Friendly counter service, & good selection, even late in the day…read more Since leaving my very favorite Donut shop behind when I moved from Folsom, CA to Manor, Texas, I've been searching for a new favorite Donut spot. It took me TWELVE years to find it. Twelve! To say I'm particular about certain types of food is an understatement. It's the curse of also being a cook/baker, myself, I guess. We happened semi-accidentally across Nathalie's. We made it in within the last hour they were open that particular weekday, & we still got everything we could've wanted. A Spicy Boudin Kolache. OMG! So well crafted & delicious (boy, were we happy to see this item in the case that day, since this was THE item that had us trekking from Manor to Cedar Park)! We also indulged in a Chocolate Old Fashioned (crisp exterior, a personal 'requirement' of mine), an Apple Fritter (a gift for my Son, it had a delectable pronounced Apple flavor), & the most impeccable Maple Glazed with Bacon Donut we've ever had. I'm thankful this place isn't closer to home. I would literally be here every day if it didn't cost me $9+ in Tolls to land on their doorstep. Lol If you haven't made your way to Nathalie's recently... get yourself over there. You won't be sorry. They have Breakfast Tacos, Kolaches, Breakfast Sandwiches, Drinks, & every Donut you can imagine...also cute tables to eat them at, both inside & out.

The inside is pretty small, but there's a few booths and some outdoor tables for those who do not want to just do grab and go. Prices are very reasonable and service is fast. I tried some donut holes and a sausage kolache and both were fine. Nothing super special, but it was nice to see a cinnamon sugar donut hole option, along with the glazed since that's not a flavor I see often for some reason. They also got tacos and sandos and all the breakfast things.

It's stale bread wrapped around a hot dog that tastes rancid. HEB frozen kolaches are better quality. Had to throw away so much food. The donuts tasted a day old and like they are made in oil they reheat and reuse way too many times. Instead of crediting items they may have been out of, they just gave us more of something else. Grub Hub took care of the that side of things but just the small bites I took were a complete waste of calories.

A…read moretopic of doughnuts came up and our friends from Austin said, we MUST try Round Rock Donuts while here in the Austin area. Being a lover of sweetie goodness, I can't pass up that recommendation. We probably let our eyes do the ordering because we probably got more than we should have. Before I forget, I have to give a shout out to Karen who took our very complicated orders, but she was so nice and friendly, she stepped out to hand us our order and made sure to give each of us a hug and one photo for the gram or Yelp. Super sweet lady that has been with the company for a very long time. As for my take on the Donuts or Doughnuts, these are definitely doughnuts to me because the dough was very light and fluffy with a very subtle sweet glaze. Just like most doughnuts, you have to eat it fresh or they lose their softness, fluffiness and sweetness. Day old doughnuts just do not taste the same, and Round Rock Donuts also do-nut hold their freshness the next day. I argue that Krispy Kreme are the only donuts I have ever had that are still soft the day after. I'm sure there are those who will disagree with me. Since we got it fresh, I'll rate the glazed donut a 7/10. If given a box of fresh round rock donuts, I will not say no thank you, but Thank you very much.

Doesn't seem like there's any difference in menu offerings, and my sandwich tasted the same as far as I can tell from when I've had it at the Lamar spot. Only small ding id give here is that it is a smaller space, particularly given there's no outdoor seating. They were very quiet when I went at an off time, but I could see it being a total zoo on a weekend morning. I generally keep the Lamar location as grab and go at peak times, and I'd recommend that even more strongly for this location

I ordered a chocolate glaze, a cinnamon sugar raise, and a raspberry filled, as well as a dozen donut holes. ($5.50ish) I definitely think the jelly donut was the star, they fill them to order and they have like 7-8 options. I do wish they had a powdered sugar option, instead of just a glazed. I think that would be even more amazing. None of them were too sickeningly sweet, and the chocolate only has a hint of chocolate flavor, but they do make a double chocolate cake, that looks yummy if you're wanting more chocolate flavor. My cinnamon sugar raised (which is what I came in for) is good. I'll likely be back to get one again the next time I have a donut craving. This is the best one I've found so far. I think they're worth a try if you're looking for something to bring in for work meetings or before school. Nothing too fancy like Duck, but good solid donuts at normal donut prices.

For full inspection information see the Austin Public Health website and create an account, honestly 78 seems generous based on the number of items cited.
