I have eaten here several times. I use to frequent it a lot during the first year of moving to Round Rock until I discovered some other donut shops. Their donuts are good as are their fruit or sausage n cheese kolaches. Their breakfast tacos are not that great. I will start off with the donuts here are great! They're the best I've found in the area and melt in your mouth. Yum! But the past few times I have come I've just been let down. Today the woman stuck two hot chocolate donuts in the bag and the icing came off. I ate one, but it was a big mess. We also ordered a ham/egg/cheese croissant and 2 sausage and cheese kolaches. I pulled away from the drivethru and grabbed my croissant and there were a few things wrong with it. First of all it wasn't even on a croissant, but on a piece of cold bread. Also, the ham, egg, and cheese were all icebox cold. My fiancé's kolaches were also cold, I guess I shouldn't have assumed they would be heated up. I'm not going to lie, we will definitely be back. Hands-down the best donut shop in Georgetown! The name has changed to Good Day Donuts. Their regular sized sausage, cheese and jalapeño kolaches are as good as it gets, but they also have jumbo kolaches that I've yet to try. Their donuts are always fresh, delicious and perfectly cooked. My favorite is the filled long john. They also have really fun and inventive specialty donuts some days. I've never had anything over- or under-cooked here, and my family has been coming here for a decade. I also love their coffee! It's brewed slightly strong but with no bitterness. I didn't expect a high class donut shop when I drove in. But I at least expected decent donuts. They received a star because their glazed donuts were pretty good. I ordered a dozen donuts: 4 glazed, 8 sprinkles, and 4 chocolate, 4 gluten free donuts, and 3 breakfast tacos, The frosting for the sprinkles looked like it was cake frosting with sprinkles thrown on top. Uh, what? They were stuck together and when pulled out of the box, the donuts came out with either frosting on both sides or none at all. Their gluten free donuts are horrendous. It's great that they provided the option, but seriously, taste test it before you serve it! They were hard as rocks, dry as dirt, and had absolutely no flavor. I was told they were glazed, but they were not. They had some sugar stuff on it that even on its own didn't have any flavor. It's sugar! How do you drain the flavor from that? I cook gluten free daily and thought it would be nice to have a reprieve for breakfast, but nope! Now, the tacos. They're not tacos. They're burritos. And definitely not worth the money. I ordered two of the bacon, potato, egg, and cheese and one sausage, egg, and cheese. I got bacon and egg, but no potatoes or cheese. And I got sausage and egg with some kind of sweetness, but no cheese. One taco, I had two strips of bacon. And the other had half a strip. Very inconsistent considering they're pre-made, which shouldn't be the case. I couldn't even check the tacos because of how she packaged everything. Plus I got overcharged by $2. Which I didn't find out until I got home. So basically, I paid almost $20 for 4 decent glazed donuts and a bunch of garbage. Awesome sauce. Skip this place and find somewhere else to go. read more

I went in at 9:45am (the shop closes at 1) and they were already almost sold out of everything and apparently had no plans of refilling any of their cases. Nonetheless, I went ahead and purchase was few donuts they had left and a croissant sandwich. The donuts were crunchy... Like they had been sitting there for days and the frosting had gone stale CRUNCHY!! The sandwich, McDonalds has better. The end. The shop\ seemed cluttered and dirty. This is your standard neighborhood donut shop but they deliver great quality and definitely great variety. They had the peanut crusted chocolate cake donuts that I can't get everywhere and those are my favorite. And the service was great. The most cheerful donut lady I have ever encountered. She might have been sipping from the glaze or something because she was amped up and smiling from ear to ear and was treating us like the most important customers she'd ever had. Cool stuff. There are a plethora of donut shops in Georgetown and I have been to many. I am a regular frequenter of this location and the food is always consistent. Second, I've been to the second Daylight donuts off Williams Drive, and it is nowhere close to being as good as this place. This place has my all-time favorite apple fritters - they rock, not too sweet and packed with a big apple punch. Also, I'm a big fan of the jalapeno kolaches because they are packed with lots of spicy jalapeno and the bread is soft and chewy. Props to this donut shop. read more

We were driving by Georgetown on our way to Waco and found this place on yelp. It was close to I-35 so we decided to stop and grab something for the road. These are the best kolaches we've had outside of West. We tried potato, bacon, cheese and jalapeño; egg and breakfast sausage; and the more traditional sausage and cheese. They melt in your mouth. On Monday the 14th of August, I had to take a drive up to Georgetown on business. Since it was an early morning appointment, I stopped at Daylight Donuts, 920 N Austin, Avenue, Georgetown, Texas 78625 (512)8649817. The donut shop serves donuts and coffee with some other assorted beverages and juices available in the cooler. I had a couple of donuts (cinnamon bun and a raspberry filled) with a cup of coffee. The coffee was hot and appeared fresh. The cinnamon bun was about average, but the raspberry filled was sort of stale with poor tasting filling. The shop was clean and the staff were friendly. The prices were well within the normal range. This place will work in a pinch, but I would rate it in the lower third of the places that I have frequented. I like the small donut shops as a rule and prefer to give them the business, but if there were others in the area, would recommend giving them a try. read more

Good donuts, friendly service, good prices. I love the kalaches and donuts. Only reason they didn't get a better score is because their white cream filling tastes more like vanilla frosting, and I love eclairs, but not these.
