I hate how they are further out, but it's also great for the people who live around this area. Always like to stop by it on the way to this little park we call the dinosaur park. Drive-through is gravel, so just keep that in mind, but this whole parking lot is that way. Ordering is pretty easy, it does take a minute sometimes to get your items at the window. I typically order a white chocolate mocha iced and sometimes I get dark chocolate mocha iced, which is fine but not what I want. Inside is clean, not a ton of space but nice to sit for a minute and they have clean restrooms. Good variety of options here, and the staff are always nice. I like to use the punchcard as well to gain rewards. Took off a star only because the consistency of when I order a white chocolate how it is a dark chocolate sometimes. read more

Very cute coffee shop - spacious, clean, bright. Staffs are super friendly and they have delicious deli and breakfast style sandwiches. I like their matcha but I dont think they are cermonial grade, coffee was piping hot and husband said it was pretty good. We stopped by here on the way to pedernales state park. I'm going to give this place 5 stars because everything we got was amazing. The coffee was *excellent*. And we really appreciated they had a vegan breakfast sandwich. But I am just not down with places that don't display prices and would prefer to never have to go to a place that does that crap. The staff was very nice and said they'd tell us any price we wanted to know but it's like we want to know the price of every item and it's not practical to ask you to look up every item. After many recommendations I finally came by during my break from work. I usually go for iced matcha but they didn't have that option so I did an iced coffee instead. So glad that Lucky Lab took over this super cute space! The coffee drinks are generally of the sweet latte creations variety (but drip, cold brew etc also available). I'm not a coffee snob and this is exactly the comforting, warming treat I'm looking for if I go out to grab coffee. Also appreciate that they have fun lemonades, chai, teas, and hot choc for the times I don't need so much caffeine. Had the sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and it was very tasty and only $6.50, which is a steal these days. I was going to ask for hot sauce but then after taking a bite, I realized that the bacon jam it comes with fulfills two roles: it adds moisture to the sandwich and it has a small kick of spicy heat as well as adding the bacony salty flavor. Plus, the whole thing was heated up and the ciabatta bread was super soft and fluffy (no crust that cuts up your upper palate). Basically, the sandwiches taste so much better than they look sitting out of the stand. The space itself: five tables (three are near enough to outlets) and four armchairs inside. Good amount of seating outside. And they have a drive thru! And treats for dogs (not that I have one). read more

Went to lucky lab today with my wife and dogs like we always do on a weekly basis. i grabbed a sandwich and was standing at the register when the drive-thru checkout girl comes out from around the counter to take the sandwich out of my hand and says, 'i just sold this.' and walks back behind the counter. As i look up the girl behind the register says nothing. I did not grab another sandwich. The employee behind the register could see that i was visibly upset and did not offer a simple i'm sorry or anything. then after the fact as we are waiting for our coffee the drive-thru checkout girl is joking and laughing about the situation. extremely disappointed in the unprofessionalism displayed at this local coffee shop. read more

I met some friends here for coffee, and, it's small, but they have a nice seating area inside. I appreciated that the tables are spaced far enough apart that you can have a conversation without yelling. It's dog-friendly, although I was surprised they allowed dogs inside where food is being served. Most places only allow them outdoors. Fortunately, it wasn't an issue for us because the dogs that were there that day were well-behaved. My coffee was good, and the wait wasn't terribly long. Their food items look appealing, but it's annoying that they don't display the prices, and I didn't feel like asking. I probably won't ever buy anything more than a small cup of coffee until/unless they change that. This is the reason I gave it 3 stars. They also only have one restroom, and someone was camped out in there for a long time while a line formed out into the restaurant. I understand it's a small place, but one more restroom would be very beneficial. read more

Coffee was really good! People are super friendly and welcoming. The only lacking part of it was the pastries. Super dry and lacking in flavor. We did come in the later afternoon so that could reasonably be why they were dry. I was super excited to try the blackberry rhubarb pastry and it was maybe 1/3 way full of filling and I couldn't tell there was any rhubarb. The pasty portion was better than the filling. This is a quiet and relaxing space in downtown New Braunfels. The perfect place to sit and relax with a delicious fresh brewed coffee. I love the latte's! They have a nice selection of popular books to purchase or bring your own and relax and read while you enjoy their coffee. Two floors with very comfortable seating. Great local coffeeshop with good cold brew and lattes - and extremely dog friendly (if the name didn't give it away)! They also have a larger than average selection (for a coffeeshop) of pastries and refrigerated prepared food. 4 stars not 5 for because they don't have a full menu of their drinks posted anywhere in the store - there are a few specials listed, but otherwise, you just kind of ask for what you want and they will make it (but you don't know the price in advance). Also, highly advise using the drivethru option rather than attempting to park. Unless you're very lucky & snag one of the few dedicated spots for the coffeeshop, the dirt parking lot of the associated commercial establishments that share the location is a cluster----!!
