Ok this place is SO CUTE! Everything inside is customized and unique. The donuts, kolaches and croissant sandwiches were super fresh. The person behind the counter was so pleasant. Service was fantastic! 10/10! I can't believe we didn't know about this place! We will be back!

They're truly is something very special and warm about this donut shop. The donuts are so good, everyone is very friendly and it's so clean. Such a great place to do some work and also grab an afternoon or morning snack.

We love donuts here! They have a mini cinnamon doughnut that is the BOMB! I keep coming back for the chocolate topped holes. Very sweet staff!

We first discovered this spot when our toddler was taking lessons at the original Emler Swim place around the corner. His reward for dealing with swim lessons he didn't particularly enjoy at the time was a sweet treat afterward. The toddler is now an almost 5th grader who loves to swim, and Emler has moved to new digs down the road, but Crown Donuts is still here and is now my go to pastry stop when I'm headed over to visit my daddy at his assisted living place nearby. My most recent visit was around 8:30a on a weekday. The morning rush had gone and I was the lone customer, but the case still had plenty of super fresh, round & filled donuts of all types, though the fritters were just about gone. Besides donuts, holes, twists, eclairs and the like, they also had a nice selection of meat-filled "kolaches" (or "klobásníky" as those in the know would call any savory Czech pastry) of several sizes. I asked the sweet proprietor if everything was freshly made that morning, and she responded with, "Of course! Of course!" I felt kinda bad for asking, but I had to do it, as I've been burned too many times by fly-by-night shops attempting to pass off their day-olds as fresh.... My order was a dozen assorted donuts, both glazed and "fancy", 2 bags of holes (a set of glazed, a set of blueberry cake), and a small jalapeño & cheese sausage kolache. Despite my irritating question, the madame threw in a gigantic footlong twist for free and offered to heat up my savory item for me. When I said I'd heat it when I got to the office, she offered advice on timing (15 seconds in the microwave, no more). Dad and his friends were very pleased to receive their dozen, especially Dad for his fancy coconut-topped number. The office-mates also had plenty of favorable comments on the holes & twists, both for texture & flavor. Not to be outdone, the kolache was fan-freaking-tastic, with a spicy zing, a nice snap to the sausage, and a heavenly soft yeast roll surround. If you're in the area in the morning, Crown Donut is definitely worth the stop.

Gordough's is one of those places that fully commits to indulgence. I was able to place my order online and schedule for pick up. The order was ready when I arrived. Parking was a bit challenging and the lot was full and they charge for parking. Service was quick, casual, just good energy and fast turnaround. I ordered my tried and true Miss Shortcake with their famous cake donut with cream cheese icing and fresh cut strawberries. The donut is so indulgent and was served warm with the most delectable flavor combinations. Tried the Son of a Peach with cream cheese icing, spiced peach filling, cake mix topping, cinnamon and sugar with honey butter. This one was a bit too overindulgent and sweet for my liking but was definitely worth a try. Portions are huge and can be shared as the donut is not as good warmed over. If you're in the mood for dessert and not think about calorie count, then this is the place.

The audacity Story time, Today I went to the original Round Rock location, downtown Round Rock, to buy my son's birthday donuts, It's tradition. Every year on his birthday he gets a dozen half glazed and half chocolate frosted donuts. Then I get a kolache and a dozen donut holes for myself. Well when I pulled up today the line was wrapped around all the way to Mays street. So I just followed the line of cars and got in line. You'd think that a line that long would take a long time but.... Round Rock donuts has this process down to a T. It took less than 10 minutes to get through that line and get my order. And those donuts came out hot and fresh. So did my kolache. Anywho, Don't let the lines scare you away, Just jump in and know they're going to move quickly. Also, If you're planning an office event or any type of event and you want donuts and coffee or kolaches donuts and coffee, Round Rock donuts offers a great menu for large orders and also they have a cake menu for custom cake orders. If you don't want to stay in line in your car you can also park wherever you can find a spot and go to the walk-up ordering window, It's shaded and there's plenty of space to hang out while your order is being made and brought out to you. All this to say, It's a Round Rock Donut, Happy Birthday to my Son!

For years, I'd heard so much good about them; it was about time to sample their goods. Since it was a weekday and a bit later in the morning hours, the line wasn't too bad. Watching the vehicles flying through the drive-thru, I could see that these folks have it down to a science. Order after order is being handed to their customers with military precision. We got a cinnamon roll and a fritter for the road, plus 6 donuts to take back home with us. The fritter was OK, I've had better. My wife's cinnamon roll was too huge to manage. It was definitely Texas-sized. The six donuts we took home were two blueberry cake donuts, two regular raised donuts, and two filled. The filled donuts were our favorites, along with the cake and the traditional raised. We can now say we've been to the legendary Round Rock Donuts.

Why am I going to one in Austin? Well, it's because I am a completeist and I try to go to as many Voodoo Doughnut locations as I can. Austin has two locations but Steve was only willing to tolerate going to one location so we went here. The doughnuts are going to be about the same as any other location however I did come across one that I haven't seen before. I am not sure if it was limited edition or what but I liked it. It was kind of take on a Black Forest Cake but it wasn't cherries that were on top of the doughnut and cream. It was more like blueberries. It was good and I am glad I tried it! I was really hoping to see the Ring of Fire Doughnut as it's my favorite but I didn't see it here. I got more of a powdered doughnut too as I do like their more basic doughnuts too. Steve got something that almost was like a Dubai-esque Chocolate Doughnut. It had pistachios on it and was a chocolate cake. That one was good too! Atmosphere is weird and quirky like all of their locations try to be which I can appreciate. So if you are addicted to Voodoo Doughnuts or have been wanting to try them but don't plan any PNW trips then definitely swing by the Texas locations. More and more locations are popping up all of the time!

The building is colorful and decorated in bright pink with fun artwork and decor for an uplifting vibe. The line moved quickly and the service was friendly fast and efficient. I was able to place my order and pay with Apple Pay. I ordered the Taiyaki Sundae with black sesame and ube swirl soft serve served in a fish shaped mochi Belgian style waffle with Oreo dust on top. You can customize your sundae with filling like organic red sweet beans, Nutella or custard and toppings like Oreo dust, fruity pebbles or rainbow sprinkles. I ate this on site and the nutty black sesame balanced the sweet ube perfectly, and the Oreo topping added the best crunch. They had a variety of mochi donut flavors. Lucky for me, nothing was sold out today. I ordered the Oreo ube mochi donut and ube milk tea to-go. I ate the mochi donut later that day and it was probably my least favorite item from my order. It had the chewy mochi texture however I didn't get enough of the rich ube flavor. It had somewhat of a bitter aftertaste and the Oreo overpowered the ube. I drank the ube milk tea the next day and it was creamy, smooth, and not overly sweet. I really enjoyed the flavor profile of the beverage and would order it again. Overall, enjoyed my selections and will be back to try more dessert options and flavors from one of the most unique Asian dessert spots in Austin!
