Go here! Loved this place for several reasons. 1) it's close. 2) quick drive thru 3) happy server 4) Locally owned 5) Chocolate donut is great! (That's my favorite...) What needs help: for me the croissant wasn't the best but I understand it's a DONUT shop not a French cafe. It's really strange bc the donuts really do taste like there are chemicals in them. The service is great, the guy at the window is so nice, but I'm not the first review to mention the chemicals so I have to wonder why they don't fix it. There's absolutely no way they haven't experienced it, they have to know what's causing it. I've noticed it especially on the chocolate glaze. The kolaches are good, but for the sake of health and with so much competition there's no way I'd go back. We noticed the taste and always joked about it when we passed but today finally read the reviews and see we aren't the only ones who are aware. read more

We've been regulars here for years. We love their Pig in the Blankets. My husband and I get the large size with jalepenos, the kids get the small sizes. My husband and son also love the apple fritter. They also have croissant sandwiches. Sometimes I go ahead and buy by the dozen since all this stuff reheats great. I appreciate the drive thru for sure! It's perfect for on the go and right off the main highway. When we are in other towns- we expect the same of other donut shops- but they seldom compare to this Donut Palace in LH!! read more

First time trying this since moving to Liberty Hill. Husband and I each had a different donut with chocolate glaze. We both tasted a chemical of some sort just can't put my finger on what it is. Frequent customer here that just became former customer. Family in from out of town and some went to get food and the kolaches were shriveled and looked day old at best. Apple fritters flat, hard, dried. Old fashion glazed dry. Took pictures of kolaches but didn't get one of the fritters. Called store and lady said she'd tell the owner. Also told me I could come back and show them and I asked to text a picture and she said no phone to send them to. I wasn't about to drive back to show her as she didn't offer better said they were all the same. So I told her I'd leave a pic on Yelp so owner could see. She said thank you so I'll post a picture. I ordered a egg croissant and holy crap it was soggy and tasted completely fake it was disgusting couldn't even finish it !
