Nice place in a strip mall. Seated immediately but all they have today is a huge buffet for Ramadan for $23, not that hungry so I asked if I could get a gyro. Mistake, meat was too tough to eat and the toothpick snapped off when I tried to take it out of the wrapper. Was offered the buffet for free for paying for the sandwich. Fries were good. read more

I was in the area doing some other things and placed a carryout order here on a whim and wow I was really surprised by this gem of a restaurant tucked away in this tiny shopping center. As soon as you enter you notice these gorgeous wood doors that give the space lots of character. Inside of this restaurant is really eye catching, they've done an amazing job at making a comfortable functional space that impresses but doesn't feel so upscale that you that it comes off as snooty dining, more accessible. But enough about the space, had the chicken curry which was cooked beautifully. I say that because the sauce is rich and tasty and the chicken is very clearly not that mass produced Sysco food systems quality but real chicken breast. The ingredient quality was superb, so much so I came back the next day to try another dish. I had a samosa which was really great, very crispy outside a delicious potato and pea inside. I also tried the chicken tikka masala and again the chicken cooked so well, the sauce so rich and full of flavor. This place is a real gem, the service was excellent and very quick. I hope this place succeeds and becomes a stalwart of the West 87th area because it is just such a phenomenal Mediterranean restaurant tucked away quietly in it's shopping center. We went there for dinner with friends and family. We ordered lamb biryani, chicken biryani and butter paneer, tandoori chicken. We asked specifically butter paneer specifically very mild for 3 years old but it was spicy. Service was nonexistent, were not served water repeatedly asked to fill empty cups. Waited long time to get to go containers. I don't recommend this restaurant for families. read more

We have been there a couple times over the years. The buffet is not large but what is on it is done very well. I think if you like the selection then the price is great, I don't find I always eat enough of the variety presented. The service is ALWAYS on point. I have never had bad service. Drinks refilled, plates removed and polite service. I have never felt abandoned or smothered. The restaurant is beautiful. Came here on a weekday at lunchtime with my husband. We both tried the lunch buffet, which has a variety of IndoPak style curries, rices, grilled meats and veggies, sauces and salads. Everything was delicious. It was also incredibly clean and neat. The staff were attentive and helpful. We have some food sensitivities and when we inquired whether there were certain dishes we should avoid the manager double checked with the kitchen and then walked us through the buffet himself pointing out which dishes to avoid (there were only a few). I do not recommend this place and it's unfortunate because I was so excited to try it out. First off the restaurant has Mediterranean in the name and I had select vision and didn't see the "pak Mediterranean" meaning Pakistan food. I am very spoiled with Pakistanian food because that's where my neighbors are from and used to eat at their house often and this place was lacking flavor....lots of it. I ordered the chicken tikka Marsala I understand that it does have a tomato base to it but it was overwhelming, I didn't taste anything else and it lacked chicken, it was more of a soup. The mixed kabab was disappointing. I thought it was going to come out on the stick they also make you CHOOSE between naan or basmati rice...I think both should be given but it's not. The same thing with that chicken tikka marsala dish you had to choose between naan or rice. I ordered the garlic naan because I wanted rice and naan with my meal and the naan was terrible, it didn't even have a garlic flavor and it has a cracker consistency. It wasn't dough-y and fluffy...I was soooo disappointed. As for the service the waitress was polite but she would go missing for a longggggg time. She didn't even fill up our water. It was hard to track her down to pay our bill. And speaking of our bill it was $60 for lunch. WAY TOO OVERPRICED for what we got. I will not be coming back very disappointed! read more

Positives: clean restaurant with an appealing interior. Food is fresh and tasty. Staff is friendly and attentive. Negatives: we went today for lunch and I wanted to order off of their extensive menu, my husband was at the buffet getting his plate, while he was doing that I was told by our server that I could not order from the menu because the cooks were busy making food for the buffet. I have Celiac and so I knew what I wanted from the menu. So I had to go ahead and just do the buffet also since my husband had already gotten his food. The buffet was $22.50 in the afternoon (the price is not posted in the menu or anywhere we could see) and we both felt that there was not enough offerings of various food to warrant that lunch buffet cost. The food was fresh because they would bring it out when the pan was empty. So when I went to get mine, several main items were gone that my husband had got on his plate. I had to go back and look for them a bit later. While each item we tried (I had little to choose from because of diet) was fresh and good, we both felt they should offer more selections. My main issue is that they should have a sign saying that they don't serve from the menu during the buffet times. We would have left instead of paying over $50 for lunch. read more

Being indian and trying to find a restaurant with authentic tasting Indian food in KC has been somewhat of a challenge at times and I was so happy to find this place recently. The food is absolutely delicious. Truly nothing that I haven't enjoyed but I especially love the Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Biryani. For lunch recently, I tried the Paratha Chicken Roll and it was delicious and a great price! This past week we checked out the buffet they offer and it's the best Indian buffet in the KC area hands down! The service was great, very attentive and kind. Went here with my parents for dinner last week. Had an excellent meal. We started with the onion pakoras, which were basically pakistani/indian onion straws. REALLY tasty. I got the chicken roll, my mom got the kadhai chicken and my dad got the Seekh Koobideh Kabab. We all loved our food. And it was probably the best naan I've had in my life. So fresh and soft! No pics because we ate so fast. We agreed it was probably our favorite indian/pakistani spot on 87th Street. Exceptionally clean, contemporary design, and no weird performances by the staff (IYKYK). A little bit of awkwardness with the service but it was all very polite and prompt. We're looking forward to going back - and also trying the thai place next door whenever that opens. Walking in, you are welcomed by a modern, clean, and welcoming dining area full of eager staff. Talking to the staff, we found out they just opened on 2/17/2023 and the restaurant has another location in Wichita. Once we were seated, we flipped through the menu but opted for the buffet since it gave us the opportunity to taste a variety of dishes. They maintained hygiene at the buffet by asking that people use disposable gloves when passing through the buffet and a new dish every visit. The dishes are stacked by the cold bar. I highly suggest getting a dish of cold foods and separate dish for the hot foods. The first thing that caught my eye was lotus root dish tossed with chili peppers. It was spicy but the flavor was great. I think it was the only spicy thing on the buffet line. I loved the pickles, chutney, babaganoush, and hummus from this area. In the hot dish section, there was a simmered beef that was super tender and the chicken marsala was creamy and deliciousness. I was a big fan of their okra too. The naan bread pudding wasn't quite a bread pudding and it was overly sweet for my taste but still good. Ask for the chai tea if you're getting the buffet. The chai tea was lightly sweetened and it was perfect. There was a lot of staff that constantly checked on us and offered help. It was a bit awkward but its their first week and they were trying to put us at ease by explaining all the different dishes. We were greeted immediately upon entering the restaurant. The staff here is amazing, checking on us frequently and offering refills on drinks and fresh baked naan. The buffet lunch cost $17.99 and is worth every penny. There is so much to offer from fresh veggies to sweet rice puddings. This price included chai or green tea. A Pakistani man in line exclaimed that he was passing through Kansas City and could not believe the amazing spread here. He was so excited that he snapped photos for his mom. We walked in and no one acknowledged us for about five minutes. The server didn't welcome us and just said are you doing buffet and she just pointed to a table and walked away. We asked to sit by the fan since there was no AC and the table was dirty. She told us she would clean it, but instead went to set up the buffet. After waiting another five minutes, she finally cleaned the table and we sat down, but no menus or water were brought until we asked. When she did bring water, she set the glasses off to the side instead of in front of us.We went up to the buffet and asked where the plates were. She just pointed and said there but there were no plates. Some of the food wasn't even labeled, which is a serious health concern for anyone with allergies. The rice was undercooked, the food was terrible, and the restaurant was unbearably hot with no AC on an 80-degree day. We still had no silverware as well. We had to ask for it. She then asked if we want more water when it was obvious my partners glass was empty. While we waited to be checked on, one of the she started getting her own food from the buffet right in front of us instead of helping us. Then later she dropped off the check without us asking while we were still eating and even tried to clear our plates. This was the worst service I've ever experienced. Between the lack of attentiveness, the poor food, the uncomfortable environment, and the unprofessional behavior, I would never recommend this place to anyone. The staff seems genuinely pleased to see you and very eager to make your visit an experience you will never forget. The food is out of this world! The 3 of us had the buffet. The selections are a variety of hot/cold and a good number to choose from. Spice level varied. Only fault we found was the naan, slightly bland. I personally would go back just of the hummus. The price for a weekend buffet was in line with others in the area. One of few (other than Chinese) that offer an evening buffet (we dined Saturday night).
