We haven't been here in a few years but we were there for lunch today and Mr Singh is still as personable and funny as ever. The food is still incredible. Onion naan and saag paneer and chicken tika masala along with basmati rice and too much to finish. No buffet but way better than the Indian buffets in the area.

This is IT!! Wow!! Reddit said this was the best Indian food in KC. We were NOT disappointed!!! The staff here is amazing! They are SO friendly and kind. They showered us with attention and little treats. My wife and I ordered the mint naan and she got the tandoori chicken which she enjoyed very much. I got the Chicken Goa Curry at the suggestion of the owner. She was very right. It was magnificent!! This is a small family place in OP. Everyone was working on this July evening: Mom, Dad, daughter, sons...so cool. My wife is normally very sensitive to spice. She ordered hers mild and even had a few bites of my medium dish. It didn't hurt her. The mango lassi was a nice touch. Rice pudding too. We can't wait to return! What a GEM this place is. Just GO!!

Korma Sutra has likely been my most frequented restaurant of 2024! The staff are The Best. So welcoming and they love to share lil bites and sips of their favorite things throughout your meal. The naan, the curries and the chai tea keep me coming back! PS order extra so you have leftovers to take home. One of my KC go-to dinner spots!

My favorite Indian restaurant! The servers are always so happy and passionate about the food. You get more than just what you ordered- samples, desserts, tea and a handwashing at the end makes this restaurant really stand out and you start to feel like family. Always my go to for Indian food!

What an awesome and friendly spot for some of the best Indian food I've had in Kansas City! My wife and I went here on a random night where we did not want to cook and were craving some good butter chicken and Korma Sutra did not disappoint! We really loved the Tandoori Chicken and Butter Chicken, But the hospitality is the one key thing to note, it's like you're getting welcomed into the family or seeing family after a long time! They served us mango lassi and the most amazing chai tea and rice pudding I've ever had that warmed my soul and let us wash our hands with limes and fresh warm water. It was amazing, and made me feel welcomed. We will most certainly be back!

Yes, awesome. I go for the lunch buffet all the time. The owner is a major part of why Korma is so great. Great service and great food.

The Google reviews were a bit deceiving since it has a 4.5/5 rating and people were saying it was good but I was disappointed. The place was a bit dead and that should've been a sign. My crawfish tasted frozen. I would think being closer to Louisiana compared to where I lived, they would have easier access to live crawfish but I was wrong and I should've asked before I ordered it. We also got the reel catch which included a lobster tail, a snow crab cluster, 1lb of clams, and 1 lb of shrimp with garlic butter. We wanted the head on but our waiter heard wrong and we got head off which costed a bit more. This one was a bit better than the crawfish since the clams were good. We also ordered the Cajun shrimp Alfredo and that was decent. The waiter was friendly but I don't know if I'll ever comeback here. I was just disappointed and dissatisfied.

The service was outstanding and very attentive. The prices were more affordable compared to other places I've been to, and the food was absolutely delicious. One thing I did notice, though, is that they tend to serve many items separately, rather than combining them like some other spots do with eggs and sausage. I also tried their mango margarita, and it was a solid 10, super sweet and refreshing!

Tucked away in a cute shopping district is Penny's! We had no idea what we were walking in to but I am so happy to have found it! As we were promptly seated in started hearing a "tink tink" sound and looked up. Yall!! The cutest glass hummingbirds were hanging from the ceiling. It was stunning!! Ok, the food!!! I had the crab fried rice which my husband had to help me finish because it was a huge amount! Share if you can but with the understanding you might fight over the last bite. If you still have room after dinner get the butter cake! Ladies, it is worth the calories! The waiter was prompt and had us with drinks in no time! I usually come here for dim sum, and it is upsetting for me to say that my husband and I should've chose somewhere else to eat for dinner. For dinner, we ordered fried rice and chow fun. Those two main entrées were okay. You can't really mess up those two fillers at an Asian restaurant. We ordered scallion pancakes- they came out soggy and soft. Not even crispy like how they usually are. The flavor wasn't there either. If I wanted microwaved scallion pancakes, then I would've bought them from the store and made them myself. My husband ordered the short ribs- they were bland and tough like rubber. It had a funky taste to it that he couldn't describe and he had to force himself to swallow it because he didn't want food to go to waste. I ordered the chicken feet- this is one of dim sum's signature dishes and I am so upset I didn't even get to enjoy one of the dishes I always order. It was dry and the flavor wasn't there. The service was fantastic. They checked in on us and made sure our water was filled. The timing of the food coming in and out was fine. The ambiance was inviting. There was a sense of urgency and I appreciated that.
