you won't be disappointed! read more

It's good don't get me wrong, but I'm not sure I get the vibe. It is a very unique recipe, the dough is yellow and icing has an orange tint? We went through the drive thru on a Sunday around 11:10am, and got thru within a few min, so pretty fast. We got 2 glazed, 1 chocolate, 1 maple, and a dozen donut holes for $7.16. We liked all of the things we had, but it is a very rich donut! I'd recommend getting a water to wash it down. I'm sure we will come back! read more

I recently visited the Cedar Park Round Rock Donuts location to get donuts for a meeting. I've been before but today I was met in the window by Michelle. She was extremely helpful and friendly. Not just a simple hello like other places. She noticed I was on the way to work and told me how put together I looked. I got several boxes of fresh, impressive donuts and then she said "I just believe you're going to knock it out of the park today!" That just made my day! It made me smile and feel confident about a meeting that I had been stressed about. That never happens at a "fast-food" place...or at least it's never happened to me. She's amazing and I look forward to seeing her again soon!! read more

Wow! I can't believe I haven't written a review, so here goes. This bakery has donuts, muffins, cookies and Kalachis. I usually just get one and normally the maple syrup glazed. However the chocolate. Strawberry, plain glazed are all delicious. In fact all the bakery items are yum yum. My favorite thing to get is their black signature coffee. It has a cherry flavor and tastes really good, especially with a donut or donuts. The even better thing, is it only costs $3 for the large 20 oz. Round Rock Donuts also has other speciality drinks both hot and iced. The service is always splendid. Everyone is in a good mood and you do not need to tip. So the cost is really nice compared to other restaurants and coffee shops. There is drive-thru, window pick up, and outdoor seating. There is corn hole equipment set up for the kids while they have a donut. The bathrooms are pretty clean too. So if you need a sugar fix or just some MOJO, don't forget to give Round Rock Donuts a try! read more

My absolute favorite donut shop in Austin and nearby areas! Now that there are two stores, it seems like the lines are just slightly less long. Their service is also extremely quick and efficient! Although their glaze are their specialty, I personally love the chocolate glaze and blueberry cake donut. I always try something new when I come here, and this time I got the maple. Not my favorite but still a good donut! Side note, their kolaches are amazing and I strongly recommend getting one to try! read more

I really like their cream bismarck donut and the original glazed donuts. The coffee is horrible here. On weekends when they get busy they need the greeters walking in the drive through taking orders to have printed out menus. I never understood this. They do this at Chick Fil A too. Like how are people supposed to know exactly what they want without reviewing the menu? It creates congestion and people behind get annoyed with waiting longer if the workers make you wait to order until you finally pull up at the order screen. Management, please give your staff printed, laminated menus to have along with their mobile POS system to charge customers. Otherwise the donuts are great, especially when freshly made (warm), the workers are friendly, and the cold brew coffee is awful. read more

These are legendary donuts! I picked up the classic glazed and chocolate frosted, and they 100% live up to the hype! The glaze was warm and perfectly sweet. This is the kind of donut you eat and immediately understand why people make special trips for them. The chocolate frosted was rich and delicious. Simple flavors done exceptionally well. Worth the line, worth the stop, worth the bit and every calorie! read more

We picked up our donuts later in the day, so they didn't taste really fresh. I have never had a kolache before and it wasn't up to my expectations. I'm sure going there in the morning, when they're fresh, is much better choice! read more

Round Rock Donuts, IMHO, is an iconic yet homegrown business that has flourished in every way. Let's get into one of my favorite donut spots of ALL TIME! ---- Pros: - The dough tho - The drive-thru is fast - Very fresh and warm - No gimmicks; Focused on taste - Two locations Side Notes: - OG store opens at 4.30 AM and closes at 6.30 PM - Cedar Park (CP) opens daily at 5.30 AM - Check times for CP location for closing times (Varies) - They do custom cakes, too (order) What We Got: - Dozen donuts (we chose vs assorted) - Donut holes (glazed) ---- Design/Space: We've been to both locations. The OG location in DT Round Rock has seating, but it's always busy. There is not much to see, but it feels like every other donut location. However, the drive-thru line keeps it moving (a well-oiled machine) at both locations. Drinks/Food: Round Rock Donuts stands out immediately for its signature golden-yellow color, which results from using fresh eggs in the dough instead of artificial coloring (winning!). Each donut is hand-rolled, cut, fried, and glazed, which gives it a distinct, pillowy texture--light and airy inside, with just the right amount of chew.  The classic glazed donut, eclair, and chocolate-iced donut are the favorites. They are served warm all day, and the glaze adds a delicate sweetness without overpowering the dough's rich, slightly savory flavor. Round Rock donuts melt in your mouth--soft, fluffy, and never too sweet or greasy. The taste is balanced, with a subtle depth that differentiates them from mass-produced donuts. Whether you go for the original glazed or one of their chocolate-iced or filled varieties, the focus is always on freshness and simplicity, letting the quality of the ingredients and the traditional recipe shine through. Staff: The staff was friendly and kind when you drove up or walked to order face-to-face. The Cedar Park location doesn't have an inside store you can walk into (the OG location in DT Round Rock does), just a drive-through (two lanes) and a walk-up order window. They serve up great donuts and have a positive attitude. Opportunities To Improve: The coffee game could improve, but you go there for the donuts. They are great there. Also, we're all human and prone to mistakes, so double-check the order to see if it's assorted and large. There have been a couple of times when I didn't get a specific donut that we ordered. It's not a big deal as it's an outlier, but it can happen. ---- Summary: Round Rock Donuts is a true local icon, known for its signature golden-yellow donuts made with fresh eggs and a focus on quality over gimmicks. The hand-rolled, pillowy donuts are always served warm and fresh, boasting a light, airy texture and perfectly balanced sweetness that sets them apart from the average donut shop. With fast drive-thrus at both the original downtown Round Rock and Cedar Park locations, friendly staff, and a no-nonsense approach that lets the taste speak for itself, this spot delivers a consistently standout experience, even if the coffee could use a boost, and the occasional order mix-up happens. For anyone craving classic, melt-in-your-mouth donuts, Round Rock Donuts is a must-visit. read more

Donuts are average, and the options of what are offered pale in comparison to the small shops in the area. The service is abhorrent though. Literally every time I have gone here, something is missing from my order. Not just one item, but multiple. That experience has never changed. No matter how many times I have gone back to get missing items, and have mentioned this happens very often. There are better donut shops in Leander and Cedar Park that have more options, and are reliable with their service. read more

I am so pumped to have a RR donuts in Cedar Park! Why? Because the original location has lines out the door and cars idling in the drive through FOR-EV-OR (Sandlot voice). Round Rock Donuts are known for their orange color, which comes from the fresh eggs used in their batter. The bakery has been using the same ingredients and recipe since 1926, and the donuts are made by hand. The great glazed donut isn't the only sweet thing that this bakery has to offer, but it's certainly the one thing that piques the interest of first-time Texas visitors. In reality, Round Rock Donuts has more to offer than just donuts and coffee, and everything they're placing in their display case is worth the trip. It's a cliche phrase, but everything is bigger and better in Texas. It's true for our ranches, towers, high school football stadiums and even our donuts. And in line with the 'bigger and better' moniker, Round Rock Donuts is known for the Texas Sized Donut that has really created a buzz outside of the state. Many people come from all over just to have a donut that is literally the size of their heads. These donuts are by far superior to any donuts within the Central TX region. #supportlocal read more

The best strawberry donuts ever. Dangerously addicting. You've been warned. Oh, the chocolate and strawberry filled are pretty good too.

I love Round Rock donuts. I've been a long time customer for more than a decade. Their donuts are delicious, and the price for a dozen is a steal. I also enjoy getting their kolaches. Their donuts are so unique because of the color from the eggs in the dough. Most recently, we bought donuts because we wanted local flavors for our wedding. They literally FLEW off the donut wall and were an instant hit with our guests. My only regret was that I didn't buy enough! read more

There is so much more behind these AMAZING donuts!! This is a mom & pop local establishment and not only are the owners proud of that but so are the employees. They won't take tips. Why? They are proud to tell you it's because they LOVE working there and the owners take care of them. In a city where other companies lay off their long term employees right before retirement (think DELL, a once local company where service years USED to mean something but now folks are laid off after been there for 25+ years with amazing performance) without a blink.... Here at RR donuts they have a growing local company, on food network many times, and whose employees are speaking about the establishment with pride saying how long they have worked there and they don't need tips and don't want locals pushed out or anyone feeling like people are nice just for tips. They don't just say it, it is consistent every single time through ACTION. At RR donuts everyone has service with a smile and with extra goodies in the bag. Because the owners do the same for the employees. They look after their people. Not because they have to (any company can make $$$ and be cruel) but because they are just kind people who like to bring smiles to their customers and because they love their job. On top of all this, they have delicious coffee (please don't sleep on their coffee as you will be missing out) and of course amazing donuts!! I come here all the time and get donuts & the coffee carafe for visitors, construction working on my house, friends, family visiting. Thank you RR donuts employees and owners for never changing your core values and company mission & ethics!! It gives some of us old timers continued faith in a world where longevity, loyalty, and service are long gone!! Please support RR donuts and show the world that here in Central TX RR & Cedar Park area some of us still care about longevity, values, pride, smiles, and of course amazing food!! read more

I've ordered here a few times (mostly donut boxes and coffee carafe's for meetings) but I love this location because of the drive thru. When it gets busy, this location has the chick fil a drive through set up and is able to get people in and out very quickly. Donuts and Kolaches are always amazing (I could seriously eat a whole box of their classic glazed donuts, haha), and I've always gotten my order quickly-even with the coffee carafes. If you haven't heard about this donut place while visiting or if you live in Texas you're missing out. This is definitely one of Texas's famously known donut places. This particular location I ran into one of battle buddies at the VA. Miraculously we had VA appointments on the same day. So my buddy Lu was like let's go hit up Round Rock Donuts. I honestly thought he meant the downtown location but it was literally down the road from the Cedar Park VA Clinic. We order some donuts to go and a small coffee for me. My donuts were so delicious and I enjoyed the cup of Joe. The coffee was delicious and not too hot and not cold at all. For being an outside place for the customer experience, it wasn't bad at all. You have coveting when you're ordering. I am definitely looking forward to more future experiences with this place. read more

Be sure to always check your food before you leave. Just got home to realize not a single one of the half dozen glazed donuts I ordered were given to me. Really fun explaining that to my 2 and 4 year old. Not the first time this has happened at this location. You people have, objectively, one of the easiest jobs on the planet. How hard can it be to bag up a complete order and make sure the customer has everything they ordered before they drive off? Might benefit the business to ensure employees can read and write and count before serving customers. It is infuriating that a job so simple can be done so poorly. read more

The products from this donut shop are really really good BUT you don't always end up with what you thought you ordered. Check your bags and boxes before you leave. Today we ordered the same items as we did last time and the fruit kolaches are DELICIOUS!!! Last time we got some fruit filled dough (like a Bismark) but no frosting or powdered sugar and they were a big disappointment. Brought it up to a manager today. The Round Rock donuts (glazed yeast donuts) are served warm -omg they are scrumptious - and so are all of the others we've tried. The kolaches with the weenies inside are also very good and served warm. Even though the order gets goofed up it's usually a tasty surprise! read more

One of the best parts about living in NORTH Austin's suburbs. These donuts are made fresh daily and they are hot when served. Don't let the color steer you away. They are more yellow than white. When you bite into them, they just melt. The cinnamon roll is another one of our favorites as it's a large size for a very reasonable price. Plenty amount of icing and can definitely be shared amongst two (if you rather). Their frozen coffee is also good as it's the right amount of sweetness . Personally, never had a bad experience. The workers are always friendly in the service fast. read more
