This restaurant is known for their ramen, but I went with their oyakodon -- chicken and egg rice bowl. My dish was really delicious and great for somebody who wants to get in their protein. The only critique I had was that my rice was a bit hard still. They were having deals for their udon sets, where if you purchased any of their udon sets, you'd get to choose a drink -- pop or tea, and dessert -- ice cream or a fruit cup. I also ordered the katsu udon. The udon noodles also were a bit undercooked, and I wish the Katsu was larger. Other than that, it was a great and comforting meal. This particular location is great for those who want a bite after shopping. The service was friendly and attentive!

This was my second time visiting Konjiki, and my first at the Yorkdale location--it was a fantastic experience. Everything my friend and I ordered was excellent. We tried the Yuzu Mojito, Whisky Highball, Takoyaki, Tako Wasabi, Wagyu Ramen, Spicy Red Tonkotsu Ramen, and Tori Paitan Ramen. To finish off, we had a mango matcha drink for dessert, which was a perfect end to the meal. The service was great-- friendly, and efficient throughout. The ambiance was warm and modern, and the restaurant was packed. I'd highly recommend Konjiki to anyone looking for quality ramen and a well-rounded dining experience.

The hojicha soft serve at Saryo Cafe by Konjiki Ramen is easily one of the BEST desserts in Toronto! Creamy, toasty, and not too sweet!! The flavour is so rich and authentic, it honestly reminds me of Japan. Pairing it with their bubble waffle cone makes it even more special. Saryo also serves amazing matcha drinks and of course, Konjiki's award-winning ramen!! Service was wonderful and ambiance was super pleasant!

Konjiki Ramen at Yorkdale location is the most ideal spot for a quick but satisfying bite. Located conveniently inside yorkdale mall, you can go there before or after your shopping spree. The interior is clean, sleek, very minimalistic. A perfectly relaxing environment. Now let's talk about the food though. The ramen itself was SPOT ON. The noodles were cooked perfectly with the perfect texture. The broth was rich and flavourful. I had the Wagyu Ramen and it didn't disappoint. Please don't skip dessert! Saryo cafe which is a part of Konjiki Ramen is serving some yummy bubble waffle options and you can pair it with fresh fruits! The service was absolutely amazing. The staffs are friendly and also very helpful. Always there when we needed them. Highly recommend this place!

This is definetly one of Yorkdale's best spots for a hearty meal after a long day of shopping! Known for the Michelin star level ramen, Konjiki Yorkdale is brining delicious ramen, udon and donburi rice bowls to satisfy all appetites from adventurous eaters to the pickiest of eaters. The Wagyu Ramen has a nice refined taste to the broth with tender chunks of beef brisket adding a nice texture with the melt in your mouth wagyu meat! The Clam based ramen is a nice light option to still feel energized upon every bite of ramen! Overall, I cannot wait for my next visit!

Came here for lunch and decided to order the udon set. Seemed like a pretty good deal - tempura, dashi udon, main, dessert and beverage. We got the gyukatsu (wagyu beef cutlet medium rare) and tonkatsu. The wagyu cutlet was well done, not medium rare. The tempura shrimps were ok, but the batter was quite thick. The dashi broth was also overly salty. The best was probably the free hojicha and matcha ice cream. Service was great, restaurant was spacious, noise level wasn't too bad.

Finally made it here! Modern and beautiful spot with great service and great food. Every dish that came from the kitchen looked gorgeous and delicious. We all ordered the Wagyu Udon Soup and it was amazing. Fragrant soup with hearty udon noodles and tasty beef hit the spot.

I feel this Konjiki location is superior to the other ones, as I found out that they use premium ingredients. Their wagyu beef is imported from Japan, whereas the other locations have it imported from the States. I doubt the beef imported from the U.S. is even wagyu. It's cool that there was a chicken ramen exclusive to this location. Delicious and worth trying. They confirmed they don't use msg in their food, so I drank all the broth in my ramen. Not a lot of restaurants are open about this. Service was top notch and it was great they had a server that knew Cantonese. There are bathrooms inside and I found it to be quite clean, which exceeded my expectations since this location is in a mall. I'll be returning in the future to bring my friends here so they can experience what I did.

We were seated right away! It was pretty kid friendly. We ordered two supersize noodles to share with our two kids. At first I didn't think the signature noodle had that much taste but you need to mix it. Once mixed the truffle smell and taste really comes out. The tonkatsu wasn't bad but if you have the signature one first, then it seems not as flavourful. The soft serve ice cream was yummy and a great way to end the meal!

Excellent ramen joint nestled inside Yorkdale mall. The restaurant has modern decor and a lively ambiance. I recommend the wagyu ramen which was fantastic. Some of their appetizers were also very good, such as the takoyaki and potato croquettes. Service was quick and prices are reasonable.

    Vegetable avocado ramen
    Andrea L.

I loved eating the vegetarian avocado ramen. It was light but very filling and rich at the same time (which is such a strange way to describe it and yet for some reason makes sense.) the pumpkin was caramelized to the point of meatiness, I don't know how they did that but I appreciate that. The noodles were standard and the soup broth really brought everything together. I could actually taste the creamy avocado. And the porcini mushroom helped bring in more meaty texture and umami flavour. What stole the show was the fried vegetable nuggets. I recommend eating it with the spoon of the creamy soup and gentle kiss of the house chili oil (which has a nice gentle hum of heat and a touch of sweetness, but start small, otherwise you'll choke on the oil like I did). The arugula and the lemon with tomato cut through the creaminess and added an extra layer of freshness. The interior is pretty much like any standard Japanese restaurant, but I appreciate the tile work, it was really pretty and enjoyable to look at while waiting. The service was very fast and we didn't have to wait long to sit or eat. I'd like to come back and try their other offerings when I get the chance,

    Wagyu ramen

With the cold weather we've been experiencing, I thought it would be a great idea to have a bowl of ramen and I was not disappointed. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Service was prompt and friendly, and we were seated almost immediately. We tried two different bowls - one with the wagyu and one with the chicken, and both were delicious. The broth was rich and flavourful, the noodles were perfectly cooked and the wagyu was high quality. To finish off the meal, we indulged in the green tea tiramisu (shared between the both of us) and it was the perfect end to the meal. Subtly sweet and earthy, it was a nice contrast to the ramen. Konjiki Ramen has definitely earned a spot on a list of restaurants to revisit!

This is our first visit here, and I brought my parents along to try it out. The ramen was delicious, and the meat was cooked perfectly, as my parents prefer tender meat. My mother particularly enjoyed their truffle fries. I would definitely return to try a different ramen dish. The only minor issue is that it can be challenging to get the staff's attention.

My friend had the King of Kings as our server said this is one of their most popular choices. I opted for the Spicy Charsu. Now I understand some people can't handle heat but I live off of Purple Tongue hot sauce which is made with some pretty hot peppers. I asked for a level one and the lady explained that the spice level on the Charsu was a whole series of levels higher than the King of Kings. I get that . Give me the heat. Anywho, she was comfortable with giving me 0.5 but said I could make it hotter if need be. Ok, better to start smaller I guess. They put some sauce on the side which I added to my bowl. Personally I found the 0.5 a nice tingle; it was good. Made my nose run. But I'm totally getting the level 1 next time. My friend however tried a sip of my broth, spit it out and said poison poison because of the heat Mind you, his King of Kings was a level 1. Which to me tasted creamy and delicious. I love a good pork bone soup and I opted for the Spicy Charsu because of the pork bone base. I loved the broth. It was perfection. The noodles were so fresh . The portion size was enormous. I kept eating and more noodles appeared. The Charsu had an amazing flavor to it . Smoky and delicious . My friend is a larger man and even he commented on the portion size saying he would be ok with a smaller size as he was so full. Good portions for your money. We also had the Gyoza and the TakoYaki. The TakoYaki was soft and loaded with the delicious sauce. The Gyoza were enormous. We were both 100% satisfied with our visit and will be back for sure.

The concerned server told me that it may be painful, but being the chili head that I am, I gladly took on the challenge. It was a larger bowl than their regular size and my ramen came topped with lots of corn, some mushrooms, bean sprouts and 6 large pieces of chasu. The broth was magma red, but it was not as spicy as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, it was spicy but not to the point where it would warrant a warning. The spicy broth tasted like a mix of Buldak sauce and Capsaicin, but didn't have much depth. I finished my ramen, broth and all and enjoyed most of the experience. The least favorite was the chasu and the egg as chasu did not taste fresh, and I could not taste the char on them at all. The egg was over-cooked and under marinated which was disappointing. It's still one of the few ramen options in Durham but can't say it's comparable to the other Kenzo locations.

Reach ten stamps and you get a free bowl of ramen. - The chashu is excellent! My rating is 4.5 stars. I'm rounding down. Last Tuesday, I had my monthly 7 am meeting with a bunch of technical writing peers from around the world. It's quite the meeting that typically lasts for four hours. Luckily, we ended earlier than usual. It meant that my workday ended at around 3:30 pm. It was perfect, as I had a concert to attend several hours later. Normally, I don't do dinner before a concert. I grab a quick bite to each before I head downtown. This time, since I was done work early, I felt that having an early dinner was worthwhile. I drove downtown and parked in a lot that seems to be my usual spot whenever I'm attending a concert at Massey Hall. My original plan was to find an eatery close to the concert venue. I spotted Hokkaido Ramen Santouka steps away. I wanted ramen! I walked in and there was a sign that said to wait. I had no wait time. A woman and the entire staff greeted me. I asked for a table for me and got one. It was great. Seating between tables and diners is close together. You definitely overhear conversations and you can't help it. The man next to me had stretched his foot under my table. I didn't notice that he was in my space until I uncrossed my leg and my foot hit his. I listened to two friends next to me. The man seemed to take charge over what he and his female friend should eat, which was interesting. He gave the impression that he was an expert until the server came over and he had a ton of questions. It's always fun being an observer and listener. I had no choice but to listen to her dating experiences. I got a menu. I knew what I wanted. My server came over and was ready to take my order. I got these items: - Diet Coke - Miso chachu ramen, with bamboo shoot held - Jammy egg and corn as extra toppings The menu doesn't tell you what ingredients you get in each type of ramen. However, it does come with a photo. I asked how large a large bowl of ramen was. My server was great pointing up to a display of three bowls. I went large. The photo indicated that my miso ramen had bamboo shoots. I'm not a fan of them, so I asked that they be omitted. I also added a jammy egg and corn. I got a cold can of Diet Coke. A frosted glass with ice accompanied it. I was happy. I love an icy cold drink. This one was excellent. I loved that it was extra cold. My bowl of ramen had arrived. I was excited to dive in. My miso chachu ramen was delicious. The miso flavour was on point. I drank most of the broth, which speaks volumes on how yummy it was. The chachu was tender and had the best balance of pork and fattiness. The number of slices was generous. The ramen was chewy and perfectly done. I loved the corn and jammy egg. I probably wouldn't have enjoyed my ramen without these two key toppings. They worked nicely with the green onions. What prevents me from giving this place a perfect rating is flagging a server to get me water, or to frankly flag any staffer for something, such as ordering dessert or getting the bill. It took effort and hand-waving to get their attention. It took two tries to get a glass of water with ice. I was happy when I got some after I had finished my Diet Coke. It was equally as cold and yummy. I ordered dessert. The menu is stuck on each table. I asked what ice cream flavours were available. There were two flavours and I went with matcha. It was rich, creamy, and full of strong matcha flavour. The scoop of ice cream was generous. I loved the small spoon, which allowed this dessert to last a lot longer. I asked for the bill. I got a payment machine. I used my credit card to pay and tip. All was great. I used the washroom before I headed over to explore the downtown area. The washrooms are downstairs. It's an older building, so accessibility is an issue. There are two single-stall washrooms. The one that I used was clean. Because it's an older building, the ceiling is low. I am just shy of six feet in height. I made it without hitting my head on the ceiling. If you are six feet and taller, you'll need to duck to make sure you don't bang your head. Staff say goodbye to you when you leave. It was a nice touch, although I don't know what they are saying to me in Japanese. They could be swearing at me and I wouldn't know. I had a wonderful experience here. If you don't mind sitting close to folks and waving your arms like a maniac to get your server's attention, come here. This ramen joint appeared as a Michelin place in 2017. I can see why. The food quality is excellent. (200)
