Loved this place! The decor and vibe is everything you need when getting an açaí bowl! The two ladies up front greeted us immediately with big smiles and they gave us space to look over the menu. The menu has something for everyone. They were also so kind to give me a side PB & bananas for my two puppies. The only problem is they don't have a place in Pflugerville, so hopefully they consider it soon.

I was treated by Austin Runners Club to $15 to spend at Playa Bowls as a reward for volunteering at one of their races. (Austin Runners Club has a partnership with Playa Bowls and hence was able to sponsor the reward.) I had never been to Playa Bowls, so I was excited to try one of their smoothie bowls. I had run that morning and thought it would be a good recovery meal, with protein and carbohydrates. Their menu is extensive, making it hard to choose. All of the smoothies sound so good. They have seven categories of bowls: Açaí, Green, Pitaya, Mango, Coconut, Oatmeal and Special Bowls. There are 5-6 bowls within each category, and each of the bowls sound great! I ended up choosing the Green Power Bowl: Green blend with vanilla protein, topped with Granola, almond butter, and bananas. The green blend consists of kale, pineapple and coconut milk. I chose this because I am a big fan of green-based drinks for the not-so-sweet taste and health benefits. The smoothie bowl was so refreshing and delicious! I tried to eat slow and savor it. My friend ordered the Açaí-based Power Bowl: Playa Açaí with chocolate protein, topped with granola, banana and peanut butter. She has a banana allergy, so they substituted with strawberries. It looked delicious! I love the beach-themed decorations (playa is Spanish for "beach"). There is an explanation of how the New Jersey-based chain got started after having smoothies during a surfing trip in Hawaii. The staff is friendly and helpful. I will definitely have to go back and try some of the other bowls! I joined the Playa Bowl app, which entitles me to 15% off my next order, and subsequent rewards for purchases.

This was my first time trying Playa Bowls. I ate this right before a dental appointment which may have been wrong in hindsight, but I had a couple of mins to wait before going next door to Enamel, so I risked it for the biscuit. I got the tide banana bowl, and it was so refreshing & not too sweet! I wanna come back to try their other categories. I love the decor, the A/C was on pretty high - I get that it's hot outside but then you're also eating an ice cold dessert, so do with that opinion what you will.

This is our favorite açai bowl place in Austin. I don't think we ever had a bad bowl. Everything is smooth and delicious. I love that they have various flavors - açai, Pattaya, banana, coconut, mango... And you can mix and match for your base. I usually get mango and pitaya. Always good service, delicious bowls, love going there.

This is such a hidden gem! Came here after a long day and their açaí bowl hit the spot. My partner and I got the Power Bowl and it was really yummy. It was refreshing and not annoyingly sweet like other açaís I've tasted at other restaurants. The staff who took our order was super sweet and did a good job at explaining the menu to us and offering recommendations. The place is also very beach themed with the painted sea/beach walls and surfboard looking tables. There's also some table games to play as well.

I have been obsessed with Playa Bowls! My go to order is the power bowl with nutella and you can mix bases so I get half acai half green. The service is always quick and you can even order ahead on the app. Love the interior, it is super cute with beach decor and fun music.

So glad this place exists. So many options to pick from! Usually places offer one bowl base and same toppings which get old. I have gone back several times and have always been amazing! I have only done pre orders on the app but my order is always done on time and staff has been friendly.

Wow wow wow! Finally I've found my go to Acai bowl shop. The power bowl with an Acai base was excellent, but the pink power bowl was even better. I love the concept of having different bases (banana, coconut, mango, pitaya, Acai). It leaves you with plenty of options to keep coming back for something new. Well done PB - we will be back!

Checked out this spot near my hotel when I was out visiting in Austin. Great vibes in there, huge menu selection to choose from. Wait time was not long, definitely a spot to work or just hang out. I order the "Goldie Mango" mango base with granola, banana, strawberries, and a drizzle of Nutella. I probably would ask for a tad bit more of Nutella because I love chocolate but it's my personal preference. Overall, the quantity of the bowl was worth for what you paid for. I will return back when in Austin again!

Civil Goat is the genre of coffee shops that are secluded from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. So many shops in Austin are located in districts that are busy and buzzing. The original Civil Goat is quiet and peaceful through the trees. Upon arrival, it looks like there's only 3 parking spots, but as you keep driving, there's a whole lot behind the shop for parking. It's not super expansive, but at 9:30 am on a Wednesday, I had no issue finding a spot. They have a large covered patio and a small interior shop. They have QR codes on tables to order on your phone and stand up kiosks for to go orders as well. You can also order inside from the barista, but I got a feeling they just prefer you order from the kiosk... I ordered a lavender latte that was delightful and warm. Very balanced in its flavors. It was served in a cute seafoam mug. My friend ordered a cappuccino that was served in frankly a cuter cup, so I was immediately jealous. I also ordered one of their specialty sandwiches called the Cuerney Sam with bacon, egg, American cheese, hot sauce (Cholula), and honey on a croissant. It was $12 which would have me on here complaining about SandFlation, but it was a hearty size and very well done. Nothing overpowered anything else, so the sandwich lived in harmony. I decided to order a second coffee to go. I got their Coco Capp with brown sugar and coconut syrup. They offer alternative milks of oat and almond free of charge, which is a huge W and something I don't see anywhere. It's a little out of the way for me, so I don't know how soon I'll return, but it made a quality impact on me and was floor raiser for my day. Plus there were goats! RIYL: Very civilized goats. Like "mmm, yes very nice" type of civilized.

I ordered an iced cappuccino with oat milk and one pump of vanilla and two pumps of lavender, it was perfect! My friend ordered a regular cappuccino and it was so cute! The avocado toast with peas could have been salted a bit more. The $4 chia pudding is tiny. There is only one restroom so be ready for a line. Also, it's kind of sad that you can't order from a person only your phone or a kiosk. But overall a good experience.

Was seated in about the middle of the restaurant along the wall. I love these seats cause you can see the coffee station and what's going on back there. Basically people watching. It was a little loud today, so I put on my head set and listened to some music. My server was Joyce and she was sweet. Took my order, which was breakfast tacos and a pineapple mimosa. My drink came super quick, and my food didn't take long at all. I mean like a couple minutes quick. Tacos were outstanding. And honestly as soon as I asked for a corn tortilla over the flour I thought, they're going to fall apart. But they didn't. And when you see the size of these tacos it will blow your mind that they didn't. Good corn tortilla. Scrambled eggs are fluffy, the potatoes are seasoned a little. They added bacon for me a that was chopped up inside the taco. Honestly it was a lot of food. I knew I wouldn't be able to finish it. But I did, and enjoyed every bite.

It was alot of families and friends gathering there as well as a few different people working on computers and reading. I ordered a cranberry mimosa was absolutely delicious. What really blew my mind was that the server told me we couldn't sub the toast on the breakfast plate with the tres leches French toast bc it wouldn't "taste right together". I'm now immediately put off because what kinda flavor yall have on your food to where sweet and savory don't go together. So we ordered masala chai, the mango lassi smoothie, breakfast potatoes and bacon. The chai and smoothie were both very disappointing. I love masala chai and drink it often enough to know that this chai tasted heavily watered down even thought it was freshly made. The smoothie didn't taste like mango at all, it tasted like mostly like nothing with a side of banana and oats. I wish they had the ingredients on the menu because my man wouldn't have ordered it if he knew there were bananas in it. The breakfast potatoes were pretty good after adding salt and pepper and the bacon was the best thing out of what we got. It was flavorful. Overall, not impressed with this place.
