Came here on a day off as we are running errands in the neighbourhood. It's a quiet Tuesday noon time for lunch, but the owner is blasting J-Pop music in the background. Lol! Good vibes so far. Service is efficient and the servers left us alone to have a good conversation. Then our food arrived and it was flavourful and loaded with goodies. Love this place!

This place is located in a plaza off of Major McKenzie and Woodbine right beside a Canadian Tire. The location is smaller so a bit harder to find but very worth it. My other half and I came on a Tuesday for lunch and at first seeing the pricing I was a bit skeptical given the interior is almost cafeteria like with one country you order from and you go sit down. All tables included cube seating (chairs with no backs). The stools were wide and well cushioned but just no back. There is sufficient space for a stroller but it would be a challenge if you wanted to use a booster My other half ordered the deluxe ramen while I got the pork cartilage one. The deluxe ramen was truly deluxe in size and occluded cha siu with pork cartilage, ramen egg corn and various other condiments. The pork cartilage ramen was as per the name largely pork cartilage. The noodles were well portioned and al dente, the pork cartilage was genourous, flavorful, and excellent mouth chew. The Cha Siu was also thick cut and full of flavor. The eggs were well done slightly soft boiled in the middle. Overall a really good ramen place in an unexpected location. I would definitely come back and wouldn't hesitate to mention to others

Small interior but has great ramen! Packed with flavour and the charsiu was thick and meaty. Quick and friendly service. We got the tonkatsu and signature Hokkaido - would come again to try the other flavours! More than enough food in terms of portion size.

Came here to catch up with a few friends. Ambiance - 4/5: it's a small, cozy place with quite a few tables. There's a Godzilla in front of a volcano painting. There's also a godzilla figurine/build at the cash area. There is only 1 bathroom. It seemed small to me so I'm not sure if it is wheelchair accessible? Service - 5/5: hard for me to give full 5 for service. This server was really nice and attentive. She came over to ask us if she could take down our orders. I just chose to order through the app. You will just need to go up to pay after the meal. She came to refill our waters frequently and asked us how our meals were. She was also pleasant with other customers as well. Food - 4/5: I got the premium supreme ramen (comes with chicken breast and pork). I chose hoikkaido base. It was rich and creamy and not salty (I did request for less salt on the app). The chicken breast was surprisingly mostly tender and juicy. There were some parts that were chewy. It costed $20.50 + tax) but it was a good portion. Overall, it was decent Overall: 4/5 - I enjoyed it. I would come back again with friends

Spacious and not too busy for lunch. The server lady is so kind and accommodating. The food I would give a 3/5. It's subpar in my opinion. There are other ramen places with better broth and toppings. I really enjoyed the egg. The pork was mediocre. I would still come here for a quick ramen when I have cravings and it's too close to home to not go to.

Nice little Japanese ramen place on Major Mac in Markham, located at the same plaza as CanTire. Good broth taste. Great ramen texture. It's a quick and easy meal. Pretty happy with it!

This place has a very hearty bowl of ramen. Although on the pricier side of ramen pricing it is pretty tasty. The service is great and the restaurant is decorated simply with the menu on a screen. I would come back if my wallet had more money .

    Hokkaido Ramen (16.50)

Been to their location up at Hwy 7 & Chalmers plenty of times but haven't gone since they moved a bit more north. They did a little rebrand and cleaned up the menu offering but it's pretty much the same as before where their signature Hokkaido ramen is on full display as well as a host of other broth options. They do contactless ordering even if you're dining in where you scan the QR code on the table for the ordering platform which you also pay for right on the site as well. Food came promptly after placing the order on my phone. They use paper cups for water as well as the wooden chopsticks, which tbh I really prefer having some "real" cups or chopsticks. Ordered the Hokkaido Ramen (16.50), which was exactly as I remembered from their other location. Very milky and rich broth. They are one of few ramen spots that definitely don't skimp out on portions with 3 pieces of pork along with ample amount of noodle, and other toppings like the naruto, corn and fungus. Usually when I go to ramen places I have to go for their large options or have extra noodles to actually be full but definitely not this place which is great. Their ramen is definitely a 4-4.5 star in my books its just tough at 16.50 a bowl and being served disposable cutlery/cups :(.

This is my third time coming here, ordering the exact same thing as I was hoping for improvements in the tonkotsu broth. Alas, while the ingredients are top notch, the tonkotsu ramen does not have strong enough flavour for me. Don't get me wrong. It is not not-salty-enough. It is just the broth is weak in flavour. And perhaps this is a more authentic approach of the tonkotsu ramen, I don't know. I still like it, but not enough to keep paying the $17 per bowl for something that's not exactly what I like. Service is very good and attentive, plus the Godzilla mural is a fun ambiance for this ramen shop. I would still recommend it.

Ramen | LLBO A real struggle between rating 4 and 5 stars to be honest. I would say it's a 5 Star if it wasn't for the one ramen. A small ramen restaurant that seats around 24 people with private parking lot where it used to be Marble Slab. Right off the Highway too with banks nearby. Reward points system $1 spent = 1pt Reward items: 120pts Gyoza / 280pts Takoyaki / 480pts Ramen They have sake and beers not too mainstream such as Asahi black and sake jelly. Lovely service and very clean. I noticed one girl wipe down seats, tables, trays and counter tops where dirty dishes were placed earlier. The bathrooms were so clean it almost looked spotless! A bit of the downside is that they served water in paper cups and beer in plastic cups. FOOD WISE Hokkaido Ramen + Chicken Karrage Combo - Creamy rich broth - Nice thinly sliced scallion showing some good knife skills - Pork could have more fat for better ratio - Karrage reminded me of popcorn chicken This is where it lost points for me ... Ice cream volcano ramen After my first bite I literally said "I don't know what I just ate" I was disappointed with the broth and a lack of garnish (not even a sprinkle of green onion). A bit too fusion for me. I wouldn't suggest this unless you just want it for the IG post, gimmick and hype. I'll definitely come back to try other things!

My friend recommended this restaurant, after we hiked yesterday afternoon. We went to the previous location, and the restaurant moved to this location. I ordered the Signature Ramen. I can't remember the name of Ramen, but I remember the number A2. My friend ordered A7. We have some Apps as well. The staff are so nice, the place is new and quiet. The ramen tasted so good. We haven't had ramen for a while since COVID pandamic.

The restaurant was at a busy location, which was the end of the driveway, everyone sees it before making a turn. The staff was nice when we walked in. We were greeted and directed to a corner table where was better with a baby. We showed them 2 coupons, 1 for ramen and 1 for fried chicken. The staff needed to talk to the owner about them. After a few seconds, she came back and said only 1 coupon per visit. We were a bit disappointed, because we were so hard to dine out with a baby, and not able to come again with a long drive and a baby. We talked to their owner, he was nice to let us try both at the same time. Oh yeah! So we have 1 original ramen with black garlic oil, and 1 tomato base. It won't take long to wait. The fried chicken came first, it was not like the breaded chicken, it fried from original, but after marinated; it has taste, but not salty. The 2 ramen came at the same time. They both really rich, but not so salty, because the salt level could be altered; the noodle size could be chosen as well, we did 1 thick and 1 thin. They both looked similar. Overall, the ramen and the chicken all looked good and tasty. I would like to come again if next time I come around this area, even though they were a bit pricey.

At first the broth wasn't that impressive, but it definitely grew on me as I ate. I loved the flavour on the chashu (none of that bland unflavored pork here) and the shiitake mushrooms were also marinated very well (though they were a bit on the sweet side). Don't be fooled by the photo - there is a lot of noodle in there! They also offer a free kids meal deal for kids under 12 with an order of two bowls of ramen, which is pretty nice if you're eating out as a family.

Interior is pretty nice with a couple tables available for small to medium size groups. Staff is pretty friendly and orders came in on time. Food I'll be honest, I'm not exactly sure how their ramen is different from other chains - but I do like the fact that they have a lot of different seasonal menu items to try. A little while back they had their gyudon ramen and matcha ramen - which was very unique from anything I've experienced. The gyudon was literally like the rice version, but they have it with noodles. It's a little oily after a while cause the way you make it. But quite comforting and heavy for big eaters. Matcha ramen was alright - didn't feel it was anything specialy, but they use duck pieces rather than pork cha siu. It had a better balance that way and didn't felt too heavy. Pricing wise is pretty standard now with inflation. Nice place that it's close to me, but I don't see myself coming too often though.

I ended up with just the one and I enjoyed it but wished there was more garlic flavour and other items. I also ordered the vegetarian app platter (tofu nuggets, edamame, and purple yam fries were good and simple). The bowl comes with 5 slices of duck, nori, a small naruto fish cake, 2 small slices of crunch lotus, and green onion. I'm a tad surprised that this Kinton Ramen got not-so-stellar reviews as of late. In contrast, I had a fabulous experience. My worst experience at any Kinton has been its Richmond Hill location. Staff got my order wrong, fished out bamboo shoot that I clearly stated that I didn't want, and did not care if I may or may not have a food allergy by giving me the same bowl of ramen. I had come to CF Markville Mall to pick up an order at Swarovski. I used mall entrance 1 to get there. I passed by this Kinton Ramen on my way over. I was ready for an early dinner. It was probably 4 pm on a Monday. I drove over here from my workplace in Mississauga. I thought that it would be great to give this eatery a try. The only downside is that you don't have mall access to this eatery. If you're in the mall, you have to to exit it through entrance 1 and then use the separate Kinton Ramen entrance. It's a bit inconvenient. I'd probably be more annoyed if I had a ton of shopping bags full of goods and winds were at 80 km/h for me to exit the mall and get into this eatery. Luckily, it was a nice day and I had a small bag. I entered the eatery and was greeted immediately by a female staffer. I asked for a table and got one with a view of Churchill's Cigar and Gift. It was also fun to people-watch as I ate. I looked at the menu. The burnt shoyu ramen looked good. I lucked out, as this ramen was a part of a Kinton combo. Yes! I got these items as part of my combo: - Sparkling yuzu lemonade - Pork gyoza (4) - Burnt shoyu with thick ramen and corn I got a cup with cold water. It was refreshing and much needed. It was refilled regularly. I am a fan of sparkling drinks. I love yuzu. Put them in a lemonade and I am happy. The sparkling yuzu lemonade was excellent. Yuzu has a more subtle lemony flavour that is so refreshing. It felt fancy having fizzy lemonade. I loved this drink so much. The pork gyoza came out next. I got four of them. They were deep-fried. The pork filling was yummy. I loved my bowl of burnt shoyu ramen. The thick ramen noodles were chewy and perfect. The chashu was delicious and flavourful. I loved the dry seaweed, corn, jammy egg, scallions, bean sprouts, and garlic chips. There was a mild burnt flavour to the pork broth that was nice. I couldn't fit dessert in. I was stuffed. I paid my bill at the table with a credit card. I tapped the machine with my card and was done. I used the washroom before I left. It was fancy, from the sink, to complimentary mouthwash. As I was leaving this eatery, I saw a pickup window for takeout orders. It was cool. I like this Kinton a lot. Staff were friendly and competent. The food and drink were excellent. I'll be back.
