Real cool spot and great location, new place in West campus across the street from the Otis. We have been to other playa bowls and they didn't disappoint. The Dolce latte smoothie had a good balance of sweet and coffee without being too sweet. The little juices were also good. I got the elderberry and it had a touch of cayenne. It was excellent. read more

So grateful this location popped up in the last 2 years!! The acai bowls are my favorite hands down. I get the Nutella bowl EVERYTIME! Love it (plus peanut butter on top trust me). The service is always very friendly and quick! Can easily hang around and chat with friends at this location! read more

Playa Bowls - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Austin, Texas

Loved this place! The decor and vibe is everything you need when getting an açaí bowl! The two ladies up front greeted us immediately with big smiles and they gave us space to look over the menu. The menu has something for everyone. They were also so kind to give me a side PB & bananas for my two puppies. The only problem is they don't have a place in Pflugerville, so hopefully they consider it soon. read more

I was treated by Austin Runners Club to $15 to spend at Playa Bowls as a reward for volunteering at one of their races. (Austin Runners Club has a partnership with Playa Bowls and hence was able to sponsor the reward.) I had never been to Playa Bowls, so I was excited to try one of their smoothie bowls. I had run that morning and thought it would be a good recovery meal, with protein and carbohydrates. Their menu is extensive, making it hard to choose. All of the smoothies sound so good. They have seven categories of bowls: Açaí, Green, Pitaya, Mango, Coconut, Oatmeal and Special Bowls. There are 5-6 bowls within each category, and each of the bowls sound great! I ended up choosing the Green Power Bowl: Green blend with vanilla protein, topped with Granola, almond butter, and bananas. The green blend consists of kale, pineapple and coconut milk. I chose this because I am a big fan of green-based drinks for the not-so-sweet taste and health benefits. The smoothie bowl was so refreshing and delicious! I tried to eat slow and savor it. My friend ordered the Açaí-based Power Bowl: Playa Açaí with chocolate protein, topped with granola, banana and peanut butter. She has a banana allergy, so they substituted with strawberries. It looked delicious! I love the beach-themed decorations (playa is Spanish for "beach"). There is an explanation of how the New Jersey-based chain got started after having smoothies during a surfing trip in Hawaii. The staff is friendly and helpful. I will definitely have to go back and try some of the other bowls! I joined the Playa Bowl app, which entitles me to 15% off my next order, and subsequent rewards for purchases. read more

This was my first time trying Playa Bowls. I ate this right before a dental appointment which may have been wrong in hindsight, but I had a couple of mins to wait before going next door to Enamel, so I risked it for the biscuit. I got the tide banana bowl, and it was so refreshing & not too sweet! I wanna come back to try their other categories. I love the decor, the A/C was on pretty high - I get that it's hot outside but then you're also eating an ice cold dessert, so do with that opinion what you will. read more

Fantastic spot with quick service, friendly staff, amazing selection, and super fresh products. The açaí bowls are incredible

This is our favorite açai bowl place in Austin. I don't think we ever had a bad bowl. Everything is smooth and delicious. I love that they have various flavors - açai, Pattaya, banana, coconut, mango... And you can mix and match for your base. I usually get mango and pitaya. Always good service, delicious bowls, love going there. read more

This is such a hidden gem! Came here after a long day and their açaí bowl hit the spot. My partner and I got the Power Bowl and it was really yummy. It was refreshing and not annoyingly sweet like other açaís I've tasted at other restaurants. The staff who took our order was super sweet and did a good job at explaining the menu to us and offering recommendations. The place is also very beach themed with the painted sea/beach walls and surfboard looking tables. There's also some table games to play as well. read more

I did not know there is Playa Bowls in Austin - so glad I found them on Ubereats. Love that they have a huge variety of options - banana, acai, pitaya, mango bases and toppings look super good and fresh. I had the power bowl with acai base and chocolate protein powder, bananas and peanut butter for topping and it was soo good. One of the better acai bowl I have had. I am a fan of Juiceland so pretty pumped about this new option in ATX. read more

Poor service and poor quality of ingredients. Cheap alt milks and wayyyyyyyyyyyy overpriced for what it is. Cashier was very rude and didn't say but 2 words when ordering. Won't be back!!! read more

So glad this place exists. So many options to pick from! Usually places offer one bowl base and same toppings which get old. I have gone back several times and have always been amazing! Checked out this spot near my hotel when I was out visiting in Austin. Great vibes in there, huge menu selection to choose from. Wait time was not long, definitely a spot to work or just hang out. I order the "Goldie Mango" mango base with granola, banana, strawberries, and a drizzle of Nutella. I probably would ask for a tad bit more of Nutella because I love chocolate but it's my personal preference. Overall, the quantity of the bowl was worth for what you paid for. I will return back when in Austin again! read more

Wow wow wow! Finally I've found my go to Acai bowl shop. The power bowl with an Acai base was excellent, but the pink power bowl was even better. I love the concept of having different bases (banana, coconut, mango, pitaya, Acai). It leaves you with plenty of options to keep coming back for something new. Well done PB - we will be back! read more

I don't know if it is because this is where I tried my first açaí bowl or not but this is my absolute favorite of any I've tried. I average at least a couple a week and I really try to keep one in the freezer - they are that awesome! read more

I've been cheating on Juiceland with this place....specifically the bowls....that says a lot. I'm cheating lol.

The ambiance was nice, service fair without a smile, dirty tables and a smoothie not worth the price.

I had a friend recommend me this place so I decided to go and try out. As soon as i walk in i greet the workers, there were like at least 4 girls working and they just all stare at me and don't greet me at all, and I honestly thought it was rude of them mostly because a few minutes later a guy came in and the workers quickly greeted him as soon as he came in. I know what it's like working in the food industry, i used to work in the restaurant and I was taught by my manager to always greet the customers even when having a bad day. Overall the bowls were good, just wish they had good customer service :( read more

The yummiest açaí bowls in Austin! Everything I've ever ordered here always tastes so fresh! They have plenty of options for add ins and base flavors. I like the coconut base flavor :)! This place is located in a strip mall so it shares the parking lot with other businesses but there is always plenty of parking. There are plenty of seating options inside. The service here is always quick! I'd recommend this place if you are ever in the area, be sure to sign up for their rewards program!! read more

Our family loves acai bowls and this one didn't disappoint. Great food. Great price to food ratio. Fun atmosphere. Friendly staff. Probably the best bowl we have found in TX so far. read more

I absolutely love this place and have come here a LOT. So much that I dream about owning one. Can't believe I haven't written a review but here I am. Recently met a friend at Juiceland and had the most disappointing acai bowl I've ever had. I'm done w/that place and sad b/c it's local. You can't go wrong w/the bowls and juices at Playa Bowls. Big fan of the pitaya and coconut and splitting your base to enjoy the best of both worlds. read more

I love the atmosphere of Playa Bowls! They always have good music playing and the people are wonderful. I met Sarah and Bianca and they are so kind and fun to talk to! Rachel and Jonathan are also so sweet. Everyone there is so helpful and the service is always so welcoming and engaging. I usually get the Nuteloco bowl but I can't wait to go back and try the smoothies!! Definitely come to Playa! read more

Such good bowls!! To top that the workers are so kind! It's a family owned business and they make you feel so welcome. 100% recommend !

they skimp out on toppings fs, asked for honey drizzle && goji berries & got about 5 berries & no honey lol

super yummy and well priced for the product. during my experience 2/3 employees were incredibly friendly and nice because of them and the product i will be going back. however, the 3rd employee handed my bowl to me with honey dripping from every side of the pool onto the counter. she didn't care to fix as someone else had to. read more
