The ramen here received rave reviews from everyone at the table. :) The fried rice was just OK. On the other hand, there weren't too many options for vegetarians except for the fried tofu ramen - I wish they would have an option to customize the noodles as well. Service was pretty standard although we did have to work hard to get our bills. Oh, and the tea was delicious, but again we did not manage to get it refilled. In summary: good food, reasonable prices, sufficient distancing, clean environment. Perfect for a casual meal! P.S. The spicy ramen is really quite spicy. You've been warned.

Went to the Ajax location and got scammed. I just got scammed by this company who took advantage of me as I brought my two young children. I took my young kids, there was the anniversary special, when we got in I was told that it was buy one get one and I asked if I can take out the food they said that I would have to pay full price for takeout as it was buy one get one. So I ordered two for myself not to waste the deal and one for each child and ate in restaurant. I made sure to ask the waitress if this was buy one get one and they said yes. So I ordered 4 ramen for the table and one for takeout as they told me we couldn't pack up what the kids couldn't finish because of the buy one get one deal. When the bill came I was told it was all full price. I didn't want to argue as my kids were stressed out so I left, only to be scammed while they laughed. This was disgraceful. So instead of paying for 3 I paid for 5. Buyer be ware, they saw I was having a hard time with my kids and decided to make a few extra dollars off me. Its a shame as I always enjoyed this franchise especially when I would go to Hong Kong but they are out to make fast money over reputation.

Perfect portion size, good tasting broth. I like how the char sui is slightly charred. I ordered the soup broth with black garlic. Good value!

This place has never changed, especially in terms of quality and quantity. Got the Tom Yum Steak Ramen Rib eye steak served on a sizzling plate, corn, bean sprouts, green onions but switched the TOM YUM soup for Black Garlic! It hit the spot. I mean portion wise was perfect, and the broth was super flavourful. My breath smelled like smoked garlic... in a good way. lol Also got the chicken ramen and wapped the spicy soup of original pork! Super yummy. Cannot go wrong with $14.99 chicken ramen and $16.99 for Steak Ramen! Will always come here when i get a ramen craving.

The best overall description of Ajisen, is that it is the fast-food version of ramen shops. The choices are simple with some mix and match to make your ideal combo, the service is quick, the food comes promptly and a meal will take you less than 20 minutes if you are fast about it. My partner had the pork katsu ramen in tomyum soup while I had the fried chicken ramen in black garlic soup. Both were hearty and comforting. The ramen noodles were springy while the soup was flavorful without being too salty. The fried chicken confused me for a moment because the outside batter was a thick, but it stayed crispy while the chicken inside was moist. So not a bad fried chicken overall. A good fast food meal overall!

Lovely service. Food came in a timely manner. My friend's kid has autism and the owner brought him 2 spring rolls to calm him down as we waited for food. The food was a good amount and very tasty.

This has been my go to ramen restaurant for a while now. Their ramens are always extremely delicious and very flavourful. My favorite is their spicy beef ramen. Their gyoza is also Higleyrecommended. Service is also really good. Price didn't went up a bit in recent years, but that's the norm now.

Manager was nice enough to give me the spicy condiment on the side as to not sure how spicy I want and if I wanted more he would provide. The ramen and side dishes are a must try

I was looking for a good bowl of ramen while visiting from the USA and was glad to find this place after 9pm on a Sunday night. It was a busy place so our order took a bit but it was all worth it. The broth was flavorful and they are not stingy on the noodles. Our son loved the fried shrimp and ramen. He gave it a thumbs up and he is a picky eater.

i got the fried tofu ramen with black garlic broth! it came with two pieces of fried tofu, half a soy egg, veggies, corn, broccoli, and enoki & shiitake mushrooms. i was really happy with my choice because the other meat-based ramens didn't come with as many toppings :) the fried tofu was really good, and i really enjoyed the broth. the portion was pretty big too! i would give this place 3.5 or 4 stars :)

I tried this restaurant in new York so want to see if it is the same here in Canada. The place is not bad. The service is pretty good. We order different type of foods plus the ramen. The ramen is pretty good. I say this place is similar to the one in new York. Will definitely come back here again when I come back to Canada.

I love ramen. I frequented two restaurants often to get my fix. The first one recently changed ownership. It is now an all-you-can-eat joint and it completely dropped ramen off its menu. The other one that was a five-minute drive from my home has closed. Today's mission? To find a yummy ramen place to call my usual hangout when I crave it. I have found it! I have dined at the Yonge Street location a few times. The one in Markham is the latest addition. I went in at 3 pm, after my dentist appointment. It wasn't busy, so I highly recommend dropping by during off-peak hours. The lunch specials are good until 5:30 pm, which is great for someone like me who takes lunch late. What was impressive was seeing gyoza in pan-fried, deep-fried, and boiled varieties. I went with the former. You get three for $1.99. It was the perfect appetizer. I then ordered the number 5 item off the menu, which was corn with pork ramen. I am a huge corn fan. It came with mushrooms, half a soya hard-boiled egg, three slices of pork, bean sprouts, and thin ramen noodles in a salted soup base. The verdict? It was so delicious that I finished the soup base. I rarely do that! The portion size was perfect for me. If you are a protein lover, you may want to order extra pork. I had gyoza as an appetizer, so I was good. I saw a couple of customers ordering ramen to go. I will be giving that a try next time. The washrooms aren't in the best shape, which is the only reason why I am not giving this place a perfect rating. I will be back for more yummy ramen goodness.

Its menu already shows its uniqueness: its signature ramen is shio ramen, which simply means salt ramen. Unlike other ramen restaurants that often promote their strong and heavy-flavoured pork broth, Santouka just says "salty broth." I think it really reflects Japanese culture and spirit. The chef's craftsmanship shows that using simple ingredients is enough to make flavorful food. I ordered the Shio Ramen and an Aji-tama (medium-boiled egg). It still had a very strong savoury flavour and wasn't too salty at all. To be honest, it tasted like pork broth to me. Whatever it was, it made me feel comfortable while having the ramen and after the meal. Meals at other ramen restaurants are usually too salty. Sorry, I am playing with words here, because it is interesting that the "salty broth" isn't too salty, while other broths are usually saltier. The branch in Scarborough is spacious and very suitable for dining with family, friends, or even business associates. The plaza it is in is a very competitive area for noodle cuisine. You can add Hokkaido Ramen Santouka to your radar the next time you go there.

The restaurant was at a busy location, which was the end of the driveway, everyone sees it before making a turn. The staff was nice when we walked in. We were greeted and directed to a corner table where was better with a baby. We showed them 2 coupons, 1 for ramen and 1 for fried chicken. The staff needed to talk to the owner about them. After a few seconds, she came back and said only 1 coupon per visit. We were a bit disappointed, because we were so hard to dine out with a baby, and not able to come again with a long drive and a baby. We talked to their owner, he was nice to let us try both at the same time. Oh yeah! So we have 1 original ramen with black garlic oil, and 1 tomato base. It won't take long to wait. The fried chicken came first, it was not like the breaded chicken, it fried from original, but after marinated; it has taste, but not salty. The 2 ramen came at the same time. They both really rich, but not so salty, because the salt level could be altered; the noodle size could be chosen as well, we did 1 thick and 1 thin. They both looked similar. Overall, the ramen and the chicken all looked good and tasty. I would like to come again if next time I come around this area, even though they were a bit pricey.

Food I'll be honest, I'm not exactly sure how their ramen is different from other chains - but I do like the fact that they have a lot of different seasonal menu items to try. A little while back they had their gyudon ramen and matcha ramen - which was very unique from anything I've experienced. The gyudon was literally like the rice version, but they have it with noodles. It's a little oily after a while cause the way you make it. But quite comforting and heavy for big eaters. Matcha ramen was alright - didn't feel it was anything specialy, but they use duck pieces rather than pork cha siu. It had a better balance that way and didn't felt too heavy. I'm a tad surprised that this Kinton Ramen got not-so-stellar reviews as of late. In contrast, I had a fabulous experience. My worst experience at any Kinton has been its Richmond Hill location. Staff got my order wrong, fished out bamboo shoot that I clearly stated that I didn't want, and did not care if I may or may not have a food allergy by giving me the same bowl of ramen. I had come to CF Markville Mall to pick up an order at Swarovski. I used mall entrance 1 to get there. I passed by this Kinton Ramen on my way over. I was ready for an early dinner. It was probably 4 pm on a Monday. I drove over here from my workplace in Mississauga. I thought that it would be great to give this eatery a try. The only downside is that you don't have mall access to this eatery. If you're in the mall, you have to to exit it through entrance 1 and then use the separate Kinton Ramen entrance. It's a bit inconvenient. I'd probably be more annoyed if I had a ton of shopping bags full of goods and winds were at 80 km/h for me to exit the mall and get into this eatery. Luckily, it was a nice day and I had a small bag. I entered the eatery and was greeted immediately by a female staffer. I asked for a table and got one with a view of Churchill's Cigar and Gift. It was also fun to people-watch as I ate. I looked at the menu. The burnt shoyu ramen looked good. I lucked out, as this ramen was a part of a Kinton combo. Yes! I got these items as part of my combo: - Sparkling yuzu lemonade - Pork gyoza (4) - Burnt shoyu with thick ramen and corn I got a cup with cold water. It was refreshing and much needed. It was refilled regularly. I am a fan of sparkling drinks. I love yuzu. Put them in a lemonade and I am happy. The sparkling yuzu lemonade was excellent. Yuzu has a more subtle lemony flavour that is so refreshing. It felt fancy having fizzy lemonade. I loved this drink so much. The pork gyoza came out next. I got four of them. They were deep-fried. The pork filling was yummy. I loved my bowl of burnt shoyu ramen. The thick ramen noodles were chewy and perfect. The chashu was delicious and flavourful. I loved the dry seaweed, corn, jammy egg, scallions, bean sprouts, and garlic chips. There was a mild burnt flavour to the pork broth that was nice. I couldn't fit dessert in. I was stuffed. I paid my bill at the table with a credit card. I tapped the machine with my card and was done. I used the washroom before I left. It was fancy, from the sink, to complimentary mouthwash. As I was leaving this eatery, I saw a pickup window for takeout orders. It was cool. I like this Kinton a lot. Staff were friendly and competent. The food and drink were excellent. I'll be back.
