Store #FC6305, 3250 E Palm Valley Blvd, Round Rock, TX I placed an order on www.shipleydonuts.com for pick up. The order was ready when I arrived - which I thought was great. When I got home, I realized one of the items was wrong. I ordered an egg and cheese kolache. They gave me a sausage, egg and cheese kolache. The person this was for is a vegetarian and cannot eat sausage. This item been trashed, as no one else likes sausage I called the store (#FC6305). The first time I called, someone answered and hung up on me. The second time I called it rang and went to a voicemail that is not set up. The third time someone answered and they were very confused why I was calling. They could not comprehend that I was given the wrong item. I kept repeating the issue. Eventually, they told me that they only carry sausage, egg, and cheese kolaches - so that's what they gave me. It doesn't matter that I ordered egg and cheese. I complained that if they don't care this item, I shouldn't have been able to order it. And that they never told me at the store that they couldn't fulfill this item to give me another option at that time. It's inappropriate to charge someone for an item and give them something different - without their knowledge. This person did not care. This clearly wasn't a mistake; it's their business practice. The manager, An, blamed me for ordering through DoorDash. I told her several times that I ordered through their website. Then she blamed me for ordering online, because "the website has all items served at all stores. Not just our store." She repeated that only carry sausage, egg and cheese so that's what they gave me. She sees no issue with being given the wrong item, or that the person is vegetarian and can't eat it. She went to talk to someone else (a guy); I was expecting a solution. When she came back she said "what do you want?!?" as if she forget why I was on the phone. They refused to offer a refund or any solution. She told me to call someone else. I called corporate and the agent I spoke to filed a claim. She was yawning through the entire call. I've never experienced something like that... I gave her my contact info and when she repeated it back, it was incorrect. So, I don't expect to hear back from corporate. I wish this store had just told me that they didn't have the item that I ordered when I picked it up. This could have been resolved very easily. The kolache cost just $4. The fact that they do not care and don't see the problem with knowingly serving the wrong item is my real issue. The donuts are okay. Coffee was awful. With so many coffee shops and donut shops to choose from, I would recommend going to another place. read more

It's been a while since I've been to a shipley's because we normally just go to RR Donuts or a local neighborhood location. But wow a lot has changed! The bullseyes were both flat as a pancake and smaller than the size of a regular glazed. I mean for $2 and some change please give me my moneys worth. Also, the regular glazed tasted like they were fried in old oil and the big smoked sausage kolache, which wasn't a sausage at all, was rubbery. If it's a hot dog wiener just say that! This is why franchises like these are forced to close multiple locations or just disappear all together. Customers are getting tired of this shrinkflation crap and just overall horrible ability to supply people with a great consumable product for a reasonable cost. RR donuts here we come! My favorite donut place does not deliver, but Shipley's Donuts offers multiple options for delivery. I decided to go with DoorDash and I almost added everything on the menu to my order lol! This morning I woke up craving some sweets! We ordered the donut holes, glazed donuts, blueberry glazed cake donuts, lemon filled donuts, Bavarian filled donut and sausage, jalapeño and cheese kolaches. The food was great! Everything I ordered was there. I have not tried the Bavarian filled donut before. It reminded me of a birthday cake. The vanilla filling took me back to eating a cake. Everything I had was good. O inhaled the donut holes!!! Delicious. I like how they actually put cheese and jalapeño inside the kolache. However the sausage inside of the kolache was rather small. I tried the Big Earl sausage with cheese and jalapeño kolache and the sausage is bigger so it doesn't feel like you're eating more bread. Still delicious with cheese and jalapeño inside. My kids and I love this place (this location in particular). It's our sunday tradition. Donut Hole Sunday!! They love to watch them making and icing all the donuts through the huge plate glass windows. It's always clean and the donuts are the best. Don't pass on the sausage and cheese kolaches. No one makes them better and TRUSSST, I've tried them everywhere. The staff is also always so friendly and fast. I heart Shipleys mucho gusto. Jalapeño kolaches are awesome! Actually all the kolachies are good. The donuts are ok. I am very sad to write this post because I have visited this establishment for years. But it has all been destroyed in one single moment by an employee. This 17-year-old child was left alone on a Saturday afternoon. And when I placed my order in the drive-through and he provided the incorrect cashback change. When I corrected him he quickly became flustered and belligerent. He slammed the drive-through window And proceeded to scream profanities and vulgarity while getting my order and at the same time slamming equipment. When I told him that I heard every word quickly became defensive and started attacking me verbally . Literally did not get a single thing correct: - glazed cake donut: received plain cake donut - country sausage w/ egg kolache: received big earl with cheese after they had already charged us and then told us they were out - two plain big earl kolaches: received big earl with cheese There was also a hair in one of the kolaches. This is an awesome place for some great donuts! The service is great and outstanding. The staff is very friendly. The facility as a whole is very clean and welcoming as you walk in. They have a lot of seating for a groups and families. There is a spot where you can sit and let your kids watch how they make the donuts. The prices are reasonable too in my opinion. It was just myself and two of my three children at the time. I only spent around $10.92 for two donuts a piece and some minutemaid juice drinks each. The look on my kids faces w a hilarious after they ate the blue and red frosting donuts. The cool thing about their donuts is they are not greasy like the rests of the places around the local area. I grew up outside of Houston and was raised on Shipley Do-Nuts. It's pretty much the only Do-Nut place I knew until I went away to college. Eventually, I moved to Austin and found out that there were NO SHIPLEY DO-NUTS locations here! WHAT?!? After a few years one location opened in far S. Austin and I was happy! Sure it was about a 20min drive, but it was worth it every time. Then I moved to N. Austin and found a new location opening just about 10-15min away...even better! A few months ago, I moved to Round Rock and I'm only about 5min away from the nearest Shipley! My wife said that if this continues, the next time we move it will be into a little place above a Shipley...such a heavenly idea! So anyway, go there...get whatever you thinks looks good. It will be delightful! I tend to get 2 white iced coconut and 1 plain glazed...add a kolache if I'm really hungry. Often one of the donuts gets left for a midday snack and is just fantastic then too. read more

I'm sitting here at not-yet-7 OClock trying to decide whether or not to clothe myself and go to Shipleys. This location is great because they are SO NICE and the donuts are always fresh. If you've gone to Shipleys for decades, like many Texans, then you know that how good they are can really depend on the location. Some places will hold onto them all day and night until they sell. But I've only ever had freshly made donuts and kolaches here. So now, should I get up and go, or for crying out loud, have a Saturday morning sleep in? Hmmmm. I manage to stop into this Shipley once a month or so (sometimes more, ya know, coz sometimes donuts ~have~ to happen), and every single time I've stopped in, the staff has been really phenomenal. I mean, really truly great; there are so few places I've ever been that are this consistent (is it weird that 2 of them are donut shops?...the other is Round Rock Donuts, if you were curious). I've literally never sat in a line at the drive-thru, and I've been through at all different times. They're crazy fast, and even then, they still manage to be super friendly. The donuts here are always a delight, and the staff has always gotten our order right, and in every instance I've patronized the store, they've also thrown in a free fresh glazed donut. My go-tos here are the blueberry glazed cake (amazing, and while different than, still tied for #1 in the blueb cake spot for me w/RR Donuts) and the cinnamon rolls. Other delights include the long johns/filled bars, chocolate filled donuts, and Bavarian filled. My husband loves their sausage and cheese kolaches from time to time, too. The only thing(s) that'd make this Shipley better is if they were 24hr, like the Shipley that was close-ish to our place before we moved here (seriously, why doesn't Austin have more 24hr donut places???), and if the Shipley chain in general would start carrying vegan donuts. As far as packaging and other potentially unnecessary items food places are prone to give out: I like that I can compost the bags or boxes, and the last few months they've started asking if you need napkins or anything else beside just the donuts/whatever food you order, so they're not just handing you extra paper or potentially plastic products you don't want or need, which is super cool. read more
