Yummy! Always my absolute fave donut place. And SO happy this location has butterflies! Gentleman who helped me was very nice, too.

I manage to stop into this Shipley once a month or so (sometimes more, ya know, coz sometimes donuts ~have~ to happen), and every single time I've stopped in, the staff has been really phenomenal. I mean, really truly great; there are so few places I've ever been that are this consistent (is it weird that 2 of them are donut shops?...the other is Round Rock Donuts, if you were curious). I've literally never sat in a line at the drive-thru, and I've been through at all different times. They're crazy fast, and even then, they still manage to be super friendly. The donuts here are always a delight, and the staff has always gotten our order right, and in every instance I've patronized the store, they've also thrown in a free fresh glazed donut. My go-tos here are the blueberry glazed cake (amazing, and while different than, still tied for #1 in the blueb cake spot for me w/RR Donuts) and the cinnamon rolls. Other delights include the long johns/filled bars, chocolate filled donuts, and Bavarian filled. My husband loves their sausage and cheese kolaches from time to time, too. The only thing(s) that'd make this Shipley better is if they were 24hr, like the Shipley that was close-ish to our place before we moved here (seriously, why doesn't Austin have more 24hr donut places???), and if the Shipley chain in general would start carrying vegan donuts. As far as packaging and other potentially unnecessary items food places are prone to give out: I like that I can compost the bags or boxes, and the last few months they've started asking if you need napkins or anything else beside just the donuts/whatever food you order, so they're not just handing you extra paper or potentially plastic products you don't want or need, which is super cool. read more

Visited this store a few weeks ago with my family. Staff was very friendly and welcoming! Prices were good. My first time at the Round Rock location. Overall if you are craving a really good donut I would recommend! I will definitely be a returning customer. read more

Round Rock Donuts beats them out on the pure glazed donuts, but everything else, Shipley has the edge. Bear claws, fritters, eclairs, creme filled, are awesome. Donuts are somewhat subjective, but these are some of the best around. read more

Nobody comes close. This place is a love/hate relationship since it's sooo good and not the best for you. Moderation. Keep it up!

Let me start out by saying we love Shipley's. We love their kolaches and their cake donuts (glazed blueberry...yummm!) and their chocolate whipped cream filled donuts. Today was our first time visiting this location and I was less than impressed. While the kolaches were warm, the donuts were very bland. One of the whipped cream filled donuts had no filling at all! The young man who was helping us was less than interested in helping us. He smashed all the donuts together in the box so half the icing was on the box (icing is the best part sometimes!) and all the donut tastes blended together (blueberry with maple-bacon with chocolate...blech). It was just a very blah experience from what is normally an awesome place. read more

Save your money. Better off going to Round Rock donuts or even Dunkin donuts. Donut places should be able to sell decent coffee, here I think I got hot water with some cream added. And a glazed chocolate cake donut is not a chocolate frosted cake donut. Get it together Shipley. read more

Not only do I thoroughly enjoy the donuts and kolaches at Shipley's, I am more impressed with the hospitality and friendliness of the staff. Always greeted with a smile, and even a quick stop through the drive thru is enjoyable. Never a trouble to swing by to grab breakfast for the office early mornings. read more

I think I like the other donut places better. It's a little too sweet. Their blueberry cake donut was too subtle. Couldn't taste that blueberry in their cake donuts. Also a little too sweet for my taste. Had the cream cheese filling: tasted too much icing. Had the apple: barely tasted apple. read more

Okay Shipley Don-nuts. You went way over the top and now we love you even more. I called the manager and asked for something custom-made. The manager was incredibly sweet, never said no, and they matched our vision of yummy donuts by putting it right in our hands. The kolaches were also as good as can be...love those too. (I'm being intentionally vague about what we requested for fear they might get multiple requests and tell us no in the future.). I hope they add it to the menu though! read more

We just had a very poor experience at the Round Rock Shipley's donuts. We arrived at 11:00, one hour prior to closing. From the time we and some other customers arrived, it was apparent the staff, an older lady and a teenage girl, had no interest in serving the customers. They were only interested in preparing to close the store. The selection of donuts was okay, but there were very few colaches. The older lady said she was not going to make any more colaches since the store was closing in an hour. Then she proceeded to grab the last sausage and cheese colache, which we had already ordered but the girl was too slow to grab, for a drive through customer, who had not been waiting nearly as long as we had. Good donuts, do NOT come even 10 minutes till close for last minute donuts, they won't bother to serve you. 10 minutes ......till close

For some reason since the new owners took over they rarely have apple fritters. Good thing is when they do, they're the best in the area. Bad news, they don't have them very often. Last 4 times I've gone they didn't have them 3 times and today they ran out. read more

Decent donuts, good selection, clean and comfortable, friendly staff...they even let me bring my small dog in while I kept him in the carrier. I know some places won't even let you have pets in their outdoor area so I really appreciated they didn't make a fuss. read more

Been going here forever. Quality is falling off. Paid for several Big Earl Kolaches. Got home and only one was the Big Earl. The rest were the small kolaches. Former employees used to care more. May stop going here. read more
