After biting a piece of the salt and pepper chicken wings, I question why it took me a year and a half to come to this location. Craving for some Lo Mein I stopped at Simply Pho House. So I was seated by a graceful waitress very nice and I sat by the window which is a very nice view of a little pond. So the waitress came by and I gave her my order. I decided green tea and Edamame with Lo Mein with shrimp. I was quite surprised that the food was bland no flavor hardly no taste I couldn't even taste the sauce that looked delicious on the dish. So I want everyone to understand that maybe just maybe they've gone to the dark side. I love this type of dish everywhere I see it on other restaurants and menus. But I'm very disappointed I don't know if I'm gonna return any time soon I'll keep you updated if I do. For now I'm not real happy with how my dish turned out .. Sadly, I would somewhat be cautious if I do return. In the meantime there's other restaurants that serve really good dishes I would stick with the Pho, definitely most popular dish. Just glanced on here for the fun of it to see the ratings and I can't believe that they don't have better ratings and this. We eat here quite often and always love it.!!! I tried the curry shrimp which was slightly spicy, says GF. My husband got a combination, curry fried rice, and loved it! I've never had a bad meal here yet and service is always pretty quick and very friendly.. Sometimes service is slow when they're very busy, but we judge our restaurants by the food. The Pho is always delicious. We enjoyed the egg rolls and always edamame. Pleasant, clean family friendly atmosphere and they serve fun teas, cold drinks to be delivered by a robot. There's plenty of food parking and you're right by the Hill Country Galleria for shopping, movies, etc. The menu is extensive and offers something for everyone. There's plenty service is very fast and efficient. They have robots that deliver boba teas and smoothies for a fun touch for the kids. Cute little spot with friendly workers, and food that will do when if you're craving it. I got the pho because they're called Pho House and was kind of surprised by how expensive it was. Even more so surprised when I started eating. Don't get me wrong, the pho wasn't bad. But it was also morning to write home about. The broth was pretty light, but it wasn't as deep as I have experienced at other spots. And while I know rice noodles are on the more delicate side, I feel like these noodles didn't really have any chew at all, which I do prefer. And then I was even more surprised to see how small the portions are. Usually a regular bowl size of pho is enough as a meal for me. But I was still hungry after. I thought maybe it was just me? Though one other friend agreed with me. It was obvious that was the case though, when my friend who usually gets full easily finished her bowl and also wasn't satisfied. My kids loved watching the robot deliver smoothies and boba, but were sad that since we were the first table on that side of the restaurant ours weren't delivered via robot. However, she said the mango smoothie was the best she'd had in Austin. The kids' size pho was perfect for my children, portion wise. The large pho was hearty although the broth is sweeter than we expected. For a family that drinks it to the last drop at home, my husband left his soup behind which tells me it wasn't as good as he hoped. I ordered the salt & pepper squid entree which portion size was what I would expect of an appetizer rather than an entree. But it did come with a lot of veggies. There was a slightly unpleasant odor, which I liken to a floor that was mopped with old mop water. Took family to Simply Pho House for Mother's day and it was a disappointment. Prices are high, so the expectation for the food to be good is equal. My wife's food was not at all what she expected and she didn't really touch enough of her plate to notice. The rest of us ate most of our food and two appetizers. The waitress never bother to ask my wife about her food or if she'd like something else. Clearly my wife didn't like the food as it was untouched. I would have expected a better waitress to have noticed; especially on Mother's Day. Waitress didn't seem to understand what was meant by an Arnold Palmer as she kept serving me {Jazmine} Tea, but didn't explain this to me until I had finally asked for just regular sweet tea to which she finally explained they only have Jazmine Tea. The food is just okay. Sometimes it's really good and the temperature is hot like it should be but it consistently is cold. The service is okay to terrible except for the woman who takes orders over the phone is great. The food is still usually cold. Tonight, they served my husband his meal 15 minutes before I got my PHO. I asked why, they said because the PHO would get cold. So I guess they don't have hot broth ready for vegetable PHO. But made the Singapore noodles in two minutes. Crazy. The ambiance is okay. Full disclosure: I have not personally been here but my son has with his friends multiple times. He reports that the food is really good and the boys he goes with are very well behaved kids. I understand that when they have gone with a large group (7+) that the restaurant includes gratuity. However, last night he went with 4 other boys and they also added 20% tip automatically without disclosing that anywhere on menu or website. My son also said that when he askes the server to wait until the whole party had arrived to order that the server said no. (NOT good service and honestly, if I received that service it would affect the server's tip). Also, the last time the boys all paid in cash and some weren't given their change. Now, again, I haven't been here but the restaurant should be careful about how they treat their customers even when they are kids. The added gratuity without disclosure is not legal and frankly, I believe they are taking advantage of and worse, discriminating against kids. My son enjoys going with his friends but we have now educated him about his rights in these situations and I STRONGLY encourage the restaurant to reevaluate their treatment of customers even and especially when they are kids because it is still discrimination and it is illegal. I do hope the management takes this seriously. read more

We tried the Bee Cave location for this chain. The restaurant is much larger than their Dripping Springs location, and has pretty good ingress and egress. Food came out with the same good consistency and the staff was attentive. I like this chain and really love their Pho soup. read more

I waited over an hour at my table waiting to be served, the hostess at the front kindly brought us drinks after a 45 minute wait (she's a LEGEND considering this is not her responsibility) made eye contact and waved at multiple waitress and waiters and was completely ignored at around the 50 minute mark of waiting. Food ordered: (all came as large portions) Lemongrass veggie dish (with extra veggies) and it was flavorful and spicy. It came with rice. Highly recommended. Egg rolls - fresh, crunchy, as expected Pho soups - get the large for $1 extra. Be careful on spicy/heat levels. Flavorful; was well seasoned and salt level balanced with spice. Simply put, the pho is elite. Their crab rangoons are special and everything they make tastes fresh. The whole place is clean. Sad they don't do door dash or new eats, you have to order and pick up. Everytime we eat here, it's always been delish with each bite. read more

When you're out in this side of town, definitely stop by. The pho broth was ok, it wasn't balanced. Missing a little more anise or fish sauce. the noodles were perfectly cooked but my beef was overcooked. my boyfriend's red curry was really good and the rice was cooked to fluffiness goodness. the fresh spring rolls were smaller than what I am typically used to but it wasn't like they skimped on the shrimp. I was told that the restaurant hasn't had a delivery of sriracha for a week now. the shortage is real! the really attentive and outgoing server did give me sriracha packets and gave us this other brand to try. it's NOT the same. thank goodness for the packets. the ambiance is nice and they have boba teas for $6. we ate around 5PM and it got busy quickly. nice place. read more

Bubble tea (original w boba) 6/10 - cute packaging, love the robo delivery, boba was soft and chewy but not sweet enough and neither was the tea and I'm someone who usually asks for 50%sugar at chain boba places. Green curry w tofu 8/10 Loved how huge the portion was, enough for 2 more meals at home! The curry was creamy and sweet but with a spicy kick so it didn't feel sugary. I felt like there wasn't enough tofu at all though which was disappointing and I went home and added half a box. Would prefer if my curry had more than just onions and some peppers! Pad kee mao - 7/10 While this was delicious, where were the noodles?!? I absolutely love the thick flat rice noodles which is why I always order this dish at Thai restaurants but while my husband and I loved how this tasted we were fighting over the noodles since there were barely any! Like actually this veggie noodle ratio was definitely off. The prices are exorbitant. This place is a cash grab. $10 for a kids bowl of pho that comes with noddles and two thin slices of chicken? No veggies, really? The broth is not a traditional pho broth. It has to be a mix of bouillon cubes. The banh mi is a joke. Where do you even find meat sliced this thin? Why charge $9 for it? This is a chain pho restaurant that I feel does a good job making fairly authentic tasting food. I had a huge bowl of their pho and I was very full and the broth really hit the spot and was definitely good enough to satisfy the pho craving I was having. I won't say it was the best pho I've ever had since it wasn't particularly special or had anything unique as far as the ingredients/taste go, so I wouldn't seek it out per se but I would definitely come here again if I was in the area around the galleria! The service was fairly quick as well, they had delivery robots that bring drinks and desserts to so I imagine that speeds things up. Ordered take out. When I got home part of my meal was missing. I called and they asked me if I wanted to come back and pick up the missing item. What I really wanted was to eat my food. I told them I wasn't going to drive 12 miles to pick up the missing item. They said they would credit me an appetizer next time I came in. I'm some how supposed to remind them that they owe me.. What the should have done is refund my meal and apologized. Don't tell me there's a new girl in the back. The resolution was to drive 24 miles to pickup the missing item and eat it when! I don't have pictures of my food from Simply Pho House, but, I can tell you I typically get Pho from here once a week. It's such a great place for Pho! I absolutely love the chicken Pho, the salt and pepper wings are my husbands favorite and the chicken fried rice is always a staple order that we save for a lunch during the week. Depending on where we were when ordering we switch between Dripping Springs and Bee caves. Both places are great. I have been to Simply Pho several times, and always enjoyed my experience and food. Tonight at the Bee Cave location was by far the absolute worst experience I have ever had at any restaurant. Not only was my table and experience awful, but every table around me was complaining and commenting to the manager and staff about the service. Starting with the 2 servers that were managing the entire restaurant and unable to keep up the demand to the behavior of the manager who was not only unapologetic but down right rude and disrespectful to the paying customers. Not only should you NOT EVER go here, but every single person that worked there was telling us that online orders took precedence over the people sitting inside. We waited over 30 minutes to have anyone come to our table and bring us waters, that was after flagging down the hostess to have our server come to the table. We then waited another 20 minutes for our bar drinks to come to the table. Our drink orders were incorrect and then once food came out, one of the meals didn't come for yet another 20 minutes. After 1.5 hours and nothing but rudest service from absolutely everyone, there is no way we will be returning. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE. read more
