6 Salmon Skin Handrolls. 2 orders of Salmon Belly. 1 order of Salmon. 1 Yellowtail Collar.
    GiGi D.

Randomly ordered sushi from Tadashi (I'm not from around here) and was pleasantly surprised with what I got. I fully expected TINY portions and to be hungry after my meal but I wound up pleasantly full and happy with the quality... Minus the fact that the salmon skin handrolls are TINY AS EVER. The hamachi Kama was delicious, perfectly cooked and they gave me extra rib meat, which was an unexpected surprise! The salmon belly sashimi (fatty salmon) was a real treat (it's my favorite) and I didn't realize I ordered 2 orders, but I'm thrilled that I did. The salmon (not fatty) was also delicious. The salmon skin hand rolls were also good but SOOOOOO small. Basically almost no salmon skin at all. Tadashi DID however listen to my request for no rice or vegetables or sauce, so that's nice! Over all, I definitely rate my meal a 4/5. A 4 purely because the salmon skin handrolls were just SOOOO small and because this meal of mine was OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive.

Stopped in for a lite lunch prior to massages. Service was friendly enough. We ordered water and green tea, both had a soap taste to them to the point we didn't drink with our meal. Sushi was okay but not something I'll return to.

Went to dinner last night with my wife at Tadashi. It was another great experience. We were seated in the back of the restaurant. It was quite busy but the service was excellent. The restaurant was clean and not too loud at all! We enjoyed spicy edamame, miso soup, soft shell crab salad and the Hawaiian Roll. All of it was so good!

I went with my family and we really loved it! (Even the little ones) And the food was so nice, I had the ramen and it was SPECTACULAR! The waitress was also very nice.

Have to end it with green tea ice cream I love it so much I got 2!

my favorite place to go every time we celebrate something! I love sushi and this is the best place I can eat all I want without thinking about the price thank you!

Great food, fast service and perfect date night spot. The food is pricey but worth the extra dollar. Ordered Sake and a good amount of appetizers. The best and most memorable appetizer was the soft shell carb! The spicy edamame was addicting and not to spicy, and I don't eat spicy stuff often. The seafood pops was very yummy tempura of calamari, scallops, and shrimp with a spicy mix on top. California roll even tasted different than ones I've had... Overall, the quality food and experience at Tadashi is one I'd go back for again and again!

Anytime we need a good sushi fix, Tadashi does not disappoint. My absolute favorite on the menu is the Hawaiian sunset roll which includes just about everything - a good mix of flavor and texture. Service is generally pretty attentive.

Came here for dinner with my lovely girlfriend as a special date night for our Austin trip from Houston TX. Had high hopes since we have had plenty of great sushi from other japenese restaurants back at home. Overall, Japanese food was good, non Japanese food was okay. Make sure you stick to sushi when you eat here. The entrees were a bit on the heavy side.

Great sushi at Tadashi. Please come to try our special roll and fresh sushi and sashimi plate.

Belly trio - look at that toro. What is that?

Possibly some of the worst sushi I have ever had. We got the belly sashimi and the toro came and it was gray. Everything tasted grossly fishy. Not sure how this place survives.

My husband found this spot for lunch. So we thought we would give it a shot. Was greeted and seated waiter gave us some time to decide on what we wanted. Got a miso soup and husband ordered a bento box which comes with miso soup. Our toddler wasn't hungry so we shared our food with her. It was nice to see the menu did have a children options. I ordered the Hawaiian roll . The prices were ridiculously high from what I am used to especially for Japanese food. a bento box was over $25 seemed very steep and portions were typical for a bento box and food was fair. Service was good but food was honestly a bit overpriced . So get ready to spend for 2 easily $40 something and up just for lunch. Must be because of the nice shops they have there that they feel they can charge what they do.

It's one of those restaurants you keep going back to because it's consistently good and feels welcoming. One thing I really appreciate is that if there's ever a question or concern about your food, the staff encourages you to speak with a manager -- they're attentive and genuinely want to make things right. That says a lot about how they care about their customers. On my most recent visit, I ordered the hot sake, which was excellent -- smooth and very enjoyable. I also had the egg drop soup, which I thought was really cool because Sakura's offers a Chinese menu as well. It's nice to have those options, and the soup was comforting and well done. The tempura is one of my favorites here. It's made to perfection -- light, crisp, and not greasy. I love the variety: shrimp, potato, sweet potato, broccoli, and many other vegetables I enjoy. You can really tell care goes into the preparation. Overall, Sakura's is a place I highly recommend. Great food, variety, and a staff that truly values its customers. I'll definitely keep coming back.

The lady that served us was very nice and made sure we understood their menu and also provided us with information regarding today's specials and items not stated on their menu. They use matcha infused rice for all their creations. It really does bring different flavors and aroma when paired with their fresh fishes. Im not a handroll person but their handrolls were delicious. 10/10. What really blew me away was their nigiri options. The price at first was hefty, but after seeing the nigiris I've ordered, I can understand the pricing on that. The nigiri's were HUUGEEE! Took me maybe 3 big bites to eat one. The wagyu melted in my mouth, the unagi was delightful, salmon belly was to die for and their mackerel sushi was sooooooooo smooth. Nigiris were a 1000000/10. I will definitely be back whenever im in Austin again. If you haven't tried it yet, I recommend that you do!

Menu is pretty straightforward with hand rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and blackboard specials (be sure to ask about pricing for those as they're not listed). You fill in your order with a dry erase marker and the server puts it in for you. Service is super easy and friendly! Overall it was a good experience but nothing special and I likely wouldn't revisit unless I was in the area. QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes, there is a decent-sized lot shared amongst the businesses in the strip. During peak hours it can be tricky to snag a spot, though. - Reservations? No, not needed. FOOD RATINGS: - Nigiri (3/5): The pro is the nigiri has giant, generous portions of fish. Easily 2 bites. The con is it's pretty average and nothing really stood out as far as the toppings and flavor add-ons. The rice was said to have a hint of matcha in it but I didn't taste any of that. - Hand rolls (3.5/5): Pretty decent hand rolls made freshly in front of you. The only one we were disappointed in was the scallop one. Because it was cooked, minced scallop it really just tasted like canned tuna. Not worth $8.

I stepped in, sat down, and pointed at something on the menu that had a picture of glossy, perfect noodles. What arrived... was not that. The noodles were pale, limp, and somehow both soggy and dry at the same time. I took one bite. It tasted like regret. Another bite--worse. There was a strange bitterness, like someone had boiled the concept of disappointment into broth. I waved the server over, but before I could say anything, the lights flickered. Once. Twice. Then everything went dark. When the lights came back on, the restaurant was empty. No customers. No staff. Just me... and the bowl of cursed noodles. A scratching sound echoed from the kitchen. I stood up--because of course I did--and took a few cautious steps forward. The swinging kitchen door creaked open on its own, like it had been waiting for me. Inside, the air smelled... wrong. Earthy. Damp. Ancient. Then something moved. At first I thought it was just a rat. Then I realized it was *far* too big. Then it stood up. "Ah," it said, its voice layered like a chorus of whispers. "The one who tasted the offering." I froze. "The... what?" "The noodles," it said. "A test. And you survived." Before I could respond, the floor beneath me collapsed. -- I woke up in a cavern lit by flickering green fire. Stone pillars carved with writhing rodent shapes surrounded me. In the center stood a towering figure--half rat, half something far older. "The Rat God," it declared, spreading its clawed arms. "Devourer of scraps. King beneath the cities. And now... your opponent." I didn't remember signing up for this. "I just wanted decent noodles," I said. The Rat God hissed. "Then you should have chosen wisely." It lunged. I barely dodged, rolling across the stone floor. My hand hit something--a broken metal ladle. Not exactly a heroic weapon, but I wasn't in a position to be picky. The Rat God struck again, claws carving grooves into the stone. I darted between pillars, heart pounding, trying to think. "Fight," it snarled. "Or be consumed." "Working on it!" I shot back. It charged. At the last second, I leapt aside and slammed the ladle into one of the glowing green flames. The metal flared with eerie light. I didn't question it--I just swung. The ladle connected with the Rat God's side, and it *screeched*, stumbling back. Okay. That worked. Now it was a fight. I ducked, dodged, and struck again, each hit glowing brighter. The cavern shook as the Rat God grew more frantic, more furious. "You are nothing!" it roared. "Yeah?" I said, breathing hard. "I survived your noodles." That seemed to genuinely offend it. With a final, desperate leap, I drove the glowing ladle straight into its chest. There was a blinding flash. Silence. -- I woke up back at my table. The restaurant was normal again. People chatting. Dishes clinking. The server standing beside me. "Everything okay?" they asked. I looked down at my bowl. The noodles looked exactly the same. I pushed it away. "Yeah," I said, standing up. "I'm... not that hungry anymore." As I walked out, I could've sworn I heard a faint voice from the kitchen: "We will meet again..." I didn't look back. Next time, I decided, I was getting takeout from somewhere safer.
