    Poke Bowl ($19)
    Wendi K.

4.5 Stars A wonderful restaraunt on the Lake Travis, with lots of healthy, filling options. It was hard to choose with so many yummy looking options. The calamari ($18) was fried crispy and had yummy fried jalapeños as well. The Ahi Poke Bowl ($19) is large, fresh, well presented and wonderful. There is a large outdoor patio and lots of indoor seating with lake views. Service is awesome.

Came up from driftwood for sunset views and CG didn't disappoint! Came on a Saturday evening right before sunset and it was bustling! Service was top notch and fast! Drinks are made well. No reservations for parties less than 8. Shrimp scampi pasta was delish ( more on the Alfredo vs buttery side) ...fish and chips, perfectly battered! Get a table on the patio for great views of the marina! Skip the oasis touristy spot.

My wife and I went to the Canyon Grille last night. We had been one other time, soon after new ownership. The first time, nothing much had changed with the food. However, when we went last night, there was a new menu and a lot of new items. The food we had was very good and we are very excited. The staff was also good. I got the pork carnitas tacos, my wife got the salmon salad and we shared a piece of buttermilk pie. It was all very good and fresh. It was packed and lively.

What a gorgeous spot on Lake Travis! Service was prompt and attentive. Food was fresh and perfectly presented. Presented? Beautiful plates, well seasoned, and worth another visit. Can't wait to come back and try new things. Put this on your brunch, lunch, and or dinner list!

Great food at a reasonable price. Service was spot on, attentive but not smothering. Dining area a little loud. Kids welcome, though there were a few running around. Overall good place.

This is a pretty busy little spot when the weather is nice. I got sports bar vibes on the interior & casual restaurant vibes on the exterior. I imagine a majority of the patrons are from the neighborhood. It's right next to the marina and some community amenities. We ate here during our weekend stay at Lakeway Resort, only a few mins away. Our server (Margarita, I think) was pretty awesome. Despite the kitchen being busy and out of one entree that we wanted, Margarita was very accommodating and super sweet! We were just enjoying the lovely afternoon and view of the lake/boats while seated on the patio and in no particular rush. It was a Saturday so there was plenty of traffic going to and from the tram thing that carries folks to and from their boats/the dock. Overall the food was good from the spinach queso and redfish to the sweet potato fries and amazing Brussel sprouts. They weren't "bad" but I probably wouldn't order the chicken tenders again. For 10% off be sure to use the check-in!

Beautiful place to eat with amazing food. However, just be prepared for slow service. I saw several people who were upset about how slow it was to get their food or bills. We had a large group and were seated quickly. It took a while to get our waitress's attention. We started off with the calamari appetizer which was hot and fried perfectly. I got the redfish special which had a lot flavor. The mashed potato and brussel sprout sides were also delicious. My husband enjoyed his fish tacos - a little spicy for me. Great food but just make sure you're not in a rush. They are understaffed and usually at full capacity of people being served.

    Ahi Salad

This restaurant is certainly busy and the entire staff hustles and bustles for a neighborhood grill. Overall, drinks are made with care and the entrees and starters are an assortment of the grill spectrum. Had the French dip and the Ahi Salad. For $20, the French dip was enormous. Not sure how to consume something like this but you get plenty to share. The ahi tuna salad was absolutely packed in a deep bowl so challenging to get all the flavors at once. Includes rice at the very bottom and super fresh veggies. I would recommend less cabbage and more rice, preferably jasmine instead of long grain. The tuna was in large cold chunks piled on top so I suggest mixing it throughout. Whatever season is used, I would recommend to the chef to toss the seasoning with fresh tuna poke right before serving. As is, it was dry and clumpy. With this said, I do recommend. The staff was knowledgeable and attentive.

Power Bowl made vegan. HUGE DELICIOUS NUTRITIOUS SATISFYING bowl.

Our selections for the afternoon were the classic Eggs Benedict and the turkey avocado wrap--both arriving at the table beautifully composed and visually striking. Our server was exemplary, providing attentive and seamless service throughout the meal. However, the kitchen stumbled slightly on a fundamental execution. A proper Eggs Benedict relies on a perfectly poached egg, where a gentle slice yields a rich, velvety yolk that cascades over the ham and English muffin. Regrettably, one of my eggs crossed the line into hard-boiled territory, robbing the dish of that essential luxury. That single execution error aside, the meal was otherwise delightful. It was an unfortunate oversight, but certainly not enough to keep us from returning to a neighborhood favorite.

The League Tavern is a gastropub…read more "Gastropub". That word is so 2010's. A decade ago calling yourself a "gastropub" was the coolest thing in the hospitality industry. Now, it is a lost artifact of another decade, along with Swedish House Mafia and Britney Spears. The League calls itself a retro reminder of the eating clubs of the 1920's and 1930's. It is pretty damm good as a gastropub. It would not really want to be an eating club of the Prohibition era. Menus in that era could be pretty awful. Mashed parsnips. Liver and onions. Greens that have been cooked to death. Tough steaks. Low quality lager beer. The Indian Puddings were all right. The fish was great if it was fresh. I wish they would bring back Welsh Rarebit. But the League sticks to a contemporary menu ... And I am glad they do. Their contemporary dishes are just great. I had a faro salad with grilled shrimp on top. The faro salad was everything I would want a grain salad to be. (I have had some awful tabboulehs and quinoa salads in my time.) The shrimp were completely lovely. Prices are high - but that is what comes with being a gastropub. The concept is: Pay more. Eat higher quality. The Lakeway market will certainly support the League in the prices it wants to charge. The selection on the menu - and for that matter the selection at the bar - is fairly restricted. Having a small menu is not a necessary correlate of being a gastropub. Some gastropubs offer you an expansive range of choices. But careful management of the menu choices means that each and every dish can be polished to a high degree of execution finesse. Practice makes perfect. My guess is that the League envisions itself as a neighborhood place - albeit a rich neighborhood place. Their customers are likely to be regulars. The regulars order their favorite dishes over and over. I myself like my bars and grills to be Cheaper, Funkier and With bigger selections on the menu and at the bar itself. So the League is not exactly my style. But what they do, they do well. They are expanding, opening more branches in more locations. They can do this because the League fills a real need in the Lakeway-Bee Cave market. If a Lakeway resident were to invite me to be their guest at the League Tavern, I would be happy to accept that invitation. Especially if they were picking up the check.

The macaroni is actually big shells, and I love that cause the cheese gets inside of the shell and it's cheesy gooey. Cheese was fantastic. Really enjoyed the Mac. Brussels sprouts I feel were just steamed. They didn't have that chard crispy outside. Just plan steamed sprouts. My small meal was delicious. Hoping to actually eat inside and have a cocktail.

Sitting along the marina with boats gently coming and going, The Lighthouse has all the ingredients for an afternoon you don't want to end. Unfortunately, our experience never quite found its sea legs. We arrived with a party of five and walked up to the host stand where several young employees greeted us... sort of. We let them know there were five of us. They nodded. That was it. No "What's your name?" No "We'll get you on the list." No "It'll be about a 30-minute wait." Just... nodding. As more guests started filing in behind us, I finally walked back up and asked if they needed our name or phone number. The group looked at one another like I'd asked them to solve a calculus equation. Eventually someone located a scrap of receipt paper and a marker to write our information down. I'm choosing to believe it was someone's first day because otherwise, it was a genuinely confusing start. The patio was bustling, but considering Texas had apparently opened the Gates of Hades that afternoon, our group requested indoor seating. A plus? There was only one table seated inside and they were just having drinks. We thought it would be a very short wait. About thirty minutes later, one of the hosts finally asked, "Would y'all be okay sitting inside?" Our entire table answered in unison: "YES." Once seated, things improved... at least initially. The dining room overlooking the marina is comfortable, with large windows that let the view do most of the decorating. The televisions were on without dominating the room, making it easy for our family to settle in and enjoy something we hadn't done in years--simply sit around one table together and catch up. Thankfully, we had plenty to talk about because the food took a while to arrive. My brother and I decided to split The Shipwreck, the restaurant's signature sandwich. On paper, it sounded incredible: fried chicken, fried cream cheese, ham, bacon, lettuce, tomato, homemade blueberry jam, and an order of their truffle fries. That's a sandwich that practically dares you not to order it. Unfortunately, reality didn't quite match the menu. The biggest disappointment was the "homemade blueberry jam." It wasn't jam. It tasted exactly like canned blueberry pie filling. That one ingredient completely threw off the sandwich for me. (thankfully, just in case, we had asked for it on the side) Beyond that, it was... fine. Not bad. Not memorable. Just an average fried chicken sandwich wearing a few extra accessories in hopes of becoming something special. For more than twenty dollars, I wanted something that made me think about it on the drive home. Instead, I mostly thought about how much potential it had. The truffle fries were another miss. They arrived barely warm and were cold before we made it halfway through the basket. The promised truffle flavor was faint, there were a few shavings of Parmesan, and instead of the garlic aioli listed on the menu, we were served plain mayonnaise. Meanwhile, our server proved elusive. After taking our order and delivering the food, she seemed to disappear entirely. When she finally resurfaced to greet the table beside us, we took the opportunity to ask for our check before she vanished again. To be fair, two members of our party ordered the chicken fried steak and both enjoyed it, so there were certainly bright spots on the menu. But as a whole, none of us walked away particularly impressed. It's disappointing because The Lighthouse has so much working in its favor. The location is wonderful. The view is exactly what you'd hope for on Lake Travis. The atmosphere invites you to slow down and stay awhile. Now it just needs food and service that rise to meet the setting. As for me? The Lighthouse didn't quite guide me safely to shore. Next time, I'll be looking for another place to dock in search of a better meal.

No that I'm that hard to please. Was looking for an elevated meal with my lovely wife…read more Here are my reasons that, in my opinion, is not worth the price or the time spent. Ambiance - Average. Bar area looked loud and fun. We wanted their elevated dining experience, so they took us to a table in an empty room that had what looked like Christmas ornaments hanging from the ceiling, that was quite warm. We mentioned it and waitress said she thought so, too. Really, we had to ask? The Elevated? I had to physically change chairs because mine had stuff on it from and earlier meal. Ew! Food - good but not elevated. Not for the price. Wine list - extremely over priced. As a partner of a Napa winery, I know what wine costs and the 'by the glass price" is what they pay for the entire bottle. Cellar bottle prices were 3X to 4X plus. Clincher - After the meal I received a call from them questioning our payment of the bill. We left a gift card, plus cash for the tip (we know wait staff like cash). Seems they only saw the cash and decided to call. I expect when the find the card and realize their mistake, they will not call to apologize (they can/should check their cameras to verify us making that payment). In my opinion, this a bar restaurant with decent food. Not fine dining, at all. Go there for a beer and elevated burger. But it will come with a price.

Every dish reflected the chef's incredible talent and passion. One of the highlights of our evening was getting to meet the chef personally. She was so warm, engaging, and clearly passionate about her craft. It made the experience feel especially personal and memorable. The service, food, and atmosphere were all outstanding. Plate is truly a special restaurant, and we cannot wait to return. We highly recommend it! A must stop for folks visiting Austin Tx.!

The food itself was spot on--delicious and exactly what you'd expect from a good steakhouse. However, I need to be honest about my first experience. The last time I came, I had to wait over two hours for a table. When I finally got seated, I was completely ignored for over an hour. Feeling frustrated, I left without being served. To make matters worse, I wasn't even allowed back in to speak with anyone about the issue. Not wanting to leave a one-star review based on that experience alone, I decided to give them another chance. On my recent visit, everything went much more smoothly--the food and service were excellent, and I could truly enjoy the beautiful outdoor scenery. Overall, Saltgrass Steakhouse offers fantastic food and a wonderful setting, but I hope they improve their service

We come here occasionally because we get good friendly service and enjoy our meals!…read more We sat near the lovely fireplace, a comfortable dining area and a great server, Chris. He was very attentive, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed his service. No waiting. We started out with drinks which were really good (my husband tried the grand old fashioned and loved it) and FRIED MUSHROOMS Dusted with parmesan, ranch dressing. We ordered Maureen's CENTER CUT FILET MIGNON with a baked potato, and salad. Loved it. Dessert was the huge yummy Chocolate cake with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream. We saved a drive Austin to Perry's Steakhouse, saved $100 and enjoyed it just as much or better. Less hassle, no valet parking! Family friendly; had a couple cute children across from us who were well behaved. Love the pond out back with ducks and geese. A cool place!
