Buffet

Thank you Kababs for an amazing Sunday Lunch. Their buffet is full of different options and the food is very fresh. The warm Naan bread was definitely delicious. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive to the needs of the table. I love that by the end of the meal she offered chai to the table. For a quiet and very clean dining experience please try Kababs!

I do not recommend this place and it's unfortunate because I was so excited to try it out. First off the restaurant has Mediterranean in the name and I had select vision and didn't see the "pak Mediterranean" meaning Pakistan food. I am very spoiled with Pakistanian food because that's where my neighbors are from and used to eat at their house often and this place was lacking flavor....lots of it. I ordered the chicken tikka Marsala I understand that it does have a tomato base to it but it was overwhelming, I didn't taste anything else and it lacked chicken, it was more of a soup. The mixed kabab was disappointing. I thought it was going to come out on the stick they also make you CHOOSE between naan or basmati rice...I think both should be given but it's not. The same thing with that chicken tikka marsala dish you had to choose between naan or rice. I ordered the garlic naan because I wanted rice and naan with my meal and the naan was terrible, it didn't even have a garlic flavor and it has a cracker consistency. It wasn't dough-y and fluffy...I was soooo disappointed. As for the service the waitress was polite but she would go missing for a longggggg time. She didn't even fill up our water. It was hard to track her down to pay our bill. And speaking of our bill it was $60 for lunch. WAY TOO OVERPRICED for what we got. I will not be coming back very disappointed!

Positives: clean restaurant with an appealing interior. Food is fresh and tasty. Staff is friendly and attentive. Negatives: we went today for lunch and I wanted to order off of their extensive menu, my husband was at the buffet getting his plate, while he was doing that I was told by our server that I could not order from the menu because the cooks were busy making food for the buffet. I have Celiac and so I knew what I wanted from the menu. So I had to go ahead and just do the buffet also since my husband had already gotten his food. The buffet was $22.50 in the afternoon (the price is not posted in the menu or anywhere we could see) and we both felt that there was not enough offerings of various food to warrant that lunch buffet cost. The food was fresh because they would bring it out when the pan was empty. So when I went to get mine, several main items were gone that my husband had got on his plate. I had to go back and look for them a bit later. While each item we tried (I had little to choose from because of diet) was fresh and good, we both felt they should offer more selections. My main issue is that they should have a sign saying that they don't serve from the menu during the buffet times. We would have left instead of paying over $50 for lunch.

Buffet 5-9 Fridays and also for lunch on other days of the week but check the website to be sure. Lots of unique food for a Midwesterner and they bring fresh bread to your table.

Naan, 2 Fried Vegetable Samosas, Makhni Chicken Tikka, Paneer Tikka Masala

My daughter is vegetarian so we frequent a lot of Indian fare. Kebabs has now been established as the fav in KC! The Naan, masala and samosas were top notch! Can't wait to try the buffet!

Clean and great service. Good selection of food. Love everything I tired on buffet. However if you like different type of Indian food than it is not for you. Overall I will go back there again

Food was GOOD! We got the buffet which comes with Chai and Naan, best naan I've ever had. Everything is seasoned really well.

Are there many non-spicy options on the buffet?

There is a good mix of mild and medium spicy. Nothing is blazingly spicy. There are usually two Biryanis (chicken and vegetable) and butter chicken that are not spicy. Heads up that this is more Pakistani than Indian. Absolutely delicious. Great… Read more

The food was not only flavorful but also reasonably priced, with a menu full of appetizers, salads, soups, wraps, sandwiches, and desserts. The chicken kebab plate I selected was very flavorful with rice, well-prepared seasoned roasted vegetables and a side of tzatziki sauce. The chicken was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy. The Pistachio Baklava dessert was a delightful conclusion, enjoyed immediately rather than being saved for later with coffee as originally planned. We were greeted as we walked in, and was given a sample of hummus to try . The atmosphere is very quiet, cozy very relaxing place to visit. I had chicken shawarma which was delicious. However, my friend went with what one of the employees recommended - chicken arayes - and I gotta say I was jealous. Chicken Gyro (no tzatziki) - Large, well-grilled pita with tomatoes. Simple and solid--this is why we came. It delivered for her--she was in a full-on food coma after. (4/5) Beef/Lamb Gyro - Enormous--one of the biggest I've had. Nice grilled crust on the pita, tasty meat. (4/5) Wish it came with diced onions, and the tomatoes were diced instead of sliced. Tzatziki is a bit thinner and slightly off from what I'm used to. But on mine, there was some on the sandwich and a side--hadn't seen that before. It actually worked well, kept the meat moist--without making it mushy--and let me add more as needed. Added sambal for heat, which helped. Kebab Platter - Mixed bag. Steak kebab was solid (medium rare), minced kebab was decent (in between), chicken was just okay. Rice was very dry--I think I noticed some sumac on top, but either way it didn't help. The salad was excellent--fresh with a lot of pop. Not something I'd order again, but if I did, I'd eat the salad with the rice and kebabs instead of starting with it. It adds the moisture and pop the rest of the plate is missing. That said, each component should stand on its own. (3/5) Overall: 4/5 Gyros carry. Salad and steak kebab were nice, but the platter didn't land. I'd stick to gyros or just do a steak kebab plate next time.
