Meh... I'm not much of a donut guy but I got a kolache, it was okay, crappy, super fatty meat inside of it though. I paid something like $3.50 for a "Cappuccino," only to be told that I go over to a machine and push a button and it comes out. That was a real kick in the pants, you could've warned me of that... $3.50 for the worst coffee drink I've ever had in my 40 years. It didn't taste anything like coffee, more like watered down, hot chocolate flavored water... They gave me some free donut holes, which was nice, but they were just bleh. The "coffee" drink was so bad I just threw it out the window of my car like a dumb child, I didn't want to be anywhere near that drink or that near $4 waste of money. The perfect one stop shop for early morning donut/kolache/boba cravings. We were staying at the Udoscape Eco-Glamping Resort across the street and came to this area for gas. We loved how early their hours were (4AM-2PM) because we were able to pick up breakfast and a coffee slush. I loved that the slush was not super sweet (the ultimate Asian compliment) and the breading on the kolache was perfect - fluffy and flavorful. It's also an Asian-owned business! Staff were super helpful and kind and both the drinks and food came out fast. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area. read more

The donuts here are as good as anyplace...yes, even those places. The comments saying these are like grocery store donuts are just silly. These are small batch, family made donuts. Yes, sometimes they run out later in the day, but that's because they can't afford to throw their extra donuts out at the end of the day. The folks are super nice here. I go occasionally before they close. Sometimes they're out of donuts. Sometimes they throw in extra stuff for free. Place is yummy. read more

Tremendous Donuts!! All we had were the cake donuts, but they were out of this world good. Super fresh. I showed up one day at noon and they had one donut left. I asked what time they opened and they said 4AM. Too easy. Showed up the next morning at 3:55AM. Waited... until 4:20. At that time, someone finally opened up shop. When I asked for other donuts beside cake, she said they don't do that until 5:30 ‍. Can't make this up. So I got cake because that's all they had. Hours are from 4am - 2pm and they had a little bit of everything we purchased strawberry & raspberry filled donuts, kolaches, coffee milk tea, and croissant sandwiches. Also today happens to be thanksgiving and they were still open and so sweet, & by the time we made it back to the airbnb we realized they threw in free donut holes which was a really nice surprise!! read more

My first visit here and they were very nice. I ordered the strawberry banana slush with Boba at normal sweetness and it was delicious! Due to the promotion that they have going on until New Year's I got free donuts!!! Woot! I got a chocolate sprinkled one and a half dozen of donut holes. Brand New Just opened 2 days before Christmas. I got there right at 2pm when they were closing but they had some Kolaches left. A few tables inside and a cooler with some drinks. This is in the same location as that Xpress Chevron Station and Taqueria. I saw a sign that said minimum to use a credit card is $5. Since they are new they may stay open later. Absolutely amazing! The service was incredible, they were so friendly. They gave us recommendations and even gave us some free donuts. We had the smiling kolaches, the sausage and cheese kolache, the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit and some breakfast tacos and all of it was absolutely delectable! The donuts were some of the freshest donuts I've had in a long time. The Apple fritter was incredible, as well as the blueberry. Even the plain and simple donuts were good. I was very hungry and I was sad so I went here and bought a mango boba tea as well as a dozen chocolate donuts and I got a dozen donut holes and holy moly I be smiling sooo hard right now and it was 2 months ago. My husband & I recently moved to Lago Vista. It is a growing area but we were pleasantly surprised when we found out that the Smiling Donut offered kolaches & boba tea! The kolaches are the best my family has ever eaten & we moved here from Houston. The boba tea is also my favorite. The ask how sweet you want it which is something I've never been asked before but it's a great way to cut a few calories & it still tastes amazing! The donuts are so fresh & tasty! They just opened yesterday but you would never know it. Fully stocked. Super attentive and friendly service. Tried the BOBA tea which was really good and grabbed some croissant breakfast sandwiches too which was super convenient and they were GREAT! Already made so no wait. They were warm before the BOBA was ready. And they gave us 2 free donuts for the grand opening. Plus a gentleman walked in without a mask and they handed him one lickety split. No scolding.
