Other Yelpers have had better luck with this place…read more What I had was unabashedly awful. A grim sausage kolache. The casing was warm and wonderful and delightful. The sausage and cheese inside were cheap and tasted cheap. The sausage was significantly worse than what you could get at an HEB. I was not happy. The coffee i got was undrinkable. After two sips, I left the rest of my cup on the table. My chocoolate frosted raised donut tasted great. The donut made me happy while I was eating it. When I got in the car - I was suddenly not so happy. I got a huge bad chemical taste. The chemical taste is something you typically get when something is made with bottom of the line artificial flavoring. The sugar in the donut and the bulk of the dough covered up the chemical taste upon eating ... But it could not cover up the chemical taste once the dough was out of the way and the flavorings were still in my mouth and throat. An altogether unpleasant experience I do not want to repeat. * * * I have now had two bad donut experiences in a row. Voodoo Donuts - where the donut itself tasted marvelous but the calorie count was over the top ridiculous. Country Donuts where the calorie count was completely reasonable but the donut itself tasted wretched. The stock of Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme are going way up in my book.

Today the woman stuck two hot chocolate donuts in the bag and the icing came off. I ate one, but it was a big mess. We also ordered a ham/egg/cheese croissant and 2 sausage and cheese kolaches. I pulled away from the drivethru and grabbed my croissant and there were a few things wrong with it. First of all it wasn't even on a croissant, but on a piece of cold bread. Also, the ham, egg, and cheese were all icebox cold. My fiancé's kolaches were also cold, I guess I shouldn't have assumed they would be heated up. I'm not going to lie, we will definitely be back. But I'm going to specifically request they heat everything up and won't order chocolate donuts if I'm on the run next time

People bring some leftovers into work, and they vanish into thin air. I can't help but grab a few when I come by. They always have the display cases stocked with some of the most delightful and incredible pastries, from, of course, their scones, but also sometimes homemade pop tarts, apple fritters, donuts, and more. I've had some of their croissants for lunch as well, and I think they are absolutely killer. I have one of their lunch boxes before at a work event, and I was impressed! Their coffee is pretty simple, but still great in a pinch. They offer plenty of flavors and syrups and always have some specials rolling around to try. I come here every once in a while for a morning or mid-day pick-me-up, and those cinnamon or chocolate chip scones are to die for. RIYL: The best pastries in Hippoville.

We were excited to try this cafe after seeing the strong reviews, but unfortunately our experience…read moredidn't match the hype. My husband and I ordered two iced vanilla lattes with almond milk, and both drinks were difficult to drink. The espresso tasted very burnt and overly acidic, and one latte was especially watered down due to having very little ice. We ended up throwing both away, which was disappointing after spending around $15. As people who genuinely love coffee and enjoy supporting local cafes, we don't expect perfection, but we do expect some consistency and care in preparation. Hoping this was just an off day, because the space and reviews made us really want to love it.
