This is a standard Grand Donut shop. They have the regular selection of yeast donuts with a small selection of cake donuts. They also sell breakfast croissant sandwiches and kolaches, as well as cinnamon rolls and breakfast tacos. The donuts are fresh and soft; the cinnamon roll I bought was particularly tasty heated and covered with butter! Service was fine. There wasn't a rush of customers, but the employee was direct and was moving us along. It's in a small strip center on a road, so parking is easy right in front. I'd like to note that there is a surcharge if you spend less than $5 on a credit card. read more

This is our go-to donut spot in Leander-we've been coming here for years. Staff is always incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they have a wide variety of breakfast options. We're talking Donuts, Kolaches, Breakfast Tacos, and more. We came recently and I love to see that they're now making kid themed donuts! My son is a huge Spider-Man fan, and he was THRILLED when we walked in-they had a Spider-Man donut waiting for him. Love this spot! read more

Super fast and great selections! The employees are quick and friendly to get you your morning donut runs. read more

Nothing special..maybe one level above grocery store donuts. Not a big selection, dried out, not fresh..the kolache I tried was a cheese hotdog. Again everything just kind of average but the price is fair to match. read more

Did not arrive until 11:30am when selection is limited - aware of that limitation. Cake donuts were still available but were so dry that they literally needed to be washed down with a coffee. Apple fritters and cinnamon rolls were good. Will try it again because they're usually good. read more

Great fresh donuts. They now make donuts with a ring pop in the middle that my kids love, super unique and fun for the kids!

So I checked online to see when they opened, it said 5am. I thought cool I have lots to do today. I show up at 5:15, they are closed. I see people inside, they notice me and indicate they will open at 6. (BTW the hours posted on the door said 5am as well. ) Strike one. Against my better judgment I return at 6. They have an extremely limited supply of donuts. I ask when they would have my favorites. In an hour they say. Really?? Strike 2. So I decide to get some less desirable (IMHO) donuts. She says oh you can't use a debit card for less than $5 (my purchase $4+) Would you like more of the donuts you really didn't want in the first place?? (Ok the last part was my paraphrasing her statement. ) Strike 3 I'm out. Won't be going back to Not So Grand Donuts. The worst part was the nonchalant attitude from both of the people working. read more

Tried to order 1 dozen blueberry cake donuts. Lady told me "We don't have those." I pointed at them and said "Yes you do. They are right there." Lady said "I can't sell them all to you. I can only sell you 8." I said "But you have 12, that's what I want." I don't think they understand the concept of making a profit. I tried to help them. My husband drove by 2 hours later and the 4 lonely donuts were still there. read more

Love the place, good donuts. I could be bias as it is the place I went to as a kid. But good nonetheless

Delicious donuts, we will try and stop by in the morning before we head 45 minutes to Hutto to drop them off at my friends moms house because she prefers them that much They are generous with the icing, the quality is delicious and the price is fair My brother love loves their jumbo kolaches I appreciate that the lady at the front has always been pleasant and positive even early early in the morning and when I don't know what I want or change my mind. Thank you. read more

It's nice to have a donut shop a lot closer to my house now. Makes Sunday mornings easier when the craving hits but neither of us want to travel an hour round trip to satisfy our sweet tooth. The donuts here are pretty good too. I like the cinnamon twists in particular. They have a plain one and one rolled in sugar. I suggest getting both (that's what I do). Their apple fritter is also good (Shipley's is better) and my husband is a huge fan of their cake donuts. They are crispy on the outside but light and airy inside. The maple cake flavor is his favorite. The have donut holes, kolaches, and even breakfast tacos as well. I've tried the tacos twice now and am not a fan. I don't like the plastic they wrap them in because the taste soaks into the taco. I prefer tacos wrapped in foil to avoid that and keep them warm. I also didn't like the taste of the bacon they use. It was almost musky which was very odd, but certainly not fresh and crispy. The tortillas were hard and on the stale side so I would stick to the donuts. They have another location in Leander off 183 which was the first one I went to, but again it's awesome to actually have something convenient to us for a change. The prices are great which is also a major plus. read more

Great donuts and super friendly service. We got a mix of cake donuts and loved them all. And the lady was so friendly, I will definitely be coming back. read more

First of all, while the donuts here are quite yummy, my favorite being the plain glazed filled with Bavarian cream...Mmmmm...I truly almost strictly come here for their kolaches! They are so delicious, and while there is a little more breading than I personally care for, my mouth is ALWAYS happy when I eat one!!! The sweetness of the bread dances nicely with the savory sausage and cheese!!! What I am the most impressed with though; is one of the young ladies who works there. I do not want to assume I know where she is from, but I struggle to communicate with her, just how awesome she is! She never stops moving. She is super efficient, kind and polite. She is there to work and be hospitable. I always hope she is the one to assist me, simply because of how efficient and polite she really is. The fact that she is probably still learning English but also working her tail off in the best way she can right now...all that I can say is, if I were a business owner, I would hire her in a second!!! read more

Service is always kind. We love their donuts and their caramel iced coffees in the morning! It's never crazy busy so we enjoy this location.

Great donuts but the lady that runs the counter is impossible to deal with. She is very rude. I ordered ten donuts and she would not even give me a box! She insisted on stuffing it in bags. The next time I went I told her ahead of time I want my fancy donuts in a box. She refused unless I ordered a dozen. I was ordering half a dozen of cinnamon rolls and fritters and she still wanted to stuff them in a bag. read more

Stale, couldn't even eat them. Counter person kept getting things wrong ... won't be going back.

Tried calling to have large order (3 dozen) ready at opening and no answer. I did this because I was told last time at counter to do so they would know what to have frosted. Go to location. Door says opens at 5:00 am. Wait until 5:06. Still not open. Call there other location to order. Tell them am on my way that am sitting in parking lot of other location. They so no problem. But then there was when I arrived I was told a 10-20 minute wait. No time to wait. No donuts :( Sad customer that will fin other donut place for future use. And sad coworks looks like it will be a bagel day read more

I took a star away for the difficulty getting into the location and parking. I know they don't control the traffic and small parking lot, but as they say; location location location. Its not a bad location, per say, just not an easy access location. The donuts are great. My son loves the chocolate covered twist with sprinkles. A slightly crispy outside makes them perfect. If you're lucky enough to get one that has been close to the cinnamon sugar ones, you get an added bonus. The kolaches are alright. In my opinion there is a bit too much bread - or not enough sausage. We ordered the sausage and cheese. Frankly I would have liked a bit more cheese. It was almost non existent. Overall, we will continue to go there. The location issue and lack of filling in the kolache is not enough of a problem to make us drive further to get donuts. read more

Great kolaches and donuts! I go here at least once a week on the way to work , sometimes on Sunday. They are always friendly and have a pretty good Variety too. Glad a good donut place is close by! read more

Do not go to this place! Asian woman behind the counter was absolutely rude! I asked to speak with the owner and she said "I am the owner" bugs flying around in the kolache cases, she does not care! Wouldn't serve me coffee because it was "too late" to make a fresh cup. The sign on the door says open until 1:00 and she was ready to close shop at 12:30 by acting like she didn't have time for my business. Never ever going to this place again, there are far better places in Leander. Will be contacting the health department about the bugs and roaches. read more

On a brisk sunny morning this place hits the spot! I love their old fashioned donuts! Service is quick, friendly, and prices reasonable. I'm sitting in their sunny storefront now enjoying my coffee and sugar-fix, and people are bustling in and out of here with smiles. I think donuts are such a treat and reminiscent of childhood, when you could eat a donut without the shame of calories consumed--this place captures that guilt-free time for me. This is a great place to grab a quick dozen donuts for a lazy Sunday, or for a Monday morning pick-me-up. read more

I'm 8 month pregnant and as I was walking in to buy doughnuts, I lost my balance and fell and scrapes my knee. Instead of the asking me if I was ok the young girl at the encounter was just standing there and laughing. Horrible way to treat your customers! read more
