And…read moreI haven't been here quite a while, was thinking to get a couple of donuts, but needed up getting half dozen for $13.50. They weren't as big as I expected, so 6 pieces were just right. I would recommend if you haven't tried yet. In case you prefer less sweet, just let the staff know, to put less toppings. Donut itself tasted very good, soft, and they actually make dough themselves. Not sure if it's from mix or what, but definitely fresh.

Duck Donuts is fantastic for hand-dipped, warm donuts!…read more FAST FACTS: * Parking - plenty available in the lot around the building * Online ordering - pickup and delivery available on their website * Seasonal flavors available for donuts and drinks * Nutritional and allergen information available on their website SERVICE - I scheduled an order for pick up the night before and it was ready before the scheduled time. The workers were all pleasant and it was a positive pick up experience! One donut was incorrect but otherwise it was great. PRICING - The total was $14.35 after tax ($0.85) but before tip for a "Build Your Own" half dozen ($13.50). I think the pricing is very reasonable for the quality of donuts! CINNAMON PUMPKIN SPICE (7/10) - The pumpkin flavor is only in the buttercream but it has the perfect level of "spice". We ordered a glazed pumpkin spice but were given this one instead. Still, I'd order this one again. BACON IN THE SUN (9/10) - This was a fantastic maple bacon donut... the chopped bacon is real bacon and the salted caramel drizzle adds the perfect amount of saltiness paired with the bacon. I'd order this one again. PEANUT BUTTER PARADISE (7/10) - The peanut butter icing and chocolate drizzle get very thin since it's served warm but it's delicious and has a strong peanut butter flavor. I'd order this one again. CHOCOLATE EXPLOSION (7/10) - This one is for the chocolate lovers... you get chocolate icing with Oreo cookie pieces and a hot fudge drizzle. I'd oder this again. THE BOARDWALK (8/10) - This is basically a cookies and cream donut but better because it also has powdered sugar. I'd order this again! CINNAMON BUN (7/10) - This one is basic but good... it's basically just coated in cinnamon sugar with a vanilla drizzle. I'd probably skip this one next time. This was my first time trying Duck Donuts but I will definitely be back and recommend it to others. I love how dense the actual donuts are and there are so many flavor options to choose from. Plus, you can build your own by choosing a coating, topping, and drizzle.

Yes the price point is two dollars each, but I've had the same priced kolaches with more cheese and more filling. The exterior is fluffy, has a strong buttery flavor, nice and soft. The ham was a complete letdown. As you can see, it's maybe two thin slices or even one slice rolled into the kolache with the little amount of cheese. What saved the experience was sausage, love the cheese and the jalapeños, an amazing bite when you bite into it all at once. But again, there's just not enough cheese not enough jalapeño and not enough sausage. They're really good for children not for adults.

There was only one man at the counter at first, so things progressed pretty slowly, which was a bit annoying, but understandable. At last a second guy came to help and that sped things up a great deal-I could tell the original guy was grateful for the help. Fast forward to the food-we got a dozen assorted donuts, a croissant sandwich and 4 kolaches. The donut selection was really good, as was the selection for the more savory items. My kids tore into the donuts as soon as we got home, and they say they were fresh and delicious. I had an old fashioned donut with my coffee, and it hit the spot-it was crunchy where it should have been and soft in just the right parts. The kids reported that the yeast donuts were melt in your mouth good, and the hubby loved the ham and Swiss croissant. My family recommends this donut shop, for sure. Their location is easily accessible off 79, and the staff seemed friendly, even though they were slammed when we were there. Try 'em-I have confidence that you'll be pleased if you do.

The lemonades I was told were also really sweet so I couldn't have those either. Bummer. I realize it's not a requirement but I left disappointed because there wasn't really anything I could have there. They do have fridges full of pies, cookies, candied apples, and of course, the viral Dubai bars if you can have them. There were some knick-knacks, jelly and other items I didn't look at too closely.

First off the dessert pizza cookie was enormous in size (13+"), thick, and the artwork on it should be framed on display in a gallery. but alas all the retired US Army Green Berets and Family Members devoured it with only a few crumbs left. We 'bend-the-knee' to Abby, Tatiana, Hannah and the Bakery staff. - We also purchased and brought (3) dozen wonderfully and creatively decorated cookies for exchange. I got to tell you Sweet Eats Bakery cookies went so fast Vin Diesel would have been furious in his next iteration of the film franchise. It was so unbalanced competition and consumption to my chagrin, but at least I got to taste some of the delicacies that Abby and crew made before there was nothing left.
