The noodles were pretty tasty and definitely a generous portion. I even had leftovers for dinner! The place has a nice, chill vibe, and the service was good. A solid spot for a relaxed meal!

    Fried Tofu (8). Yum!

Ordered a few things from Thai Spice on Uber Eats. Didn't realize they were located in Lakeway. We ordered some fried tofu, pad Thai, a soup, and two curries. The green curry ended up being quite spicy. But everything was flavorful and delicious. Not overly sweet, like some other places in town. The food was great, and I'm excited to actually eat in-house in the near future.

Got the hot and spicy sour soup to go It was only HOT and salty! Wanted to like this place as it seemed like it had a nice ambiance and is in my area. Not sure if I would order again

    Pad kra Paw

I got the Pad kra Paw. It said it came with an over-easy egg? The egg was good but it wasn't over-easy. The rice tasted dry. And I ordered one of the only items with two spicy pepper icons on the whole menu and I asked to make sure it was spicy. I think it was maybe a 1/10 for spice... I wouldn't even consider it spicy. It looks better than it was--it was good but just sort of boring and bland. But beyond all that, I looked the menu up on their own website before coming in and thought to myself "the price is a bit high but oh well" but when we got in, we were given menus where everything was $2-3 higher than their online menu. My only theory is they updated their menu prices to match their artificially adjusted takeout order prices. Walking away paying $50 for a Thai tea and two standard entrees is way too much for this kind of food, especially when you're misleading customers with the prices!

Overall a great place to eat, including the service the ambiance and the food. We ordered the following and most of the food was good. 1. Chicken dumplings: taste was fine, felt a little stale, maybe frozen that was unfreezed. 2. Chicken satay: good 3. Pineapple fried rice: good 4. Masaman curry: really good curry, the star of the show 4. Basil Eggplant : a very good vegetarian option, tasted really good

Yum yum yum yum yum Came here looking for a change in food I've been eating. Seated right away. Host was very sweet and attentive Server was also very attentive and sweet Food was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! Flavor and all. Don't worry about spice level for crispy duck, it was right on point. Definitely coming back to try other things on the menu. Great job team

Today was my first time trying thai spice, although, I've wanted to come here for quite some time! I really love the building- brick walls, ambient lighting and overall great location. To start, I ordered a Thai tea. It's my favorite drink to get at thai restaurants and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Perfectly flavored, I patiently waited for my entree. For my meal, I order pad kee mao- another favorite of mine. When it arrived, it was full of ALL the colors which I LOVE! Lots of bell pepper, serranos, broccoli and bamboo shoots! The pad kee mao was tasty and spicy- just the way I like it! I would come back and look forward to trying another dish!

Pretty good Thai food for the area. Some dishes are quite spicy even for Thai food. I'd recommend.

Wow it was amazing just the perfect blend of curry, coconut milk and lemon grass and just the right amount of heat. Portion was huge so brought dome home. Hubby had the P26 Gang Pa with pork because it was in season. It said the heat was 4 peppers and it lived up to its name, good and spicy. The pork was tender and veggies were sufficient. The staff are all super friendly and attentive. We both ordered the lunch special which comes with an egg roll, tea, a cup of soup, and an entree. If you get a soda it does not come with a refill. The egg roll was yummy but the soup was hardly edible. It was super sour and the bok choy tasted and looked old. The wings were spot on, hot, fresh, and the sauce was amazing! My entree was good, the glass noodles were a bit difficult to chew, not sure why. My husband got the pad Thai and he said it lacked flavor. He ended up taking all the sauce from the wings and pouring it on his food to make it better. Regardless of the issues, all the food came out very hot and fresh.

We've tried ordering items gluten-free, and going through each dish ingredient by ingredient to eliminate the gluten-full ones, and ordering items that should not have gluten to begin with. All failed and they were each followed by a long night of cramps and diarrhea. So we've reluctantly crossed them off our list. But if you don't have gluten concerns, the food is pretty good, especially for the more "Chinese" dishes. There is usually at least one Chinese speaker who can talk about Chinese items not on the regular menu. We marked them down slightly for service because it really is hit or miss depending on who you speak with both on the phone and in the restaurant.

It's one of those restaurants you keep going back to because it's consistently good and feels welcoming. One thing I really appreciate is that if there's ever a question or concern about your food, the staff encourages you to speak with a manager -- they're attentive and genuinely want to make things right. That says a lot about how they care about their customers. On my most recent visit, I ordered the hot sake, which was excellent -- smooth and very enjoyable. I also had the egg drop soup, which I thought was really cool because Sakura's offers a Chinese menu as well. It's nice to have those options, and the soup was comforting and well done. The tempura is one of my favorites here. It's made to perfection -- light, crisp, and not greasy. I love the variety: shrimp, potato, sweet potato, broccoli, and many other vegetables I enjoy. You can really tell care goes into the preparation. Overall, Sakura's is a place I highly recommend. Great food, variety, and a staff that truly values its customers. I'll definitely keep coming back.

So sorry, SO SAD. Tadashi was one of my FAVORITE two sushi spots in the Austin area for years (the…read moreother is probably not what you're thinking). Just superb; a true dining experience. Treated like the regular I was, always phenomenal service, offered me special off menu items on every visit, the freshest fish, exquisite presentations...just wow. And a great happy hour to boot. Thennnnnnn... About a year prior to my last restaurant visit, I had ordered an extra large assortment of items ($$$$) for delivery for a special occasion at home. It had been a while, but I noticed immediately something was "off." Bottom line, everything was just sloppy and not as fresh as it always had been in the past. I chalked it up to delivery versus dine in. There was something in the back of my mind though that told me that Chef Sun would never have let those items leave the restaurant. Fast forward to in-house dining again. Visible wear and tear on the restaurant interior (looks old). A few plates were even chipped. Might sound nitpicky, but in my humble opinion they need to reinvest some money into the restaurant to get it back up to its shiny self. The service was lackluster, slow, cordial but not necessarily friendly. Some of my favorite menu items (such as the yummmmmy sea bass) are no longer available. Prices were significantly higher than they used to be; however, that's everywhere right? Pft. Decided to order some "safe" dishes that had always been personal favorites. Go to "Red Hill Tower" was served first. The presentation was all right. Not as meticulous as it used to be. When I dug in mixed it all together I noticed how horrible the knife work was. I mean they butchered the tuna. Knife skills are very important in sushi. Many chefs train for years. Flavor was a-okay with all the house sauces, but for 20 bucks it left me wanting more. Gyoza was greasy and chewy. Rice in California Roll was on the dry side. Katsu was also quite dry and lacked flavor. Admittedly the vegetable tempora was pretty tasty. Not surprisingly, I was informed that the restaurant had been purchased by new owners quite some time ago. All of the changes are so apparent, and none are positive. Quality control and pride of stellar presentation and service has disappeared. Tadashi is now (sobbing) sadly just another subpar sushi restaurant with much higher prices than most. Goodbye my old friend. I have no intentions of returning. :(
