Service was fast and the food was delicious! We got the steamed shrimp dumplings, BBQ bao and beef stir fry noodles. Everything was fresh with a nice presentation. My daughter ordered a jasmine tea and it came in a tea pot. We really enjoyed having more choices close to home! Give them a try! The were 5 tables total on a Sat night. The music was quiet enough to have conversations. Very simple decor and clean!! Dessert was the custard dumplings. Sweet but not over powering, with a little citrus flavor to it. Definitely want to try the chocolate ones next time! read more

Wanted to like this place, but sadly it bombed. We ordered the pork and crab soup dumplings. They served them in a tiny metal pie tin. The soup dumplings are way too big for that tin and the spoon they serve them with. Once my husband punctured it all the liquid pored out on the table. Had to ask for a bowl. The bigger issue was there was no crab and hardly any pork. It was all dumpling and quit bland. Their dumbling sauce was over powered with ginger. We ordered combo fried rice and fried spicy fish. The rice was so bland and the meat had a weird rubbery texture. Maybe precooked, I am not sure, but big tough chunks of chicken and beef and the shrimp was meh. Fried fish was so salty. Omg, we went from bland rice to over salted fish! The batter reminded me of funnel cake batter douced in chili oil instead of traditional red chilis or jalapeno, just awful. I drank two glasses of water and came home and drank two more because of the salt. I wish them the best, but I would rather drive to have good authentic Chinese food then eat here again. This was a 1 and done experience. read more

Stepped into A One Dumplings with my husband earlier this week for dinner. The place is super nice and clean. Service is also fast and friendly. The food however wasn't the best. The good: the chicken chow stir fried noodles--very flavorful! The mediocre: The General Tso had an oddly vanilla taste to it. The fry batter made it taste like funnel cake. The fry batter needs to be improved. The BBQ buns were kind of unremarkable lacking any flavor, a bit overwhelmed by the giant baos. Portions were great imo! I would come again just to try out the dumplings. read more

Seen this place open and wanted to try this place out. The place was super clean and the server was really nice. I ordered the lunch special to go. I looked at the menu on the lunch special and you can only pick select main meal. I love orange chicken and wanted to try it. The server said its their special recipe. Got home and tried it and it was okay. The soup just had tofu and green onions. Just a regular soup. I would go back and try something else. I would recommend this place to try out. There could be something thats really nice and tasty. read more

We loved everything about this place! We had the colorful dumplings and liked all 3 flavors with the chicken being the favorite. We had the Kung Pao lunch special which was a perfect portion size for lunch. It had a great flavor and the egg roll that comes with it was crispy but not oily tasting which was great. The service was also very attentive and friendly! Highly recommend!!!!! read more

This was really great authentic Chinese food! We love hot oil noodles, and these are probably the best we've had in Austin. I don't eat pork, so I was super happy to see they had chicken soup dumplings. The scallion pancakes were also really yummy. For dessert, the yellow custard baos were adorable. Service was also very friendly. A great spot! read more

Generous extra star. The dumplings were not good at all. I ate one and couldn't stomach the rest. I also ordered the beef baos. I ate most of them due to just how hungry I was but I didn't necessarily enjoy them. The meat used in them left little to be desired. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. I just can't justify the amount we spent for the quality. read more

I went with my son when they first opened, and we had the pork and scallion dumplings, the cha Siu Bao and Scallion Pancake. All of it was good but you could tell they were just starting up. The service was great. It's not fancy but very authentic. I ordered from Uber Eats last night and got the spicy chicken cube and a chicken fried rice. The spicy chicken cube is amazing and so was the fried rice but there's something about the spicy chicken cube and whatever umami they're using. Absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh. Next time I want to try their tonkotsu ramen and I'm a sucker for a good eggroll so I need to try one of those. Anyway, try this place. It's delicious. They just opened not too long ago Support local read more

came on new year's day with all the tables full and lots of pickup orders. service was a bit slow, but it was expected with most other businesses closed for the new year excited to see an asian restaurant opening in bee cave! i would come back just for the soup dumplings - they were very juicy and on par with other good restaurants in the US. the other dishes had small portion size for the price and the taste was very catered toward western/american taste buds so the more traditional dishes was just okay & orange chicken was good lols read more

Really enjoyed this new spot for Asian food in west Austin! Normally for food this good, I have to drive up to the Highland Mall area, but I really enjoyed most of what we ordered. Highlights: Red oil dumplings were spicy & flavorful, BBQ bao were perfectly steamed and gorgeous. Mapo tofu had really nice sauce on it. Lowlights: the soup dumplings were good but a little too large to eat in one bite, which made them awkward to handle. And the beef and noodles needed some more spice to it, good noodles but kind of boring. Plus the tofu in the mapo tofu was a bit goopy - I prefer my tofu firmer / crispier. This place is new and quiet so far, but comfortable inside without being fancy. I hope it is not quiet for long! read more

Came in for lunch, nothing to fancy. Really warm and inviting owners for this restaurant. I took Chef special noodle soup and soup dumplings. Noodle soup had 4 star noodle but broth was a tad too plain for me, needs some extra kick of soy and chili oil. The soup dumplings though are perfect, I like chili oil with mine instead of dumpling sauce. Perfect dumplings imo, just a burst of flavors u expect and freshly made. A good addon to boring beecave foo scene, would advice to go a little punchier on the flavors if the customer is looking for it. read more

The food is not bad but the portions size is small. The best dish was the red oil dumplings. The dumplings were big and each piece had a shrimp in it. The fried noodles also better than their soup noodles. Overall glad to have this option in the Bee Cave area. read more

We were excited to learn that this restaurant had opened, so we tried it for the first time this week. We tried the chicken and cabbage dumplings, the scallion pancakes, the vegetable fried rice, and the chicken noodle stirfry. We had a delicious pot of hot chrysanthemum tea, and the piggy Bao custard dessert. The food was amazing, very fresh, the server was very helpful to make sure we didn't order anything too spicy because that would not have worked for us. My favorite, which was surprising, was the vegetables fried rice. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try, we are so glad that they are here. I can't wait to go back and try more new items. read more

The food and service are wonderful. I was extremely excited to check this place out and even took my Asian family there who are obviously very discriminating about Asian cuisine. Oh how deliciously grateful we are for this restaurant. I'm giving this place 5 stars, although it probably closer to 4.5, I'm just generally irritated by the and reviews that are dragging it down. This place certainly deserves your attention. Food is fresh, hand made bao and dumplings - arguable the best soup dumplings around. If you're looking for your run of the mill, "Americanized" Chinese food, this isn't for you. This is the good stuff. Service was great and friendly. Bee Cave should be proud to have this place here! read more

A ONE Dumpling and Noodle Bar has brought the best Chinese food I've had in the Greater Austin area straight to Bee Cave! I strongly encourage those able to go to A ONE to try their Red Oil Dumplings, Water Boiled Fish, Spicy Beef Noodle Soup, SOUP DUMPLINGS. Even the standard pan fried dumplings rival some of the best I've eaten living in Boston/Houston, fresh homemade taste with lots of filling. The cutest homemade custard bao piggies topped off a truly wonderful experience. Also tables surrounding us raved about the orange chicken. We will definitely be back to try their other dishes! read more

We really wanted to try this restaurant as we had heard great reviews. We walked in around 6pm for Saturday dinner and it was busy. Cute little place. For a Saturday evening they had 2 people serving 12+ tables. We ordered the pork soup dumplings, chicken stir fry noodles, and orange chicken. Soup dumplings were pretty good and we got those fairly quickly. Our meals... the orange chicken arrived a good 10 minutes before the chicken stir fry noodles. The orange chicken was very sweet and tasted like marmalade. The stir fry chicken was better, but not great. On the positive, the server was very friendly. read more

Not good dumplings were meh, better ones are available frozen at the grocery, taste was off and bland. Other dishes were bad. Took so long to get main course like 25 minutes and then it was cold. I do not recommend this place.
