I love juice land, but I will never go to this location again. I brought my service dog in, he has papers and documents as required by law. I ordered a juice and sat down. I was asked to take my dog outside. I said he is a service dog and offered his identification. A manager came out and said you cant have dogs of any kind. I said he is a service dog and I have identification, I am just waiting for my juice. Rufus was sitting with me quietly and not disrupting any other guests. I have post-traumatic stress disorder. Under Texas law and the federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), people with disabilities can bring their service animals to public accommodations like: government buildings hotels restaurants stadiums, and stores. Under Texas's Human Resources Code, a service animal or an assistance animal is a dog that's specially trained to assist someone with a disability and is used by a person with a disability. Under Texas law, no public accommodation can make demands or ask questions about your service animal's certification or qualification, but they can ask what type of assistance the animal provides. If your disability isn't apparent, the establishment can ask either or both of the following: whether your animal is a service animal, and what work the animal is trained to do for you. An Austin staple, yes, they offer delicious healthy smoothies and other vegetarian, vegan, and food restricted dietary goods, but I'm all in on the "shots." Recently discovered the "Hot Shot" with ACV, lemon juice, beet juice, and more and I'm addicted. You can order on Toast Takeout and your smoothie is ready for you when you get there and you don't have to wait in the huge line. It's a very popular place and parking is challenging but still convenient. The inside of the place takes you back to the 70s. I buy their merchandise because I support this place. I recently moved to Austin and was looking for a good smoothie place after my workouts and I think I found it! This is the first time I was here and despite it being very busy the lady at the register was so nice and helpful. I'm sensitive to whey protein so I found this amazing pea protein smoothie called the "Wild Child". I substituted the pineapple juice for watermelon juice at the lady's suggestion (because I'm also sensitive to the acid in pineapple juice), and it was AMAZING!!! So so so good! Service has lost its way. Placed my drink order and waited while my order was skipped. I sat there while people who came after me we served drinks first. The person helping me was not very friendly from the beginning. I asked for a refund and when the manager came out she never even acknowledged the situation or offered a remedy to makeup for it. If you are looking to drop $300 on a juice cleanse, it's worth the time to drive to the domain to pressed juicery. Tried to buy my cleanse upfront and they said they would definitely have the juices available, so it would be better to order the 2nd and 3rd days each day. Of course they didn't have 30% of the juices needed for the cleanse. Two people told me if I came at 5:30 they would definitely have them because they were getting a delivery. I am so happy that this JL opened up in my area! It is different from the normal vibes of Juiceland, such as the Barton springs and lake austin locations, but wow this store is amazing! Every time I go in I feel so comfortable and welcome. The staff is so cool, kind, receptive, and efficient. Today went inside and expected to be waiting for a while because there was a few people in front of me... But it only took them 5 min after I ordered for my drink to get out!! They all seemed very knowledgable about health overall so don't be afraid to ask any questions! If eating out for lunch is what your doing, this is the place to be. The customer service is off the charts, and the smoothies fill you up just as much as food! (Not to mention it's like tasting heaven through a straw). I just finished a 5 day juice cleanse (which entailed drinking 6-17 oz/day of freshly prepared juices specifically designed for a cleanse,which I had to pick up daily). I read a ton of positive reviews on this specific cleanse, which admittedly perked my curiosity, so,although skeptical, I decided to try it. Days 1-3 were horrible...headaches, nausea, light headedness & extreme fatigue (from caffeine withdrawal I assume). However by Day 4, I stopped thinking about my morning coffee, pizza & cheeseburgers and yes, alcohol! I did occasionally munch on a slice of apple or carrot (which was allowed) and my treat to myself every afternoon was a protein smoothie from Juiceland. Days 4 & 5 were easier, I had renewed energy, the headache and nausea disappeared & I had zero cravings for coffee, pizza or a cold beer... Today I woke up super excited for a cup of coffee (first one in 6 days) turns out it was very anticlimactic, I did not even finish it . The biggest improvement that I have noticed post cleanse; is the clarity I have when I wake up (typically I woke feeling groggy as if I didn't sleep at all and this would not pass for several hours) I feel refreshed and clear headed now ( without coffee ). I have more energy and my body just feels good. This cleanse definitely gave me the desire to eat healthier and "try" diminish as many negative nutritional vices/choices as I can from my daily life. Do I want to completely give up coffee, pizza or that cold beer? No! But, can I make an effort to cut back? Yes and I truly want to. I like the way I feel right now! In an attempt to be "healthier" I reluctantly came here with my husband. My husband likes the green, veggie, not sweet smoothies. I like the pink, fruity sweet ones. The special of the day when we visited, I believe was called Peachy Green. And as the name implies, it was green! I wasn't going to be talked into it, no way! But Michael, the dude behind the counter offered me a sample. I took the sample shot, it was good! Really good! Michael took the time to explain the benefits of certain ingredients and gave his honest opinion on the tastes of some of their menu items.
