The Night Market Noodles were one of the tastiest dishes that I have had all year. Loaded with crispy fried pork belly on a bed of ramen with veggies, nuts, sauces and spices that ranged from sweet to heat. At $22, it had better been delicious and it delivered on a grand scale. I will return for it again. My first time enjoying a Thai Tea also. Packed with potent black tea, milk and spices. As a Chai and Vietnamese coffee lover; Thai tea will be my new go to whenever it is available on menus. I hope Saap Saap can grow beyond a shared food court and bring their Lao/Thai offerings across the stateline for a closer location for me.

TL;DR: Was hoping for a little bit more--love to see more Lao food but the execution wasn't really there for this price point. My friends and I tried the Khao Poon Nam Gai, the Ribeye Rice Plate, and the Night Market Noodles. The Night Market Noodles were the standout, and if I were to come here again, that's definitely what I would get. It's savory and garlicky, but I'm not sure if it was worth $21 on its own. The portions for each dish weren't significant, and we spent $20+ per person but were still hungry afterward. The Khao Poon Nam Gai wasn't bad but it didn't pack the kind of punch I was hoping for. In general, the taste and toppings were thin, and I was hoping for more since I love this dish and hope to see it more often in KC. The Ribeye Rice Plate was well-seasoned but there just wasn't enough of it. Overall, was excited about the concept, but not worth coming back for me.

Located inside of the Lenexa Public Market, Saap Saap is a fun new addition! Bar seating if you want to sit close and sip drinks, otherwise it's easy to take to-go and eat at the large number of Public Market tables. I ordered the the chicken udon noodles mild and that was just the right level of spice for me- think Thai levels! It took about 7-8 minutes, not a bad wait time at all :) Can't wait to try more on their menu! LPM has a parking garage behind it or street parking, but it does generally involve walking a decent amount, elevators are available for your convenience.

Friendly staff and great Thai! Stopped by the Lenexa City Market today and stumbled upon this excellent surprise! We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted by two friendly staff members. I tried the Lemongrass pork rice plate and the Night Market Noodles. Omg they were both soooo good! I will definitely be back to try more!

Some friends and I stopped by during one of the Chiefs games for their special on margarita and wings and boy were we glad we did! To drink, we ordered the paloma, mekong margarita, phuket sunset, thai-garita and the guava sugarcane limeade. All the drinks were SO SO delicious! I had a sip of all of them and my favorites were probably the the phuket sunset and the guava sugarcane limeade. For the food we tried the ribeye rice plate, night market noodles, ribeye pad see udon, garlic noodles and the pho chicken wings. The ribeye was seasoned and cooked perfectly! I loved the udon noodles they used, it was nice and chewy. I really liked the flavor of the night market noodles and would have loved it even more if there was an udon option! For the wings, I wasn't really sure what to expect but WOW were they delicious. The wings were perfectly fried with just the right amount of pho flavors added to them. I can't wait to go back and tey the other dishes!

I went to Saap Saap excitedly after seeing their menu with so many things I'd like to try. We both got the red curry ribeye ramen with flat egg noodles and a nice curry broth. The noodles were definitely different and not ramen but went really well with the curry soup. The ribeye was cooked to absolute perfection. I would love even more punch to the curry like ginger or chili spice, but it would be perfect for someone with a low spice tolerance. The public market is always a cool place to eat and I love the outdoor options for a nice day.

WTH. Where have I been. This is a new trendy food court in the Lenexa Public Market. The pork belly noodles caught my attention with garlic sauce "Night Market Ramen". The food is a little pricey, but totally worth it. They have Asian cooks (lol). It's not like other fast food Vietnamese Pho places, the quality and flavor is far better and unique. Definitely going to be back to try other dishes. The only suggestion I have is to add Iced Vietnamese Coffee.

Pretty good but probably better if you have it there (at least if you're getting pho)

We absolutely loved Saap Saap Noodles! My husband got the Udon Noodle Stir Fry Combo, and it was one of the best noodle dishes he's ever had--the ribeye was incredible. An employee recommended the Pho, and it was absolutely delicious. It was the best pho I've had in the US outside of Little Vietnam in Philadelphia. You could tell how much time and love goes into their dishes, and we can't wait to go back.

So like Joe K said, it's great to see more Korean chicken places in the Kansas City area. (S)KFC is…read moreamazing - the crispness of the chicken, the fantastic sauces. It's special. I'm excited just thinking about it. But oh man was I hoping for better. And I think this place could get there, if they can change some things. Joyce and Brandy laid it out well, so I'll just echo some main points: - The food could be better. Apparently it has been before. What I saw felt pretty low effort, the crispiness wasn't there. (South) Korean Fried Chicken is amazing because even with those delicious sauces, the chicken stays crispy. Best of both worlds! These wings were soggy. I didn't feel great after eating the meal. It wasn't ideal. - The service was nonexistent. I came up to the human at the counter, who directed me not to talk to her but to put in my order on the screen to the side. I hate these. I hate them so much. The UX on the terminal was clunky, the navigation in particular was so bad that there were whole sections of the menu that seemed to be missing. I now know to swipe left on the headers to scroll right to a second page of root-level categories, but be honest, just reading that in a sentence is confusing and annoying. Some people may like kiosks. That's fine! But mandating them is awkward and obnoxious. - I'm still on the service. There's a big menu. There are paper menus. There are little signs advertising fun looking items. I already know what I want. It is so much easier and more enjoyable to order with a real human and get their help. Why put the added friction of learning a clunky interface? An employee would be fluent in the system even if it's bad. And if my case is any indication, it's not helping their sales. I would totally have ordered more dishes if I'd known that was an option. It just looked like they were out so it wasn't available. - After putting in the order, I was prompted for a tip for the service. Which just felt like a coup de grace to my psyche. - It felt like there was no heart here. That's probably an ownership issue. I'm sympathetic to a point, it's not easy in general and there's a lot of pressure to cut costs (especially with the tariff arsonist disrupting supply chains). But the vibe here was dismal, you could feel it in the food and the staff. The space itself seems set up well to have large groups and good times. Could be a fun spot. But right now, the impression I get is that aside from the wings the kitchen does a lot of prepackaged instant food. So I'm not sure what they're trying to be - a decent wing place, or more of a fast-food/gas station type of spot. A vending machine with a deep fryer. Like I said before, this place has potential to be great if they can change some things. They're just going to have to want to. I'm rooting for them.

There's plenty of bright decor, neon signs, and TVs all around playing everything from live sports to K-Pop music videos! Upon request, our wonderful waitress walked us first-timers through the menu and made some recommendations (spoiler: all were fantastic!). We nabbed a couple appetizers - fries and mac and cheese - and ordered two half chicken servings: one thigh meat, one breast meat. With the chicken we tried four different sauces, and all were fantastic! Our favorites were the spicy sweet chili and the glazed honey soy! The chicken is perfectly fried - super crispy, but still moist meat! They know how to fry up a mean chicken here! We crushed ALL the food, and it was a perfect amount for four hungry people! Although the menu set expectations of the chicken being made fresh and taking up to 20 minutes to cook and arrive, ours arrived much quicker! Props to the cook for the prompt service! Also, I have to say that the value here is outstanding! A FULL family of four for less than $60 is headlining news these days! I guarantee we will be back often to 1981 K Chicken! Over all tasty. 3) Philly, delicious for the most once I heated it up at home until I found mushroom in it.
