Came here last night for the $.85 blizzard deal and ordered some food to go with it. The love Dairy Queen icecream and an Oreo blizzard always hits. The service here was great and they did a really good job thoroughly mixing up the blizzards. I will say though that I am not a fan of Dairy Queen food. We got the belt buster and a kids chicken strip meal and both were very subpar. The burger had zero flavor and the breading on the chicken strips was very dense and flavorless. Overall this Dairy Queen is very nice with very cute outdoor seating but I would only come here for ice cream! read more

I don't think a lot of fast food joints offer steak fingers and these were so good and so nostalgic for me I loved them! Fries were meh but the blizzard I got was the star of the show of course. I went to the drive through order a hunger buster and it was absolutely horrible. By the time i got home the burger had so much grease that the buns were completely soggy. Not only that the drive through girl named Paige was really rude. I gave her a compliment and instead did saying thank you she had to reiterate she was married. Worst experience I've ever had with customer service through any drive thru. While placing my order, I accidentally blacked out for a second that I misunderstood what the worker was saying that I ended up repeating my order just incase my order wasn't placed to start with. While I was driving to receive my order, the workers were making fun of the way I was shouting out my order unknowingly that I caught them mocking me behind my back. To preface this, I was born and raised in Texas and I've been eating Snickers Blizzards (or Choco Cherry Love Blizzards - IYKYK!) for most of my life. Dairy Queen was an essential part of life growing up for me, and we'd regularly stop in for a Blizzard, Dilly Bar, or dinner. It think it's a bit disappointing to see the quality of food go down so much, and I have to say that based on my most recent experiences, I'm becoming a Culver's convert since their Mixers are always blended and they offer gluten free buns. It's hard to justify buying a $5 small, poorly blended Snickers Blizzard or a $5.50 medium (and also poorly blended) Snickers Blizzard, when I can buy a half-gallon for a better price from H‑E‑B. Especially since I can't eat anything else at Dairy Queen anymore, I just don't think it's worth it to pay so much for a Blizzard that's only half blended. It's also curious to me when I see that the pricing for Blizzards is different for different locations, but it really just comes down to the quality and consistency for me. read more

Horrible experience this evening......I. am at this location at least 5 days per week. I was in earlier this even with no issues. I returned tonight at approximately 8:35 pm. I ordered an Arnold Palmer. And every time --just about--- there is a state of confusion with this one item which completes my order. The first person who I thought was going to accept my money looked at me trying to speak clearly then immediately closed the window and walked away while I still held out my money to me taken Then... another person comes to the window... I'm trying to get my drink and she's trying to explain to me that with the Arnold Palmer the tea is always sweet which was an issue because there are times when I'm there and I'm questioned if I want sweet or if I want unsweet but I finally just said ma'am just please give me the drink and let me give you my money and that woman said.... you're rude and I don't have to serve you and she close the window and walked away. I was very insulted I did not do anything that should have merited her offensiveness ... nor did I say anything that should have offended her nor di she listen to a word I was trying to say ... I was the one offended and insulted... how dare she ...and I will contact headquarters. it was not her place to do what she did and I used to work in hospitality 50 years ago and I know that the customer is always right. How dare you..exactly who do you think you are? Someone who can treat people however you choose and then walk away like you that big and bad? One franchise where you rarely, if ever, have to worry about this is a Mayfield DQ. (And he's got a webpage to help you find which locations in the Austin area are his.) So, on Sunday evening, when I was trying to figure out what to eat, I remembered there was a new DQ location nearby. I stopped in and got a basket of steak fingers (which we long-time Texans used to call a country basket). The food was on point. And because it's a Mayfield DQ, the staff was beyond friendly and efficient. Not to mention that it was spotlessly clean. Y'all got your Tacos all wrong!! The meat was overcooked and very dark. Too much sauce... it should be just seasoned beef. Lettuce was not shredded properly and some pieces were questionable. Plus, at other Dairy Queen's the tacos are LOADED with THICK shredded cheddar. Management should go to another location to see how they load up on the cheddar with lots of tomatoes to be consistent with the other stores. Very SLOW service. Not sure why they splatter the "Mayfield" name all over their stores, as if it's a sign of prestige. Quite frankly, any one that has had this name is always so slow and dirty. The CP location is super dirty. This 183N location is SLOWWWWW. I haven't been inside but the two times I went through the drive-thru, for 8-10 cars it took 12 plus minutes to get served. Eek. Not too efficient. Also of the two times, one blizzard was missing whipped cream and the other hot fudge, that I paid extra for. read more

Do yourself a favor & don't bother. Been coming here once a week for the last year, always great. The last few months went way downhill. Usually get the Beltbuster combo, but recent;ly half the time they forgot a patty instead of double meat. Just got home from there, was happy to find 2 patties but very pink so not cooked. I take the burger to the counter to get one that's cooked. The manager says " well that's how they aways look ". Dude it's pink not cooked.......he gives me a blank look. So you're not going to fix this ?? So dropped the raw burger on the counter, said here you eat this crap & walked.
