We loved everything about this place! We had the colorful dumplings and liked all 3 flavors with the chicken being the favorite. We had the Kung Pao lunch special which was a perfect portion size for lunch. It had a great flavor and the egg roll that comes with it was crispy but not oily tasting which was great. The service was also very attentive and friendly! Highly recommend!!!!!

This was really great authentic Chinese food! We love hot oil noodles, and these are probably the best we've had in Austin. I don't eat pork, so I was super happy to see they had chicken soup dumplings. The scallion pancakes were also really yummy. For dessert, the yellow custard baos were adorable. Service was also very friendly. A great spot!

The food is not bad but the portions size is small. The best dish was the red oil dumplings. The dumplings were big and each piece had a shrimp in it. The fried noodles also better than their soup noodles. Overall glad to have this option in the Bee Cave area.

came on new year's day with all the tables full and lots of pickup orders. service was a bit slow, but it was expected with most other businesses closed for the new year excited to see an asian restaurant opening in bee cave! i would come back just for the soup dumplings - they were very juicy and on par with other good restaurants in the US. the other dishes had small portion size for the price and the taste was very catered toward western/american taste buds so the more traditional dishes was just okay & orange chicken was good lols

So good! Fresh food and friendly staff. The kids loved the soup dumplings and sweet chocolate bao.

Really enjoyed this new spot for Asian food in west Austin! Normally for food this good, I have to drive up to the Highland Mall area, but I really enjoyed most of what we ordered. Highlights: Red oil dumplings were spicy & flavorful, BBQ bao were perfectly steamed and gorgeous. Mapo tofu had really nice sauce on it. Lowlights: the soup dumplings were good but a little too large to eat in one bite, which made them awkward to handle. And the beef and noodles needed some more spice to it, good noodles but kind of boring. Plus the tofu in the mapo tofu was a bit goopy - I prefer my tofu firmer / crispier. This place is new and quiet so far, but comfortable inside without being fancy. I hope it is not quiet for long!

Very friendly service and excellent food. I tried the chicken stir fried noodles, orange chicken (not pictured) and custard bao. Everything came out quickly and had amazing flavor. The orange chicken might be the best I've ever tasted.

We were excited to learn that this restaurant had opened, so we tried it for the first time this week. We tried the chicken and cabbage dumplings, the scallion pancakes, the vegetable fried rice, and the chicken noodle stirfry. We had a delicious pot of hot chrysanthemum tea, and the piggy Bao custard dessert. The food was amazing, very fresh, the server was very helpful to make sure we didn't order anything too spicy because that would not have worked for us. My favorite, which was surprising, was the vegetables fried rice. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try, we are so glad that they are here. I can't wait to go back and try more new items.

All the employees were very kind, food was great! We live outside of Austin and this is closer to home than the other dumpling place I have found. Excited to have found them, will definitely be adding this place to my list

Oh how deliciously grateful we are for this restaurant. The soup dumplings were amazing, seaweed salad flavor and portion were great, we also had the BBQ Bao which we felt should have been stuffed with a decent serving of protein. The ratio Bao:BBQ was 95:5. Price was affordable and service very lovely

    Red bean buns

Super sweet staff and amazing food! The pork soup dumplings, cucumbers, and noodles were all delicious. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Will definitely be back!

Best dumpling I've had in some time! Staff were friendly and food was on point. But Bun, dumplings, and noodles are the stars of the show.

We've tried ordering items gluten-free, and going through each dish ingredient by ingredient to eliminate the gluten-full ones, and ordering items that should not have gluten to begin with. All failed and they were each followed by a long night of cramps and diarrhea. So we've reluctantly crossed them off our list. But if you don't have gluten concerns, the food is pretty good, especially for the more "Chinese" dishes. There is usually at least one Chinese speaker who can talk about Chinese items not on the regular menu. We marked them down slightly for service because it really is hit or miss depending on who you speak with both on the phone and in the restaurant.

Thanks to reviews from fellow Yelpers like Steve W. and Samuel C., I felt confident suggesting Ling Wu to my friends and my girlfriend. I made a reservation for that Wednesday night at 7:00 pm, and by the time we arrived, the place was absolutely packed. There was a line of people waiting to be seated. I don't know if they were walk-ins or also had reservations, but thanks to ours, we were sat immediately with ease. I definitely recommend making a reservation. The interior of the building is beautiful, as is the patio with string lights and shrubbery. We sat inside, and the lowly lit atmosphere was excellent. All of the decor really makes the space feel cozy. Water is served in little mugs, and a paper mat is placed on the table because they know Austinites are messy. We all ordered drinks. Two people got a Kirin Light, one got a cocktail, and I ordered their mocktail Spritz. We also shared an appetizer of the Szechuan Spicy Cucumber, which arrived as an incredible tower of cucumber that was both fantastic and delicious. I lowkey ate half of the tower. My girlfriend ordered their soup dumplings, which were pretty good. Soup dumplings are not really my personal style, but everyone else at the table loved them. I was most excited for my entrée. I ordered the Orange Peel Akashi Beef with a side of brown rice, and honestly, it is some of the best Asian cuisine I've ever had. I've seen reviews complaining about the price point, but you can't compare a wagyu steak to Texas Roadhouse, and you can't compare a sit-down Asian restaurant to a Chinese buffet. This is clearly a step above. You don't have to fully dress the part, but this is practically fine dining. Top tier service, top tier atmosphere, and top tier food. This isn't a casual noodle shop, buddy. Overall, it's an excellent experience and definitely worth the steeper price tag. I recommend Ling Wu if you understand that sometimes you have to pay more for a higher quality meal. If you're not that type of person, grow up, because you're missing out on some of the best Asian food Austin has to offer. RIYL: A great meal with a great atmosphere

I ordered hot and sour pork soup. I had never had hot and sour soup with meat. Portions were generous, ingredients fresh, and the food arrived smoking hot. The noodles were soft, smooth and flavorful. The pork inside looked like tiny meatballs. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the restaurant was completely full and customers were continuing to flow in. Because the restaurant is rather small, I had to wait about 20 minutes for my order. Jim, one of the owners, said if I had ordered 3 items it would take about 45 minutes, that's why I went with one. You could easily tell that many folks at the restaurant were regulars, which means the food, service or both were exceptional. Definitely will be returning to Three Gorges...

Family…read morestyle, big portions at a good price point. - Cumin Lamb: A heaping pile of thinly sliced lamb that is tender mixed in with cumin seeds, sichuan peppercorns, fresh cilantro, and red chilis. The cumin seeds give it that signature earthy, aromatic flavor and you get a slight tingly numbing spice sensation from the chilis and peppercorn. The lamb is not overly gamey, but it still does taste like lamb so if you are not really a lamb fan, I'd choose something else. - Jumping Fish: A very popular dish! Tender white fish fillets that is so soft it melts in your mouth. It is in a flavorful oil and broth that is refreshing from the fresh jalapenos. It is a savory dish, yet still relatively mild. It commes with napa cabbage as well! This was my favorite dish and I loved the flavor combined with the white rice. - Mapo Tofu (Vegetarian): They have one with pork as well, but I got the vegetarian version. Silky soft tofu cubes in that signature mapo tofu sauce and numbing peppercorns. Despite the appearance of all the dishes, none of them were very spicy. Overall, a comforting soft, spicy, savory dish with a slight tingle. - Eggplant in garlic sauce: A deliciously sweet and umami garlic sauce. The eggplants could have been a bit more cooked through in my opinion though since it was still quite firm. I loved it still! Note that all the dishes to me were not spicy just had an underlying subtle spice or tingle (like a finishing flavor note if you will). Also, since it is sichuan the dishes are on the oilier side. You order with the cashier at the front and pay up front as well. Food comes out quickly. It is a small space with three rows of tables (maybe around 12-15 tables give or take), so it does fill up fast. I went at around 5:40 PM on a Thursday and there was no wait, but by the time we finished eating at around 7PM, the restaurant was full. House of Three Gorges was hyped up a lot on my social media feed and through word of mouth, so I came in with high expectations. Luckily, they did not disappoint.

Included in lunch are choice of soup (corn, hot and sour, egg drop, and wonton), egg roll, fried or steamed rice, and the main course. My friend and I both chose wonton soup and shrimp entrées. The soup was rather salty. The entrées we ordered were very good, with my friend's Kung Pao shrimp on the spicy side. There was no skimping on the amount of shrimp!
