It's really sad when companies hire exclusively children to run their businesses. I understand the kids don't know any better but honestly there should never be 2 15-16 year olds running a place completely alone. Came in there and ordered one baby and one regular size snowcone. My wife changed her mind about the size - we had not paid - and the girl said she wasn't able to change it. She kept trying and said we'd have to take the regular "if that was okay" because she didn't have a manager code. It really wasn't okay but what were we going to do. As we were in the car about to pull out an older person came from the back and I'm not sure if this was a manager or what but the teenagers need to be taught that they need to get a manager if they need help. If there isn't one available someone should have the code to make changes or be taught how to handle things (I suspect she likely didn't actually need the code but I don't work here so who knows). Please teach your young staff how to handle issues that pop up. read more

I enjoy stopping in at Bahama Bucks when I get a chance, however, this past experience was VERY disappointing. I was greeted by a welcoming young man and was helped by him at the register. However, as I was being checked out, one girl who had walked in to start her shift had a VERY bad and stern attitude. I recognized this attitude and made sure not to trigger her attitude more I deal with this all the time. I totally understand that it may have been a rough and busy day, but she had just walked in. She proceeded to roll her eyes at me when I started heading to the door. instead of being told goodbye as I was walking out of the door she just stared at me blankly.I find that very unprofessional and rude. I hope management can come up with a solution to fix this lady's attitude. read more

Very dissapointed. The two girls (a shoulder length wavy blonde haired girl, and a brown haired girl) that were working were so rude. I encountered zero hospitality. The chairs were already on the table when we got there at 7 (they close at 8). They began to mop at 7:40 while my group was still in there, and then they proceed to turn the lights off at 7:45 - 15 minutes before they close to try and get us to leave. Obviously we did because we felt very unwelcome. Then as we stood outside and went to leave, another customer drove up and went to go in and the blonde girl locked the door as he was going to go in. Directly in his face. I've never encountered such rudeness. These girls should be fired. read more

This place is such a bright spot for our family! Friendly service, perfect shaved ice with the smoothest texture! This place does NOT have hard crunchy snow cones with overly sweet flavors that sink to the bottom. Instead, the shaved ice is soft and the flavors are high quality. We love all the flavor options, although we do have a few favorites. The Bahama Rama Mama (shaved ice with vanilla ice cream at the bottom) is not to be missed. My husband is a fan of the Bahama Colada, a smoothie with pineapple and coconut, blended with nonfat vanilla Greek yogurt. My new favorite shaved ice flavor (when I'm not getting the BRM) is Tropical Delite with a Tropic Creme drizzle. My husband and I have both tried a few Thin Ice flavors when we're trying to eat healthy. These flavors are sugar free and carb free, which is ideal for those who want a treat without blowing their diet. Wedding cake was our favorite out of these flavors. They also have extra sour flavors for those who like a good pucker. Highly recommend this place--especially now that summer is around the corner! read more

Once upon a time lived a girl who dreamed of the perfect snocone. But all the other places had hard and crunchy ice-- or dull flavors that lost their zing like a cheap bubblegum. But along came Bahama Bucks where the ice is soft like cream, and the flavors, while sugary (it's a sno cone people) are delicious throughout. The cost is affordable and the options seemingly endless. Couple that with varying options to add ice cream or skip the sno and revel in a fruit smoothie instead. Joyful. We typically love Bahama Bucks and our first 2 times to this location were pretty good... maybe because we took them to go and they were prepared the way we ordered them? This evening, Wednesday, July 5th, 7pm, there were 3 tables sat when we got there, 1 of those being outside. 1 lady got something to go. By the time we left there was 1 table sitting. 2 girls behind the counter, 1 on her cell phone, and not a single clean table in the entire place. There are a lot of tables in this place and they weren't slightly dirty, they were all filthy. Including every table outside as well. Bathrooms were a bit scary, my husband said no paper towels in his. Floors throughout as sticky as ever. Also, when the person making my food has insanely long fake nails, i get a little queasy. As an RN I know what those long fake nails harbor and let me just tell you, they have no place making any food items for the public! thank goodness she was wearing gloves to prepare the snow cone. My son ordered flavors pink bubble gum, watermelon and blue raspberry. After 3 bites, his entire snow cone was blue and clear. (Pic included) No pink bubblegum or watermelon flavor to be found. My daughter ordered tiger's blood, grape and green apple. She got grape, green apple and blue raspberry. Ugghhh. Filthy dirty! Those are the only two words that come to mind when I visit Bahama bucks in bee cave. I've had to wipe down my own tables on numerous occasions, bathrooms are disgusting, garbage cans are ALWAYS overflowing! This place is obviously very poorly managed. The employees are all young and seem to be working hard so that's why I blame the management. We love the shaved ice but unfortunately we are done with this place!! read more

I had a terrible set of experiences here. I visited this store with my family and they didn't have shave ice... imagine that, a shave ice store that doesn't have shave ice. This place was amazing! A friend of mine recommended we go to this joint for some dessert after dinner and I was quite hesitant to say the least. But upon arriving and being greeted so kindly and observing their tropical atmosphere it almost felt like I was on vacation. The vibe of the place was stress relieving and positive. And even though it was a Saturday night and super packed out orders were taken quickly and we were served our drinks promptly. I of course was about to enjoy the margarita flavor cause who doesn't wanna enjoy the taste of a margarita in a tropical atmosphere. Once we received our drinks I noticed I did make a slight mistake! I ordered a regular sized drink and it was HUGE. Not a big issue but just a reminder to anyone who comes to enjoy this that the sizes run large. It was sweet, and tasty. And the young guy was so kind so just bring the drinks out to us rather than have us walk back up to the counter. A big positive to this establishment is that you can see them making the drinks. Which is both a cool touch and if you're someone who likes to know that there's no health code violations being made, it's certainly a calming sight. During the visit the customer service was also amazing. As we enjoyed our drinks the gentleman who had taken our order came over to ensure that we were enjoying everything which although is standard practice in a lot of places, he did it in a way that wasn't annoying or interrupting. He wasn't fishing for compliments for their teenage ice-cream-whipper-upper, or their product, he was clearly just ensuring that our visit was positive. 5/5 and when I have the calories to spare, I will swing by again! read more

I have been meaning to try this place since before their opening (because I love snow cones) and I finally got around to it today -- it did not disappoint! Friendly staff, great flavors, great shaved ice treats....I'll be coming back! This is such a better alternative to getting the snow cones from the food trucks because I really don't want to sit outside in the hot sun and 100 degree weather to eat my snow cone. I even had a dream last night that I owned one of their fancy shmancy snow cone machines. Needless to say I've been pissy ever since I woke up. Took a break from my home office to get a juice. Thought I'd try this place because it's closer than my usual juice stop. I knew it wasn't going to be as healthy but still thought I'd give it a try. Friendly staff, upbeat island atmosphere, lots of choices. However, two sips in I felt like I was drinking liquid cotton candy. So sugary and nothing like a healthy juice stop. I tossed it in the trash. So I'm down just over $5 and next time I'll drive a little further and get my usual and feel like I'm doing something good for my body. read more

My kid loves this place! The staff is always patient as he usually requests a sample of something before he inevitably goes back to his regular order of Pina Colada flavor. I love that they have games there to play. I see groups of families and groups of teenagers hanging out and playing the games. It's nice to see that instead of everyone looking at their phones. My smoothie was terrible and too watery, the line was horrible and some of the workers didn't pay attention to me when i asked for a straw. The only good worker was the bubbly blonde at the cashier, but besides that the experience was all around awful.
