    Tikka & Channa Masala

The staff welcomed me in right from the start! They went through the menu, showed me each protein option and even offered to let me sample before commiting to my order. I was sceptical that there wouldn't be much spice, since buffets tend to lean more on the mild side, but the flavors really came through. Went with the Butter Chicken & Channa Masala because I wanted saucy. My only recommendation would be to ask if they can put the cold ingredients separate from the hot for the takeaway orders. So the cucumbers stay crisp and cool! Definitely recommend trying Indian Belly for a quick and satisfying meal!

I enjoyed the healthy options, flexible bowls, generous portions, reasonable prices and cheerful, helpful staff during my dine-in lunch visit. My custom bowl ($14.99) included choice of one base, one main, three healthy toppings and two sauces. It served with a smile just four minutes after I ordered at the counter. The 6" x 2" bowl was loaded with flavor and pretty filling. I noticed a generous amount of quality chicken, tasty yellow rice and a creamy, slightly spicy sauce. The three veggies nicely complemented the entrée and made for a more balanced meal - nice! The dining area had one TV tuned to Indian dancing videos with background music coming from the TV. They also offered a fountain drink dispenser. Overall, excellent! I wish they were not located so far away.

Great service, food is delicious. I had the smashed burger combo and it was amazing! The combo includes the fries and drink at a good price. Definitely recommended!!!

Sorry for the hurried photo, there are several more bowl/wrap choices

Came in at lunchtime expecting a buffet style Indian restaurant. Instead this is an Indian version of Subway/Chipotle with smaller portion sizes. Various types of food are served in plastic bowls or "wraps". I had the "Belly Special" which was mutton meatballs in a really tasty sauce with a tiny salad shoved into a corner of the bowl. Basmati had some big lumps and the Manager (owner?) was quick to fix. New concept, so We'll see if it's successful. This could be a good choice for takeout.

Best Indian restaurant! Picture doesn't say all.(I had few bites before I took it) Such kind people. Food is fantastic! Even the naan is grilled! We had garlic yogurt, peri peri sauce, mint, Kashmiri sauce and every bite was very yummy! Pickled onions, beets, banana peppers are very good too! Flavorful, delicious!!! Highly recommend anyone who likes Indian food!

The newest addition to "fast casual" Indian in Olathe, this small restaurant is a quaint spot with friendly service. I appreciated the scaled down menu and open kitchen. Unfortunately, the price point didn't feel justified with the use of disposable bowls and cutlery served on plastic trays, as well as a dining area that's quite small and unassuming. My bowl was served with salad on top, which wasn't ideal, as I didn't necessarily want raw cucumbers mixed in with a curry. Would probably try a custom bowl next time. A serving dish with separate compartments would be a huge improvement! Flavors were perfectly fine, but didn't make a lasting impression. Rooting for them to succeed!

The family and I finally got to try The Indian Belly tonight! I'm so happy to have a good Indian restaurant that's so close to home. The staff is absolutely lovely! They were so patient and happy to explain the different menu items to my family. We got the steak bowl, the mutton kofta, and the paneer tikka masala -- all of which was very well seasoned and generously portioned! I was personally happily surprised by the amount of meat/protein that each bowl came with as a lot of other restaurants tend to not add as much. We also tried the masala chai, the mango lassi, and the lime mint drink. The fan favorite was the mango lassi, so definitely give it a try if you're there. Currently, they are hosting a special to celebrate Diwali and the whole restaurant is decorated in traditional colors as well. I strongly urge people to give it a try!

We were greeted with super friendly service and then treated to the best Indian food we've ever had. We've had some Indian food in London before as well as different ones across the city and this is now our favorite. It's hot fresh and they make their sauce brand new every three hours.

What I received. Iceberg salad with some chicken.

The Mango Lassi was flavorful but everything else was lackluster. I ordered the Chicken Tikka and the chicken was not very flavorful. The garlic yogurt and cilantro mint sauce were imperceptible. The most disappointing part was the menu advertised a house salad with cucumbers, onions, and cilantro but what I received was just bagged Iceberg salad mix (red cabbage, carrots, and lettuce) with some jarred banana peppers on top. Definitely not worth the price.

Just got this bowl. I told the guy behind the counter (maybe owner?) to make a bowl how he would want it. It was AMAZING!

Told the guy behind the counter to make a bowl how he would want it. I think he was the owner. Super great guy and was very informative! Highly recommend and will be back soon.

Food was great!!! Really enjoyed the chicken pastry, butter chicken and Paneer dish.

Longboards has been part of my story since my UMKC days. I first went after hearing all the hype,…read moreand as they've expanded, I've followed them from location to location. When they finally opened in Overland Park, I was ecstatic -- it felt like my old college staple had grown up with me. One side note that says it all: during KU Hospital orientation, HR did that classic icebreaker -- "What's your favorite restaurant?" Someone mentioned Longboards, and instantly a chorus of people chimed in with "Yeah!" That kind of reaction tells you everything -- Longboards isn't just food, it's a Kansas City cult favorite. Menu-wise, they do things differently. Think grilled burrito-style wraps or deli-style cold wraps, but you can make any of them into an "OG" (their giant version with a hard-boiled egg inside) or turn them into a rice bowl. That's what makes it fun -- the creativity of the flavors plus the flexibility to make it your own. My forever go-to is the Argentine quesadilla flat wrap -- steak, shrimp, guac, mozzarella, pico, and chimichurri ranch. It's basically surf-and-turf at a reasonable price, and the flavors just explode. Easily a 10/5. I usually grab a second item too. This time it was the WOW Kung Pao wrap -- chicken, peanuts, veggies, rice, spicy Chinese sauce. Think kung pao stir-fry, but wrapped up. Perfect balance of heat and crunch, a solid 4/5. Over the years , I've also loved the 5 Alarm Beef (spicy, but worth it). The the Cabo chicken/steak (crowd favorites), and the 619 OG (go big or go home) are prety solid too. And don't sleep on their rotating monthly creations -- some of the most fun menu items they've done. My favorite was One Time in Bangkok -- as spicy and naughty as it sounds. Basically a pad thai wrap loaded with Thai Peanut, Spicy Chinese, and 5 Alarm sauce. Absolutely amazing, and another 10/5. Honestly wish they'd make it a permanent menu item. The sauces are what really set Longboards apart. They bottle a few (Thai Peanut, 5 Alarm, Chipotle Ranch, Teriyaki), and I wish they'd sell their Spicy Chinese sauce too -- it's that good. Same with the chimichurri ranch on the Argentine -- I could honestly bathe in both of them. Pro tip: grab a bottle of Thai Peanut sauce and use it at home to instantly level-up Trader Joe's bowls. Sometimes the bottles are half off during happy hour times. I've tried their noodle bowls and rice bowls -- tasty, but rice noodles aren't my thing. And the Hawaiian sliders? Hard pass. Stick to the wraps, flat wraps, or OG-style burritos and you can't go wrong. The staff is always friendly, the food is consistent -- super quick, super fresh, always hot. Seating is limited (this location is mainly carry-out), but I love the surf-inspired vibe with the surfboard-shaped countertop. What makes Longboards stand out most is the value. They've managed to keep prices fair while maintaining high quality -- even post-COVID, when so many places either dropped standards or raised prices. That combination of affordability, creativity, flexibility, and consistency is rare. Longboards is a KC institution for a reason. Five stars every time.
